This is a Mark VIII fopr the discrimintaing buyer. It is is EXCELLENT condition inside and out, and it runs and drives fantastic. We've been listing cars on ebay for nearly 15 years, and have listed dozens of Mark VIIIs in that time. We have not seen one in better condition that this one - it is truly remarkable. The paint shines all around, and there are no notable dents or dings. The carriage roof is also in excellent shape. This is really a great looking car....This Mark VII has the dealer-installed Presidential Appearance Package. It includes a cloth carriage roof and the wheel wells have chrome moldings. Every diamond has a flaw: there are some blemishes in the chrome on the grill. The HID headlamps and Neon 3rd brake light are intact and working. (expensive items, the headlights are sometime replaced with standard bulbs and inoperable brake lights are often left that way if they go bad) The interior is clean, and also in outstanding condition. The leather seats have no holes or tears, and there is no smoke odor. Both front seats have power controls and lumbar. The driver's seat has 2 memory settings. The rear seat is clean and comfortable. This Mark VIII has some nice luxury and convenience features: Power windows, locks, and mirrors; Remote entry; Power tilt & telescopic wheel; Cruise control; climate control air conditioning; JBL AM/FM/Cassette stereo, Rear defrost, auto headlmaps, HomeLink, and much, much more. Safety features include a dual air bags, anti-lock brakes and traction and control. The driver information center displays a calander, compass, fuel info, and vehicle settings. The owner's manual is with the car. So are three keys and two remote entry key fobs. The trunk is clean and has lots of storage space. The 4.6 liter V8 runs strong and very smooth rated at at 280 hp and 285 lb-ft of torque. We don't have maintenance records, but its obvious that this Mark was very well cared for. The underside of the car is clean - no leaks, no rust. The wheels are also in great shape, and the tires have very good tread remaning. Current mileage is 77,220. The body is prime for a good quality paint job as it is hard to even find a door ding (there are a couple tiny ones), car has had no body work done. The interior is what really sold me, I have had 6 Mark's and this is by far the nicest interior, I drive a 98 but always felt the Gen 1 cars had the better interior, and this one is near Perfect and Gorgeous Black with Burl Wood Grain Trim, even the usual driver side entry slide area leather looks perfect (better than the pictures, no wear only natural leather grain). TRANSMISSION Lowest mileage car I own at 105,000. I put the 9 miles on the trip meter since purchased and the car has been sitting under cover in my covered driveway ever since as I wanted to keep the mileage low until after the paint job. I took the car cover off today to take pictures and start her up, had to charge the battery but started right up and runs great, however and I realize this is from letting it sit too long there is now an intermittent to none on the 2nd to 3rd gear shift, transmission is tight and quiet and this is a new issue since sitting and can only be a few things, unfortunately I do not have the time to play with it right now, I did find time to install a new throttle position sensor as this can be a very similar issue and have rule that out which means it is a fluid problem. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS PLEASE NOTE: Title and Previous Bill of Sale in hand, car has not been registered in California since 2013, $163 fees were paid 3/2014 but it appears the car changed hands minus a smog certificate and without title transfer and license plates are not included. Also Includes the factory owners manual with leather case And Lincoln signature Cross pen Certain to please the demanding Mark VIII enthusiast email [email protected] Call / Text : Jon (619)339-9438 thanks for looking and happy bidding On Jan-26-17 at 15:20:17 PST, seller added the following information: The reasons this car is for sale as-is: I have 5 mark VIII's, four 98 LSC's and this one, one car is in parts. and one is in the back yard for swapping parts to test, one is a backup if there's ever a problem with my daily driver or wifes, we have horses that need daily care and a horse trailer in the driveway and need to pull it so I have a 1995 Suburban that at the moment runs but needs the intake manifold and possibly more changed but I have waited as long as I possibly can to do the job as this past year there were many fires near by and we might need to move the horses in a moments notice, so I decided all these Lincolns as back up vehicles was unnecessary and purchased a 1970 C10 chevy flatbed that will work out better as an all around back up / farm truck / horse puller / hauler but also needs quite a bit of work before it is usable , and since the 98 Marks are in use and interchangeable, and with all the other projects I have