Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one awesome street rod, the 1936 Ford 2 door sedan, also known as the \"Model 48\". Introduced in 1935, the Model 48 sedan for sale was given a cosmetic refresh annually. The 1935 Ford\'s combination of price, practicality and looks vaulted the company ahead of rival Chevrolet for the sales crown that year, with 820,000 sold. Chevrolet regained the sales lead at the end of 1936, but the Ford still sold extremely well. A new club cabriolet model was introduced with a fully framed windshield and weatherproof top, and the convertible sedan gained the popular integrated trunk back design known worldwide as the \"Slant back\". The look from \'35 to \'36 was updated with an inverted pentagonal grille with all-vertical bars beneath a prominent hood and three horizontal chrome side strips (on DeLuxe models). A concealed horn, long a prominent part of the Ford\'s design, also brought the car into modern times. The new trucks continued with the old grille. Other major changes for 1936 were the use of pressed steel \"artillery\" solid wheels instead of wire wheels. For sale in our Orlando showroom is a 1950 Ford Sedan. The 1949 Ford was the first new automobile design since the war featuring the iconic %26acirc;??pontoon%26acirc;? design. This design is heralded as being the one that ushered in the streamlined design phase that was predominant in the early 50%26acirc;??s. This fun little sedan has been left in a very much original state minus a few upgrades to enhance the safety and comfort of the driver. Under the hood is the legendary 239CID Flat head V8 that has been rebuilt and treated to a rebuilt original Stromberg carb. There have not been any performance upgrades done to the engine and she fires up almost too easily and runs as smooth as a sewing machine. A/C has been added from vintage air and will freeze you out of the car. The owner has added LED driving lights and HID headlights to make this vehicle more visible and safer at night, plus the do look pretty darn cool on this old school ride. Inside the cabin the interior was recently redone and the vinyl is about as clean as they come and the headliner was redone in the traditional mohair style fabric like it had from the factory. It was actually repainted a few years ago and they wisely chose to not only keep the FILA's special color combination, but replaced the distinctive red and black pinstripes that run the length of the body. It's got a few signs of use since then, but it's pretty obvious that someone has always treated this car as something special and the sheetmetal underneath is in great shape. And speaking of shapes, this aerodynamic Thunderbird was a game-changer, ushering in the aerodynamic age at Ford and signaling to the rest of the industry that boxy cars were over. Add in a color-coded grille, blacked-out trim, and a few well-chosen Thunderbird badges from a later T-Bird, and you get one of the most visually striking and distinctive cars of the '80s. Even 30 years later, this car is dramatic. The original interior is in good condition, showing the usual wear on the outer bolsters on the driver's seat, but everything else looks pretty good for its age. Buckets were standard equipment in the Thunderbird (who would want a bench seat anyway?) and the supportive chairs are still comfortable today. The FILA edition came with just about every option, including A/C, power locks, windows, and seats, a tilt steering column, and cruise control, making it a fine choice today. The center console is festooned with buttons and switches, giving the car a very high-tech look, but it's all quite stock, from the factory gauges to the AM/FM/cassette stereo in the center of the dash. The A/C still blows cold and you'll probably find that you feel right at home within a few moments of climbing aboard. In back, there's a good-sized trunk that still carries its original space-saver spare tire. Ford's venerable 5.0 liter V8 was one of the engine choices in 1984, and it's probably the one you want today. Making the same kind of torque as the one they were throwing in the Mustang, the FILA Thunderbird is surprisingly quick and gives you a great whack of acceleration when you step on the loud pedal. The engine bay is tidy but original, and unlike so many other 5.0-equipped vehicles, it's completely stock. The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is a willing partner, with quick downshifts and an easy-cruising overdrive gear plus 2.73 gears out back for pretty decent fuel economy. The same Fox-platform hardware that underpins the Mustang is found here, so it's confident but comfortable and the hardware is virtually bulletproof. There's a recent exhaust system that has a nice V8 burble to it and the original alloy wheels have been refinished to match the body, just as it was when it was new. Recent 195/70/14 blackwall radials give it just the right look for 1984. With only 2532 FILA edition Thunderbirds built, this is among the most collectable. It's also a very reasonably-priced way to get into the hobby with a car that's a lot of fun to drive. Time to let one of my turbocoupes go, this is a nice low 68,875 mile 1 owner car that I purchased from the estate of the original owner, the car was sitting for years in probate and will require some mechanical work before putting back on the road but does run and drive as is . This car didn't run when I purchased it only due to it sitting for a length of time. I have replaced the fuel tank, fuel pump & strainer, fuel gauge sending unit, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and battery. The bird starts right up and the motor sounds very good, the transmission shifts nice and it goes down the road decent, brakes feel good, suspension rattled a few times, I suspect a bad front sway bar bushing. For a short period of time I would have called the car drivable but after a short ride around town on a repair plate the oil seal in the turbo started to show signs of failure and will need to be addressed as after it runs for awhile it starts to smoke as the oil leaks into the motor. The car is very much so original, the interior is very nice and clean, the body is decent but has dings here and there on the