Runs and drives, I believe it is all original except body work, carpet and paint job with {original color I think they named Richard Petty Blue} was done in the 1980's. The front windshield and rear window leak because of rust around them. The dash has cracks in it, the door panels has rips in them, big hole in drivers floor board that you cannot see because it is covered with a metal sign with carpet on top of it. Battery that belongs with car is bad, but will have good battery installed to check the car out, but does not go with the car! I don't see any cracked or broken glass.Side and Door Windows all go up and down. In 1966 the styling for the Belvedere line was still wide, sleek, and clean. In 1966, The Satellite was the top of the line option for the Belvedere, ahead of the Belvedere I and II models. One year later it would become the middle of the line option being replaced by the GTX model. This 1966 Plymouth Satellite is a stunning example of what $2,695 would get you in 1966. Today it sits in the correct coat of white paint, has a completely restored interior, and now packs a little more power under the hood than it did when it left the factory. Hardtop P4X: Black vinyl interior WW1: White lower and upper body color At the front of the body you will find quad headlights within the grille that is made up of horizontal slats. Below the grille a massive front bumper wraps around the front nose. At the start of the hood, just above the grille, PLYMOUTH emblems sit below a hood ornament that stands with the numbers 440 giving away what lies in wait under the hood. At the fenders you'll find the Satellite Commando badging below chrome trim that runs the length of the body. The chrome door handles, chrome side mirrors, and the top and bottom chrome trim look fantastic and show no signs of wear. As you make your way to the back of the car you'll notice how the fuel cover is made up of a Plymouth emblem that you twist to remove the cover. The rear of the car is just as sleek as the rest as there are no cutouts for the horizontal taillights, only the license plate. The satellite emblem above the rear bumper also features a red white and blue emblem along with it. Finishing off the incredible look of this Satellite is the massive rear bumper and the dual exhausts that exit underneath it. Even though the Satellite originally left the factory with a 383ci V8, today if you lift the hood on this top of the line Belvedere you will see an engine bay that has been stuffed with a 440ci six pack V8. The 440 features an aluminum intake manifold, cast iron heads, and cast iron exhaust manifolds. Above the aluminum intake are the three two-barrel carburetors that feed the massive engine. Spent gasses travel from the headers through Raptor mufflers and out the previously mentioned dual exhausts to create a nice rumble for the 440. The 440 wears a 4006630 casting, and a build date of July 18th of 1977. In front of the engine is a massive radiator that is responsible for keeping the engine cool. Under the Satellite is just as impressive as the rest of the vehicle. At the front of the Plymouth is the bottom of the 440 that has been painted in Hemi orange. Bolted to the block is a 4-speed manual transmission that sends power down the driveshaft to the 8 rear axle with 3.23 rear gears. Manual drum brakes can be found at every corner and are responsible for slowing the vehicle. In front of those brakes the car sits on a set of Chrome Magnum 500 rims that have been wrapped in Remington radial rubber. Pop open the doors and you'll find a completely restored black vinyl interior. The interior is extremely spacious and features four bucket seats that show no wear. In front of the driver's seat is the original dash that houses the 110 MPH speedometer. Over the course of the Satellite's life someone attached a Sunpro RPM gauge to the steering column to help with those shift points on the 4-speed. Above the seats is a black headliner that is in fantastic shape. Throughout the interior, more chrome Satellite badging can be found with the red, white, and blue emblem along with it. Brand new carpet stretches across the floor and is covered by Satellite floor mats. This 1965 Plymouth Satellite is a pretty unassuming car, a cool hardtop in awesome '60s colors, but you'd never think that there was a predator lurking within. Not quite a pure sleeper, but it's a subtle factory hot rod that hits all the right notes with a 440 cubic inch big block and a 4-speed waiting inside. Chrysler marketers weren't that talented in the paint naming department, but the KK1 "Medium Turquoise" paint on this car is indeed its original color and it really works well. It's bright, clean, and unassuming, perfect for a car with serious blasting powder under the hood. The sleek lines of the '65 Satellite mean that you really need to nail the bodywork, and with straight panels and crisp details like that slashing character line down the sides, the guys who painted this one really got it right. There are definitely some signs of age and use, but the basics are excellent, and the overall patina helps with the low-key demeanor of this sleepy-looking hardtop. You already know that we love the cantilevered hardtops that Chrysler was turning out during this period, which gives the car an industrial-strength look that's both attractive and a little bit intimidating. The Satellite wasn't big on flash, but the chrome bumpers, bright stainless, and nicely finished tail panel all contribute to its clean overall look. The matching turquoise interior is every bit as stylish, perhaps even more-so, than the bodywork, and it defines