And, from early indications, it looks like the company has managed to do just that with the 2015 Ford F-150.You won't know how radical the new F-150 is just by looking at it. In a nod to the conservative tastes of many pickup buyers, Ford kept the styling changes fairly subtle. The restyled grille and distinctively shaped headlights are the most obvious visual clues that you're looking at an all-new truck.Instead, the really big changes are largely hidden from view. Ford engineers have made extensive use of lightweight aluminum in everything from the hood and body panels to the pickup bed to help shave off as much as 700 pounds of weight in the process. Lest you think aluminum is synonymous with flimsy beer cans, Ford says that the military-grade alloys used on the F-150 come in a wide variety of different thicknesses, many of which can be tougher than steel at a fraction of the weight. Underpinning it all is a full ladder-reinforced frame that uses significantly more high-strength steel than the outgoing model.Advantages to shedding weight are multifold. For a given GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating), a lighter truck can handle more payload. The same relationship applies to GCWR (gross combined weight rating) and towing capacity. And a significantly lighter truck will accelerate more quickly and burn less fuel. Efficiency is so good with the truck's new 2.7-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that the two-wheel-drive F-150's combined fuel economy rating of 22 mpg just misses the combined 23 mpg delivered by the more expensive diesel six-cylinder powering the class-leading Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. Of course, Ford is looking to keep traditional truck bragging rights as well, and it says a properly equipped F-150 will be able to tow up to 12,200 pounds with the 2.7-liter's bigger counterpart, the 3.5-liter turbo V6.Ford has also packed the latest F-150 with even more advanced technology. There are video cameras galore, including a trailer hitch assist version that features a dynamic guide line to make lining up the hitch ball and trailer coupling a quick one-person job, as well as an available top-down 360-degree camera view system to help with navigating parking lots and job sites. Other highlights include a new 8-inch "productivity" screen in the gauge cluster and a host of new safety features, including lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.With the seemingly endless number of permutations, there's probably a 2015 F-150 model to suit every person who has ever even thought of buying a pickup. Just the same, there are other trucks you'd be well advised to check out. We're also very fond of the 2015 Ram 1500, which will impress you with its smooth ride, quiet interior and available diesel engine. You can't discount the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 either, considering its well-rounded nature. Both are great trucks, but we think the redesigned 2015 Ford F-150 has enough meaningful improvements to make it a very attractive choice for shoppers. Bottom line: If you're looking for a thoroughly modern full-size pickup in 2015, Ford has just made your decision that much harder.Body Styles, Trim Levels, and OptionsThe 2015 Ford F-150 is a full-size pickup offered in regular, extended (Supercab) and crew cab (Supercrew) body styles. There are three bed lengths: 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet and 8 feet. The new F-150 is also available in five trim levels, including XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.Standard equipment on the entry-level XL model starts with 17-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, cloth upholstery, a 40/20/40-split front bench seat, 60/40-split rear seats (extended and crew cabs), a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, manual mirrors and windows, manual locks and a four- or six-speaker sound system with a 4.2-inch display and four speakers (six speakers in crew cab models).The main option for the XL is Equipment Group 101A. That includes the XL Power Equipment Group that adds automatic headlights, daytime running lights, power mirrors and windows, power door and tailgate locks and keyless entry. Also part of the 101A package are cruise control, a 4.2-inch information display, Ford's Sync voice control and smartphone integration system, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity and USB and auxiliary audio input jacks for the sound system.There's also a long list of stand-alone options that include appearance packages, skid plates, running boards, tailgate and box side steps, a spray-in bedliner, an integrated trailer brake controller, a power-sliding rear window, a rearview camera, a CD player, satellite radio, rear parking sensors, different axle ratios and towing packages.The next step up is the XLT trim level, which adds the content of the 101 package plus 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, chrome exterior trim and extra interior storage. Option groups on the XLT include a 301A package that adds heated mirrors, driver-side