sides from shopping carts i'm assuming, the left rear quarter was repainted as well as the header panel, and the hood has 2 dents in it, rust is minimal. There is rust along the rear window trim but not bad, some on the inside of door jambs and underside of floors all of which are just surface corrosion and nothing you could jab a tool through, I'm just trying to be as honest as can be describing the car. All in all it is a nice low mileage car in my opinion as I have owned 12 of these tbirds through my life and have come to know them very very well. These cars have jumped very fast in value in the last few years and are starting to bring good money, so here's your chance to get one that will require some work but by all means isn't a junker and is very well worth investing in. Also since I have owned so many of these cars I have stripped a lot as well and I do have everything needed to convert this car to a 5 speed, that I would sell separately. for sale is my beloved 85 turbocoupe that I have bought from its original owner who was a tech inspector for lime rock race park here in ct and was raced in a production stock class dury the first few years of its life. this car has almost every rare motorsports performance part that was available when he bought it as well as a ton of modern performance parts I installed. first this car has never seen snow and has an almost perfect body outside of some chips and scratches. the original owner installed a factory front mount intercooler kit from ford that was made by spearco, rf upper and lower intake manifolds, eibach lowering springs, koni adjustable shocks, a quick ratio power rack, and urethane suspension bushings all his work was dated and documented with his service records. I bought this car 7 years ago and have driven it every were including cross country as I love these cars and have always owned one since 1993. What I have done to this car is first I started with a low mileage 80,000 mile 88 drive train, had the cylinder head reworked with a very expensive boport 1.5 high performance roller cam, followers and lifters the car is run through a la2 ecu with a custom flashed superchip as well, it uses the large vam with the air temp circuit added to the upper intake, pulling through a k&n filter, has 35lb injectors with an accufab boost refrenced adjustable fuel pressure regulator that's fed from a walbro 255 pump, the turbo is a garret t3 mounted to the larger 88 e7 exhaust manifold running 19lbs of boost with a stinger 3.5" stainless down pipe and 3" single exhaust with an ultraflow muffler. The transmission is a world class t5 from the 88 with a heavy duty clutch and short throw shifter. It also was converted to a twin electric cooling fan set up from the 88 I stripped, one fan is controlled by the pcm the other is on a manual switch for back up if caught in traffic. I have sunk thousands into this car and really don't want to sell it but with age comes changes of interest and I don't have the room for this car indoors anymore and instead of watching this car go down hill I would rather it go to someone who would care for it the way the original owner and I did. the car was painted 5 years ago to clone my first car, it was originally a gray car that I painted a newer Cadillac silver, it is painted in ppg base clear and looks decent though I did not do the jambs or color sanded and buffed the clear out, but it was painted in a real booth and has minimal dust spots and the gray jambs blend in with the gray interior. the interior is the only thing really showing its age the carpets are badly stained, the seats are not ripped but are sun faded and some of the plastic in the door panels are falling apart. the car has had a hella head light conversion and mustang cobra r wheels installed, rims are 17x8 and 17x9 tires are fair (5 years old) the rear end is the original 342 posi and does make some noise from age but not bad as I trusted it from ct to florida and back for the 2013 Daytona turkey run. All in all this car isn't a cheap beater and after that list I hope you know why the price reflects that as I intended on owning this car forever. mechanically the car is very solid but the a/c clutch will need replacing and I might have smelled the 5th heater core in this car starting to seep possibly, the body presents well and has no rust the undercarriage is perfect both owners have pressure washed it and fluid filmed it every few years. also while coming back from florida I got caught in a 3 hour traffic jamb and over heated the clutch disc, it doesn't slip but will chatter lightly on hill if you try to slip it. ask all and any questions

Up for auction is a 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo-coupe. This car is in exceptionally clean condition. 88K original miles. I bought it off the first owner 3 years ago. She kept every receipt for the whole life of the car , window sticker, dealer sales documentation. I have put a new Cylinder head into the car, replaced everything from the head gasket up, oil change , tune up etc, Transmission seals replaced. New muffler last year. Just put right rear caliper on and replaced rear brake pads this spring. It has a NYS Inspection until June of next year, and a clean clear NY Title in my name. Right now it has an acceleration issue, boost wont build more than 7.5. Possible turbo suspect. I have another core turbo I bought few years ago I will throw in with sale. The front and rear fenders were now integrated more into the body and the headlights were pushed all the way up and out over the front wheels. The 1941 grille was configured with three section sections that consists of a tall center section with two sections low on the fenders and vertical bars all around. This 1941 Ford 2-Door Sedan is powered by its rebuilt 350 CID V8 engine, backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Ford 9\" rear end with 5,000 miles on the rebuild. The 350 CID V8 was bored .030 over with a mild cam installed and is decked out with a polished aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, polished A/C compressor, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, and a set of headers. Not only does the engine look good, it sounds and performs even better.
