However I would not call it violent as this car is smooth, both in looks and performance. It was restored right at 12,000 miles ago spending it's reborn life in sunny Southern California where we purchased it. You have to admire the restorer of this car to refrain from just making another GTO clone. Not that there is anything wrong with a GTO clone done right but lets give some love to one of the coolest name plates on a car of the sixties. The body is solid with a beautiful Intense Indigo hue over a nice west cost body. The paint is not totally flawless but still shows very well with an excellent shine. It is accented with nice trim, chrome, and tinted glass. Look closely and you will see the original Tempest exclusive upper molding that runs the length of the body. It was painted over, then pin striped for a more stealth look. The stance of this car is awesome but can easily be lowered or raised to your taste with the push of a button, activating the air ride suspension. The controls are located in the glove box so they are easily accessible. The heart of a Trans Am lurks under the hood with a 1987 LT1 350 V-8 mated to a 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission that delivers the power to a posi-track rear end filled with 3:55 gears. It fires right up with the multiport fuel injection and creates smooth power and terrific cruising. A front runner system from March was employed to cut down noise, vibration, and harshness. It sure does perform well and looks great with all the polished hardware. Power 4 wheel disc brakes bring it to a halt for sure footed driving. The custom stitched interior features one off seat cover and door panel fabrics. The headliner is nice and a matching full set of seat belts were installed. The original dash was filled with Dakota digital gauges. A tilt column has a custom steering wheel attached with a smaller diameter wood veneer finish. Vintage AC/Heat keeps you comfortable and power operated front windows come in handy. The trunk is nice with matching carpet in lieu of a plaid vinyl mat. 1969 Pontiac LeMans Convertible ORIGINAL COLOR: Lime Light Green Metallic on Dark Green Glossy InteriorORIGINAL ENGINE: STRAIGHT 6 CYLINDER This car is equipped with a Date correct 1969 Pontiac 350 and has a 2 barrel carb. The engine runs. The brake line leaks in the rear so brakes dont work. The car has the original 4 wheel drum brakes still on it. The power top does work properly with the switch on the dash. The passenger side rear window does not roll up but is there and in place, all other windows work. Doors shut good and work properly. The ignition lock set is not there (*Car starts with push button). The Wisconsin TITLE is clean and clear. While loading with forklift pushing forks through front end of the car it was lightly smacked with one of the forks on the passenger side of the frame right behind the front wheel but is otherwise in good solid condition. I have experience selling classic cars on eBay in the past and can help you out with whatever you need. This Pontiac would make a great candidate for some one whom is meticulas and wanting to do a restoration their way and their way only... whether that be a GTO Clone or an all out OEM Original Restoration this car is an excellent base to start with. I have decided to offer up for sale my 1971 classic pontiac muscle car. Over time i have made it into a potent street machine, currently setup as a streetlight brawler. With a 455, 3.90 gears, a rumpy cam, and lots of torque, it can be a ton of fun. Don't let the gears scare you, it's a unique car with GM's only sideloader OD trans, so you can still do some highway with it. EVERYTHING has been upgraded or touched at some point in the last few years. There really isn't an option that it lacks, everything is clean and it presents and drives well. It rides well and is tight, corners tight, and sits low. When i buy parts, i buy good solid well performing parts, as evidenced by the fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, etc you'll find on this car. This is not another 350/400 cu in automatic a body with OK paint and a nasty engine bay, or with slick paint but a crap interior. None of this car is a 10/10, but every aspect of it is an 8/10 or more. The only couple minor issues are outlined below. If you are seriously interested in obtaining a fun muscle car that will turn heads and