the minimalist style that Mopar delivered. It's clean and uncluttered, but the patterns on the seats make it look upscale and the dashboards on these cars have always been somewhat remarkable in their design. A set of auxiliary gauges have been installed under the dash in the usual location, and the only real demerit inside are some holes on top of the dash, presumably where auxiliary gauges used to live. You also get tinted glass, which was still a rare option in 1965 and yes, that's a 4-speed manual there on the transmission tunnel, so you know this sucker was built for combat. The only other major option is a factory AM radio, but the engine sounds so good you won't even miss your favorite station. The trunk is massive and includes a new mat and a full-sized spare with matching redline radial. The big 440 cubic inch V8 is a neat fit in the Satellite's engine bay and it's so clean and tidy that you can see where all the money was spent. Mopar Performance dress-up parts work well with the bright aluminum Edelbrock intake, custom braided stainless fuel lines for the Holley double-pumper, and Hemi Orange paint on the block, so it looks fast before you even turn the key. You know it was built for speed because it has neither power steering nor power brakes, but you'll probably find they're not really necessary and the car is easy to drive just about anywhere. Trick headers feed a brand new exhaust system, and as long as you're under there, be sure to check out the new gas tank as well. It's not detailed for show, but it doesn't have any glaring problems and in a car that you'll want to drive, having a spotless undercarriage isn't really an advantage anyway. Classic Magnum 500 wheels with fresh BFGoodrich redline radials complete the period performance look. TITLE: Clear title in hand with a VIN that matches the car. HISTORY: This is all that I can verify, car was sold new in Clark Washington, it went to California and lived for many years, I think it came to the east in 2011 and I think changed hands 3 times. DOCUMENTATION: Original warranty card is still in place, document showing that car was registered in California, owners manual. WHAT IS THE ENGINE? Its a sweet running 383 cubic inch Magnum, it has plenty of power, it starts good, it has no knoks or rattles, we think it has been rebuilt once, but have no documentation. Hoses and belts look good, the carburetor is a 4 barrell Edelbrock. The engine sounds like it has a mild cam, its just right. WHAT IS THE TRANSMISSION? It a good shifting automatic, I think Plymouth calls it a 727. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its the original, it has no whines or unwanted nosises, it has a good highway gearing. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives very good, it has power steering. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? They are good for 4 wheel drums, they stop nice, but it is not power brakes. HOW IS THE PAINT? I think the car has been painted one time, it the nice daffodil yellow. It has no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. The car is straight when you look down the sides and the gaps are decent. The paint is good, but it has never been buffed, a good buffing would make it look even better. Owner did not have the door jambs and undersides painted, they are the original paint. A couple of very tiny chips that have been touched up. HOW IS THE CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK? Very nice over all, the side trim is good, the grill and trunk insert nice, vent window frame nice, front bumper good, rear bumber has several rust pits on the top side. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The black seat covers are nice with no wear and no fading, the head-liner looks like new, door panels good, dash good, steering wheel good, carpet good, but starting to fade. some minor scuffs on the painted trim. WHAT IS THE EXHAUST? The car sounds great, it has the deep/loud Muscle car sound. Engine still has the big cast manifolds, pipes are good, muffler good, they look like Flow Master, but I saw no name on them. HOW ARE THE TIRES AND WHEELS? I think MOPAR called these rallies, they are in good condition. The tires are good red line G70/14, they are bias-belted and look just right on the car, modern radials will ride and handle better, but I like the way these look. HOW IS THE GLASS? Its all nice the windshield must have been replaced because it too good. HOW IS THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPPING? It all looks good to me other than the vertical divider between the front and back window. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The domb lights work, the consol lights work, the tail lights work, the head lights work, the turn signals work, the brake lights work. The fender turn signal indicator work, they are cool. DO THE GAUGES WORK? The gas gauge works, the oil is old school in a pod under the dash. HOW IS THE BODY? I think its as good as you will get, the floor and all panels look original to me. They have thin under coating that did the job. DOES THE CAR HAVE A JACK AND SPARE? Yes, the spare is under the panel in the trunk. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT? The frame and metal all looks straight, I see no sigins of a accident. WIPERS WORK! PARKING BRAKE WORKS! HORN IS NOT WORKING! WAHT THE ABOUT THE CAR? I think it has a very solid body, it runs and drives good, it looks great. WHATS THE WORST ABOUT THE CAR? TITLE: Clear title in hand with a VIN that matches the car. HISTORY: This is all that I can verify, car was sold new in Clark Washington, it went to California and lived for many years, I think it came to the east in 2011 and I think changed hands 3 times. DOCUMENTATION: Original warranty card is still in place, document showing that car was registered in California, owners manual. WHAT IS THE ENGINE? Its a sweet running 383 cubic inch Magnum, it has plenty of power, it starts good, it has no knoks or rattles, we think it has been rebuilt once, but have no documentation. Hoses and belts look good, the carburetor is a 4 barrell Edelbrock. The engine sounds like it has a mild cam, its just right. WHAT IS THE TRANSMISSION? It a good shifting automatic, I think Plymouth calls it a 727. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its the original, it has no whines or unwanted nosises, it has a good highway gearing. HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I think it drives very good, it has power steering. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? They are good for 4 wheel drums, they stop nice, but it is not power brakes. HOW IS THE PAINT? I think the car has been painted one time, it the nice daffodil yellow. It has no dents, no dings and no rust bubbles. The car is straight when you look down the sides and the gaps are decent. The paint is good, but it has never been buffed, a good buffing would make it look even better. Owner did not have the door jambs and undersides painted, they are the original paint. A couple of very tiny chips that have been touched up. HOW IS THE CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK? Very nice over all, the side trim is good, the grill and trunk insert nice, vent window frame nice, front bumper good, rear bumber has several rust pits on the top side. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The black seat covers are nice with no wear and no fading, the head-liner looks like new, door panels good, dash good, steering wheel good, carpet good, but starting to fade. some minor scuffs on the painted trim. WHAT IS THE EXHAUST? The car sounds great, it has the deep/loud Muscle car sound. Engine still has the big cast manifolds, pipes are good, muffler good, they look like Flow Master, but I saw no name on them. HOW ARE THE TIRES AND WHEELS? I think MOPAR called these rallies, they are in good condition. The tires are good red line G70/14, they are bias-belted and look just right on the car, modern radials will ride and handle better, but I like the way these look. HOW IS THE GLASS? Its all nice the windshield must have been replaced because it too good. HOW IS THE RUBBER WEATHER STRIPPING? It all looks good to me other than the vertical divider between the front and back window. DO THE LIGHTS WORK? The domb lights work, the consol lights work, the tail lights work, the head lights work, the turn signals work, the brake lights work. The fender turn signal indicator work, they are cool. DO THE GAUGES WORK? The gas gauge works, the oil is old school in a pod under the dash. HOW IS THE BODY? I think its as good as you will get, the floor and all panels look original to me. They have thin under coating that did the job. DOES THE CAR HAVE A JACK AND SPARE? Yes, the spare is under the panel in the trunk. HAS THE CAR EVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT? The frame and metal all looks straight, I see no sigins of a accident. WIPERS WORK! PARKING BRAKE WORKS! HORN IS NOT WORKING! WAHT THE ABOUT THE CAR? I think it has a very solid body, it runs and drives good, it looks great. WHATS THE WORST ABOUT THE CAR? For sale in our St. Louis showroom is beautiful 1966 Plymouth Satellite convertible. Finished in a fresh coat of Morning Glory Yellow paint, with a new black convertible power top, and black vinyl interior. Options on this 1966 Plymouth Satellite convertible include: AM Radio with Power Antenna, Automatic Convertible Top, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Raised White Letter Radial Tires, and Magnum 500 Rally Wheels. When the larger Plymouth Fury was introduced in 1965 on Chrysler\'s full size C platform the Belvedere name was moved to the new mid size line. The Belvedere Satellite was the top of the line trim level above the Belvedere I and II. The Satellite was only available in a 2 door hard top or a convertible, and bucket seats with a center console were standard, along with a V8. The Satellite remained the top of the line trim level until 1967, when the GTX came alone and claimed the top spot. The Satellite had a production run from 1965 to 1974, at which time the Fury was moved to the mid size line, and took the Satellite\'s place.The original 318 CID V8 in this Satellite convertible has been replaced by a 440 CID V8, although the 318 engine is still available with the sale, along with the original transmission if so desired. The current 440 is bolted to a 727 automatic transmission. When looking at the side profile of this Satellite you notice that the top and bottom lines have chrome trim running nearly the entire length of the car, and the Magnum 500 rally wheels help produce an awesome sporty look. Up front the Plymouth name stands tall and proud along the length of the hood, the single headlights are a companied with the parking lights, which are pulling double duty serving as the blinkers as well, and are embedded in the grille. Out back you are greeted again with the Plymouth name, which meets up perfect to the tail lights, and below that you see the custom chrome tip exhaust protruding from the rear chrome bumper. The new black convertible top looks great up if you choose to use it, and the black vinyl interior feature a unique \"Western Scroll\" which resembled a tooled leather appearance.
