1989 ASC Mclaren Grand Prix Turbo Coupe. This is a very rare car, only 749 built in 1989. In 1989 Pontiac completely overhauled the Grand Prix with ASC McLaren's help, resulting in a limited series of ASC McLaren turbo coupes which carried more aggressive cladding, hood louvers, and a 205-hp edition of GM's 3.1-litre OHV V6.Here is a great old school video of MotorWeek's review of the car in 1990 with host John Davis. The video is half way down the page:'DESCRIPTION:• Car runs well and has brand new tires with less than 2000 miles on them.• No leaks at all from the motor or transmission.• Paint on the car is in great condition and is very shiny/glossy, except for a very few spots where clear coat is thinning. There is a small area on the hood where paint is coming off.• Car has the dealer installed rear spoiler, which has some paint fade as well.• Interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears in the leather. The leather has been treated with professional leather protectant to preserve it, so the leather is supple and not cracking at all.• Car was never driven in winter• A/C just recharged this week, so blowing nice and cold• Car was stored in heated garage for last 5 years...I have it out now and am driving it to enjoy it a bit before it is sold • These cars were Pontiac's first change to FWD from the legacy rear wheel drive Grand Prix's of the early to mid 80's. The most notable new features for the 1989 model year included heads-up display, ABS and an electronically controlled dash(which is known to have some intermittent problems), since this car was literally one of the first 750 cars built with this new technology. The 'low fuel' orange gas warning light comes on(even though the gas gauge itself is working normally and shows that there is plenty of fuel in the tank). Here is a really cool car for the money and lot's of fun to drive! This is a 2007 Grand Prix GT with the great 3800 V-6 and in the GT model it is supercharged. It is lot's of fun to drive and very dependable and economical as well. It has a nice clean Carfax report showing no accidents and Carfax values it at $6650! The exterior looks great with no dents, scrapes or rust. The paint has a nice deep shine and it is a grey- beige color. The factory aluminum wheels look great with no corrosion and the tires are near new and matching to help provide a smooth ride. The underneath is nice and clean as well and it still has the original exhaust with dual outlets for a sporty look and sound. The interior too looks great and there are no stains. The leather seats are in very nice shape both front and rear and the leather is nice and soft. On the driver's seat is a small three inch tear, (looks like someone left something in their pocket), it's not bad at all but there. The rest of the interior is in near new condition and obviously very well cared for. Bought this car at estate sale from original owner , she bought it new in new Philadelphia ohio as demo1/22/86 with18000 miles on it. it now has 28000 after 29 years. it has never been it accident (her son told me this) drivers side rear quarter has scratch on it and was blended in by dealer. I couldn't tell for 2 days until I had it outside in certain light, but looks pretty good. small spot of rust on trunk under stripe. I could fix it easy it I had original stripe package. Her neighbor said car hasn't been driven in a long time. I put a can of seafoam in it and I have drivin it about 200 miles, runs pretty good, ac compressor good but needs r38 (not cold) tires good, brakes good, trans good, headliner has a couple of small bubbles and mushy, hasn't been buffed but paint pretty good, has a couple of spots but should mostly buff out, cruise works, sterio equalizer works, power windows work, has a couple of small dins, these cars are really starting to be collectable, straight old original car..