not be just another chevelle or camaro, this is the car for you. If you are a person that just has to have an option if it is available, this is the car for you. If you want to pull up to most other cars on the road and be confident you can embarrass them, this is the car for you. If you want a barret jackson investment car, this is not the car for you. If you want something factory correct and date coded as a restoration piece, this is not the car for you. I am detail oriented and trust only what is measured, that is why i have dyno results, an AFR meter setup, etc. I am looking for an automatic 68-69 pontiac A body with endura nose, that's about the only trade i'd consider. I will of course consider reasonable offers with cash in hand, but i'm not letting go of this car for the price of a 350/350 chevy everyday malibu or base option lemans, nor entertaining offers or "what's the least you'll take" over the internet if you don't even have the money in hand you're offering. I have heated dry storage for it all winter and don't need to sell it now, but i'd like to before spring to make room for a 68-69 when i find one. Feel free to ask about details or if you need more pictures, i want you to know exactly what you're looking at. I have a lot of time, love, and money in this car but i'm ready to find what i've always wanted. You are welcome to come over and look and i'll take you for a ride. Engine: Pontiac 462 (455 .030 over) (not a numbers correct HO but more powerful than any production 455) Rebuilt about 1500 miles ago (B&B Machine, warren) - Forged RPM rods, forged pistons, balanced assembly. Heads 6x-8, ported and decked, 2.11I 1.77E stainless one piece valves, clearance for 1.65 rockers all by Jim L./CVMS, custom oil pump work done by the same HT-951 lifters, crower 120# springs, one piece pushrods, 1.65 scorpion roller rockers and XE284 cam, engine right at 9.3:1 static compression. 3/4" valvecover spacers, port matched intake with separated water X-over, custom curved and limited HEI unit, new balancer, alternator, water pump, PS pump, etc, once piece re-usable oil pan gasket, RobMC 1/2" racing mechanical fuel pump, 850CFM Q-Jet custom built by Cliff Ruggles (Who literally wrote the book on Q-Jets, it's on amazon, go look.) Chassis dyno at 361/416 at the wheels (20% loss 430HP/500ft lbs of torque, BEFORE correcting fuel curve, installing correct valvesprings, installing 1.65 rockers to better take advantage of the heads.) Driveline: GM NP440 (MY6) Side loader 4 speed trans. Looks like Muncie but is actually an OD (only gm 4 speed OD trans), integrated reverse switch. Same yoke as TH350/4spd, same input as Muncie etc (10 spline input shaft), same length and speedo gears as Muncie/TH350/Etc. Great with the 3.90 rear, can still do highway with light pedal no problem. Gear ratios: 3.09, 1.67, 1.00, 0.73, Rev 3.00 Freshly rebuilt with bearings, seals, synchros, etc. New hurst comp plus shifter with custom shift linkage using heim joints. New Clutch/Flywheel/heavy duty throwout bearing and pilot bearing. New clutch linkages, reverse lockout linkages, bushings, balls, etc. All new driveshaft made and balanced by broadway service, driveshaft loop, new u-joints in last 250 miles. 8.5" 3.90 Detroit Locker Rear with upgraded Strange Eng. HD pinion, 1/2" wheel studs, new bearings, gaskets, seals, etc. rebuilt less than 3k miles ago by Jim at J. D. Race. Wheels/Tires/Suspension: New Year One 17" one piece Ralleye II wheels with new nitto 555 tires, less than 2K miles. All new brakes all the way around (front power disc and rear drum with hidden electric vacuum assist pump AND storage can, out of sight behind battery. Can't hear when running) Stops fast and hard! ALL NEW PARKING BRAKE CABLES AND CONNECTORS! Works correctly like no old car seems to ever do. Braided stainless flex lines. EBC Yellowstuff pads. Lowered 1.4" all the way around on eibach springs, new shocks, all new poly bushings everywhere, ALL NEW TUBULAR SUSPENSION ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH NEW BALLJOINTS, TIE ROD ENDS, BUSHINGS, ETC. Even tubular rear lower arm mount to frame braces...setup to handle and corner and not roll! Front and rear sway bars, and heavy duty trans mount. Rebuilt FAST RATIO power steering box, connect to newly rebuilt TILT steering wheel with new switches, bearings, ragjoint, etc. Fuel System: Stock tank with RobbMC 