Up for auction is nice cute MG Midget from 1979, in nice shape for the year. Painted red some years ago. I have been adding some things here and there and have decided to keep it as a roadster, because it's more easy like this and fun. Also I live in Southern California. This is a 1976 MG Midget w/ a Custom Restoration. The rubber bumpers have been deleted and the suspension lowered down to the height of the earlier 70's cars before the US imposed regulations in 74-75. This car is rust free and has been painted Damask red with black shirt. The 1500 engine and 4 spd Trans have been rebuilt - during the restoration process the speedo was replaced so the mileage on the odometer represents the actual miles since rebuild. The gentleman I bought this from did a great job and then I added some touches as well. Currently I have a new toy that I am working on and need the garage space. I would like to see this go to an avid britsih car fan. This car is a blast to drive and I can't stop- at a stop light or get gas without folks coming up to me asking what it is or they haven't seen one in a while. This car has always been garaged - it has a brand new top, though it hasn't been up since May 2015- I cover it in the garage. This car has only been driven on nice days, and has not seen a drop of rain in years - but it has been driven and is alot of fun - Best stress relief for the buck. Other points to the car and I will probably forget something-- are as follows:::: Engine 1500cc/1.5L- Weber DGV Carb and Ram Air intake - Header and Pacesetter dual exhaust. A list of all new for the entire car - Roll Bar, Has the Tube Shock conversion as well [gave it much better handling] ,Steering wheel, Seatbelts, Pedal Pads. Rubber Floor mats, New Side Mirrors, ignition coil everything under the hood mostly was replaced or in good condition to begin with, it has new 165 65r13 tires on the refurbished wheels( less than 300 miles on them) . For the asking price will include in all of the original parts that I have and the books from the previous owner and paperwork, plus all of the things purchased and never installed yet - new fuse assembly( blade style with relays) the system works fine was just going to upgrade it, another header as I was thinking of doing something else with the exhaust down the road, switches and things I bought as spares just in case. 1971 MG Midget Restored w/5-Speed & Performance Upgrades ......please be patient while the many photos load..... Stunning 1971 MG Midget for sale in Sonoma California. Purchased by one of my friends who was so excited to get it but so sad when he first tried to get into the car and realized there was no way that he'd fit! So he asked me to put it up for sale to another appreciative collector whom may actually fit in the car! This 1971 MG Midget has had less than 1,000 miles added to its lifetime 85k total since completion of a 2008 restoration. Built with autocross and fast road use in mind, the car remains matching numbers and runs a built, 1293cc A-series, Nissan 5-speed gearbox, upgraded suspension and more detailed below. Roughly $23,000 in receipts document maintenance and refurbishment, including a fully stripped and rust-repaired body. The car is now completely corrosion free, sorted and ready to drive. Purchased by the seller in 1982, it was driven regularly before being disassembled for restoration. Other commitments delayed the project for several years, with work beginning in earnest in 1999. Body and paint were completed by Brooklands British Car in Tacoma, Washington, with the remainder of assembly done at the seller's home over a several year period. An unrestored, factory hardtop is included, and the car rides on 72 spoke 4.5" wide wire wheels including a spare. Bumpers have been re-chromed. The interior is clean and remains largely stock with original seats and steering wheel. Reproduction carpets, door panels, and a re-covered dash complete the tidy appearance. Instruments remain fully factory and are in good working order, and Willans four point harnesses secure both driver and passenger. The soft top and frame are included but need work, and though a new tonneau, tonneau bag and vent window rubber are included they are not currently installed. The tonneau in particular will need modification, as it does not accommodate the roll bar. Engine specs include a large valve APT head, Kent 276 cam, roller rockers, Romac harmonic balancer, ARP fasteners throughout, APT lifters, Aldon distributor, Maniflow intake with standard 1 1/4 SU carbs, LCB header (both manifolds Jet-Hot coated) and APT exhaust. An alloy rocker cover dresses things up, while