This 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible is an excellent driver, easy on the eyes and powerful with its Tri Power equipped 389 cubic inch “Tempest 425” V8! This particular 1960 Pontiac Bonneville appears to have benefited from an older repaint and looks great. The correct, beautiful Coronado Red paint is in great condition with only minor imperfections to speak of. There are two 1-1.5” scratches on either side of the center of the hood but overall, the paint does still show well. Both front and rear bumpers are in great condition along with all stainless accents and emblems, showing no notable imperfections. The power, black convertible top is in great condition with no signs of wear or tear to be found. The red convertible boot is also in great condition and fits snug. Inside, the handsome, correct Pontiac Tri-Color Signature red vinyl seats are in great condition with only minimal wear showing which is expected from original leather seating. The carpets, door panels, dash and carpets are all equally as nice. It should be noted that the windshield wipers are currently inoperable. The dashboard is original, shows no cracking or fade and still houses the original gauges that look great! There is also an original Wonderbar AM radio in the dash. This one of a kind, custom convertible \'69 Bonneville is over the top and draws attention wherever it goes. This custom 1969 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible is powered by its rebuilt original numbers matching 428 CID V8 engine and is backed by a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission with roughly 300 miles since rebuild. The numbers matching 428 CID V8 was professionally rebuild being bored .30 over with a nice set of aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads and Intake with a set of headers running to a custom dual 3 1/2\" exhaust system with Flowmaster Mufflers and is putting out roughly 500 horsepower. Also under the hood a billet aluminum serpentine belt drive system has been added along with a Meziere Enterprises Electric Water Pump, Chrome A/C Compressor, Aluminum Radiator with Electric Fan, Billet MSD Distributor, MSD 6A Ignition Box, and Stainless Braided Fuel and Transmission Lines. The TH400 transmission was also rebuilt and with a mild stall converter installed makes this a very streetable machine. With the additional power under the hood, braking and handling were also a concern and have been upgraded with Corvette 4-wheel disc brakes with 4 piston calipers and drilled and slotted rotors, a custom hydraulic brake booster, stainless braided brake hoses, and heavy duty sway bars front and rear. Rear air shocks were installed in the rear which gives you options of ride height and feel to your liking. The ultimate in '60s chic, the Bonneville is for guys who have it made but don't much feel like driving around in their dad's stuffy Cadillac, and it's got the power to back it up. Painting it black only makes it look that much more massive, maybe about a city block long, but Pontiac designers nailed it with this one. Black is this car's original color, so you know the guy who ordered a loaded triple-black Bonneville ragtop back in 1963 had his life together. It's in great shape, not perfect, but certainly nice enough to wear black paint with pride and no glaring issues show up in the keeps-no-secrets finish. The doors fit well and the side trim lines up neatly, so you know they spent the time to get it right when it was time to put it back together. The stacked headlights were a Pontiac look that continued for years and influenced the entire industry, while the beautiful, almost delicate taillights give this car the look of something far more expensive. Bright chrome details provide just the right amount of contrast, but not so much that they make the car look heavy. The Pontiac guys got this one right! Black bench seats provide enough room for six in the full-sized B-body ragtop, and in the top-of-the-line Bonneville, luxury came standard. The seats remain in good condition with some signs of age and wear, but the door panels look very good, the carpets are dark and not particularly worn, and that's real walnut veneer on the dash. A wide speedometer is directly ahead of the driver, but a trio of auxiliary gauges is in the center of the dash and looks extremely sporty, making the Bonneville the ultimate luxury/muscle machine. An artfully designed steering wheel makes you feel important when you're at the helm, and the car is optioned up with power windows and a power convertible top that mean you don't even have to get out of your seat to enjoy open-air motoring. The factory radio is still in the dash, too, and the gorgeous panel ahead of the passenger with "BONNEVILLE" spelled out in block letters is extremely cool. The black convertible top is in excellent shape and with a black boot it gives the big convertible a very sleek look. And you know it's made for road trips, because there's a giant trunk with original mats and a full-sized spare tire. Pontiac's 389 cubic inch V8 was the top engine in 1963 and provides the kind of effortless power you'd expect from a car like this. The body is nice and straight with original panels. No rust issues. The blue exterior paint is 90% to 