and rearview auto-dimming mirrors, a rear window defroster, a Class IV trailer hitch, an eight-way power driver seat (with power lumbar), a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable pedals, rear under-seat storage, a rearview camera and a seven-speaker sound system with satellite radio. A Luxury Option Group 302A adds to that with remote engine start, a power-sliding rear window, LED bed lighting, rear parking sensors, heated 10-way power-adjustable front seats, 110-volt household-style power outlets and the MyFord Touch interface that includes an 8-inch central touchscreen display.Noteworthy stand-alone options on the XLT (besides the XL options listed above) include 20-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated mirrors, mirror-mounted LED spotlights, trailer towing mirrors, the FX4 Off-Road package, a fuel-economy boosting SFE package, a sunroof, front bucket seats with a center console, inflatable rear seatbelts, a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, Crew Chief fleet-based telematics and a navigation system.The upscale Lariat is similar to the XLT with the 302A package but also includes dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch gauge cluster information display, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, driver seat memory settings and keyless ignition and entry. Many of the XLT's stand-alone options are also available for the Lariat. The Lariat's 502A package goes all out with LED headlights and taillights, automatic high beam headlight control, second-row heated seats (crew cabs only), a heated and power-adjustable steering wheel and a 10-speaker Sony audio system.On the Lariat you can also get the Technology package (lane-keeping assist and a 360-degree top-down camera display with dynamic hitch assist), power-retractable running boards, adaptive cruise control with frontal collision warning, and automatic parallel parking assist.The top-of-the line King Ranch and Platinum models share most of the above features along with higher-grade interior materials. Choosing between the two comes down to a preference for western flair or more sophisticated uptown styling.Powertrains and PerformanceThe 2015 Ford F-150's base engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that generates 283 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. The next step up is the new turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that produces a healthy 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. Those needing more muscle for heavier payloads or towing can opt for the 5.0-liter V8 engine that's rated at 385 hp and 387 lb-ft or a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that pumps out an impressive 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque.Dropping so much weight with its new aluminum body was supposed to help vault the new-generation 2015 F-150 to the top of the heap in terms of fuel economy. It has, although in some F-150 configurations, the efficiency boost is comparatively modest.With so many trim levels and engines to choose from, there are several EPA estimates for the 2015 Ford F-150. Starting with the standard 3.5-liter V6, two-wheel-drive versions of the 2015 F-150 are EPA rated at a combined 20 mpg (18 city/25 highway); the same engine with four-wheel drive drops to a combined 19 mpg. These are basically the same ratings that you get from Chevy and Ram. Move up to the optional (but smaller) 2.7-liter turbocharged EcoBoost V6, and 2WD models yield a combined 22 mpg (19/26), while 4WD-equipped models with the same engine have a combined 20 mpg rating.During Edmunds testing, a 4WD SuperCab F-150 with the 2.7-liter engine went from zero to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds, while a 4WD SuperCrew with the same engine did the sprint to 60 in just 6.4 seconds. Both distances are a few feet shorter than average for a full-size pickup.Interior Design and Special FeaturesThere's an unmistakable trend at work in the pickup world: turning these traditional workhorses into something more akin to gussied-up show ponies. Of course, work truck buyers can still get bare-bones XL models fitted out with vinyl floor coverings, roll-up windows and a simple AM/FM stereo. But the farther you go up through the trim levels, the nicer the furnishings and the more desirable the amenities become. This new F-150's interior has a classy look and feel, and materials used in those top trim levels are on par with a lot of upscale sedans. Everything in the interior is ergonomically designed in such a way that there's a padded armrest exactly where you'd want it, and frequently used controls are located right where your hand would instinctively reach for it.On the gauges front, the available 8-inch productivity display screen can be customized to show an array of other user-selected variables from off-roading info to tire pressures. Ford has also added a refreshingly intuitive center stack control layout with physical volume and tuning knobs and radio station presets logically arranged above similarly old-school knobs and buttons