going besides the car jobs mentioned, and the fact I really only have enough covered driveway space to work on 2 cars at a time and parking for 4 more, throw in wife's Saturn and another utility trailer and I have a traffic jam in my driveway and its like a slide puzzle every time I want to use one. I purchased the 95 Mark because I always wanted a Black on Black and this ones low miles, perfect interior and near perfect body sold me immediately, and when I drove it I was impressed that the Gen 1 car feels much more responsive and powerful, it needed a grill when I bought it and the windows regulators didn't work small chip in windshield and thats it!!, my plan was to give this one a high dollar paint job, cut and polish, new steering / suspension bushings and components as I do on all my cars (though this one doesn't feel like it needs them yet) then make this my daily driver, I did find time to do the grill and 1 door regulator when I purchased it but it has sat in the same spot for almost 3 years, my wife has finally convinced me to let it go, so here it is please read: I will help with shipping, I recommend putting it for bid on the independent shipping sites but also know the going rate for a vehicle is about $1100+/- coast to coast and you can deduct % depending on the distance to southern California also this car has already sold twice on ebay with unpaid item / non payment cases opening automatically, if you cant pay the $500 deposit within 24 hours as per the ebay agreement, please contact me

Ford's luxury division seems to have forgotten the cars that made Lincoln great, and there's just no excuse for not having a Mark personal luxury coupe on the showroom floor. The Mark VIII was the last of the breed, and fortunately, this 1998 Mark VIII LSC is a fantastic performer with low miles and exemplary maintenance, so you can satisfy your high performance Lincoln coupe craving without having to settle for whatever sedan they're calling a MK these days. The Mark VIII was a great showcase of Ford's silky smooth 4.6 liter DOHC V8, which gave the LSC the moves of a much lighter car. American through and through, it's big, strong, silent, and capable of eating up vast stretches of highway without breaking a sweat. The LSC (which stands for Luxury Sport Coupe) was ostensibly the most sporty of the bunch, with a firmer suspension, bigger tires, dual exhaust, and a few other niceties to make it feel less pillowy and more aggressive. In truth, they seemed to nail the balance of luxury and sport, creating a car that looks handsome and refined, yet distinctive, and whose performance exceeds expectations. With just under 67,000 original miles, this handsome coupe shows extremely well, with the white pearl paint glowing in the sun and showing very few signs of use beyond a scuff on the front bumper. LSCs like this one got upgraded headlights, a color-matched grille (instead of chrome), and a full-width taillight treatment that includes a neon tube that lights the center section. The tan leather interior is simply gorgeous, with a wrap-around instrument panel that feels very futuristic. The seats show very little wear and certainly no signs of damage beyond some slight wrinkles and even the carpets remain in excellent shape. There's some wood on the center console and a wide instrument panel that houses big, round analog gauges that you can read at a glance. Obviously, as Lincoln's flagship, everything was standard, from automatic climate control with ice cold A/C, to power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors, to a trip computer that monitors, well, just about everything. Cruise control buttons are on the steering wheel and there's a powerful AM/FM/cassette stereo system with CD changer and in the hushed Mark VIII's interior, it sounds amazing. There's also a big trunk that makes road trips a pleasure. With 280 horsepower on tap, the Mark VIII is alarmingly fast, and that DOHC V8 makes a sound akin to ripping silk as it roars towards redline. In truth, there still aren't many cars that are faster on the roll, and punching this car at highway speeds produces an unending stream of torque that hurls the big coupe forward effortlessly. It's properly maintained and if service in Mustang Cobras has taught us anything, it's that this Modular motor is virtually indestructible. The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission has a knack for always being in the right gear and it just loafs along at highway speeds thanks to tall gears out back. The all-independent suspension was originally equipped with airbags at all four corners, but that troublesome setup has been wisely replaced with coil springs, which preserve the ride and handling but eliminate the headaches. Big disc brakes with ABS haul it down from speed without drama and it's fitted with gorgeous chrome alloy wheels wearing 225/60/16 Michelin radials all around. The last of Lincoln's personal luxury coupes is still a fantastic car, and