The interior on this car is in excellent condition, minus the headliner needing to be replaced and the "body by fisher" door sill trim panels needing to be replaced as well. The radio works great, too!Note: not only does it have manual brakes, but manual steering as well!What it needs:Wheels (some of them are bent and cause vibration on the highway)A/C Compressor (if you really need A/C)Body work (fenders, lower quarters, doors). The underside isn't too bad, but the pinch welds will need to be redone eventually. Floor plans are clean. Panhard bar (slightly bent)Oil pan, Tranny pan, exhaust gaskets (will be doing them soon hopefully) The speedometer cable also "sqeaks". DO NOT LOWBALL ME. This is a perfectly drivable, mechanically sound car that needs a new owner who can afford to fix rust. Do not waste my time with absurdly low offers. Since the restoration the car has been meticulously maintained and driven sparingly - under 15,000 miles - NEVER in inclement weather and kept in a climate controlled facility. Everything works as it should - even the 8 track tape player. here is a super super cool hatchback olds omega project car. it only has 47,000 original miles and has some very cool options like high back bucket seats, full console with auto shifter, power disc brakes, 305 small block chevy engine with turbo 350 trans, fold down rear seat, these where actually real nice for camping in the back if you got the special tent GM offered for them. the interior is amazing with only a split on the drivers seam, the dash is perfect, alll the gauges work, car has new brake lines, gas lines, and new gas tank. car has nice glass, with nice trim, i have original owners manual, and title from the guy i bought it from. title is open for new registrants signature. i bought this as a project, never finished it and i just dont have a shop to work on it anymore. the car starts right up and purs like a kitten, issue is that there is water in the oil and oil in the water, not sure if it blew a head gasket or something. it will run like a dream till it gets hot and then it blows the upper rad hose. i really did not care because i have a perfect running 4 bolt 350 i was going to install in place of the current 305. anyways the 350 can be bought for $500 extra if you want. the trans shifts perfect. the body has had ametuer body work performed, but the rails trunk floor and floor pans are good and original. the quarters and door bottoms have been replaced , but they will need work for sure to make them right. the car has so much potential even with the very cool interior and sbc engine. i want someone else to enjoy it . asking a very fair $2500 or best offer. will assist in loading it for transport reasons. car does run fine for about 2-3 minutes enough to load it for sure. cashiers check or cash for balance due within 3 days. i can immediately mail the title once payment is clear. good luck.

Basically it’s a “stripe & badge delete” 442 that was conceived and built for a very specific, well heeled target market. The target market for the SX was bankers, lawyers, doctors and corporate types who could afford a top of the line luxury “high performance” car but did not necessarily want all the “showmanship” that came with stripes, spoilers and emblems. It was kind of a factory “sleeper”. The ONLY outward sign that this was something special was the SX emblem on the fenders and of course the signature 442 rear bumper and trumpet exhaust. Additionally, a very mid stall was added in the turbo 400 tranny rebuild. The end result is that “smooth” on demand power and torque that made the 442 and its 455 power plant legendary. Ultimate road trip car It has a TALL 2.73 highway gear that allows for low rev highway driving …. this car is the ultimate road trip car. NO high revs at highway speeds, NO annoying aggressive lope, NO overheating and NO bad habits of any kind. Just boat loads of civilized long legged power from the Olds 455 torque monster. Great History 2 Texas owners since new Sold new at Medor Olds in Fort Worth Texas to its first owner, James Ward who, prior to his death, sold it to the 2nd owner and a personal friend of mine, Mike Wisdom. Mike purchased the car approximately 16 years ago. This same friend (Mike Wisdom) and fellow Texan does high quality car restoration work and has done some work for me over the years. The original owner loved this car and after logging 130k miles he parked it some time in late 1992, early 1993 (…. see the last Texas Inspection Sticker in photos above dated 5/29/92). After retiring the car, Mr. Ward held on to it with dreams of restoring it to its former glory. In the late ‘90’s he ended up taking to my friend for a full restoration but, due to failing health, ultimately ended up selling his dream machine to my friend. Restored by 2nd owner Mike Wisdom rebuilt virtually everything on the car. His goal was two fold. To bring the car back to show room new condition and to boost the performance to be more in line with the 1970 442. The restoration was completed about 1 year ago and has less than 500 miles since completion (most of these 500 miles have been logged by me). It shows no evidence of wear and looks show room new. While the original miles on the car are just over 131k, I have listed it at 500 miles which is the miles on the car since a total restoration. In any event the car will be sold as mileage EXEMPT due to its age. NOTE: The top currently on the car is serviceable, however it does not present as nice as the rest of the car so it is currently scheduled to be REPLACED along with a new windshield as the current windshield has one rock chip. The top on the car is white and will be replaced with a white top. These items are scheduled and will be done prior to shipping the car to the new owner. Good condition PRIOR to restoration Prior to restoration the car was in good condition (never wrecked, no rust issues and completely unaltered). It had been in a dry Texas climate since new and driven by one adult owner who cherished the car. However, after 130k miles and 21 years of service, it was tired and in need of some love. Paint is dull, mostly in the white areas, some runs in the green paint can be found at the rear near the bumper and at the rocker panels. Chrome and trim is in good shape, pitting can be found on door handles and at taillight housings. Interior Interior overall is in good shape especially original painted two-tone dash. Steering wheel has fractures from age, front bench seat has lost padding at drivers side bottom. One stain found on passenger side front floor. Trunk looks solid with no rust found. Doors do have rust at the top where glass scrapers were located and two of the doors show rust at the bottom. Mechanical Engine starts easily and runs well. Manual steering and brakes take some effort but not surprising from a system of this era. Speedometer needle has broken and cable whines/hums while driving at speed. Engine does have an oil leak from what looks like the rear main seal.
