For your consideration today, I have a Nice older Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 pickup. (None A/C Cab. w/ Floor vents. are getting Hard to Find) The 305 4bbl Engine has been completely desmogged. And Runs VERY Nice!!! EGR has been blocked off. smog pump removed, Cat. removed. Spark control computer removed. And replaced with, "FlowMaster" Dual Exhaust. Replaced the, Feedback (ICS Motor) Q-jet carb. w/ a Non feedback Q-jet. Also new Radiator, and New Alternator. (I have NOT done a Comp. test. It runs very nice I don't think it needed one.) Front Axle/ Steering is tight. W/ New Shocks and Mile Marker Hubs. Front drive line is tight. And, 4- 95+% Dick Cepek Trail Country 31/10.5/15 tires! w/ hub caps on Stock rims. The TH350 Trans. Has been Freshly Rebuilt! (now about 500 miles) w/ New Torque converter (1800/ 2200 stall), Trans Cooler, Inline Filter, Assault Pan, B&M- R/V shift kit. The 208 Transfer Case "was" Cracked and leaking. (Hit a rock?) So I used a Seal kit and another Core to overhaul it. Perfect! New Rear U-joints. I Resealed the 12 bolt Rear diff. Now when I first removed the Rear brake drums, I had to break the Factory Seals!!! The Drums had NEVER been off! The Axle seal on the Right side was leaking. So I went through and resealed the entire Rear Diff. It has 2:56 gears. Tall gears. But it gets 16- 17 mpg. It may get better on a long Hi way run. New Brakes and Wheel Cylinders (cause I was in there anyways). The Body. It has Many dents and scratches. Rust in the Cab corners and rocker panels under the doors. The Floors are solid. The Bed is Solid. Tail gate is an, el cheapo from the scrap yard. But it works. (Former owner had a, Hay Spike in the bed). The Frame, is Solid! and EVERYTHING! Works like it should!!! EVERYTHING! My neighbor rode with me one day, and said, " Damn I wish mine ( he has a 78') drove like this one. This is like riding in a New old truck!". This Truck has only 89,000 original Miles!!! It was a Farm Truck most of it's life. And sat for long periods. according to the former owner. I am the third owner. I bought it from a Kid that got it from his Grand Pa. In Doolittle, Mo. But it needed too much work for him to deal with. (Trans. slipped) This is now a Fantastic Running and Driving Truck. And All the Body parts can be bought New. From, Companies like, LMC, Year one, J.C. Whitney, ext. .... 73' - 87' Chevy trucks. This is a Great nearly stock unmolested survivor. I am a Semi-retired Mechanic. This is a nice 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4x4, I am the second owner of this truck the first owner was the department of conservation. There are a couple of cosmetic scratches on the tuck and a couple of dings on the driver door and a dent on the passenger side of the hood. The bed has been bed lined and it comes with the bed matt and tool box. The truck is equipped with a goose neck hitch with removable ball as well a 2 in ball for the receiver. Has seven pin hook up, the ac works good, lower speakers in doors do not work. The windows have been tinted head liner is in good shape. Both driver and passenger seats adjust independently. Truck has a clear title. Truck runs good only 143000 miles on it, no issues that I know of shifts good 4wd works high and low. All 4 tires have good tread left on them, rims have been bed lined and spare tire is under truck with good tread and spare tire tool is behind the seat along with the factory jack. 1972 C-10 Custom Deluxe Pickup that was redone approximately 4 years ago. It has a 350 motor with automatic. This is an extremely nice driver that could be drove anywhere. It is two wheel drive with a long wheel base. This truck rides and drives very well. We even drive it on the interstate. The truck is very straight and we always get lots of compliments on how sharp the truck is. The truck bed's interior does have dings and scratches, due to being used as a truck. However, the truck has won several trophies the last few years at car shows. We just won second place in a car show this weekend. There are a couple of very small bubbles in the white paint behind the back wheels on each side. You cannot see these unless you are very close to the truck. The interior is super nice. The white door panels do show some wear, but are still very nice. The air conditioner does work. The radio does not work.