1/2" fuel pickup/sending unit, 1/2" alum fuel line to RobbMC pump with vapor return, RobbMC Billet Alum. serviceable Racing filter attached to frame, 3/8" Line from fuel pump to Ruggles carb with no 90* fittings for fast fuel flow through metal line, no $2 cheap fuel filters or rubber line engine fires here! Exhaust: New OVERSIZED ram air restorations (r.a.r.e.) cast factory headers connected to new r.a.r.e. 2 1/2" X-over exhaust with spintech mufflers, out to dual valance exit with new hangar, O2 fuel sensor, welded system not clamped. The rest: Old air products heat/AC connected to factory heat/ac outlets and factory heat/ac controls, smoothed firewall, aftermarket AM/FM/Aux input radio that didn't need dash drilled and whacked, buckets, console, RALLEYE GAUGES and not idiot lights! Hood tach, clock works and converted to quartz, 140MPH speedo, 99% new wiring harness (painless) with hidden fuse box, paint within last 10 years, bumpers within last 5, Air/Fuel meter system, interior in last 10 years, new windshield, trunk trimmed, 3 pt seatbelts, dual large row alum radiator, large OEM 7 blade quiet fan and new fan clutch. Car runs cool, likes to have pedal stomped, although i'm generally just a cruiser so it never gets run like it wants. Front dual center speaker, 6x9s in package tray. Subtle A/F ratio meter mounted under dash near front of console for easy tuning. Carb has APT system so you can adjust primary mixture with just a screw turn, secondaries can be adjusted easily by removing one screw to remove secondary rods and replace with thinner or thicker ones. Known Issues: Speedo reads 5-10mph high because it had a 3.42 rear and has 3.90 now. Oil and temp gauge read high because I haven't found accurate sending units (oil pressure is 15-20 idle hot, 50+ cruising and temp is 185-200 max). Paint is 8/10. Package tray has small tear, new starter needs a shim or two, reverse linkage could be fine tuned (sometimes pops out of reverse, adjustment rod just needs turned out.) Needs alignment, camber is a little too much (oversteer on long fast corners). Rear main leaks some (leaves small spot but no oil needs added between changes). Runs a little rich at WOT (no stumble or bog but A/F gauge shows about 12:1). I have driven on 87 octane no problem but usually run 89. Car is not real 455 HO nor is anything on it near original or stock. I replaced aftermarket speedometer with OEM one that had 99K miles on it...installed at time of engine rebuild so true body mileage is unknown but mileage on odometer matches mileage on drivetrain!

It is a sister to the Chevelle 300. The 2 door versions were post cars with the hardtops being relegated to the higher end LeMans and GTOs. They generally were ordered with 6 cylinder motors, radio delete, vinyl floor coverings vs. carpet and a plain vinyl seat material. This Tempest was purchased new from Hedges Pontiac Dealership in Indianapolis and has all the PHS documentation. The paint on this car is really outstanding as the pics show. This vehicle has never has never been wrecked and the paint, bright work and body are excellent with straight lines and PERFECT gaps on all the panels. The car retains all its original sheet metal with no patch panels. There is no rust anywhere on this vehicle. The window moldings have been buffed and shine like new. The bumpers are re plated. The emblems are new. The tail light bezels have been re chromed and are like new. The car has been lowered and with the new Boss rims and tires, gives it that great Resto Mod look. The car's interior has been fully restored to its original condition and presents as new. The vinyl seats are new and finished in the correct pattern vinyl for a 67 base Tempest. The original floor covering for this car would have been a vinyl and this car was restored true to the way it came from the factory. It is a radio delete car, again correct for this value oriented vehicle. There are no cracks in the dash or steering wheel. A full gauge cluster has been added. All the instrumentation and warning lights work. The window glass is all original (LOF) and in very good condition. All the weather stripping is new and excellent. All the seats have their original seat belts with their original GM date coded labels) and look like new. The headliner has been replaced and presents as new. The interior of this car needs nothing. Underneath, thus car presents as