This car is gorgeous and reasonably priced. This car is a true, Y-82, W-72 Bandit as documented by PHS. It does not retain its original matching numbers engine but it does have a Pontiac 400, 4-Speed block and is in great shape. This car drives great and has a functional shaker scoop. We have never seen that on a 77 Trans Am but it works and looks cool when you punch the accelerator. The car runs strong and will easily smoke the tires but drives very nicely down the road if you are taking out for a weekend cruise. Want to use it as your daily driver? The factory air conditioning cools very nicely and the car does not overheat. Even in the 100F+ temperatures we have been having here in Houston, Texas. I took this car out for several drives of 20 miles or more and the car performed very well. I stayed very cool with the windows rolled up. Also, the aftermarket sound system plays very nicely as well. This car is a great daily driver and can be taken to any car show where you will be proud to show it off. The car is not perfect but the car is in very good condition. The car is solid with no major rust issues anywhere to be found. We would probably repaint the rear bumper if we keep it for the longer term and the T-tops are not in perfect shape but they are original to the car. The interior is in very good restored condition. The dash is in excellent shape with no cracks that we have seen anywhere on it. There are just too many great things to say about this car that I am sure we left something out. This car is numbers matching and still retains its original engine and transmission. The seats are original and still in great shape. The carpet, headliner and package tray have been replaced. The car is an original Brewster Green 455 car as verified by PHS and as shown on the cowl tag. Code 48. The car was purchased from the original owner out of Eugene, Oregon and the car is still titled in the original owners name. The miles are believed to be actual miles and show just under 32000 original miles on the odometer. There are many receipts documenting the maintenance work done to the car over the years and showing the mileage. According to the paperwork and receipts, the car was repainted in 1994. The car had the graphics painted on the hood but that painted, hood decal was removed and a correct, new bird from Phoenix Graphics was installed on the hood this year. The car comes with its original owners manuals showing the original owner and all of the paperwork and title show the original owners name on it. The car came to us with lowered springs in the front and lowering blocks on the rear leaf springs. We felt the car was too low so we replaced the front springs with correct, springs for the car. We can leave the car in the normal position or can lower the car back down in the front since we kept the lowered springs. Your choice. We are more "Trans Am Purists" here at Carlyle Motors but everyones taste is different. The undercarriage is still original and had a light undercoating installed back when new but the original, red oxide primer can still be seen in various places under the car. The car apparently was lowered and had side pipes at one time in its life but now there is just a correct, dual exhaust on the car. It sounds great and drives great and best of all, it is a numbers matching, Brewster Green 455 and has had only 1 owner since new. Since it is a West Coast car, there are no signs of visible rust on the car and it is very solid and the paint is still in very, very good shape. (John Waynes Production Company) customized in 1975 by Barris Kustom - The last daily, family driver used by John Wayne and was customized by George Barris at Barris Kustom, Mr. Wayne did not want to take his hat off to get into the car, so George Barris raised the roof - Dash plaque that verifies this is a Barris Kustom and dated 1975 - Eye patch worn by John Wayne from the personal collection of his son Michael Wayne accompanies the sell of this car. Comes with Letter of Authenticity from Gretchen Wayne and Batjac Productions. - Frame-on restoration, interior was removed and only the carpet was replaced - Remaining interior was reinstalled, this was Mr. Wayne’s daily driver and one of the last car he touched - Dash plaque that verifies this is a Barris Kustom restoration and dated 2014, front fenders also have the Barris Crests in place - 455 CI V-8 engine, Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission, power steering and power front disc brakes - Options include air conditioning, power windows and drivers seat, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, AM/FM stereo with tape deck - One of the rarest options available on Grand Villes and other full-sized Pontiacs during this period was the adjustable brake and accelerator pedals offered from 1974 to 1976 - 127" wheelbase and total length of 231" - Curb weight is 5,300 pounds, 200 HP at 3,500 RPM - This is the heaviest car built by Pontiac and has a Clamshell tailgate - The car was designed by Bill Mitchell - This car received TONS OF TV TIME AND PRESS COVERAGE DURING THE LIVE AUCTION. The blue and white really make a nice combination. The white interior is in excellent shape. The 389, Tri-Power Engine starts, runs and drives great and the engine bay is detailed nicely. The engine is not the original engine to the car. Originally, it was a 389, four barrel car but was changed to a 389 Tri-Power. The vintage air blow nice and cold for those hot days and the vintage stereo plays very well. The car is just all around great. Nice undercarriage. Nice exhaust system. Very nice and solid sheet metal. No rust to be found. The car currently has window tint which helps keep the car cool in the summer but it can be removed at the buyers request. If you are looking for a very nice 1966 GTO to go cruising in or take to the local cars shows, this is the car for you. Turn key, ready to go now! The car has been fully restored inside and out. This car has no rust and any sheet metal that had any rust was either replaced or repaired during the restoration of this car. The body is straight and the lines and gaps on this car are excellent. The engine bay is beautifully detailed and this engine really packs a punch! The horsepower is estimated at 400 to 450 at the fly wheel and when this car starts up, there is no doubt that this is a powerful engine. The 455 engine in the car today is not the original 455 engine that came in the car but this 455 engine far exceeds what would have been stock back in 1973. If you want that muscle car rumble and 455 power, this is your car. We are calling this car an SD 455 Tribute and it looks exactly like the Real 73 SD 455 we just sold. Plus, the A/C was just serviced and this car has been completely gone through and everything works as it should. We even rebuilt the clock with quartz movement so this car is ready to go in any climate. The interior has been fully restored and is near perfect, showroom quality. From the carpet and seats to the headliner, this car was restored with very much attention to detail. The deluxe interior is in excellent condition. The Pypes dual exhaust system gives this car a very nice muscle car rumble. The car drives without issues and can be seen and test driven at our facility in Katy, Texas. The car is an original air conditioned car according to the PHS documentation and all the A/C system has just been completely serviced and works great! It really does have COLD A/C! The car also has an aftermarket stereo system that plays very nicely. The suspension was completely gone through and looks to be all brand new right down to the body bushings, leaf springs and sway bars. This car drives great! The wheels are brand new, correct Rally II wheels and the tires are brand new, BF Goodrich, T/A Radials. 255/60R15s all the way around plus the spare.
