Sophistication, luxury, and refinement. . . if these are the words you're thinking of for your next car, this Cobra is not for you. Move along. Raw, powerful, and American muscle. . . now, you're looking at the right car. I won't go into details about the factory specification; if you are looking at a 2003 / 2004 Cobra, you already know and you're just looking for the right one. Well, mine's pretty perfect in my opinion. Never thought that I would own a convertible. But after one test drive with the top down and hearing the supercharger whine, it sealed the deal. It is extra clean and a non-smoker vehicle. Runs strong, shifts and rides smoothly. The car is unmolested. No pulley/tune, no ported blower, etc. It's not a turn-back-to-stock. I had a Bassani catback exhaust for 10 days. I hated the drone at highway speeds, so it was taken off and sold quickly. I bought this Cobra back in 2011 with full intention of modifying it and "making it my own." I wanted start with the usual pulley/tune and go from there to IRS upgrade, supercharger or turbocharger kit upgrade, full-length subframe connectors, etc. I wanted to start with a clean slate, so I only looked at stock powertrain cars only with extremely low miles. My priorities changed over the years and I didn't get to do any of these things. I was spending money on home improvements and vacations, rather than modifying the car. I am getting old, perhaps. As the time went on, I almost felt bad to do all those things to such a mint car. It is one of the reasons why I am considering selling it. I am looking for the right buyer who will appreciate the condition, mileage, etc. So, if you're looking for a higher-mileage, modified Cobra "on the cheap", this isn't the right car for you. I wouldn't hesitate to drive to California (or Alaska!) and back. I have a 3-ring binder with all of the records/receipts that I would be glad to show and pass it on to the next owner. I also have a copy of a clean Autocheck report showing no accidents and continuously low miles. Some of the recent things I'd like to mention from the binder are: -Mobil 1 synthetic oil change every 3000 miles or 12 months with PureOne "Gold" filter -Falken FK453 high performance tires -Battery (OEM unit lasted 10+ years!) -Fuel filter (people always forget this) -Drivetrain upgrades including; Ford Racing TOB, Ford Racing Flywheel, billet forged TOB sleeve, ACT clutch kit, transmission fluid, UPR firewall adjust/quadrant. You don't have to worry about the infamous T56 throw-out bearing squeal with Cobras. I got it all upgraded/replaced at 19k miles because I couldn't handle the noise! I will also include several oil filters, miscellaneous billet aluminum trim pieces, and other vehicle items in a box with the sale. As you can see from the mileage and condition, it is not a daily driver. It has been garaged daily and when it was parked outside, it always had a windshield reflector cover to protect the dash (insert Ford plastic jokes here). Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. I will allow test drive for a serious buyer, at my discretion. It has been fully detailed (clay bar and all) professionally recently. Please keep in mind that you may not be able to finance this vehicle due to its model year. Check with your bank first and have it all figured out so you don't waste your or my time. Already had two "buyers" that couldn't seal the deal because of their loan. Clean NC title on hand for easy transaction. ** NO TRADES** I don't want your F250 or a foxbody. :) No stupid offers over the phone please. Selling my 1999 Mustang SVT Cobra. Medical problems in my family have forced unexpected travel expenses. This car is overall in very good condition. This car does not look or drive like a car with 163k miles. There are a few very minor cosmetic issues I will describe below. It has been well maintained for its age. This is a 5spd manual car. Motor is a all aluminum 4v 4.6L that is bone stock. This would be a great platform to modify however you would like. This is one of 608 manufactured in this color scheme.The car runs, drives and shifts well. Front brakes are 4 months old. Timing chain was replaced at 115k according to the previous owner. Please note: The top does not leak but is showing signs of its age - Fading and the seams are tearing at the top corners of the rear window Radio - Turns on but no sound - Could have disconnected. These are a dime a dozen at any parts yard and super simple to install. Driver door cup - loose and faded Front Right Wheel - slightly curbed on edge Window cowl - Has a crack in it. The head lights , tail lights and third brake light all in perfect condition with no fading or scratches on the lens . The top is in perfect shape with no rips , burns or fading . The only cosmetic flaw on this care is 3 tiny dents on drivers fender (shown in picture) . I was undecided wether to call a PDR guy or not , so I'm leaving that up to the new owner.As far as the interior it matches the exterior , the seats have no wear what so ever they look brand new as they should . Up for sale is what could be arguably the most rare 03 cobra with one hell of a background. In the words of Dr. Jamie Meyer.After driving a prototype of the ’03 Cobra/Terminator at the 2002 World Ford Challenge, this car was special ordered by me in July of 2003. My Cobra was ordered in Oxford White, which turned out to be the most rare of all colors available on the 2003 Cobra. The car arrived in August of 2003, and it was not dealer prepped. I met that transport truck at the dealer, did the paperwork, and took immediate delivery of the car. No Ford dealership employee has ever touched this Cobra! I even had to drive it from the dealership to the gas station before I could get it home (these cars shipped with enough gas to get them off the truck – that’s it). I prepped the car at home and immediately got down to work. I did a series of stories for 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords magazine featuring this Cobra to educate people on the incredible untapped potential that the Terminator has. These cars have always fascinated me, and I still believe that the ‘03/04 Terminator is the best Mustang ever built. This Cobra has been a huge inspiration for me. It generated a number of magazine tech features starring this car; it helped start the first ever Cobra Shootout (NMRA Bowling Green, KY event: Sept. 2003); and it was the feature car of the well-known Cobra test/review article in the NMRA Race Pages magazine. That Race Pages article was so well received that Ford SVT even wrote me a letter of thanks, praising my enthusiasm for the car. Again, this car was the center of all of this attention. “Pony Prep” package from Ford In addition to the rarity, low miles, international exposure, and flawless condition of this car, the thing that makes it truly special is the “Pony Prep” package that it received while being assembled. The Pony Prep is an off the menu “option” that I was able to request because of my connections at Ford. This is the same assembly line preparation that an internal Ford show car would receive. Additional paint is applied in the door jams and seams, clear coat is extended into areas that a regular production car would not get, and the panels are perfectly aligned. The plant manager walks the line with the car ensuring that each line worker does a perfect job of assembling the car, and at the end of the process, the plant manager has to personally sign off on the condition of the car. I can honestly say that I’ve never seen a Cobra that “fits” the way my car does. Ask anyone who has seen this car, and they will tell you that it just looks better because of the additional care and concern that the plant put into constructing this vehicle. This Cobra, and the articles that it generated, certainly helped solidify the Terminator’s place in history. I was very concerned about the extreme amount of torque that the supercharged 4.6 liter Ford Modular engine puts out, and I didn’t want the frame to twist or the panels to not line up.