95% original and still holds a great luster and shine. Engine bay is un-restored and very presentable. Trunk compartment is immaculate with original mat. Original spare tire and 5th rally wheel appear to have never been used! Interior is stunning! It looks very close to what you would have seen 40 years ago! Seats, door panels, dash etc are not torn, faded, cracked, etc. Trim is nice and clean, not worn or dried out. The padded Landau top is bright and supple, not cracked, faded, or worn. Car is nice and clean underneath as well. Clearly this car was cared for and cherished throughout its life! Of course as with any used car, there are minor flaws such as door dings, small scratches, etc. However, this makes a better appearance than many late model used cars I have seen. A couple of upgrades have been made: 1. Original AM/FM radio was replaced by a more up-to-date AM/FM/CD Stereo. This unit utilizes the original dash opening for the radio, as well as the original speakers. I don't see any evidence of anything having been cut or butchered for this replacement. If you didn't know this type of stereo wasn't offered back in 1977, you would think it came this way from the factory. 2. A key less entry system was added with remote key fob. This operates the door locks and the power trunk release. It is all integrated to the original power locks and trunk. Again, this was all professionally done. You can either use this or the original keys and power switches to lock and unlock. Again, if you didn't know better, you would think the car came this way. Other than the remote fob in your hand, there is no evidence of the upgrade. Mechanically, this car is smooth and strong, as you would expect. The Pontiac 400 engine has lots of power and torque. Transmission shifts smoothly and crisply. Driving this car is like sitting in your living room, even at 75MPH! Steering and handling are great! Full sized GM cars from this era were well known for their ride and comfort. This example is no exception! I drove it on a 210 mile trip in December with no issues. It did not smoke, use oil etc, and surprisingly I averaged a bit over 18MPG on regular unleaded gas! I would not be afraid to drive anywhere I needed to go! Maintenance items that have been replaced include: muffler, tail pipe, battery, alternator, radiator, hoses, brakes, master cylinder, tune up, and carburetor rebuilt. Tires are Michelin Radials with approximately 50% tread. Additionally, A/C system has been flushed and converted to 134A Freon. It is nice and cold. This is a great classic that won't break the bank! You can start to enjoy it right away and take the whole family in comfort to shows and cruise-ins. Would be a great choice for old car tours as well. Original Survivor cars that have been well kept are the up and coming thing in the collector car hobby. Remember, anyone can throw gobs of money at a derelict and restore it, but THEY ARE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE! If someone GAVE you a project car, you could not even begin to restore it for what you can buy this nice original for! I have good title. Don't miss this one! The car is in it's original state, it has never been modified with any hacked in electronics, no 'performance' parts, no loud exhaust systems or anything that would take away from the original design of the car. Please take time to look at the 85+ photos, I have taken several of the undercarriage to show how clean the car is, it still has the original 'chalk markings' and manufacturers tags on the various components from the assembly line, truly remarkable. The body of the car is very straight and clean, there are a few blemishes on the rear bumper that are not overly noticeable but other than that there are no dings, dents or scratches anywhere on the car. The front bumper had a few scuffs down low so I had that professionally refinished, now, there is hardly even a stone chip on the front of the car. Glass is clear all the way around with no tinting, windshield is in great shape with no pitting, chips or excessive wear. All lights and lenses are intact and in good working order, even the fog lamps are in good shape and functional. The car has a set of matching Michelins and they are not new but show approximately 55% tread life remaining and they are worn evenly indicating that the car is aligned properly. The chromed factory alloys look great on the car and are in fantastic condition with no curb rash or chemical burns, all center caps are in place as well. The interior of the car is equally as nice, this car belonged to a non smoker so it smells of fresh leather, no foul or tobacco odors and definitely no burns in any of the carpet or fabric. Dash, door panels, console and headliner are all intact as are the illuminated visors. Leather shows just minimal wear and at that, really only on the driver's seat but I have seen cars with even less mileage that have showed more wear than this car, it's really nice. The rear seats have a fold down armrest as well as a through-way for skis or other long items to pass through the trunk into the inside of the car. The car has all the original mats, the driver's mat shows some wear from where the heel rests in front of the pedals but if you are super picky you can replace that