But, while those extensively customized rigs are always cool to look at, this 1953 Chevrolet 3100 manages to carry the same level of appeal without any major gimmicks. That's because, as we've stated numerous times, old school pickups are timeless slices of Americana that'll likely never fall out of fashion. The recipient of a concours-style, frame-off restoration, this Chevy exhibits a level of quality that was simply unobtainable on 1950s assembly lines. Pairing a 216 cubic inch 6-cylinder with a 3-speed manual transmission and striking Burgundy paint, it's sure to turn heads. And, if you're in the market for some sweet collector metal that can be driven, shown and fully enjoyed, it's exactly the ride you've been looking for! BODYWORK/TRIM After World War II, GM rolled out its Advance Design pickups nearly a full year ahead of its revised passenger cars. Why? Well, most agree that, because truck production continued throughout the war, the General's body dies were getting worn and needed replaced. It's a simple answer, and the kind of thinking you'd probably expect behind such a wonderfully uncomplicated machine. Naturally, this 3100's appeal begins on the outside where all-steel lines, memorable enough to inspire the Chevy HHR and SSR, are coated in a fantastic layer of Burgundy 2-stage. That paint, detailed with a Charcoal pinstripe, presents well from any angle, remaining a true testament to rock-solid bodywork that was conducted during the truck's no-holds-barred restoration. And everything adds up to one crisp and clean classic that's been finished to 100% show worthy standards! One of the best attributes of Advance Design pickups is their straightforward ornamentation. Not decorated to the hilt like most '40s and '50s cars, these blue-collar runabouts illustrate how solid design can remain fresh almost 70 years after it was introduced. At the front of this Chevy, a show-quality grille rides between a fresh chrome bumper, clean halogen headlights and a correctly trimmed hood. Behind that hood, a stainless-trimmed windshield leads a smoked greenhouse that's framed in bright, stainless wipers and a small driver's mirror. Beneath that mirror, a polished and bowtie-branded fuel filler floats amid stylized door handles and painted running boards. Between those boards, a spectacular Oak bed is detailed with stainless skid strips and bowtie-branded rail plugs. And beneath those plugs, a "CHEVROLET" branded tailgate reflects sleeved chains, polished tail lamps, a second chrome bumper and polished exhaust pipes. ENGINE Peer in to the truck's body-matched engine bay and you'll find a 216 cubic inch Thriftmaster 6-cylinder that was professionally rebuilt by Greeley Automotive Machine of Greeley, Colorado. Introduced for use in large platforms, and regarded as one of the all-time great Chevrolet powerplants, this "LBA" branded mill is a favorite among vintage GM truck buyers because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. At the top of the block, painted Weber carburetors mix wind, supplied by satin-finish air cleaners, with fuel that's piped through braided lines and high quality XRP fittings. Those carbs ride on a clean Fenton intake, which floats above cast Fenton exhaust manifolds. Opposite those manifolds, a fresh distributor, which sequences fire between MSD Heli-Core Solid Suppression wires and a polished, 12-volt alternator, twists on a tough Comp camshaft. A beefy radiator provides cooling with the help of a large pusher fan and polished cap. And items like a Delco-Remy starter, a silver, "Chevrolet" branded valve cover and a polished oil cap ensure the bright blue powerplant is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this classy bowtie reveals body-matched floors and a powder-coated frame that have never seen the slightest hint of inclement weather. Power meets the pavement through a traditional Muncie 3-speed, which is tied to a 10-bolt, highway-friendly rear end. Correct leaf springs and big drum brakes occupy all four corners of the chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A polished, dual-pipe exhaust system, which is wired to a polished Patrick's muffler, runs the entire length of the truck. Everything rolls on chrome steel wheels, which turn 245/60R15 Goodyear Eagle STs around "CHEVROLET" branded hubcaps. And details like a silver oil pan, stainless fluid lines, a fresh brake booster, a silver flywheel cover and an Optima gel cell battery round out an impressive restoration. INTERIOR One part vintage and one part modern, this pickup's warm and welcoming interior looks straight out of an old school Hot Rod magazine. At the front of the cockpit, a glossy Burgundy dash hangs classy Haneline gauges opposite an old school locking glovebox. In front of that dash, a cushy seat features "CHEVROLET 53" branded lap belts. At the bottom of that seat, clean carpet frames factory foot pedals. Opposite that carpet, a fresh-looking headliner flows from a polished rearview mirror to a simple dome lamp. At the sides of the passengers, body-matched doors feature minimalist upholstery and traditional chrome handles. And in front of the driver, a half-wrapped Billet Specialties steering wheel laps a factory shifter and chrome turn signal switch. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA small binder of restoration photosA stack of restoration receiptsA cam cardA stack of paperwork for the truck's high quality componentry If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a world-class restoration with unmatched style and unparalleled fun, this truck deserves your full attention. It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to nostalgia and Americana that everyone can appreciate. And it's a highly drivable piece that actually FEELS like vintage hardware. From the AK era forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this sleek '59 resto-mod is just the latest in a series of sweet Task Force head turners. Mixing a massaged small block and modern GM 4-speed with bodywork that'll sit well on any show field, this road-ready warrior is worthy of EVERY Chevrolet fan's full attention. If you're shopping for a clean classic that mixes modern detailing with purposeful simplicity, take a close look at this slick 3100! BODYWORK/TRIM A solid canvas that was ready to reflect some smooth street rod art, this super cool pickup benefitted from a ground-up, nut and bolt build that was designed for the street or the show. In addition to top-notch restoration, the truck's sculpted body was supplemented with custom inner fenders, wider wheel tubs, and a cut, smoothed and filled firewall. With that labor-intensive groundwork laid, a smoothed hood and custom roll pan framed a smoothed tailgate, shaved mirrors and a billet-trimmed Curly Maple bed. That slick fuselage eventually made its way to Washington's Whipple Motorsports for a seamless coat of Deep Black Gloss 2-stage. And, when that wet-looking pigment dried, finishing touches included modern headlights, amber parking lamps, capped wipers, tinted glass and bright LED taillights. ENGINE Toss the hood and you'll find a 358 cubic inch, fuel injected small block that, according to this Chevy's builder, creates healthy 10 to 1 compression. At the top of that polished and painted mill, custom, polished aluminum air tubes feed GM tuned port injection, which is seated between stainless fluid lines and a high quality Lokar throttle linkage. Below that linkage, free-breathing heads hide Comp roller rockers under polished, white-detailed valve covers. Fires get lit by fresh EZ Wiring, which jolts MSD Street Fire plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a Griffin aluminum radiator, which rides between a chrome puller fan, a polished expansion tank and a custom-fabricated support cover. Spent gases exit through ceramic-coated shorty headers. A Billet Specialties Tru Trac accessory drive spins an Edelbrock water pump between a polished AC compressor and polished Powermaster alternator. And the truck's glossy, body-matched engine compartment is exceptionally well done, with items like chrome dipsticks, polished hood hinges and a custom-fabricated engine cover rounding out an otherwise impressive build. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this old school bowtie reveals a fresh double A-arm/4-link suspension that's been augmented with polyurethane bushings, tubular control arms and adjustable coil-over-shocks. Behind the small block, a 700R4 4-speed bridges the gap between a 10-bolt axle and 2,500 RPM stall converter. That familiar drivetrain pushes heavily undercoated floors on a body-matched chassis. Unisteer electronic power rack-and-pinion steering provides tracking. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to power-assisted, Aerospace Components calipers, which squeeze big drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers breathe through fabricated, crimp-free pipes, which hang welded, dual-chamber mufflers in front of polished, quad-outlet tips. At the corners of the chassis, polished Coys wheels twist 245/40ZR18 Falken Azenis in front of 315/35R20 Falken Azenis. And everything, from the truck's Milodon oil pan to its relocated fuel tank, is well planned, well executed and ready to work its magic! INTERIOR When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a stylish custom cockpit that's laced with plush, ultraleather surfacing. Top dead center, cushy bucket seats appear to be 90s-era GM pieces. In front of those seats, a smoothed dash hangs Classic Instruments Tach-Force gauges above Streamline controls for the truck's Vintage Air climate system. At the base of that dash, a custom console centers modern JBL audio and a short Lokar shifter between switch-operated courtesy lamps and big Directed speakers. Opposite that console, sculpted door panels hang small, billet handles in front of 1-piece power windows. Under those panels, clean carpet frames billet foot pedals and color-keyed JBL kick speakers. And in front of the driver, a tilting Ididit steering column spins a polished and half-wrapped Billet Specialties wheel. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONComponent paperworkA large display board Perpetually cool and visually stunning, this awesome Chevy is a classic example of the skill and creativity that defines our hobby. But every once in a while, we like to get a little crazy and make sure you're still paying attention. Hey, a gearhead is a gearhead, right? We love ALL kinds of people movers. A few months back we decided to throw you the incredible, investment grade curve ball that is our Hallett Barron Drag Boat And today, well, we're featuring an offering that can easily tow that boat... Or a camper... Or something from the farm ... Or even a couple more classics, should you feel the need to extend your RK Motors shopping spree. So, without further ado, here's a Cummins-powered, Terminator-themed Ford F650 pickup truck! BODYWORK/TRIM Let's start with looks. A few years back, the ever-escalating truck wars inspired a rash of Medium Duty pickup conversions. Offerings like Kodiak and TopKick duallies, the International CXT and the F650 and F750 became staples of showing, towing and comfortable travel. That's pretty much where this F650 currently rides. At the front of the truck, a mirrored steel bumper frames a chrome grille, traditional headlights and a tilting fiberglass hood that kicks off the aforementioned Terminator motif. Behind that hood, a familiar Super Duty cab seats factory-tint glass between a factory visor, factory tow mirrors, chrome C-pillar grabs and hardware for the truck's satellite TV. Beneath that cab, painted and diamond-plated steps hide large fuel tanks. Behind those steps, a lined dually bed centers a color-keyed toolbox between tubular rails and a sliding glass window. And at the back of that bed, a Terminator-branded tailgate caps a chrome dually bumper, which centers a small rearview camera over large mud flaps and a coated Reese Hitch. Most of the truck's vivid visuals come courtesy of completely removable vinyl that was freshly applied by Greensboro, North Carolina's DeDona Tint & Sound. The only exception to that rule is the painted billboards on the aforementioned steps. ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN As the name suggests, the F650 is Ford's offering in the Class 6 Medium Duty truck market. That means the truck's beefy, tow-anything frame has straight, C-channel rails made of 50,000 psi steel. That frame rolls on 8,500 lb. Dana Spicer axles, which span the distance between six 22.5-inch Accuride alloys and fresh meats that were installed just 2,000 miles back. A Ford-supplied air suspension helps counter the exceptional ballast resistance of that stiff frame/tall tire combo. Stops come courtesy of 4-wheel disc brakes, which are augmented with standard ABS and Bosch air-assisted parking. Power-assisted steering is present and accounted for. An electronically shifted Allison 5-speed sets everything in motion. And power is provided by a stalwart, 5.9 liter Cummins ISB turbo diesel. Presently, the truck shows 88,632 miles, which is essentially break-in time on an engine that's known to travel up to 500,000 clicks. And everything benefitted from a complete service that was conducted roughly 1,000 miles ago. INTERIOR When you step up to this level, trucks are all about comfort and utility. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed Ford. The stars of the show are leather, power-adjustable buckets and a broad vinyl bench. In front of those thrones, a Flint Gray dash hangs factory telemetry, factory cruise and factory climate control beside navigation-equipped Kenwood audio, a Sirius satellite receiver and hardware for requisite trailer brakes. Below that dash, Flint Gray carpet floats heavy-duty floor mats around a small, factory-spec console. At the sides of that carpet, wood-trimmed door panels found factory speakers beneath power windows, power door locks and power mirrors. And the driver rules the road through a beefy, leather-wrapped steering wheel, which laps a standard tilting column. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONThe truck's original Line Setting TicketMiscellaneous service records Ultimate tow vehicle, or comfortable cruiser guaranteed to start a conversation? We'll let you decide, but either way there's no arguing the uniqueness of a skull-laden F650 pickup. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck 2014 Detroit Autorama First Place C10 Pickup Lingenfelter EFI 383 V8 6 Speed Year: 1971 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 4112 Transmission type: 6 Speed Manual Engine: LS6 V8 Interior color: Saddle Vehicle Info It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the best trucks on the planet. From the Advance Design series to the C3XXs, every generation has transformed a solid clientele of buyers into a devout following of gearheads. Last week, when Chevy debuted the Tahoe Z71, we couldn't help but think about all the great milestones the brand has enjoyed. And this low-slung C10, part of the marque's long-running C/K Series, is truly in a class by itself. The beneficiary of a professional, frame-off restoration, this award-winning piece of Americana wraps a stout LS6/6-speed drivetrain and neck-breaking curb appeal in enough blue-collar chic to convert fans anywhere. If you're ready to experience a truck that puts the "T" in TOUGH, take a long look at this super cool Chevy! As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that model's extended proportions, this Fleetside C10 seals slick black paint under a glossy clearcoat shell. That sinister two-stage highlights a laser-straight body, which is the result of a lot of time and, more than likely, a significant chunk of money. That seamed body's small amount of metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those panels remain just as GM designed them, with nothing shaved, frenched, filled or altered in any major way. I say "any major way" because, admittedly, there are some cool details that really make this build pop. The 2011 reboot began with a clean billet grille which hangs bright halogen headlights above a broad chrome bumper and LED parking lamps. Behind that grille, a tasteful cowl induction hood anchors flowing "Fuel Injection" scripts in front of tinted glass that's centered in silver wipers and straight stainless frames. At the sides of that glass, chrome door handles and vivid Chevrolet emblems float among a frenched antenna, LED marker lamps and veneered profile trim. And at the back of the truck, a "C H E V R O L E T" branded tailgate hides a custom wood bed between LED tail lights and a second chrome bumper. When it comes to V8s, few can match the storied performance and rock-solid reliability of GM's Generation III small block. What started as standard Corvette fodder has evolved into some of the most versatile, best bang-for-the-buck power on the planet. And the variant found under this pickup's hood is a hotted up LS6 crate engine that's been punched out to 383 cubic inches by the great John Lingenfelter. At the top of the motor, a chromed Weiand intake feeds matched, ported and polished heads. At the sides of that intake, GM's familiar fuel rail covers display custom, Cheyenne-themed graphics over glossy red paint. In front of those covers, a chromed billet serpentine system spins a chrome alternator and AC compressor above a polished water pump. In front of that pump, a polished Street & Performance air box features a big, reusable filter element. That element breathes thanks to ceramic-coated headers, which mix ample sound with ample torque. There's a polished aluminum radiator that's fitted with two efficient puller fans. Charcoal metallic fenders combine with braided fluid lines, a chrome master cylinder and sleeved Super Conductor plug wires to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. And the truck's tidy block sports a thick coat of brilliant red paint that perfectly contrasts, black flex hoses, a black firewall and a body-matched core support. Crawl under this rig and you'll find a fully restored undercarriage that's barely been assembled long enough to amass its first layer of dust. The floors wear a fresh coat of black undercoating, which looks great against the red engine and silver drivetrain components. At the center of that drivetrain, a hydraulic clutch funnels torque through a modern, 6-speed transmission to a Currie 9-inch that's equipped with beefy, 3.73 gears. Fluid power steering makes quick work of turns while power-assisted discs bring everything to a quick halt. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases into ceramic-coated side pipes, which employ an X-shaped crossover and burly Borla mufflers. The truck's powdercoated chassis rides long, lean and low thanks to tough drop spindles, thick sway bars and traditional traction bars. That stance clears 20-inch Foose wheels, which spin 255/50 Hankook Ventus AS in front of 295/45 Hankook Ventus AS. And a stainless, relocated fuel tank rounds out a roster of very impressive hardware. In the '70s, trucks were all about comfort and utility not DVDs, wireless and navigation systems. