Up for auction is a very nice Studebaker Street Rod. This vehicle was built in the mid-eights and has been in several national magazines over the years. It currently has a 327 setup with 3 deuces and automatic transmission, Corvair front end with disc brakes up front and rear drum, duel exhaust, and lots more. The interior is in great shape and all gauges function well. The body has a few flaws which can be seen in the pictures. All chrome is great, tires also are very good. I am selling this for a friend and will try to answer any questions you might have. He is the third owner and has had the car for about 2 years. It runs great and needs nothing except a charge in the air conditioning system. It was working at the beginning of summer but now needs a charge. The exterior was painted about ten years ago and is a shade darker than the original blue. It looks to have had some repair work done on the rocker panels in front of the rear wheels but it must have been fixed properly as there is no bubbling or rust showing. There is a small spot on the left front fender that looks to be a small rust spot but has not come thru the surface . I have a picture included although it is hard to see. It is very solid on the underside. The paint is very nice and looks to have been a quality job. The interior is very nice for one of these Z cars. Seats, carpets, door panels all in good shape. As with any of these cars that age there is some fading on the door panels and the covers over the rear wheels in the back storage area but is by no means terrible. The original bags for the T-tops are included along with the proper black-out panels for them. I have included a picture of the original window sticker so you can see all the equipment that is on the car. The wheels show some sign of ware as the clear is starting to peel but other than that they are in good shape. This car runs great and still looks good. Selling my 2002 BMW M3. It has had many pieces of maintenance done: valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, vanos gasket, new brake rotors, rtabs and fuel filter. No SES lights are on but it does have a brake light on because the sensor isn't plugged into the caliper. The AC belt it also not on but will come with car. The AC will need to be recharged. Car is a manual. A few days ago I heard the engine begin making a ticking noise. I believe it may have possibly spun a rod bearing but I'm unsure. As soon as I heard the sound I shut it off. Car does run and drive by the way. I'm moving away to school and don't have time to diagnose the problem and fix it. I am listing this for a friend and the following is the information he has given me. I will try to answer any questions you might have and send additional pictures if needed. Up for your consideration is a very solid survivor R/T. This car was purchased by my friend about ten years ago with the intention of a future restoration. He purchased it from the original owner who originally bought the car when returning home from Vietnam. The original owner had the vinyl top installed and also a "pop up" sunroof which was a popular item in those times. He was an electronics person that is why all of the extra "things" were added to the car. I'm sure if he would have realized that someday these cars would be so sought after maybe he would have kept it in original condition. The biggest challenge of course will be to eliminate the sunroof. The good side to all of this is that most all of the parts needed have been reproduced. The car runs and drives but will need brake work to be road worthy as it has been stored for the last ten years. There is a copy of the build sheet which you can view in the pictures. All the numbers match, transmission and engine and also the correct numbers on the radiator support which can also be viewed in the pictures. This is a very solid car including the trunk floor and drop off panels. The trunk floor was covered in some type of carpet with a form backing which has been cleaned off so you can see the original trunk pan. The body and floors are very solid with the exception of the lower left quarter panel which you can see in the pictures has some rust but is very repairable. There are also two spots on each rocker panel where the factory joined them under the door where they meet the quarter panels that have the lead joints starting to push out. These you can see in the pictures. There are other dents and scratches all around the car but all very repairable. I have tried to include pictures of these areas and do have a few more that I could not fit in the listing. I will be glad to send them to you if you send me your email address. Please no picture collectors, if your serious I don't mind but as we all know these auctions take time to put together and follow up on. The transmission was re-built during the course of ownership by the original owner. The engine has never been apart as far as we can tell. It runs well has a slight tick on startup but does quite down within a few seconds. It does not smoke or have any unusual vibrations. I'm sure it would benefit from a good tune-up and some fresh gas. The rear body panel cover has been refurbished but the letters never put back on but they are included in the sale. There are also several other items including a reproduction console that are included in the sale of the car. Both front seats come out. You can leave driver’s seat in and can put wheelchair in passenger’s position so they don’t have to ride in the back and get sick. Has automatic ramp on right side slider door. This van has a left side slider door as well as well with no ramp. The van squats or kneels down when ramp comes out. Ramp can be deployed from driver’s seat on dash or from inside by door. I got this van for my mom to bring her out more and looked at quite a few vans and this one had nice features and was in great shape and low miles. Please note this van has a reconstructed / salvage title.
