According to the previous owner it spent it’s 80’s in northern FL, and in 1993 it was purchased by its new owner in Largo FL. The program was a clever one for Ford and Shelby as it worked to promote the Shelby Mustang to potential buyers. As Ford puts it, “The idea was to put high-performance, special-edition Shelby Mustang coupes into the hands of racing enthusiast-minded rental customers.” This car was restored to make identical to a Hertz rent-a-racer, many hours and time as been invested in this car. It has the rear side windows, correct performance wheels, with hertz center caps, black paint with gold stripes ( they are painted not decals), Side GT350 stripes, front grill with mustang horse on the right side, bullit chrome side mirror, etc… The Mustang has an upgraded engine 302cid with a 4 speed manual transmission. Front disc brakes. Engine bay is well detailed with monte carlo bar, chrome strut bar, race fin aluminum valve covers, chrome oval air cleaner, etc Interior is very clean, contrast well to the exterior paint combination, upholstery has been fitted, and tastefully done, and overall condition looks super nice Has hurst shifter with white knob, cobra carpets, wood grain style instrument cluster, and glove box.
