Fresh out of a long term private CA collection, this E-Type Coupe is wearing an older restoration that has just recently had a refresh and looks absolutely gorgeous. The paint has a deep luster and has just been wet sanded, polished and buffed with shows almost no imperfections (small chip on the outer driver door edge, small rock chip next to the driver chrome headlight bezel, small stone chip on upper opening of the passenger side mouth and a small hairline scrape against the passenger side bonnet lip). Otherwise the paint job looks like it has been professionally stripped down to bare metal and repainted its original color. The body and paint work are beautiful were done to an extremely high standard. The trim and bright work looks beautiful and show incredibly well. All of the rubber seals and body gasket are new and from Jaguar. The wire wheels have been re-finished and are wrapped in brand new period white walls. The interior has been re-trimmed with correct matching Jaguar leather and looks beautiful. The center dash gauge surround looks to be original and the dash top has been re-trimmed. All of the carpets, headliner and trim have all been re-trimmed with correct Jaguar material. The engine has been rebuilt along with all of the suspension components, all of the electrical has been rebuilt/sorted, all of the steering components are new, many of the hoses, belts and seals are all new, the alternator has been rebuilt, the gas tank has been removed and cleaned, the radiator has been removed and re-cored, new cooling fans have been installed the clutch is newer, and the carbs have been rebuilt. The engine is a matching number’s engine and starts right up, idles beautifully and accelerates strongly. The engine does not smoke under start up or acceleration. A compression test has been performed and all 6 cylinders passed with flying colors. The gearbox is nice and tight and shifts into each gear smoothly. All of the electrical components are operating as designed including all of the exterior lights, turn signals (turn signal stalk is a little loose and sometimes has to be held to operate) reverse light, brake lights, headlights and side marker lights. All of the interior lights are operating including all of the dash lights, the fuel light, the headlight indicator and all of the gauges appear to be reading correctly. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on the car and the undercarriage is beautifully detailed and clean. No rust anywhere on the rockers or undercarriage or in the body. There are no signs of any prior accident damage or repair and the body and undercarriage are straight and clean all the way through. The original spare still wears its original tire, the original jack and original tool roll accompany the car along with an original owners handbook. All taxes and license fees will need to be paid by the buyer when the vehicle is registered in their home state. All state taxes and motor vehicle-related fees are administered by each state individually, are not included in the price of the vehicle, and are non-negotiable. - Most vehicle titles are not held on the premises and it may take up to 30 days to receive one. - Due to the fact that we often have multiple prospective buyers for the same vehicle, we will not "hold" a vehicle without a signed non-refundable deposit, a signed purchase order, and a signed General Information and Terms of Sale form. Finished in its correct colors of British Racing Green over Biscuit this E-Type has been properly maintained and cared for its entire life. The paint work shows very well and has seen one repaint in its life. There is some minor checking on the cowl right underneath the windshield and some small stone chips on the front nose. The paint still retains a beautiful shine and deep luster with very few imperfections found in the actual paint. All of the bright work and trim are in excellent condition showing very light age but free from any damage or heavy pitting. Even the wire wheels show very nicely and are free from any damage or pitting. The interior is in outstanding condition showing very little wear on the seats or on the carpets. The dash is beautiful and the center console is damage free and all of the switchgear is in excellent condition. The convertible top is very nice with only a one inch hairline tear on the passenger side and finished in the correct material. The convertible boot is present with the car and fits well on the top and is free from any damage or wear. The 6 cylinder engine is a matching numbers engine and runs beautifully. All of the carbs have been rebuilt and all of the plugs and wires were just recently done along with all of the fluids. The engine starts right up and idles beautifully. The engine revs smoothly and shifts through all of the gears smoothly without any issues. The transmission is free from any issues or noises and shifts into all of the gears with ease. The clutch feels strong and does not slip and the gears do not grind. The brakes feel excellent and have just had a recent master cylinder put in. The steering is nice and tight and free from any play or vibrations. The tires have excellent tread on them and show no signs of cracking or age. The car ride smoothly and free from any shakes or vibrations. All of the electronics are working in the car including all of the dash lights, interior lights, headlights, side marker lights, brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights. There is no rust of any kind found on or under the car. The undercarriage is very nice and clean and does not show any signs of accident or damage history. The car comes with some service history from the previous owner and the original operating maintenance book. The original spare tire is found in the trunk and the original keys are present with the car. When these units are purchased from the dealer-only auctions as trade-ins or lease turn-ins they may not have some ‘accessories’ which you may feel should be included. Such items include things like books & manuals, extra keys, remotes, headphones (for entertainment packages), tools, cargo nets, floor mats, CD cartridges, wheel lock keys, etc. Items as these (or others you may think of) are not automatically included or provided by us.