for the climate control system. It can make it seem like there are an awful lot of buttons, but this redundancy should alleviate any concerns you might have about operating the otherwise useful MyFord Touch touchscreen interface that's available on the upper trim levels.Front seats offer a commanding view and good comfort, especially the 10-way power-adjustable models with built-in heating and ventilation found in top trim levels. Rear seat passengers in crew cab models don't get much extra head- or legroom in the redesign, but the fact that the cab is 2 inches wider this year does mean everyone has a little more room to spread out.There's a fair amount of storage available, whether you choose the standard 40/20/40-split front seat with cubbies built into the folded-down center section, or front bucket seats separated by a sizable center console. Rear seats in both extended and crew cab models flip up to reveal hidden storage for valuable tools or toys.Driving ImpressionsOne of the first things you notice when driving the 2015 Ford F-150 is that it really does feel lighter, more agile and less-trucklike, you might say, than its predecessor. With the turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 under the hood, there's plenty of acceleration on tap and the brakes feels strong and solid. But if you want to upgrade, the V8 and bigger turbocharged V6 feel quite potent in this lighter F-150.The ride quality is relatively firm, which could be related to the new F-150's lightweight body and the higher payload it enables; the difference between empty and fully loaded has widened, so the rear suspension calibration necessary to shoulder the load can make an empty F-150 feel a bit bound up. Still, the F-150 is solid and predictable when driving around turns and it's quiet on long highway drives as well. When you're looking for a truck that will get the job done and still be able to go through a drive-thru, you look no further than the legendary Ford F250 Super Duty. This particular '08 Super Duty is loaded up with all the features and options you want including power windows/locks/mirrors, tilt/cruise, ICE COLD air conditioning, and more! It also has a real 4wd system with 3.73 limited slip differentials! This one needs NOTHING. The 6.4 Powerstroke diesel runs PERFECT as well it should with only 159k miles plus it has NO BLOWBY. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues! Best of all, it's already had the DPF deleted & been tuned. What does this do for you? The 6.4 cleans it's DPF (soot filter) by dumping extra fuel into the engine to burn out the filter. This isn't good for the engine plus it kills the fuel economy. This truck has had that problem removed plus it has an H&S tune that disables it in the computer as well as pumping up the already-strong 350hp to 600!!! The tuner is NOT included but before delivery we will set the power level to YOUR choice at no extra charge since we did the DPF delete ourselves. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues and without the engine dumping all that extra fuel down the exhaust you can easily pull 20-22mpg if you can manage to keep your foot off the throttle! If you went to have this done tomorrow you would easily spend several thousand dollars! The previous owner spent a ton of money tricking out this truck to give it the looks and capability it needs with such features as 20" XD wheels and 35" Toyo tires, fender flares, leveling kit, and more! It is equipped with Tow Command and Upfitter switches as well as an AM/FM Stereo system that includes a CD player that will also play MP3s and has an ipod jack. It's a Southern truck that has ABSOLUTELY NO RUST WHATSOEVER. The 20" alloy wheel are wrapped in a matching set of BIG 35" tires plus it has a quality leveling kit installed so there's no tire rub & so it will have the proper stance. There's a man step to make getting into the bed a snap plus a turnover ball which you may not need but it adds a lot of value since they're a high dollar feature. Both front seats have no rips or tears either. The mats are in perfect shape with no holes or signs of wear. It even has a fresh oil change. The original owner of this truck spared no expense to keep it in perfect operating condition! Best of all, it's powered by the 6.4 POWERSTROKE DIESEL and not the 6.0 that everyone is scared of. These are the best Powerstroke engines out there and can be tuned for a reliable 650 horsepower and 22+ mpg if you so desire. With only 141k miles, it's barely broken-in! We've had similar trucks with over 600k on the original engine. It starts right up hot or cold and runs great the whole time. Doesn't use any coolant or smoke either. The seats are in great shape with no rips or tears. It's clearly spent most of its time on the highway. Please note we drive this truck often use it on trips so the mileage may accumulate before the end of the listing. We wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive it ANYWHERE. Our mechanic has gone over everything to make sure it works properly. It has also had the radiator TSB performed so no worries there either. These trucks (traditionally known as the "half-ton") will easily handle hauling goods from the home improvement store, moving a kid to college and hitching up recreational stuff like motorcycles. For these folks' purposes, employing a heavy-duty pickup would be akin to using a hammer to set thumbtacks into the kitchen's corkboard. But equestrians, owners of big boats and those who pull trailers larger than their time-share condos do need a hammer -- a big one. And for them, the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty makes perfect sense. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options The 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup comes in regular cab, SuperCab (extended cab) and crew cab body styles. This particular '08 Super Duty is the Lariat model which means it is loaded up with all the features and options you want including power leather seats, keyless entry, driver information center, sliding rear window, and more! It also has a real 4wd system with 3.73 limited slip differentials! This one needs NOTHING. The 6.4 Powerstroke diesel runs PERFECT as well it should with only 159k miles plus it has NO BLOWBY. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues! Best of all, it's already had the DPF deleted & been tuned. What does this do for you? The 6.4 cleans it's DPF (soot filter) by dumping extra fuel into the engine to burn out the filter. This isn't good for the engine plus it kills the fuel economy. This truck has had that problem removed plus it has an H&S tune that disables it in the computer as well as pumping up the already-strong 350hp to 600!!! The tuner is NOT included but before delivery we will set the power level to YOUR choice at no extra charge since we did the DPF delete ourselves. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues and without the engine dumping all that extra fuel down the exhaust you can easily pull 20-22mpg if you can manage to keep your foot off the throttle! If you went to have this done tomorrow you would easily spend several thousand dollars! It's loaded with all the power goodies too including alloy wheels with a matching set of tires, keyless entry and keypad, & power adjustable pedals among many other items. There is dual zone automatic climate control plus the AM/FM Stereo system has a 6-disc CD player that will also play MP3s and has an ipod jack. It's a Southern truck that has ABSOLUTELY NO RUST WHATSOEVER. The 20" alloy wheel are wrapped in a matching set of BIG 35" tires plus it has a quality leveling kit installed so there's no tire rub & so it will have the proper stance. This truck originally cost nearly $60,000!!! Both front leather seats have no rips or tears either. The carpet is plush and not threadbare. SuperCabs and crew cabs are available with a short (6.75-foot) or long (8-foot) bed; regular cabs are long bed only. Four trim levels are offered: base XL, midlevel XLT, off-road-oriented FX4 (4WD only) and luxurious Lariat. Regular cabs are available only in XL and XLT forms. The XL is meant for those who just need a basic work truck. It comes standard with air-conditioning, plain vinyl upholstery, an AM/FM radio, 17-inch wheels and manual trailer-tow mirrors. The XLT adds chrome wheels, keyless entry, power and heated trailer tow mirrors, an integrated trailer brake controller, privacy glass, cloth upholstery, an auxiliary audio jack, a 40/20/40 front bench, a CD player, cruise control and full power accessories. The FX4 provides upgraded off-road hardware including skid plates, heavy-duty shock absorbers, a limited-slip rear axle and a manual-shift transfer case. It also adds front bucket seats, a power driver seat, power telescoping and folding mirrors and satellite radio. High-line Lariats come with luxuries like 18-inch alloy wheels, running boards, a power-sliding rear window, leather upholstery, dual power and heated front seats (power driver seat only on regular cab), the Sync multimedia voice-control system and dual-zone automatic climate control. Much of the Lariat's extra equipment can be added to the FX4 via optional packages. Option highlights (depending on trim level) include reverse park assist, a rearview-mirror-mounted back-up camera display, a sunroof, a navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system. In addition, there are several packages to further fine-tune the F-250 Super Duty to one's needs. The XLT sport package includes color-matched bumpers and grille, foglamps, chrome step bars and privacy glass. The new Cabela's package is inspired by the largest outfitter for outdoor enthusiasts and features unique two-tone color and interior trim schemes. The King Ranch package similarly provides two-tone paint but goes further uptown with 20-inch alloy wheels, fancy leather seating and trim inspired by a western saddle, and a premium audio system. There's also the Harley-Davidson package with a similar level of interior and exterior upgrades. Highly recommended for those who tow is the TowCommand option, which seamlessly integrates the control of the trailer brakes with those on the truck. Optional