for just a few bucks. I wanted to keep all the original stuff with the car so I did not bother to replace it. The car has nice cold A/C and good heat too. Mechanically the car is sound, the engine is smooth, powerful and quiet and does not exhibit any leakage. Transmission shifts properly and the car holds the road very well. The supercharger seems healthy as indicated by the boost gauge and this car is a real blast to drive. Also noteworthy is that there are no check engine lights or any warning indicators on in the dash. If you are a fan of these Bonnevilles, don't miss this opportunity to own a really nice one. Cars that are this complete, in this condition, fully equipped with a spotless history, low mileage and 100% corrosion free sheet metal are getting increasingly difficult to find. The only thing close to this one here on Ebay is a really nice 55k mile black SLE and that seller is aking for $10k, it's not even close to what this car is as the Supercharged models command alot more and I'm only asking $8450. Not only is this the most desirable SSEi Supercharged model, it is in really nice condition with just 53k original miles from a clean, corrosion free climate and has a very nice color combination. Also, this car is as complete as you could ever imagine with all keys (including the original valet key), all remotes, all factory floor mats, owners manuals, On Star supplement package, CD changer cartridge (brand new, never used), cargo net AND a Pontiac accessory kit which includes an ice scraper, emergency spotlight, gloves, rags, tie downs, glow stick, poncho and more PLUS an air line that plugs into the on-board compressor! The car is fully equipped as well, it has chromed alloy wheels, dual power seats w/lumbar support (driver's side memory), power glass moonroof, Monsoon Premium Audio w/AM-FM, CD PLUS CD changer in trunk, steering wheel mounted audio controls, heads up display, full leather, on board air compressor, dual zone 'driver/passenger' climate control, Home Link built in garage door opener, traction control, On Star and all the rest of the normal power options. The car is in it's original state, it has never been modified with any hacked in electronics, no 'performance' parts, no loud exhaust systems or anything that would take away from the original design of the car. Please take time to look at the 85+ photos, I have taken several of the undercarriage to show how clean the car is, it still has the original 'chalk markings' and manufacturers tags on the various components from the assembly line, truly remarkable. The body of the car is very straight and clean, there are a few blemishes on the rear bumper that are not overly noticeable but other than that there are no dings, dents or scratches anywhere on the car. The front bumper had a few scuffs down low so I had that professionally refinished, now, there is hardly even a stone chip on the front of the car. Glass is clear all the way around with no tinting, windshield is in great shape with no pitting, chips or excessive wear. All lights and lenses are intact and in good working order, even the fog lamps are in good shape and functional. The car has a set of matching Michelins and they are not new but show approximately 55% tread life remaining and they are worn evenly indicating that the car is aligned properly. The chromed factory alloys look great on the car and are in fantastic condition with no curb rash or chemical burns, all center caps are in place as well. The interior of the car is equally as nice, this car belonged to a non smoker so it smells of fresh leather, no foul or tobacco odors and definitely no burns in any of the carpet or fabric. Dash, door panels, console and headliner are all intact as are the illuminated visors. Leather shows just minimal wear and at that, really only on the driver's seat but I have seen cars with even less mileage that have showed more wear than this car, it's really nice. The rear seats have a fold down armrest as well as a through-way for skis or other long items to pass through the trunk into the inside of the car. The car has all the original mats, the driver's mat shows some wear from where the heel rests in front of the pedals but if you are super picky you can replace that for just a few bucks. I wanted to keep all the original stuff with the car so I did not bother to replace it. The car has nice cold A/C and good heat too. Mechanically the car is sound, the engine is smooth, powerful and quiet and does not exhibit any leakage. Transmission shifts properly and the car holds the road very well. The supercharger seems healthy as indicated by the boost gauge and this car is a real blast to drive. Also noteworthy is that there are no check engine lights or any warning indicators on in the dash. If you are a fan of these Bonnevilles, don't miss this opportunity to own a really nice one. Cars that are this complete, in this condition, fully equipped with a spotless history, low mileage and 100% corrosion free sheet metal are getting increasingly difficult to find. The only thing close to this one here on Ebay is a really nice 55k mile black SLE and that seller is aking for $10k, it's not even close to what this car is as the Supercharged models command alot more and I'm only asking $8450.
