This is not a standard 2006 Mazda 6. It is a 2006 MazdaSpeed6 (sometimes referred to as a Speed 6 or a MS6). Relatively similar looking but there are still several significant differences. If you are not familiar with this, it is similar to the difference between a Subaru Impreza WRX STI vs. a standard Subaru Impreza. This MS6 has as much speed and handling ability as a Subaru STI, but with more room in the back seat, and at less than half the price of an STI. Engine is a 2.3L in-line 4 cylinder DISI Turbo w/ 6-speed manual transmission, approx. 87k miles (mileage is approximate because car is still being driven until sold), AWD, 274hp & 280 lb-ft torque, 13.0 sec 1/4 mi., Silver Titanium Gray Metallic exterior w/ black leather interior incl. heated seats and cold A/C. New clutch & flywheel. New power steering pump and power steering cooler. The front wheel bearings have been replaced with with new OEM bearings. Preventative maintenance completed on schedule, including regular oil changes, at dealership by Mazda tech. specifically trained for work on this model vehicle. The car has never had a drop of gas that was not 93 octane (required combustion point associated with this engine). Car is stock/OEM with no aftermarket modifications. Includes a set of winter wheels w/ winter tires in addition to the summer wheels and tires. New Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 XL summer tires with only a couple thousand miles on them are mounted on the OEM 18" wheels. Winter tires are Michelin X-Ice and are mounted on 17" wheels and are presently on the car. Summer and Winter tires are each the highest ranked tires in their respective categories that will fit this car. Combining AWD, the manual trans, stability control, and the winter wheels & tires, this car has been significantly better at driving in the snow and ice of northern Michigan than any 4x4 truck/suv that I've ever driven. Some rust forming mostly in the rear wheel wells. Keyless entry, keyless ignition, Bose audio system, heated seats, power moon roof. Original owner. Adult non-smoker owned, never raced/tracked. Selling since recently had 4th child and this car only seats 5; would keep it if it could fit 6 people. Car is presently located in Traverse City, MI and can be made available to see by appointment. I will not ship this vehicle. It is only available for local pickup.

This Miata should only be fueled with Premium-grade (93 Octane or higher) gasoline.While this Miata has been garaged nearly it’s entire life, it has rust on both rear quarter panels, and some small signs of bubbling paint in a few places (you can see in the pictures). Apparently, this rear quarter panel rust is somewhat common for this body style – caused by how the water drains from the convertible top. On a cold start you will hear a squeaking from one of the two accessory belts (instead of one serpentine belt, the car has two belts) at idle when power-consuming options are turned on. For example, if you turn on the heater, the headlights, the fog lights, lower the power windows and turn the steering wheel immediately after starting the car with a cold motor, the belts will surely squeak. Replacement belts will come with the purchase of this car – apologies, but I just haven’t had the time to install them.This Miata was struck while parked nearly three years ago, resulting in cosmetic damage that was fully covered by insurance and professionally repaired by Parchment Collision in Kalamazoo, MI. If I were to keep it, what would I do with it? I seriously considered keeping this car as my daily driver for another couple of years. I love driving it – even in a Michigan winter it is a blast to drive with dedicated Winter tires. The Borla exhaust sounds beautiful, and the Momo steering wheel feels perfect in my hands. If I had kept this as my daily driver I may consider eventually replacing the windshield. When driving directly into a sunset, the age of the windshield is apparent. I might consider taking the car to a body shop for an estimate to repair the rust; or, I might just keep driving it as is for the next 100,000 miles. The other option is to install a roll-bar and prep the car for track work. This car has never been on the track, which is a shame.