well as the top side. All new suspension parts including sway bars, new shocks, new brakes (discs up front, drums in the rear), and a new duel exhaust system. The frame is perfect. The trunk is highly detailed and presents as factory original. Inside there is the original bumper jack and lug wrench along with a spare tire. The engine bay is immaculate and presents mainly as factory original. The upgraded PONTIAC 350 HO engine is fresh and has been warmed up with a nice cam and 4 barrel carb. It has the correct heads and exhaust manifolds. It has its original Harrison radiator. With the Flowmasters, it sounds GREAT. Mechanically this Tempest is also in great condition with working lights, wipers, turn signals, instruments, interior lights, horn, etc. The vehicle starts quickly. It idles and drives smoothly. They generally were ordered with 6 cylinder motors, radio delete, vinyl floor coverings vs. carpet and a plain vinyl seat material. This Tempest was purchased new from Hedges Pontiac Dealership in Indianapolis and has all the PHS documentation. The paint on this car is really outstanding as the pics show. This vehicle has never has never been wrecked and the paint, bright work and body are excellent with straight lines and PERFECT gaps on all the panels. The car retains all its original sheet metal with no patch panels. There is no rust anywhere on this vehicle. The window moldings have been buffed and shine like new. The bumpers are re plated. The emblems are new. The tail light bezels have been re chromed and are like new. The car has been lowered and with the new Boss rims and tires, gives it that great Resto Mod look. I have decided to offer up for sale my 1971 classic pontiac muscle car. Over time i have made it into a potent street machine, currently setup as a streetlight brawler. With a 455, 3.90 gears, a rumpy cam, and lots of torque, it can be a ton of fun. Don't let the gears scare you, it's a unique car with GM's only sideloader OD trans, so you can still do some highway with it. EVERYTHING has been upgraded or touched at some point in the last few years. There really isn't an option that it lacks, everything is clean and it presents and drives well. It rides well and is tight, corners tight, and sits low. When i buy parts, i buy good solid well performing parts, as evidenced by the fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, etc you'll find on this car. This is not another 350/400 cu in automatic a body with OK paint and a nasty engine bay, or with slick paint but a crap interior. None of this car is a 10/10, but every aspect of it is an 8/10 or more. The only couple minor issues are outlined below. If you are seriously interested in obtaining a fun muscle car that will turn heads and not be just another chevelle or camaro, this is the car for you. If you are a person that just has to have an option if it is available, this is the car for you. If you want to pull up to most other cars on the road and be confident you can embarrass them, this is the car for you. If you want a barret jackson investment car, this is not the car for you. If you want something factory correct and date coded as a restoration piece, this is not the car for you. I am detail oriented and trust only what is measured, that is why i have dyno results, an AFR meter setup, etc. I am looking for an automatic 68-69 pontiac A body with endura nose, that's about the only trade i'd consider. I will of course consider reasonable offers with cash in hand, but i'm not letting go of this car for the price of a 350/350 chevy everyday malibu or base option lemans, nor entertaining offers or "what's the least you'll take" over the internet if you don't even have the money in hand you're offering. I have heated dry storage for it all winter and don't need to sell it now, but i'd like to before spring to make room for a 68-69 when i find one. Engine: Pontiac 462 (455 .030 over) (not a numbers correct HO but more powerful than any production 455) Rebuilt about 1500 miles ago (B&B Machine, warren) - Forged RPM rods, forged pistons, balanced assembly. Heads 6x-8, ported and decked, 2.11I 1.77E stainless one piece valves, clearance for 1.65 rockers all by Jim L./CVMS, custom oil pump work done by the same HT-951 lifters, crower 120# springs, one piece pushrods, 1.65 scorpion roller rockers and XE284 cam, engine right at 9.3:1 static compression. 