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed Cheyenne. The stars of the show are Saddle leather buckets that definitely up the style quotient. Below those buckets, stain-free carpet is stretched tight between Dynamat insulation, billet foot pedals and low-maintenance floor mats. Above that carpet, wood-trimmed door panels found big Infinity speakers beneath clever power windows and reliable power door locks. Opposite those doors, a wood-trimmed console backs a curved Hurst shifter. Opposite that console, a stainless-trimmed headliner rides behind a clean chrome mirror. Steering is channeled through a polished and half-wrapped wheel, which spins around a tilting Ididit column. And at the front of the cockpit, a stylish dash hangs fully digital gauges beside modern air conditioning and an MP3-compatible Alpine head unit. Even though this Chevy's sale does NOT include trophies, its major accolades are definitely worth mentioning:Outstanding Truck at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, MichiganStreet Achievement Award at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, MichiganFirst Place in the Mild Pickup Class at the 2014 Detroit Autorama in Detroit, Michigan Thanks to timeless good looks and a first class restoration, there's no denying the wicked allure of this sweet C10. With its bulletproof drivetrain, slick body and classy leather interior, this award-winning resto-mod is a good buy from any angle. If you're ready to stand out from the crowd in classic GM style, clear out a few extra feet in your garage and give your friends at RK Motors Charlotte a call! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1980 Toyota PPI Trophy Truck 015 Restored & Ready To Race Ivan "Ironman" Stewart's Baja 500/1000 Trophy Truck Year: 1980 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 27 Transmission type: 5 Speed Automatic Engine: 302 V8 Interior color: Vehicle Info In 1983, Toyota joined forces with Precision Preparation, Inc. (PPI) in an effort to diversify their motorsports portfolio. This partnership lead to, among other successes, an off-road racing team that dominated the Mickey Thompson Off-Road Stadium Series while accumulating 27 wins and seven championships in the SCORE Desert Series. Though the team was comprised of many talented hands, legendary off-road racer Ivan "Ironman" Stewart stole the spotlight. A 2006 inductee in the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame, Stewart earned his nickname by completing entire desert races without a navigator or relief driver. His efforts lead to several records including most all-time MTEG wins (17) and most Baja 500 wins (17). For 17 years, PPI and Stewart ruled the intensely competitive world of off-road racing, even taking first at the 1998 Baja 1000. That victory, along with four Baja 500's were accomplished using chassis number 015. Built in 1993 to replace PPI's aging 010 chassis, the 015 would become the Master's thesis and, ultimately, final product of a remarkably successful off-road team. Fresh out of an extensive restoration performed by the very hands that built it originally, RK Motors Charlotte is proud to offer the once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of Baja's most famed competition vehicles. At the core of this truck is an aluminum 302 cubic inch V8. Loosely based on the 1UZ-FE Lexus engine. The race version retains the DOHC/four-valve configuration but little else. Though the component list features familiar names such as JE Pistons and Carrillo Rods, every internal part has been custom built to PPI's specifications. Fuel is pulled from a custom 42 gallon fuel cell and distributed by eight EFI throttle bodies controlled by a Weber/Redline ECU. With a 13:1 compression ratio, the mill is good for over 550hp with a flat torque range from 4,000 to 7,500 rpm. Exhaust is channeled through a tuned stainless steel Borla system with USFS-approved spark arrestors. At idle, the truck is surprisingly quiet but a quick blip of the throttle ensures this is a purebred racer. Backing the aluminum powerplant is a custom PPI transaxle utilizing a 5-speed Hewland VGC 200 gear selection box often seen in GTP racing. With a vehicle capable of doing in excess of 135mph across the dunes, the suspension had to be tough. The front and rear both utilize a double A-arm setup featuring PPI coil overs with internal position sensitive shocks that can be tuned for compression and rebound. Only the rate of the Eibach springs varies between the two ends. The setup is good for a total of 22 inches of travel, making small jumps a simple matter. When the desert roads wind, steering is kept light thanks to a PPI V2 power rack and pinion with ram assist. This setup feels more natural to turn at low speeds than many of the smaller race cars we've seen. Braking power is distributed to a four wheel disc setup utilizing PPI rotors, Brembo calipers and a Tilton master cylinder. The whole setup rides on sturdy PPI custom 17" x "7 48-bolt beadlock wheels wrapped in tall BF Goodrich 37" x 17" T/A KR's. Inside, the driver is placed in the center of a hand fabricated aluminum chassis. Despite the middle seat configuration, control layout is familiar with all instrumentation directly in front of the driver and the gear selector positioned to the right. The left hand side of the dash is dominated by toggle switches that control the twelve Hella HID spotlights used to illuminate the desert at night. The right side contains switches for the ignition, fuel pump, fans and other traditional pieces most enthusiasts are familiar with. Overall, the interior is far less restrictive than most race vehicles with plenty of room on either side of the seat. The seat itself is a heavily padded Mastercraft piece with a Simpson four-point harness keeping the driver in place during tough landings. With such long stretches of track performed at once, the driver has to be prepared for anything. The truck is well supplied with a tool kit, Maglite, and hydration system all within arms reach. With the exception of additional lighting, the trucks carbon/kevlar shell has been restored to its appearance at the Baja 2000. For that race, Ivan Stewart was paired with fellow off-road icon Larry Roeseler who drove the second leg of the race. Both names are featured on the #11 number tag behind the cab. Though the composite body has seen a few different paint schemes, this one is an accurate representation of the truck's final competition appearance. All paint and bodywork was performed by former PPI employee Chris Hukill of Hukill Paint and Graphics. As noted earlier, the extensive restoration of this truck to race ready form was performed at TM1 Motorsports by many of the hands that originally built the truck at PPI. The build was watched closely by off-road racing fans and extensively documented by both RK Motors Charlotte and TM1 Motorsports. There are countless pictures of the overall build as well as videos of the freshly rebuilt engine cutting its teeth on the dynometer. The final product was shot by Dirt Sports Magazine as part of their "Masterpiece in Metal" series before being tested in Barstow by the Ironman himself. That testing session plus the full back-story of the truck are covered in a detailed video produced to celebrate the restoration Also Included in the sale are irreplaceable items such as the original chassis blueprints, along with a treasure trove of new replacement parts including: 5 quarter panels2 fenders4 cab sides 1 hood1 roof1 brush guard8 sets of bead locks for wheels5 mounted wheels49 unmounted wheels7 boxes of assorted parts If you want to enter a vintage event or even the Baja 1000, go in with confidence. If you break something, there is very likely a replacement within this collection. Motorsports enthusiasts would likely agree that it's difficult to look at this truck without envisioning it airborne and covered in dust, with the Ironman at the wheel. Built and driven by the best, 015 is a truly significant piece of off-road history worthy of anchoring any collection. In the days of pre-fab racers, hand built masterpieces like this are becoming increasingly more valuable. We submit that this is arguably the most significant truck in the history of off-road racing. To own such a piece of history is a once in a lifetime opportunity-don't wait! About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center. Stylish, timeless and usually armed with plenty of power, these Chevys inspire a cult like following and provide one of the most enjoyable ownership experiences on the planet. This national award-winning C10 is an amazing classic that wraps an air ride suspension and thoroughly massaged aesthetics around a modern 700R4 4-speed and 350 cubic inches of Corvette muscle. Want to park a killer piece of Americana in your garage for roughly HALF the price of a ground-up build? Check out this slick Action Line Chevy! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever penned. Built to dominate the ISCA show circuit, this awesome C10 seals custom Bahama Blue and Galaxy Silver paint under custom Scott Brown airbrushing and multiple layers of wet-sanded clear. That detailed pigment highlights a laser-straight body, which is the direct result a $150K rotisserie restoration completed by Hot Rods by Rohrer's of Burlington Kansas. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those panels remain just as GM designed them, with nothing frenched, filled or altered in any major way. That said; there are some cool details that really make this build pop. The reboot began with a billet grille, which hangs bright halogen headlights above a mirrored bumper and factory parking lamps. Behind that grille, a cowl induction hood leads the eye to smoked, stainless-trimmed glass that's centered between polished wipers, a chrome antenna and a small cargo light. At the sides of that glass, the truck's patriotic profile has been shaved of everything but traditional door handles, sleek mirrors and classy marker lamps. Inside that profile, polished hardware secures an Oak bed, which utilizes 14 coats of finish to reflect a custom stake pocket fuel filler. And at the back of that bed, a stamped tailgate complements trim-free taillights and a second mirrored bumper. ENGINE Crack this Chevy's engine compartment and you'll find a glowing powerplant that features a nice mix of polished and triple-plated componentry. The nucleus of that componentry is a 350 cubic inch Corvette block that's been fitted with Street & Performance Tuned Port Injection. When chrome fuel rails sync with a quality Lokar throttle linkage, a mirrored air cleaner sends oxygen in to polished Brodix heads that are capped with polished breathers and polished valve covers. Those heads hide a Comp High Energy cam that breathes through coated Dynaflow headers. Combustion is sparked by a familiar HEI distributor, which sequences fire through thick MSD Super Conductor plug wires. At the front of those wires, a polished Street & Performance serpentine system spins mirrored pulleys, a chrome AC compressor and a polished alternator. And in front of those ancillaries, a polished aluminum radiator hangs a bowtie-branded cap between corrugated hoses, a polished fluid reservoir, a big puller fan and a billet-topped battery. Visually, the hot small block rides in a smooth, color-keyed bay that's complete with smoothed and mirrored fenders. And details like polished fluid lines, polished Eddie Motorsports hinges, an aluminum oil pan and a chrome brake booster create 100% show-ready aesthetics. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION With modern power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this C10 features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory-spec chassis that's been thoroughly smoothed and dipped in glossy paint. Behind the glare-inducing engine, a dressed 700R4 4-speed spins power to a chrome-capped, 12-bolt axle that's fitted with a posi-trac differential and big, 3.73 gears. That fully sorted drivetrain rides a trick Air Ride Technologies suspension that's built around sturdy sway bars, lucid power steering and quality Classic Performance Products drop spindles. Stops come courtesy of Wilwood 4 and 6-piston calipers, which squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. A custom stainless fuel tank utilizes an internal Holley pump to supply a steady stream of fossils. The aforementioned headers feed coated, 3-inch pipes, which employ polished Magnaflow mufflers. Power meets the pavement through stylish Billet Specialties SLGs, which twist 255/45ZR18 Dunlop SP Sport 9000s in front of 295/40ZR20 Dunlop SP Sport 9000s. And everything, from this Chevy's finned transmission cooler and stainless fluid lines to its painted floor pan and color-keyed fenders, is fresh, expertly finished and ready for show. INTERIOR Outfitted with a taught combination of charcoal and blue surfacing, this pickup's warm and welcoming interior is every bit as stylish as the rest of its build. The stars of the show are modern Silverado buckets that, in addition to sporting custom suede inserts, feature full power adjustment for the truck's driver. In front of those seats, a painted and airbrushed dash hangs factory telemetry beside Vintage Air climate control and Panasonic touchscreen infotainment, which jolts 4-inch Kicker speakers, a 10-inch Kicker subwoofer and Kicker tweeters through a 1,000-watt amplifier. Beneath that dash, a modern console hides a small Air Ride Technologies control panel and remote for the aforementioned head unit beneath trick billet cupholders. Below that console, clean carpet frames polished door sills, custom floor mats and billet foot pedals. At the sides of that carpet, svelte door panels found petite armrests behind billet handles. And in front of the driver, a bowtie-branded steering wheel laps a tilting Ididit column. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESA stack of component manualsA cam card Taking the market by storm over 50 years ago, Chevrolet's Action Line C/K remains one of the hottest trucks on the planet. We'll begin with the number 1. As in: this 1955 F100 is quite possibly the nicest, or '1 of' the nicest, pickups on the planet. Of course, a number that substantial has to have quite a few more numbers to back it up. So, how about 4.5? As in: 4.5 years worth of restoration and customization. Then there's 112,000. As in: $112,000 worth of parts and materials for that restoration and customization. Next comes 295,000. As in: $295,000 worth of labor during that restoration and customization. And last but certainly not least: 425,000 and, once again, 1. As in: the amount the truck appraised for just 1 short year ago. Looking for a world-class showstopper that's above and beyond pretty much anything outside of six-figure corporate builds? Fix your gaze on this incredible custom Effie! BODYWORK/TRIM Professionally rehabilitated and customized during a 6-figure, 4.5-year restoration, this striking F100 spent most of its life as a no-frills American workhorse. In what amounted to a systematic, no-expense-spared rebuild, its solid body was completely stripped, hand-altered and layered in a modified coat of Toyota Hot Lava PPG Deltron 2-stage. And today, the truck rolls as a game changing half-ton that's one part lust and two parts envy! If this Ford is any indication, roughly half a million dollars nets some very impressive attributes. At the front of the truck, a smoothed and painted grille hangs modern halo headlights above clear parking lamps and a modified valance that swaps factory chrome for monochromatic trim. Behind that grille, a shaved hood leads the eye to smoked glass, which plants singled side windows between shaved drip rails and Specialty intermittent wipers. Look closely at the top of that glass and you'll notice that the truck's rather large forehead has been significantly streamlined thanks to careful pancaking and a few inches of forward tilt. Opposite that roof, a flowing profile centers shaved doors and slender hot rod mirrors above custom running boards that frame low-profile exhaust pipes. Those boards melt into heavily modified fenders that, thanks to fresh wheel openings, are completely centered on the trucks axles. Between those fenders, a completely custom bed frames a billet fuel filler in satin-finish wood. And at the back of that bed, a custom tailgate flows in to a custom roll pan that's embedded with Cadillac LED taillights. ENGINE Hoist the shaved and insulated bonnet and you'll find 5.4 liters of Ford mod motor that, thanks to a color-keyed supercharger, twists big horsepower into gobs of stump-pulling torque! At the top of the Jet Black mill, a monochromatic pipe shuttles wind from a remote air cleaner to a Ford throttle body. That wind joins fossils thanks to Ron Francis wiring and Ford electronic injection, which make excellent use of Ford fuel rails and custom fuel lines. As that reaction turns into compression, resultant gases are jettisoned through custom stainless headers. That compression's cooling is provided by a custom aluminum radiator, which stores water in front of a requisite puller fan. There's a modern serpentine system that spins a fresh alternator beside a modern AC compressor. And, aesthetically, the truck's custom engine compartment is exceptionally well done, featuring first-rate ancillaries like SVT coil covers, Canton fluid tanks, a fresh brake booster, a billet hood latch and a billet-secured Optima battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION One peek under this sweet F100 reveals some of the best work money can buy. First and foremost, a heavily modified frame is sandwiched between stainless hardware and color-keyed, undercoated floors. Behind the five-four, an AODE Super StreetFighter 4-speed, rated for up to 500 horsepower, utilizes a 2,400 RPM stall to twist a custom driveshaft. At the end of that driveshaft, a proven Ford 9-inch spins a posi-traction differential around smooth gears and tough, 31-spline axles. That first rate drivetrain pushes a modern 4-link suspension, which features adjustable coil-over-shocks. Tracking is provided by a Heidts Superide front-half, which centers Flaming River power rack-and-pinion steering between two more adjustable coil-overs. Braking is equally class, with Wilwood 6 and 4-piston calipers squeezing a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to stainless, billet-strung pipes, which breathe through throaty Flowmaster mufflers. There's a Rick's stainless fuel tank that's built around an internal fuel pump. And power meets the pavement through Colorado Custom Leadville Aces, which twist 255/45R18 Toyo Proxes in front of 295/45R20 Toyo Proxes. INTERIOR Pop this Ford's electronic doors and you'll find a completely custom interior that blends Hot Lava paint with supple leather trim. Front and center, a tastefully modified dash seats classy VDO telemetry amid components for proven Vintage Air climate control. Opposite that dash, modern bucket seats stretch tight hides under polished buttons. Between those seats, a custom console centers a slender Lokar shifter in front of a polished hand brake and hidden Custom Autosound audio. At the bottom of that console, custom sills frame premium, orange-lit carpet, which rides under color-keyed floor mats and metal foot pedals. At the edges of that carpet, tailored door panels prop billet handles in front of Specialty power windows. At the top of those windows, a sculpted headliner bridges the gap between a billet mirror and leather cab panels. And the driver stays connected to the road through a tilting Flaming River column and color-keyed Budnik wheel. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONRestoration photosAn itemized parts listA few wiring diagramsA stack of component manualsThe truck's 2014 Appraisal Report It takes vision, time, skill, talent, dedication and a wheel barrel full of dollars to finish a vehicle of this caliber. But, at the end of the day, you have a classic that's nice enough to show, comfortable enough to drive and powerful enough to put a smile on your face. That said, why waste years of time and frustration creating a world-class custom when you can call RK Motors and drive off in instant gratification? Pick up the phone and start punching numbers! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser Frame Off Restored FJ40 Land Cruiser 4WD 4 Speed Year: 1979 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Brown Mileage: 72102 Transmission type: 4 Speed Manual Engine: 4.2 Liter Inline 6 Cyl Interior color: Gray Vehicle Info In America's vast and ever-expanding car culture you can find many definitions of cool. There are rarities with long stories and big exclusivity, which are bought to be shown, talked about and referenced. There are purpose-built performance machines that are tailored to specific activities or events. There are chrome-laden cruisers, which honor former eras and bygone lifestyles. And then there are pieces, like this utilitarian Land Cruiser, that are easy to own and just a blast to drive! Fully-sorted and professionally polished, this trail blazing Toyota is one of the toughest and most capable SUVs ever built. And, thanks to a recent frame-off restoration, it's just as versatile on the show field as it is in the mud. If you're looking for a cool classic that's fun, unique and ready to hit the road, this rugged FJ is just your style! Born from practicality and wartime necessity, the Land Cruiser began life as a reverse engineered Bantam GP that Toyota assembled for the Imperial Japanese Army. The truck's rugged construction and tidy proportions proved extremely useful when it came to transporting soldiers, towing equipment and all-terrain motoring. And eventually, circa 1953, Toyota decided to market its proven creation directly to civilians. This 1979 FJ40 is the beneficiary of a frame-off, rotisserie restoration that involved heavy stripping, through sealing and lots of buffing. With the truck's body worked all the way to bare metal, every panel was POR-15 treated, with special attention paid to any paint-to-paint connection that might encourage future rust. When that preventative cured, its surfaces were layered in a heavy coat of DuPont Nason FulThane, which manifests a correct Appenino Brown and Olympus White color combination. And presently, this Toyota's Rhino-inspired body wears a wet-looking finish that shoots glares and casts reflections better than ANY old school factory pigment. Aesthetically, this Cruiser is pretty predictable. But I mean that in a good way. It's an excellent incarnation of the tough, boxy persona that populated the sports utility segment until the early part of this century. The only difference being: this truck's 'open' bodywork trades pure form for productive function. Up front, a bright white grille centers a simple "TOYOTA" badge between Hella H4 headlights, fender-mounted parking lamps and an NOS bumper that's fitted with a rare, PTO-driven winch. At the sides of that grille, tough vertical panels hang removable doors behind silver mirrors, flush fitting handles and gnarly Land Cruiser scripts. At the top of those panels, a bright white roof seals like-new glass behind a hinged windshield, satin-finished wipers and a sculpted hood which features stainless latches. And at the back of that roof, familiar ambulance doors swing a full-size spare and NOS tag lamps around fresh "TOYOTA 4 WHEEL DRIVE" badging and a two-tone bumper that's capped with clear tail lights. Mechanically, this FJ separates itself from other restorations by having every major service concern addressed, including expensive transmission, transfer case and axle rebuilds. Unfurl its lightweight hood and you'll find a 135 horsepower 2F 6-cylinder that looks good and runs great. Based on General Motor's stalwart Stovebolt Six, Toyota's famous overhead valve mill isn't a grossly overpowered piece. But it's certainly proven its ability to get this compact 4x4 out of many tight situations, and tow just about any moderately sized toy its owners can imagine. At the top of the black block, restored air induction pipes wind to a fresh Weber 38 carburetor. At the base of that carb, a silver, "2F" branded valve cover caps factory intake and exhaust manifolds. At the base of that valve cover, a DUI HEI distributor sequences spark through beefy LiveWires plug wires. And the truck's clean engine bay is dotted with many trail ready essentials, including a new radiator and proven Duralast battery. Originally built to mimic America's hella tough Jeep, this old school SUV features part-time four wheel drive and enough ground clearance to give new meaning to the phrase 'stump jumper'. The truck's rugged 4-speed utilizes a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch and tall, 3.70 gears to serve up an awesome combination of off-roading prowess and inclement weather capability. Modern power steering combines a familiar Saginaw pump with a smooth billet pulley and Bill Dorry brackets. New-for-1976 front disc and rear drum brakes have been swapped for all discs, all the time. The truck's chassis, which rides on a cool combination of solid axles and tough leaf springs, has been augmented by an Old Man Emu/Dakar suspension kit. Exhaust is handled by factory replacement pipes and a subdued sounding muffler. At the corners of the floor, powdercoated wheels spin 33x9.50 BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As around new Warn hubs and simple, NOS center caps. And, as far as appearance goes, the bottom of this clean Toyota is exactly what you'd expect from a lightly used restoration; proving that, while this Land Cruiser IS exceptionally nice, it's certainly not something you should be afraid to get dirty. Inside this classic, you'll find a spacious and comfortable environment that has enough room to be your vehicle of choice for any weekend adventure. The professionally restored seats, front bucket and folding, opposing rear jump, are wrapped in high quality vinyl. There's a rare, NOS floor mat that proudly shouts "TOYOTA". In front of the driver, a boxy dash hangs a warp-free pad over clear gauges, restored knobs and a Toyota-branded radio delete. Below that dash, a trio of shifters, one for the 4-speed, one for the 4-wheel drive and one for the winch, ride between a small console and restored heaters. Opposite those heaters, NOS door panels, which display virtually no weathering, frame small plastic handles and traditional window cranks. At the top of those panels, a new headliner is only broken by an OEM roll bar, which is properly painted and fitted with a complete set of rare, NOS pads. Some of those offerings, like the legendary Jeep Wrangler and popular Toyota Tacoma, never really left. But, in general, the segment is seeing a big resurgence through additions like the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger and rumored Ford Bronco. All that numbers talk simply reinforces the fact that trucks, and truck-based vehicles, will simply never go out of style. And that level of consumer confidence bodes extremely well for classics like this exclusive FJ43 Land Cruiser. Freshly restored and professionally polished, this tough Toyota is one of the most capable SUVs ever built. And if you're looking to put a little fun on your map, it's a worldly 4x4 that will not disappoint! BODYWORK Born from practicality and wartime necessity, the Land Cruiser began life as a reverse engineered Bantam GP that Toyota assembled for the Imperial Japanese Army. The truck's rugged construction and tidy proportions proved extremely useful when it came to transporting soldiers, towing equipment and all-terrain motoring. And eventually, circa 1953, Toyota decided to market its proven creation directly to civilians. The beneficiary of a professional restoration that took place at Vintage Land in Colombia, South America, this 1980 FJ43 is a rare medium wheelbase Land Cruiser that made its second debut in early 2015. The truck's mostly-original body was worked all the way to bare metal, promptly re-sprayed in correct 653 Olive Green pigment and shrouded in a fresh canvas roof. And presently, that Rhino-inspired shell creates a classy, wet-look profile that mixes searing glares with smooth reflections. ENGINE Mechanically, this FJ exemplifies that top-notch restoration via its original engine, which wears a familiar "2F" assembly stamp. Based on General Motor's stalwart Stovebolt Six, Toyota's famous overhead valve mill isn't a grossly overpowered piece, producing a competent 135 horsepower. But it's certainly proven its ability to get this compact 4x4 out of many tight situations and tow just about any moderately sized toy its owners can imagine. At the top of the black block, restored air induction pipes wind to a small Aisan carburetor. At the base of that carb, a silver, "2F" branded valve cover caps factory intake and exhaust manifolds. At the base of that cover, a traditional points distributor sequences spark through beefy 8mm I.J.U. plug wires. And the truck's clean engine bay is dotted with many trail-ready essentials, including a re-cored radiator and proven MAC battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Built to mimic America's hella tough Jeep, this old school SUV features part-time 4-wheel drive and enough ground clearance to give new meaning to the phrase "stump jumper". The truck's rugged 4-speed utilizes big gears to serve up an awesome combination of inclement weather capability and off-road prowess. Factory power steering makes turns and crawls a bit more user friendly. New-for-1976 front disc and rear drum brakes have been augmented with modern power assist. The truck's chassis rides a factory-spec suspension that mixes a pair of solid axles with a quartet of leaf springs. Factory replacement pipes shuttle spent gases through a transversely mounted muffler. And at the corners of the floor, Charcoal steelies spin 31x10.50R15 Bridgestone Dueler A/Ts around AVM hubs and simple stainless center caps. INTERIOR Inside this classic, you'll find a spacious and comfortable cockpit that has enough room to be your vehicle of choice for any weekend adventure. The professionally restored seats, front bucket and folding, opposing rear jump, are wrapped in high quality vinyl. In front of the driver, a boxy dash hangs clear gauges and restored knobs over cool air conditioning and a Toyota-branded radio delete. Below that dash, a duo of shifters, one for the 4-speed and one for the 4-wheel drive, ride thick floor mats. Opposite those shifters, simple door panels frame small plastic handles and traditional window cranks. And the driver stays connected to the road thanks to a factory-issue steering wheel. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESRestoration photosRestoration receiptsA replica tool kitA work light Despite volatile gas prices and increasing emissions standards, it's pretty evident that truck-based people movers will continue as some of consumers' most popular investments. That means offerings like this exclusive Toyota are all around winners when it comes to restoration and appreciation. So, what are you waiting for? Break out the compass and set your heading to RK Motors Charlotte for your chance to own one of the nicest Land Cruisers on the planet! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1953 Ford F100 Pickup Truck Frame Off Built F-100 Pickup 5.0 Liter V8 C6 3 Speed Automatic A/C PS Year: 1953 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Black Mileage: 2590 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 5.0 Liter Interior color: Tan Vehicle Info SUMMARY5.0 liter Ford V8C6 3-speed automatic transmissionCustom interiorVintage Air conditioning20-inch Billet Specialties Vintec wheelsPower rack-and-pinion steeringPower front disc and rear drum brakesUpgraded suspensionOak bed / Power-operated tonneau Want a super cool cruiser that's ready to roll? How about one with some of the best vintage styling ever draped over two doors and four tires? If the answer is a resounding "YES", this 1953 Ford F100 is exactly the classic you've been searching for! With its reliable small block, smooth automatic transmission and rich black on tan color combination, this custom is an ideal platform for anyone who enjoys exploring the open road. If you're looking to add a little spice to your weekend routine, here's the perfect way to take Sunday drives to a whole new level! BODYWORK/TRIM Sporting a somewhat pontoon design and classic good looks, the father of Ford's legendary F-Series has always been a highly desirable line of trucks. And not surprisingly, gearheads, customizers and 60 years' worth of fans have elevated it to one of hot rodding's greatest cultural icons. With the help of a frame-off restoration, conducted sometime in the not too distant past, this second generation pickup has been transformed into one smooth-driving cruiser. That rebuild began with shoring up the truck's steel and fiberglass fuselage. Once that solid profile was married to a fresh Oak bed, deep black base was dressed in mirror-like clear. And today, this classy hot rod is one sizzling classic that looks cool, performs well and drives great! Since we're talking aesthetics, I'll go ahead and point out the finer details of this Ford's notable reboot. Up front, a painted grille hangs a familiar "V8" emblem and modern headlights above a minimalist bumper and chrome-trimmed parking lamps. Above that grille, a domed hood floats cool ornamentation in front of smoked glass that's seated behind polished wipers and a power antenna. At the sides of that hood, a monochromatic profile centers chrome door handles and stylized lock cylinders between classy mirrors and a polished, low-mount fuel filler. And at the back of that profile, a power-operated tonneau shades a red-lined tailgate, blue dot taillights and a second minimalist bumper. ENGINE 'Keep it simple' is a good philosophy when it comes to performance and reliability. And the builders of this clean classic did exactly that by equipping the truck with Ford's storied 5.0 liter small block. At the top of the fully sorted mill, a polished and finned air cleaner funnels oxygen in to a coated Edelbrock Magneti Marelli carburetor. That 4-barrel rides between a polished fuel filter, a chrome Accel Super Stock coil and a burly Edelbrock Performer 289 intake. That intake pushes air and fossils through factory Ford heads that are capped with polished and ball-milled valve covers. At the front of those heads, an aftermarket points distributor fires pliable 7mm plug wires, which snake around polished looms and coated Sanderson headers. At the base of that distributor, a polished Powermaster alternator spins opposite a high quality Sanden AC compressor. And at the front of those ancillaries, a corrugated hose drains a large aluminum radiator that's backed by a large electric puller fan. Aesthetically, the bright orange engine rides in a super clean bay that's finished to the same level as the truck's glossy, monochromatic exterior. And nice pieces like a polished breather, chrome dipsticks, polished brace bars and polished fluid reservoirs provide the perfect amount of visual punch! DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Every good hot rod has a solid foundation. Flip this Ford upside down and you'll find a roster of mechanical improvements that mix classic looks with modern mobility. At the center of the floors, a smooth C6 3-speed spins likable, road-ready gears. Beneath that drivetrain, a thoroughly rebuilt suspension frames power rack-and-pinion steering in a modern Mustang II front-clip and KYB Excel-G shock absorbers. Power front disc and rear drum brakes are a welcome addition and big performance upgrade. There's an impressive dual exhaust system that employs throaty turbo mufflers. And everything rides on stylish Billet Specialties Vintecs, which twist 245/35ZR20 Capitol Sport UHPs in front of 275/40ZR20 Capitol Sport UHPs. INTERIOR Inside the truck, a custom cockpit is primed for either open road tripping or parking lot posing. Front and center, a body-matched, billet-trimmed dash hangs slick digital telemetry beside Vintage Air climate control. Opposite that dash, a plush bench seat looks wide enough to sit three. At the bottom of that seat, clean California Carpet anchors a low-profile console at the base of a trick billet shifter. At the edges of that carpet, pleated side panels hang small pulls and polished handles in front of modern power windows. Above those panels, a sculpted headliner frames a polished mirror, custom cab trim and a manual dome lamp. And the driver stays connected to the road through a polished and tilting column that spins a sweet Billet Specialties Lecarra steering wheel. It doesn't matter whether you're a Ford guy, MoPar guy or Chevy guy, this classic F100 transcends barriers and claims universal appeal. The truck's great looks, great performance and great color combo all add up to a great cruiser that can be driven and shown every day of the summer. Indulge as is, or tinker with it to make it sharper, either way you'll have a timeless hot rod that enjoys excellent curb appeal! About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. But, when it comes to restoration, dedicated fans of the 'Professional Grade' division have a rich legacy of preserving unique and exceptionally well-done offerings that cause a big stir every time they roll out of the garage. A first-class showstopper that celebrates the all-American class of vintage pickups, this immaculate half-ton capitalizes on GM's timeless design and GMC's innate exclusivity. And, whether you're a diehard GMC fan, an old school truck lover or just a curious buyer who's looking for something a bit different, it's a cool classic that 'fires on all cylinders'! This pristine 100's head-turning appeal comes courtesy of a 4-year, frame-off restoration that sealed a solid Georgia body in fantastic Narva Green pigment. That pigment, PPG acrylic urethane enamel founded on 100% sandblasted sheetmetal and PPG epoxy primer, was correctly highlighted with hand-painted gold pin striping. And everything adds up to one clean, acutely detailed classic that's been finished to 100% show worthy standards! As the Korean War strained supplies of nickel and copper, metals essential to the chrome plating process, most GM trucks began leaving the factory with fully painted surfacing. In addition to making pickups like this GMC true 'plain Jane' builds, that treatment underscored the offerings' utilitarian nature and eventually increased collectability. At the front of this 100, a color-keyed grille hangs bright "GMC" lettering between a black bumper, fresh headlights and small, white-trimmed parking lamps. Behind that grille, a split windshield leads a 'six footer' cab that's framed in small visors, polished stainless wipers and a color-keyed driver's mirror. Beneath that mirror, stylized door handles ride between correct hood emblems, a locking fuel filler and black running boards. And at the back of those boards, a "GMC" branded tailgate centers painted Yellow Pine planks between sleeved chains, chrome-trimmed tail lamps and an optional bumper. ENGINE Peer in to the truck's super clean engine bay and you'll find a correct, 228 cubic inch 6-cylinder that's been completely rebuilt and fully detailed. Designed from the ground up to be a tough-as-nails workhorse, and serving as