on all F-250 Super Duty trims is a clever flip-down tailgate step that hides within the tailgate when stowed. Powertrains and Performance There are three engine choices for the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty: the standard 5.4-liter gasoline V8 (300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque); an optional 6.8-liter V10 (362 hp); and the most popular choice, the available 6.4-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel V8, which makes 350 hp. This particular '08 Super Duty is the Lariat model which means it is loaded up with all the features and options you want including power leather seats, keyless entry, driver information center, sliding rear window, and more! It also has a real 4wd system with 3.73 limited slip differentials! This one needs NOTHING. The 6.4 Powerstroke diesel runs PERFECT as well it should with only 159k miles plus it has NO BLOWBY. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues! Best of all, it's already had the DPF deleted & been tuned. What does this do for you? The 6.4 cleans it's DPF (soot filter) by dumping extra fuel into the engine to burn out the filter. This isn't good for the engine plus it kills the fuel economy. This truck has had that problem removed plus it has an H&S tune that disables it in the computer as well as pumping up the already-strong 350hp to 600!!! The tuner is NOT included but before delivery we will set the power level to YOUR choice at no extra charge since we did the DPF delete ourselves. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues and without the engine dumping all that extra fuel down the exhaust you can easily pull 20-22mpg if you can manage to keep your foot off the throttle! If you went to have this done tomorrow you would easily spend several thousand dollars! It's loaded with all the power goodies too including alloy wheels with a matching set of tires, keyless entry and keypad, & power adjustable pedals among many other items. There is dual zone automatic climate control plus the AM/FM Stereo system has a 6-disc CD player that will also play MP3s and has an ipod jack. It's a Southern truck that has ABSOLUTELY NO RUST WHATSOEVER. The 20" alloy wheel are wrapped in a matching set of BIG 35" tires plus it has a quality leveling kit installed so there's no tire rub & so it will have the proper stance. This truck originally cost nearly $60,000!!! Both front leather seats have no rips or tears either. The carpet is plush and not threadbare. But equestrians, owners of big boats and those who pull trailers larger than their time-share condos do need a hammer -- a big one. And for them, the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty makes perfect sense. The available PowerStroke turbodiesel engine makes serious pulling power -- we're talking 650 pound-feet of torque -- which allows the F-250 Super Duty to tow up to 12,500 pounds when properly equipped. With its impressive work capacity, well-rounded ride and handling qualities and large array of convenience and luxury features, the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty is bound to offer big-truck consumers the right tool for the most demanding jobs. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options The 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup comes in regular cab, SuperCab (extended cab) and crew cab body styles. Yes, this is a 6.0 diesel but don't worry it has already had the EGR deleted as well as a new FORD oil cooler (not a cheap Chinese knockoff) installed so you can rest assured that the 6.0 problem area has been put to rest. We have also installed H&S tunes for better power & fuel economy. The engine is already putting out a plenty powerful 325 horses but with this tune we have added a reliable 40 extra horsepower that doesn't stress the motor & also helps fuel economy. There are no other 6.0 issues either it starts right up hot or cold and runs perfect. With only 253k miles, this truck has NO BLOWBY and is barely broken-in! Just look at the seats & the rest of the interior. There are no smells or odors to be detected. The carpet isn't stained either. The 06/07 diesels have all the upgraded parts that earlier ones don't get like a revised high pressure oil pump, stand pipes, etc. It's ready to go right to work with no problems. This hard working heavyweight can be found on just about every job site in America. But the hardest work a truck like this does is keeping up with the competition. It’s a tough task in a tough market segment. So let’s see if the 2006 Super Duty is still up to the job. Now the folks at Ford know a thing or two about building tough trucks. And they know it takes a lot of effort to keep ahead of the pack. So they set about making the 2005 F-Series Super Duty the strongest full-size pickup in the world. That requires a lot of new parts, over a thousand in fact. So, while the new Super Duty may not qualify as all-new, it comes mighty close. They started by building the Super Duty on a new frame with thicker steel, and full boxed front sections. Four-wheel-drive models ditch the front leaf springs