3/4" valvecover spacers, port matched intake with separated water X-over, custom curved and limited HEI unit, new balancer, alternator, water pump, PS pump, etc, once piece re-usable oil pan gasket, RobMC 1/2" racing mechanical fuel pump, 850CFM Q-Jet custom built by Cliff Ruggles (Who literally wrote the book on Q-Jets, it's on amazon, go look.) Chassis dyno at 361/416 at the wheels (20% loss 430HP/500ft lbs of torque, BEFORE correcting fuel curve, installing correct valvesprings, installing 1.65 rockers to better take advantage of the heads.) Driveline: GM NP440 (MY6) Side loader 4 speed trans. Looks like Muncie but is actually an OD (only gm 4 speed OD trans), integrated reverse switch. Same yoke as TH350/4spd, same input as Muncie etc (10 spline input shaft), same length and speedo gears as Muncie/TH350/Etc. Great with the 3.90 rear, can still do highway with light pedal no problem. Gear ratios: 3.09, 1.67, 1.00, 0.73, Rev 3.00 Freshly rebuilt with bearings, seals, synchros, etc. New hurst comp plus shifter with custom shift linkage using heim joints. New Clutch/Flywheel/heavy duty throwout bearing and pilot bearing. New clutch linkages, reverse lockout linkages, bushings, balls, etc. All new driveshaft made and balanced by broadway service, driveshaft loop, new u-joints in last 250 miles. 8.5" 3.90 Detroit Locker Rear with upgraded Strange Eng. HD pinion, 1/2" wheel studs, new bearings, gaskets, seals, etc. rebuilt less than 3k miles ago by Jim at J. D. Race. Wheels/Tires/Suspension: New Year One 17" one piece Ralleye II wheels with new nitto 555 tires, less than 2K miles. All new brakes all the way around (front power disc and rear drum with hidden electric vacuum assist pump AND storage can, out of sight behind battery. Can't hear when running) Stops fast and hard! ALL NEW PARKING BRAKE CABLES AND CONNECTORS! Works correctly like no old car seems to ever do. Braided stainless flex lines. EBC Yellowstuff pads. Lowered 1.4" all the way around on eibach springs, new shocks, all new poly bushings everywhere, ALL NEW TUBULAR SUSPENSION ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH NEW BALLJOINTS, TIE ROD ENDS, BUSHINGS, ETC. Even tubular rear lower arm mount to frame braces...setup to handle and corner and not roll! Front and rear sway bars, and heavy duty trans mount. Rebuilt FAST RATIO power steering box, connect to newly rebuilt TILT steering wheel with new switches, bearings, ragjoint, etc. Fuel System: Stock tank with RobbMC 1/2" fuel pickup/sending unit, 1/2" alum fuel line to RobbMC pump with vapor return, RobbMC Billet Alum. serviceable Racing filter attached to frame, 3/8" Line from fuel pump to Ruggles carb with no 90* fittings for fast fuel flow through metal line, no $2 cheap fuel filters or rubber line engine fires here! Exhaust: New OVERSIZED ram air restorations (r.a.r.e.) cast factory headers connected to new r.a.r.e. 2 1/2" X-over exhaust with spintech mufflers, out to dual valance exit with new hangar, O2 fuel sensor, welded system not clamped. The rest: Old air products heat/AC connected to factory heat/ac outlets and factory heat/ac controls, smoothed firewall, aftermarket AM/FM/Aux input radio that didn't need dash drilled and whacked, buckets, console, RALLEYE GAUGES and not idiot lights! Hood tach, clock works and converted to quartz, 140MPH speedo, 99% new wiring harness (painless) with hidden fuse box, paint within last 10 years, bumpers within last 5, Air/Fuel meter system, interior in last 10 years, new windshield, trunk trimmed, 3 pt seatbelts, dual large row alum radiator, large OEM 7 blade quiet fan and new fan clutch. Car runs cool, likes to have pedal stomped, although i'm generally just a cruiser so it never gets run like it wants. Front dual center speaker, 6x9s in package tray. Subtle A/F ratio meter mounted under dash near front of console for easy tuning. Carb has APT system so you can adjust primary mixture with just a screw turn, secondaries can be adjusted easily by removing one screw to remove secondary rods and replace with thinner or thicker ones. Known Issues: Speedo reads 5-10mph high because it had a 3.42 rear and has 3.90 now. Oil and temp gauge read high because I haven't found accurate sending units (oil pressure is 15-20 idle hot, 50+ cruising and temp is 185-200 max). Paint is 8/10. Package tray has small tear, new starter needs a shim or two, reverse linkage could be fine tuned (sometimes pops out of reverse, adjustment rod just needs turned out.) Needs alignment, camber is a little too much (oversteer on long fast corners). Rear main leaks some (leaves small spot but no oil needs added between changes). Runs a little rich at WOT (no stumble or bog but A/F gauge shows about 12:1). I have driven on 87 octane no problem but usually run 89. Car is not real 455 HO nor is anything on it near original or stock. I replaced aftermarket speedometer with OEM one that had 99K miles on it...installed at time of engine rebuild so true body mileage is unknown but mileage on odometer matches mileage on drivetrain!