primary GMC power for well over a decade, this stalwart mill is a favorite among vintage GM truck fans because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. And, with the exception of carefully updated electronics, pretty much everything on the block has been returned to intentional, factory-spec simplicity. At the top of the engine, a small Zenith carburetor mixes air, supplied by a dressed cleaner, with fuel that's piped through fresh stainless fluid lines. That carb rides on a cast, factory-spec intake, which floats above a cast, factory-spec exhaust manifold. Opposite that manifold, a tagged Delco-Remy distributor sequences fire between fresh plug wires, a stealthy YnZs Yesterdays Parts harness and a 12-volt Delco-Remy generator. An original, re-cored radiator provides cooling with the help of a stock pulley fan. And items like a Delco-Remy starter, a color-keyed, "GMC" branded valve cover and a full assortment of decals ensure the bright orange powerplant is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION During restoration, considerable research was conducted to make sure this 100 is as period correct as possible. And when you crawl under the truck, body-matched floors and a Satin Black frame highlight a roster of factory-spec components that appear to have never seen the slightest hint of inclement weather. Power meets the pavement through a Saginaw 3-speed, which is tied to a 10-bolt rear end that spins big, 4.11 gears. Correct leaf springs and big drum brakes occupy all four corners of the chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A standard, single-pipe exhaust system runs the entire length of the truck. And everything rolls on 6.50-16 B.F Goodrich Silvertowns, which lap correct, stripe-less wheels and correctly painted hubcaps. INTERIOR GMCs of this era were honest, no nonsense trucks marketed directly at farmers who didn't really want, and generally couldn't afford, superfluous frills. And nowhere is that sentiment more apparent than inside the cab. For starters, the slick body's Narva Green paint is snuffed in favor of a calming tan hue; which spreads from a correctly painted dash to the roof, window frames and a stylish, red-trimmed steering wheel. A correct bench seat, restored with custom SMS trim and correct synthetic horsehair padding, combines with correct side panels to highlight a brand of nostalgic utilitarianism that's no longer found in showroom-fresh offerings. Beneath that seat, a heavy-duty floor mat disappears behind a factory heater. An optional rearview mirror joins Juliano's 3-point seatbelts to greatly improve safety. And everything, from the truck's original telemetry to its mirrored door handles, is restored, sorted and ready to roll. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA vintage GMC marketing brochureAn original Owner's and Driver's ManualAn original Maintenance ManualA 2015 calendar Whether it's simple nostalgia, or their long list of extremely useful design virtues, one thing is certain: trucks NEVER go out of style. And when they're built this well, they seem to never fade away. If you're in the market for something that's classy and unique, don't miss the chance to claim this impressive GMC! America's favorite mode of transportation is finally commanding the respect it deserves. And with awesome classics like this clean C10 mixing red carpet looks with everyday drivability, it's not hard to see why. A perfect blend of timeless style and proven mechanicals, this handsome half-ton is a first rate exercise in old school charm and vintage swagger. And if you're looking for a super cool cruiser that can be enjoyed for years to come, it's the classic of your dreams! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as styling goes, few vehicles have aged better than late '60s and early '70s Chevrolets. In fact, toeing the line between rock-solid and refined, the Action Line C/K is probably one of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that model's boxy proportions, this fleetside C10 seals slick, black paint under a glossy clearcoat shell. That sinister 2-stage highlights a laser-straight body, the result of a fresh restoration that wrapped in the Spring of 2015. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those panels remain just as GM designed them, with nothing frenched, filled or altered in any major way. However, there are some cool details that really make this build pop. The reboot began with a black-trimmed grille, which hangs a vivid bowtie and bright halogen headlights above a mirrored bumper and factory parking lamps. Behind that grille, a domed hood leads the eye to fresh glass that's centered between a factory antenna, polished wipers and a small cargo light. At the sides of that glass, the truck's monochromatic, wet-look profile has been shaved of everything but traditional door handles, a simple fuel filler and 1-piece marker lamps. And at the back of that profile, a smoothed tailgate hides a clean Oak bed between trim-free tail lights and a second mirrored bumper. ENGINE Gaze in to the truck's body-matched engine bay and you'll find 427 cubic inches of Chevrolet big block! At the top of that storied mill, a Quick Fuel Technology 4-barrel mixes wind supplied by a polished and decaled air filter with fuel that's piped through stainless fluid lines and a mechanical pump. That air/fuel mixture floods a polished Edelbrock intake on the way to iron Chevrolet heads, which hang polished valve covers between a polished breather and Hooker Competition headers. At the back of those heads, an aftermarket HEI distributor sequences spark through loomed Moroso Wire Technologies plug wires. Opposite that distributor, a combination of billet and steel pulleys spin a rebuilt alternator, requisite power steering and a modern AC compressor. In front of those pulleys, a fresh aluminum radiator circulates coolant around a stylized support and shrouded pulley fan. And details like a Lokar throttle linkage, a CPP master cylinder and factory-spec Harrison AC components frame the Chevy Orange engine in a sea of pleasing and functional ancillaries. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION With that kind of power on tap, it should come as no surprise that the bottom of this C10 features a host of noteworthy upgrades. Everything starts with a sturdy, factory chassis that was thoroughly powder-coated during the truck's frame-off restoration. Behind the sweet engine, a proven 700R4 4-speed engages a stout, 12-bolt rear end. That fully sorted drivetrain rides on a lowered, factory-spec suspension. Stops are provided by red, power-assisted calipers, which squeeze drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners. Modern power steering provides good feel and great performance. Spent gases float from the aforementioned headers to Mandrel-bent pipes and polished Magnaflow mufflers. Power meets the pavement through Billet Specialties Bonneville Gs, which spin a quartet of 255/55R18 Nitto NT420S. And everything, from this Chevy's stainless fluid lines to its urethane chassis bushings, is fresh, expertly finished and ready for action. INTERIOR In the '70s, trucks were all about comfort and utility not DVDs, wireless and navigation systems. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed half-ton. The star of the show is a houndstooth bench that definitely ups the style quotient. Below that seat, stain-free carpet is stretched tight between fresh sound deadening and stainless-trimmed foot pedals. Above that carpet, petite door panels found chrome door handles behind chrome window cranks. Above those panels, a stainless-trimmed headliner leads a manually operated courtesy lamp. Steering is channeled through a familiar Chevy rally wheel, which spins around a tilting column. And at the front of the cockpit, a stylish dash hangs factory telemetry beside factory air conditioning and a direct-fit stereo. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA few build photos If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a great restoration with unmatched style and instant fun, this Chevy deserves your full attention. It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to a level of nostalgia that everyone can appreciate. But, while those extensively customized rigs are always cool to look at, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 manages to carry the same level of appeal without any major gimmicks. That's because, as we've stated numerous times, old school pickups are timeless slices of Americana that'll likely never go out of style. The recipient of a professional, frame-off restoration, this Chevy exhibits a level of quality that was simply unobtainable on 1940s assembly lines. Pairing a correct 216 cubic inch 6-cylinder with a correct Saginaw 3-speed and sublime Horizon Blue paint, it's sure to turn heads. And, if you're in the market for some sweet collector metal that can be driven, shown and fully enjoyed, it's exactly the ride you've been looking for! BODYWORK/TRIM Fresh out of the restoration shop, this mint Chevy has been meticulously rebuilt to preserve all the innate appeal of GM's popular Advance Design aesthetic. The truck's expressive body panels have been bathed in a rich coat of Horizon Blue 2-stage and accented with tasteful yellow pin stripes. Under that retro pigment, an incredibly straight fuselage hangs solid panels that, with the exception of a thorough massage during the aforementioned reboot, appear to have led a quiet, drama-free existence. Those massaged panels feature better-than-factory alignment and, when opened and closed, sound solid and function exceptionally well. And that functional body's combination of excellent reflections and Kansas-flat surfaces suggest many labor-intensive hours