for a new independent single-beam coil-spring suspension design, while all rear suspensions get new springs and staggered shock geometry, plus a gross axle weight rating of 9,000 pounds. That’s a 750 pound improvement. The new steering geometry and valving for 4x4s yields an improved feel. Down on the deck, 17-inch wheels are standard on our F-250, with 18-inchers optional. Want bigger wheels? Well, the new edition Harley Davidson Super Duty gets big 20-inch alloys to complement all those Harley logos and the available custom flame paint job. Back again is the super luxurious King Ranch model for those that want to tow in the lap of luxury. Motivating the 2006 Super Duty is Ford’s proven 5.4-liter single-cam Triton V8. This year it makes 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. That’s a boost of 40-horsepower and 15 pound-feet thanks to 3-valve head technology borrowed from the F-150. Tack on two more cylinders, and about 1.4 liters, and you get the optional 30-valve 6.8-liter Triton V10. It makes a class-leading 355 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 45 horses and 30 pound-feet. But if there’s serious towing to be done, then our test truck’s 6.0-liter turbocharged Power Stroke diesel V8 is certainly the way to go. This pushrod powerhouse makes 325 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque at only 2,000 rpm. It’s the most popular engine in the Super Duty lineup. The Super Duty’s 5-speed TorqShift automatic with an improved tow-haul mode is now available on all engines. Tow-Haul is part of a new Tow Command Package that includes telescoping mirrors, bigger brakes, and the first factory-installed, integrated trailer-brake controller. Its logic works with the Super Duty’s standard anti-lock brakes for better stability in emergency braking. That’s a lot of brains and brawn, all reflected in the Super Duty’s new styling drawn directly from the 2002 Mighty Tonka concept truck. It’s as tough and bold looking as a pickup truck can get. The quarter mile hauls by in 17.7 seconds at 82 miles-per-hour. Like all diesels, the Super Duty is strong off the line. But the power seems to get a second wind at about 3,000 rpm as the turbo reaches full boost. And boy can this baby haul! With best in class towing abilities, our 4-wheel-drive F-250 has a conventional rating of 12,500 pounds, and 17,000 pounds with a fifth wheel. Handling-wise, the Super Duty feels like a 3-ton truck. There is lots of front plow entering corners, but the new suspension and revised geometry makes the steering more precise while reducing the turning diameter. It still could us a bit more feel, though. Body roll is moderate, thanks to the stiff, heavy duty springs. With 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, stops from 60 averaged 152 feet. A long stop, but it’s a lot of truck, one that’s quite stable under braking, with good pedal feel. In daily driving, the feel is firm. The Super Duty has a stiff, work truck ride, but very good noise and vibration control. And if you opt for our test truck’s Lariat trim package, enough comfort and convenience features to keep your hard working crew happy. The huge cabin has also been redone. The dash is less work truck than before. Our Lariat had extra-wide captain’s chairs with standard leather upholstery. The Crew Cab’s rear seat is a plus-size folding bench with a flip-out steel cargo floor, a handy feature for work or family. Just look at the seats & the rest of the interior. There are no smells or odors to be detected. The carpet isn't stained either. This hard working heavyweight can be found on just about every job site in America. But the hardest work a truck like this does is keeping up with the competition. It’s a tough task in a tough market segment. So let’s see if the 2006 Super Duty is still up to the job. Now the folks at Ford know a thing or two about building tough trucks. And they know it takes a lot of effort to keep ahead of the pack. So they set about making the 2005 F-Series Super Duty the strongest full-size pickup in the world. That requires a lot of new parts, over a thousand in fact. So, while the new Super Duty may not qualify as all-new, it comes mighty close. They started by building the Super Duty on a new frame with thicker steel, and full boxed front sections. Four-wheel-drive models ditch the front leaf springs for a new independent single-beam coil-spring suspension design, while all rear suspensions get new springs and staggered shock geometry, plus a gross axle weight rating of 9,000 pounds. That’s a 750 pound improvement. The new steering geometry and valving for 4x4s yields an improved feel. Down on the deck, 17-inch wheels are standard on our F-250, with 18-inchers optional. Want bigger wheels? Well, the new edition Harley Davidson Super Duty gets big 20-inch alloys to complement all those Harley logos and the available custom flame paint job. Back again is the super luxurious King Ranch model for those that want to tow in the lap of luxury. Motivating the 2006 Super Duty is Ford’s proven 5.4-liter single-cam Triton V8. This year it makes 