Here is a nice Christmas present for yourself that you can be sporting around in by the Spring of 2016. Its a 1967 GTO hardtop. It is an original red car. It has had one repaint that was probably in the early 80's and is still shiny. The previous owner installed a vinyl top, though it is not originally a vinyl top car. The top has been painted black but it needs work. This car is a good representation of what owners were doing to GTO's in the early 80's. You can see the custom mirrors, the blacked out tail panel, and the 8 track stereo with speakers in the doors and package tray. The car also has air shocks that surprisingly still hold air. This car is a bit of a time capsule, but not to 1967. More along the lines of 1982. If you liked the era of hair parted in the middle, knee high socks, OP shorts on men, rainbow suspenders and movies like Xanadu, or Breakin etc you get the idea. The car has just 81,964 original miles, as it was almost never driven by the previous owner during his entire ownership. It has a clean Florida title, but we couldn't get DMV to indicate actual miles as the odometer is 5 digit only. It had been previously registered in North Carolina in 1981. This car is all original matching numbers down to the carb. Original owners manual and protect-o-plate are in the glove box. If you wish to run the PHS on it, the VIN has been provided. The motor is the 335 HP YS 400 with 670 heads, Th400, Safety Track rear ( I think 2.56 is what came on on auto cars with a/c). P.S., manual brakes, a/c. Everything works including the aftermarket radio and equalizer. We couldn't get the 8track to play tapes however. (Maybe that is a good thing) We also could not get the ac to kick on and traced the problem to a bad relay. (** Update- We changed out the relay, and that didn't help, so next effort will be to bypass blower switch). Lights all work, including front and rear signals and brake lights, dash lights, dome lights, console light Runs, drives, shifts and stops and is roadworthy, but as with any vintage car, I'm not sure how long of a trip I'd be willing to take it on, as things are prone to breakage. We put a new muffler and patched the exhaust system, but in my mind the pipes are too small at 1.25" Compression is really too high for todays gas, so if I were restoring, I'd consider dropping the compression. We noticed some smoking on the driver side bank. I suspect it is dried out valve seals, but we didn't investigate further.*** Update- We ran the car on Thanksgiving and there was no smoking. Car looks great at 20', but deserves a restoration. Frame is perfect. Floors are good, but passenger side floor has small hole. Car still has it's original carpet. Car needs a complete trunk floor, and at least one trunk floor support brace, but does not need trunk drop offs. It will need lower quarter patches, fender patche and windshield base repair panel, along with some roof repair. Somewhere along its life, it suffered minor damage to the passenger side fender and that was apparently replaced with a donor from a Tempest or Lemans. Otherwise, the panels fit nicely and everything opens and closes as it should. I don't see anything that is missing from this car except the jack and spare and hold down, and the carb diaphram and pull off linkage. As a result the buyer won't spend $ chasing hard to find parts. In preparing this car to be roadworthy, we purchased and installed the following new parts- battery, upper radiator hose, fuel pump, fuel filter, rubber fuel lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rear wheel hardware, brake shoes all around, and 2 new tires. New plugs, wires, points, rotor and cap. Naturally we changed out all fluids. I've tried to represent this car as accurately as I can.
