Up for sale is a 1984 Jaguar XJ6 with a parts car. Overall car is in really good condition. I bought car from guy who had done all the welding of the usual rust spots on these cars. Bodywork will need finished over some of it. Car was originally charcoal but is being converted to black. Car obviously was taken apart for this reason. Several major pieces of the car have been painted with black already. I like the black color so was planning on leaving it that way. Here is run down on car: - all seats have been redone. Is is simulated leather and just dirty in pics from garage dust -gas tanks have been cleaned and treated for rust. not installed yet. - motor turns over easily (battery not included) -have not inspected brakes but they work when moving car around driveway -Uline box in pic is full of all new rubber seals for car -passenger doors have been etched in and hung (need adjusted) -door panel vinyl covering is good but backer is not. Was going to use 1/4" board to make new ones -back glass original and just set in place for pic. -windshield is brand new -no headliner but have headliner base -carpet decent -tires will need replaced -dash cover and back window valance in great condition Parts car is a 1984 and is just that - a parts car. Several body panels were used on the other car. Ignition hacked up so I cant try to start car to check engine on this one. It is great reference car to put other one back together. I bought to be my daily driver. I had tried selling some of my other project cars and they didn't sell so this has to go. Car is in great condition for someone to finish and have a nice ride. And NO - I will not sell any parts. This is a package deal.

The paint is in pretty good shape but could use a quick buffing to made it really pop. The paint on the sunroof panel is  faded a little. There are no major scratches, dents or dings in the paint/body. The body panel fit is good. The chrome and trim pieces are all very nice without any  pitting, scratches or dulling.   This beige leather interior is in good condition with only some minimal wear. (No marks, rips, or holes.) The door panels, headliner, and carpet are also very nice.  The wood trim pieces look to be in great condition with a very nice finish. The interior chrome hardware is also very good. As far as we can tell, everything is in  working order. (Lights, gauges, radio, horn, wipers, etc..) The factory fitted steel sunroof also works fine.  Under the hood sits the original 4.0L straight-6 engine. The engine runs great with  no know problems. It does not smoke, tick, or hesitate. The transmission shift out well with no problems. The engine compartment look very stock and could use a quick  wipe down cleaning.  The power steering and power brakes are both working as should.  The factory Jaguar wheels are in nice shape. they have the correct Jaguar center cap installed. Mounted on these wheels are four newer Kelly P205/70R15 tires. These  tires are in near new condition with very little miles on them. The vehicle rides and drives beautifully without any noise or rattles. It does not pull, shake, or  shimmy. The trunk compartment is clean and has that original factory look. Along with the spare tire, it also has the original jack and jacking tools.  The underside of the vehicle looks like it was originally undercoated. Jaguar XJ6Series II1974 4.2 straight six sedan in spectacular condition & presentation This a really pretty XJ6 Jaguar sedan out-fitted in Sable (which I affectionately like to call "UPS brown"!) with honey tan leather interior. The overall combination presents very elegantly indeed. This particular Jaguar was delivered new in California where it resided for about half its life, then about 10 years in Texas and the last remaining years in Seattle with a senior British car enthusiast. As a result, she is completely "dry" without even a spec of rust or scale. Her condition is quite amazing. The body on this car is very straight and never been in any accident. Looking under the hood and trunk is very evident of its originality. Its hard to tell with the exterior paint but it too appears to be mostly original and, if not, only subject to small touch-ups. There are marks & chips here and there from normal use and you can see in certain light evidence of 70s style adhesive side mouldings having been removed on the doors. Otherwise, the paint is consistent and lustrous. There is no fading or major blemishes. There are no signs of rust at the typical places below the front and rear windows. The underside is clean and dry. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition with excellent Connolly hide leather upholstery finished in the Biscuit tan which is perhaps better described as a "warm ochre" colour. The leather is in outstanding condition with just the right amount of patina giving the car a very nice classic look. The headrests are firmly padded and the back of the front seats were refinished in correct matching fabric as per factory specifications. All the wood on the dash is in superb condition. The wood lacquer is in a satin finish, without any lifting and the wood presents beautifully. Compared to the average example it way exceeds and I would rate it 10 out of 10. There is no typical sagging in the headlining. It appears to have been replaced at some stage. The carpet is in excellent shape and is the original fitment. The satin finish of the light mahogany wood in this example blends beautifully with the tan hides – making the interior of this car very rich and inviting. All interior chrome finishes are nice. Overall she looks wonderful with a great British classic look. Interior features and functions are operational including electrics – windows, gauges, lights etc. The A/C needs recommissioning . Everything is generally very clean and crisp. The chrome, stainless steel and bright work finishes are all good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is fine. Especially the US spec bumpers which are normally all sun beaten and damaged. Mechanically, the car is good condition and the spectacularly clean and original presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. Exhaust is good with the correct looking exhaust tips fitted. Recent work included a rebuild of the head after an identified head gasket leak (cost: $3,000). The car is fitted with a set of period correct looking Firestone 215/70-15 whitewall tires. These are brand new with 100% tread. This is a Jaguar that appears to be free of their usual nuances and typical issues of its age. The 91,500 miles is not verifiable but everything about the car certainly supports it and, in fact, presents as a much lower mileage example. This is a 9 out of 10 driver example that would make for a gorgeous “weekender” - one that you could take to your next Jaguar meet with pride and joy. You would find it hard pressed to find another in equivalent condition. Yes, the wood used inside Jaguars is real, not some simulated plastic, and the plush carpets feel impossibly luxurious under your feet. Jaguar XJ6Series I1973 4.2 straight six sedan in spectacular condition & presentation TThis a really pretty XJ6 Jaguar sedan out-fitted in Old English White (Ivory colour) with Russet red Connolly hide interior. The overall combination presents very elegantly indeed.This particular Jaguar was delivered new in California where it resided for about 25 years. It had a brief stint in Colorado and then the rest of its life in Texas. As a result, she is completely "dry" without even a spec of rust or scale. Her condition is amazing.The body on this car is very straight and never been in any accident or repair. Looking under the hood and trunk is very evident of its originality. Its hard to tell with the exterior paint but it too appears to be original and, if not, could only have been subject to minor touch-ups. There are some minor little marks/chips here and there from normal use and you can see in certain light evidence of 70s style adhesive side mouldings having been removed on the doors, but this is only under close inspection. Otherwise, the paint is consistent and lustrous. There is no checking, fading or cracking. The underside is clean and dry.The interior of the car is in great condition with excellent Connolly hide leather upholstery finished in the Russet red which is perhaps better described as a "burnt orange" colour. The leather has a wonderful patina to it giving the car a very nice classic look. The front seats have the burnished appearance of an antique chesterfield leather lounge. I love this look but if you are a perfectionist and like leather to look "new" (like the rear seats), let me know as our company is one of the leaders in leather reconnolising. I can have it redone at no charge.All the wood on the dash is original and in very good condition. There are a couple of minor hairline cracks but this is not glaringly obvious. The wood and lacquer finish is shiny, without any lifting and the wood presents beautifully. Compared to the average example it way exceeds and I would rate it 9 out of 10. There is no sagging or marks in the headlining. It appears to be relatively new. The carpet is in excellent shape and is the original fitment. With the car comes a set of tailormade overlays which are almost a perfect match. The glossy finish of the rich wood in this example contrasts beautifully with the Russet red hides – making the interior of this car very rich and inviting. All interior chrome finishes are nice. Overall she looks wonderful with a nice classic patina look.Interior features and functions are operational including electrics – windows, gauges, lights etc. The A/C needs recharging but is fully functioning (guaranteed!) - we will get it right at delivery. Everything is generally clean and crisp.The chrome, stainless steel and bright work finishes are all good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is fine.Mechanically, the car is good condition and the spectacularly clean and original presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. Exhaust is good with the correct looking exhaust tips fitted. The car is fitted with a set of period correct looking Dunlop Elite 225/70-15 whitewall tires (with some 80-90% tread). This is a Jaguar that appears to be free of their usual nuances and typical issues of its age. The 59,500 miles is not verifiable but everything about the car certainly supports it and presents as a low mileage example. This is a 9 out of 10 driver example that would make for a gorgeous “weekender” - one that you could take to your next Jaguar meet with pride and joy. You would find it hard pressed to find another in equivalent condition.