were spent exacting top-notch finish work. While its basic shape is certainly appealing, first rate detailing is what makes this pickup really pop. At the front of the truck, a Horizon Blue grille centers gray-trimmed bars between clean halogen headlights and a glossy gray bumper. Behind that grille, a Chevrolet-branded hood leads the eye to a spilt windshield, which fronts a 3-window greenhouse. At the sides of that hood, black running boards combine with chrome door handles, black mirrors and a color-keyed fuel filler to create a simple, attractive profile. At the back of those boards, a fully painted bed adds tangible credibility to a classic work truck theme. And at the back of that bed, a stamped tailgate reflects black taillights, sleeved chains and a second gray bumper. ENGINE Hoist the truck's domed hood and you'll find a 216 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder that's branded with a correct "KAA" assembly stamp. Introduced for use in large platforms, and regarded as one of the all-time great Chevrolet powerplants, the Thriftmaster is a favorite among vintage GM truck buyers because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. A petite Rochester carburetor and old school air cleaner combine with a tagged Delco-Remy starter, a tagged Delco-Remy generator, a beefy radiator and 6-volt Delco-Remy electricals to keep the engine clean and functional. And items like satin fenders, a glossy horn, bold "Thriftmaster" lettering, a bright oil canister and traditional gray skin ensure the mill is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this classy bowtie reveals a clean frame and straight floorpans that have been coated in a nice layer of Satin Black paint. Power is put to the ground through a traditional Saginaw 3-speed, which hangs a correct 591907 casting number in front of a driver-friendly rear end. Correct leaf springs and drum brakes occupy all four corners of this chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A single-pipe exhaust system, which is wired to a large muffler, runs the whole length of the truck. And everything rolls on familiar steel wheels, which turn 6.50-16 BF Goodrich Silvertown 4-plys around blue paint, yellow pinstripes and hand- lettered Chevrolet hubcaps. INTERIOR When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a crisp Burgundy cockpit that's full of utilitarian charm. A vinyl bench seat complements small door panels, a tight headliner and a black floor mat. A "CHEVROLET" branded steering wheel spins around fully restored gauges. And warm heat and a retro AM radio make country drives a little more civilized. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA vintage marketing brochureA vintage Operator's Manual If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a professional restoration with unmatched style and unparalleled fun, this truck deserves your full attention. It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to nostalgia and Americana that everyone can appreciate. And it's a highly drivable piece that actually FEELS like vintage hardware. Whether you're a diehard Ford guy, or just an enlightened gearhead who appreciates killer design, top-notch custom work, and a polished and powerful drivetrain, this spectacular Effie is just your style! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as popularity goes, no truck has a larger following than Ford's storied F-Series. And '50s F-Series, models that enjoy one of the largest aftermarket support bases in the classic car hobby, are some of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that era's curvy proportions and a '56-exclusive cab design, this F100 seals hours of impressive labor under slick GM Raspberry Pearl pigment and sophisticated, multi-color stripes. That wet looking 2-stage highlights a laser-straight body, the result of an intense restoration that involved ample fine-tuning. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And today, this custom rolls as a vivid, fully sorted head turner! Introduced as a 1-year only design, Ford's venerable 'big window' F100 has become one of the most desirable and collectible trucks on the planet. Additionally, its clean profile and sinuous form make it the perfect candidate for the kind of skillful customization you see here. At the front of the truck, a chromed and shaved grille hangs bright halogen headlights above painted, mail slot parking lamps, and a painted and tucked bumper. Behind that grille, a smoothed and shaved hood leads the eye to dark-tint glass that's founded at a filled cowl, cleared by correct windshield wipers, and reflected in tinted and body-matched mirrors. At the sides of that glass, shaved doors cap a familiar profile that's finished with massaged running boards and wide rear fenders. At the center of that profile, a custom tonneau stretches sculpted leather over a smoothed, wood-floored bed that anchors two nitrous tanks in front of a polished fuel cell, a polished battery box and a polished storage box. And at the back of that bed, a custom, swing-away tailgate shades a custom roll pan that features clean mail slot taillights. ENGINE While Ford's trusty Y-block is a good engine that provides a solid ownership experience, this F100's high quality restoration includes high quality upgrades. And those high quality upgrades begin with 460 cubic inches of big block V8: a set-up that served duty as the F-Series' top option mill for many years. The motor's energy mixture is supplied by a big Holley carburetor, which is threaded onto polished fluid lines, a liquid-filled Summit pressure gauge, braided Russell feeds and a reliable Mallory regulator. That decked and coated 4-barrel rides between a polished air cleaner, a coated intake and polished and painted valve covers that sport cool MQQN Equipment breathers. At the front of those valve covers, a proven MSD distributor sequences fire through loomed Accel Ferro-Spiral Race Wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy, color-keyed radiator, which is mated to a polished shroud that frames a large, color-keyed pulley fan. A polished serpentine system spins a chrome alternator, modern power steering and modern air conditioning while spent gases float through wide, hand-fabricated headers. And, in case Ford monster block motivation simply won't do, there's a complete NOS Powershot system that's bolted, wired and ready blow. Aesthetically, vivid GM Raspberry Pearl paint ensures the truck is more than just a random curbside attraction. And details like polished fluid reservoirs, an array of chrome hardware and a trick, forward-tilt hood are sure to attract plenty of adoring fans. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Behind that ferocious big block, a stout C6 3-speed spins a hearty aluminum driveshaft, which twists a narrowed Currie 9-inch that's complete with an aluminum center section and tall, 4.11 gears. That first-class drivetrain is held off the ground by a thoroughly massaged chassis, which, along with solid floors, has been bathed in the same stripes and raspberry color scheme as the truck's smooth exterior panels. At the front of that chassis, a Heidts Superide suspension utilizes power rack-and-pinion steering, polished tubular control arms and familiar RideTech shocks to combine a pleasant ride with a good stance. At the back of that chassis, a polished 4-link utilizes modern coil-over-shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops to counter the truck's serious power come courtesy of four vented discs and four polished, power-assisted calipers. The aforementioned headers feed an H-shaped crossover, polished, glasspack-style mufflers and fully polished side-exit pipes. And all that muscle rides on slick Coys wheels, which roll 26x8.00R18 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs in front of 31x18.00R20 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs. With a beefy drivetrain that's supplemented with ancillaries like Wilwood brake components, a deep-sump oil pan, stainless fluid lines and high quality Mallory fuel components, this Ford is the real deal. And with the kind of detailing that includes, among other things, body-matched, undercoated wheel wells, it'll fare well at any show you chose to attend! INTERIOR Climb inside this F100's supple cockpit and you'll find a custom leather interior that's an exercise in style and solitude. Front and center, an extended, body-matched dash founds simple Auto Meter telemetry beneath a prominent Auto Meter Sport-Comp memory tach. Opposite that dash, supple buckets stretch pliable leather under color-keyed seatbelts. Between those seats, a custom console centers a nitrous-enhanced shifter behind a modern Alpine head unit, controls for a Vintage Air climate system and buttons for the truck's RideTech air bags. At the bottom of that console, premium carpet frames custom kick panels, billet foot pedals and a chrome fire extinguisher. At the edges of that carpet, bold door panels tuck hidden handles and small puddle lamps inside fully striped jambs. And the driver stays connected to the road through a tilting column that spins a sweet Lecarra steering wheel. DOCUMENTATION Our sale includes two small filing cabinets of that are comprised of:Restoration photosRestoration receiptsComponent paperwork Customs like this super cool Ford continue to prove that trucks are rapidly transcending from working-class hot rods to choice trophy winners. It takes vision, time, skill, talent, dedication and a wheel barrel full of dollars to finish a vehicle of this caliber. That said; this Ford's construction cost was probably double our asking price. And at this level, there's simply no comparison to garden-variety hot rods. About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final.