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. That’s a boost of 40-horsepower and 15 pound-feet thanks to 3-valve head technology borrowed from the F-150. Tack on two more cylinders, and about 1.4 liters, and you get the optional 30-valve 6.8-liter Triton V10. It makes a class-leading 355 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 45 horses and 30 pound-feet. But if there’s serious towing to be done, then our test truck’s 6.0-liter turbocharged Power Stroke diesel V8 is certainly the way to go. This pushrod powerhouse makes 325 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque at only 2,000 rpm. It’s the most popular engine in the Super Duty lineup. The Super Duty’s 5-speed TorqShift automatic with an improved tow-haul mode is now available on all engines. Tow-Haul is part of a new Tow Command Package that includes telescoping mirrors, bigger brakes, and the first factory-installed, integrated trailer-brake controller. Its logic works with the Super Duty’s standard anti-lock brakes for better stability in emergency braking. That’s a lot of brains and brawn, all reflected in the Super Duty’s new styling drawn directly from the 2002 Mighty Tonka concept truck. It’s as tough and bold looking as a pickup truck can get. And when decked out with lots of chrome, says ‘‘Here comes a full-size Ford truck!’’ in a loud, clear voice. Wheelbase ranges from 137-inches to 172.4-inches. Regular, Super Cab and Crew Cab bodies are available, with either a 6-foot-10-inch or 8-foot bed. With its big diesel running strong, our test Super Duty hits 60 miles-per-hour in 10.1 seconds. The quarter mile hauls by in 17.7 seconds at 82 miles-per-hour. Like all diesels, the Super Duty is strong off the line. But the power seems to get a second wind at about 3,000 rpm as the turbo reaches full boost. And boy can this baby haul! With best in class towing abilities, our 4-wheel-drive F-250 has a conventional rating of 12,500 pounds, and 17,000 pounds with a fifth wheel. Handling-wise, the Super Duty feels like a 3-ton truck. There is lots of front plow entering corners, but the new suspension and revised geometry makes the steering more precise while reducing the turning diameter. It still could us a bit more feel, though. Body roll is moderate, thanks to the stiff, heavy duty springs. With 4-wheel ABS disc brakes, stops from 60 averaged 152 feet. A long stop, but it’s a lot of truck, one that’s quite stable under braking, with good pedal feel. In daily driving, the feel is firm. The Super Duty has a stiff, work truck ride, but very good noise and vibration control. And if you opt for our test truck’s Lariat trim package, enough comfort and convenience features to keep your hard working crew happy. The huge cabin has also been redone. The dash is less work truck than before. Our Lariat had extra-wide captain’s chairs with standard leather upholstery. The Crew Cab’s rear seat is a plus-size folding bench with a flip-out steel cargo floor, a handy feature for work or family. But your family will need a lot of groceries to meet our short-box model’s 2,700 pound cargo capacity. But you won’t need as many dollars as you might think for an F-250 Super Duty. How long will it take to get my title: Typically, titles take about 10 to 15 business days to be mailed after the vehicle has been released. Our title department processes titles weekly. Gate releases may take 5 to 10 business days to acquire prior to picking up any vehicle from the holding facility. Can an Insurance Company decide to take back the vehicle after it has been paid for? Yes, this may happen in rare occasions. If for any reason the auction or sale is cancelled, your purchase amount will be refunded immediately. At the same time our inventory is endless where there is always a replacement vehicle to meet your specific needs. 2. If I receive a vehicle and am unhappy with it, will you assist in reselling? Yes, we will be more than willing to assist in finding a holding facility near your location to resell on the market. We have a global audience bidding on these vehicles. Our team will help you find a replacement as well, if needed. Where do you get your vehicles? Our vehicles are acquired through our insurance company and auction contracts. We also have data agreements with some of the largest publicly traded Insurance Company Holding Facilities and Auctions. Lastly, we purchase and re-market vehicles that were acquired through our cash for cars program as well. 4. Does the vehicle have a clean title? Our vehicles that state "clean title" do in fact possess a clean title status. All others do possess "Salvage" status if noted. Please note, each State has different laws. We strongly encourage buyers to check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles. Most vehicles we market have branded or salvage titles due to accidents, floods, manufacturer buybacks, theft, etc. 5. What form of payments do you accept? We accept PayPal or any major credit card for deposit ONLY. The balance must be paid with cashier’s check, bank check or wire transfer within two business days of winning the vehicle. 1.