an engine stabilizer bar and balanced driveshaft reduce driveline harshness. Suspension consists of Frontline Spridget front and rear upgrades (link is for front components, see menu for rears as well), while brakes run new discs, rebuilt calipers and new hydraulic cylinders. Spare and unused original parts include a Speedwell baffled high-capacity oil pan (needs seal mount brazed), original 48 spoke wheels, rebuilt factory transmission, original head (also rebuilt), an extra block and crank, headlight relay kit, transmission reverse light switch kit, HIF6 (1 3/4) carburetor and manifold, stock driveshaft, original suspension components, wiring harness and distributor. Documentation includes a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and aforementioned receipts. The seller recommends replacing the center wiper gearbox due to an incorrect ratio, though the car is in good running and driving order as-is. Asking price listed on our site. For sale is a 1972 MG Midget. The car is in great shape and is running strong with little over 58,000 miles. The previous owner updated the plugs & wires, clutch, pressure plate, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, brakes, brake master cylinder, battery, alternator, starter solenoid, tires, and top. When I took possesion of the car in 2012 I had it professionally tuned up by a mechanic who specializes in vintage British cars. Other than the tune up, the only issue he found on the car was the electric fuel pump - which was fixed. I also purchased boot cover (which is brand new and never been used) for the top and a tonneau cover (used, but is in great shape). The only issues I know with the car are - (1) The slack on the emergency break needs to be tighten. (2) The gas and oil pressure gage isn't working and (3) There are a few points where the pant is coming off the car. however, it is the car's original paint and other than a few points, the paint still looks amazing.

As the title says, I have a 1976 MG Midget for sale. VIN is GANGVG184886. It has roughly 69992 original miles on it at the time of this posting. It does run and is driveable, but it needs a bit of work.The tires are in good shape with a reasonable amount of tread on them, and the engine fires right up. It does not currently have a top, but I do have the (unattached) frame to go with the car. It is also missing the gearshift knob.The previous owner installed a Flamethrower electronic ignition and coil as well as an upgraded (aftermarket) exhaust header and larger Weber downdraft carburetor. The original radiator fan and clutch have also been replaced with an electric fan. In order to accomplish this, however, it was also apparently necessary to remove the heater.There are (surprise, surprise!) some electrical gremlins that need to be worked out, as there are with virtually all British cars like this. The choke cable has been clipped and will need to be repaired, and there is no horn. The signal lamps work intermittently as well. I had planned on upgrading the electrical system to a modern blade-style fuse system, but I never was able to find the time to dive into that.I do have two complete Haynes manuals as well as a laminated, full-color wiring schematic that will prove helpful in working on the electrics.Like I said, though, it does run. Turn the key and it fires up right away. I've taken it on little jaunts through my neighborhood and it never gave me any problems.Thanks for looking!

For sale is a 1962 MG Midget MKI located in our Indianapolis showroom. The MG Midget was produced by the MG division of the British Motor Corporation from 1961 to 1979. The MKI Midgets were produced from 1961 to 1964 and were basically a re-badged Austin Healey Sprite MKII. This 1962 MG Midget MK1 is powered by a 1275cc Inline 4 cylinder engine, backed by a Rib-case 4-speed manual transmission, running to 3.90 geared rear end. The original engine offered in this car was a 948cc inline 4 cylinder which has been replaced and upgraded to a more powerful 1275cc engine that wasn\'t available until years later. The mighty 1275cc engine has been updated with: electronic ignition, \"Pertronix\" distributor mapped to the engine, a mild cam, rebuilt 1 1/4\" SU Carbs, and a \"Pacesetter\" Header which really makes this a blast to drive. Other mechanical upgrades on the \'62 Midget MKI include: front disc brakes, converted single line 1967 master cylinder, new hydraulics with silicone brake fluid, converted to a \"Lucas\" alternator and negative ground, front sway bar, polyurethane bushings throughout, solid spring boxes, and 1 3/4\" exhaust system with RC40 resonator and muffler.