at this price, you get incredible performance and luxury for pennies on the dollar. The time has come to let my 1998 midnight grey metallic Lincoln Mark VIII move on to the next caring soul. I am the third owner and for the last two years, it has been a dependable daily driver. Overall the car is in good condition with a nice interior and shiny original paint. For the 134k miles on it, it looks and rides better than many with ½ that many miles. As soon as I got this car home I recorded the sound of the car along with the air suspension rising upon initial cold start up. (See my youtube channel) My Mark VIII also received some repairs and adjustments. I installed a lasagna repair, new neon ballast, had the exhaust adjusted, the VIN number etched in the glass, and purchased a nice car cover. Regarding the exhaust, the drone was too loud for me and from the looks of it, the pipe was a bit close to the bottom of the car. After the adjustment, the drone was reduced and the exhaust had a better sound. The former owner, took excellent care of this Mark and upgraded the brakes to the Cobra version and more versatile 4.5 inch hubs. I am selling the car for a few reasons. One, I have two other vehicles (06 Nissan Titan and modified 93 Crown Victoria, see pics) and having three vehicles for me alone is a bit pricey. I take care of my cars so maintenance does play a factor. Two, an addition on the house is in the works and the proceeds from this sale will help pay for the concrete. Three, I have been pulled over twice in this car in less than 6 months. The car rides on air (air suspension, right?) and it enjoys high speed so I give it what it wants. Well, Lake Pontchartrain Causeway cops don’t care. Along with this car comes a desired cargo net and the tape deck still works in what I believe is the original stereo that came with the car. Also will be a Blackvue WiFi DR500GW-HD car camera and a Coverking Car Cover. I am selling the car for $5,200 with the above mentioned accessories. Although I am not ‘locked’ into this price, I will not move from this price much b/c it is a great car with minor issues that I still drive about 1 or 2 times a week. It's a true "hot rod Lincoln."The ONLY reason I'm selling is that I have three other cars--something's gotta go! The car currently has 164,xxx miles, mostly interstate, and it runs and shifts smoothly. Virtually everything works as it should--even the neon tail light--with one exception: The heater blend door controller is inoperative. The A/C blows cold and the heat is hot, but I currently adjust them manually. I have a brand-new replacement blend door controller, which goes with the car. The interior is in excellent condition otherwise. The only other flaw is the driver's cup holder, which is broken. A new replacement goes with the car and can easily be installed when the console is removed to repair the blend door. This is the second LSC I've owned. The mileage will be higher since I am using the car as my daily driver. They really are fantastic cars, float over bumps, tons of power and still gets great mileage on the highway. The car has no mechanical issues. I'm driving it daily. All the gauges, info center, digital accessories, power seats, memory seats, info center, digital climate controls, everything works exactly as it should. The interior is the nicest interior Ive even seen with a used car. It looks like a 9k mile interior, not a 91k mile interior. minimal wear. ZERO tears. Wrap around dash, leather. Its a nice place to be. Not perfect, but close. Rear window tint is starting to bubble (can remove or replace if needed, let me know) The body of this car is rust free but could use a paint job, there are dings and dents as well as the typical ford paint fail/fade (see photos). The successful high bidder will submit an initial non-refundable down payment of $1000 within 24-hours via PayPal, bank wire (request instructions from seller), or bank certified check via overnight delivery. The Buyer agrees to pay the full balance due within five (5) business days of the close of the auction. Payment for the balance can be made by bank wire transfer, bank certified check, or cash. Funds must be in US dollars only and all financial transactions must be completed and verified by Sellers bank before the release of the title and vehicle to Buyer. The Buyer is responsible for any and all applicable state and local fees, including title and registration fees in the state in which the vehicle is to be registered. Pick-Up / Shipping If the buyer wishes to ship the vehicle the buyer is responsible for making all shipping arrangements. I can work with the buyers shipping carrier to coordinate a date and time for scheduling vehicle for pickup. If necessary "temporary" short term storage is available until shipping/pickup arrangements can be arranged. I can assume no responsibility should any damages be incurred after the vehicle is picked up by the buyer or the buyers shipping carrier.
