Coming to you this week we present to you, a beautiful 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250S Sedan. It is a very solid and rust free example showing its pampered life here in the dry southwest and California. Judging by the service stickers in the door jam and the condition of the original chrome, we have very good reason to believe this was a lifelong California car! Solid vintage MBs in this kind of condition don't come along everyday don't miss your chance....BID NOW!The following is a list of options as this 250S is currently equipped:-Original 2.5L 6CYL Engine-Automatic Transmission-Fog Lamps-COLD Factory AC-Two Tone Exterior Paint Scheme-Original Interior-Aftermarket Stereo/ Speakers-Power Antenna-Aftermarket Alarm The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The black paint on the car was just redone in its original color of code 040 Schwartz Black and is in overall very good condition paint job and does not appear to have any bondo repair or previous collision damage. The car was completely disassembled for paint. All stainless trim was sent out for polishing. The grille was disassembled, the mesh section was powder coated to prevent chipping, and new cross bars and clips were used when putting back together. The supple black seats are all in good condition and look very nice, which shows the quality of material used in this car with a few small flaws. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The interior wood panels appear to have had some restoration, and some pieces remain original. The steering wheel was just professionally restored, but we couldn't track down an affordable center cap so we retained the original star. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack, the spare tire and wheel, and a original trunk mat. The trunk pan is solid and the cardboard inserts are still in nice shape. The car has updated Pioneer CD sound system for cruising in style. Only rear speakers were installed to prevent unsightly holes being cut in the gorgeous original door panels. Mechanically, this 250s runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The 2.5L is bullet proof and the twin carb setup when tuned correctly makes for a spirited driving experience. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The 350SD was the diesel version of Mercedes flagship S-Class line. The 350SD was the shorter, more nimble version of the highest selling S-class version in Mercedes history. It has the 3.4L diesel engine which allowed an unbelievable 19/23 mpg for an almost 2 ton car. The car is able to get almost 550 miles on a tank of fuel. The 350SD was only sold in 1991, the last year of production for this popular body style, and there were 2066 of these produced. This car is a rare blackberry exterior with grey interior. The car has had a mild restoration as it was meant to be a car for my son for college. I wanted a very reliable, heavy car that would protect him but still give him good mileage. He ended up moving to a college that made it more efficient not to have a car. The car is not used and I am getting too old to maintain so many cars, so it is being sold. The following is a list of options per Mercedes: The car looks, runs, rides and drives great. The interior is in excellent condition with a single deep scratch in the leather back of the drivers seat shown in one of the photos. Part of the wood has been professionally refinished and it is also in excellent condition. It has new factory floor mats less than a year old, tires with less than 6000 miles on them, and steady maintenance using Mercedes parts. The evaporators go out after about 15 years and are almost $3000 to replace at the dealer because of the high amount of labor involved. This car has had both evaporator and heater core replaced. My other Mercedes cars seem too soft. The evaporator, transmission and repaint are almost $9000 just between them. The turbocharger, radiator, compressor, injectors and a few more parts are also parts that are expensive maintenance items. My goal was just to be sure the care was mechanically sound and looked good for my son to use. These are older cars and it is important to buy one with no issues and the expensive maintenance taken care of. I am selling the car because I am getting too old to take care of so many cars and this car is not being used. It is a very nice example that has had some of the most expensive maintenance already completed. I have got more than $15,000 into this car and would like to get back as much as I can. 1973 Mercedes Benz 280 SEL 4.5 Restored! Restored!!! only 70,700 original miles. Long wheel base with 4.5 V8. This is a 1973 Mercedes Benz 280SEL 4.5 (w108 S class) for sale. For the past two years I have had the car being redone and restored. Just to name a little bit of what has been done. New beautiful paint and body work, whole new braking system (lines, master cylinder, calipers, rotors, pads) engine has been completely overhauled and tuned and new modern ignition system installed. New OEM fuel pump and tank. brand new tires. All new exhaust. All work was done by some of the best shops in Chicago. All parts used are OEM or better. Has a new aftermarket stereo that looks just like the original radio but has all the modern features. New speakers in the original spots as to look perfectly stock. The car has been painted a beautiful dark cherry metallic over a camel colored interior. The car looks great and drives amazing. I have spent allot more than I am asking. This is one of the nicest Mercedes w108 cars out there. Its the long wheelbase with the original 4.5 v8. It only has 70,700 orginal miles. Very rare car 1973 was the last year of the w108 style S classes. There are only a handful of 1973s ever made since the new style S-class was released in 1973 as well. The car is beautiful it has been done to a very good quality. Clear title in my name. It is not concourse level but it is a very good restoration. I have spent a fortune on this car and have just lost interest I bought an airplane instead. I have spent over 25,000 and know Im going to lose money but its time to let it go. The car still needs a few things to be perfect like the AC system gone through and a new headliner (this one has a few small holes) new OEM headliner is included. Always garaged and covered as the condition of paint, chrome, glass and rubber all reflect this. *Please note the Autocheck on Ebay says 3 owners but this vehicle has documentation showing it's a (1) family owned vehicle. We have a clean Carfax available for review. Body panels are laser straight with even space between shut lines all factory specs. The vehicle is largely original paint with even depth and smoothness showing a hi-gloss finish. There are no signs or indications of accidents or body repair. Bolts are unturned and body panels still have the original vin tags affixed. There is no rust anywhere on the vehicle including the undercarriage. The interior is royal blue original leather. There are no rips or tears in the seats. All upholstery is in good shape without sagging or separations. The dashboard is original and has 2 very minor cracks. Carpet is also original in matching blue and shows very nice condition.Service records available. Original books, manuals, spare tool roll, spare tire/rim and 3 factory Huff keys.
