This car was purchased from a deceased friend that kept this car in storage for most of its running life. The car runs good and is complete, no smog, clear title and is currently non-op, right hand driver. In pricing this car out it's a steal at 12k.

For sale is this 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow. Inspection sticker expired 9/2014, but was used regularly until then. Car runs well, engine performs smoothly. Suspension fine. Does not burn excessive oil. Possible repair of rear brakes needed. Mechanically sound, all the fascia controls work. Tires have some meat. Can be driven as is, however cosmetically it is in fair condition. No leaks in or around engine. Certainly not worth a full resto, but an experienced leather restorer could make the seats somewhat presentable. The exterior paint is fair. Most of it can be buffed, but there are cracks and rubbing in many spots. The lacquer on the door wood has crackles. Fascia wood very decent. Someone with some skill can do the repair. Trunk clean. Body has little or no rust. One wheel cover does show rust, the rest are still bright. Glass is clear. Windows roll up and down, but with a slight delay, but servos appear to be fine. Has been regularly serviced for 20 years at a Rolls, Bentley, and other prestige marques repair shop in Belleville NJ, where it is stored. 1971 Silver Shadow 1. Impeccably kept and fastidiously maintained. Originally sold by the well known Albers RR/Bentley of Zionsville and maintained there until the late 90s. Greg Albers owned the car and sold it around 1999 due to lack of use. in 1996 The odometer stopped working around 74500 miles. Greg said that the history on file shows a new speedometer was factory ordered and installed at his dealership and started with (0) miles. Current reading is 11XXX miles. Total around 86K. This can be easily verified with a phone call and there is also a small decal in the door jamb documenting the exchange. The car has been maintained both cosmetically and mechanically to exceptional standards both before and since Albers private ownership. This is evident by the Best in Class plaque that this car received in show in 2015 and the incredible underhood condition of all components. Recent service included brake hoses, pads, fluid flush, reservoir rebuild, and fluid pump rebuilds along with a fresh oil change, differential fluid, coolant and transmission fluid. The electric choke has also been rebuilt. In the 90's the rear axles were converted to the Shadow II booted type. The car runs out perfect, the air conditioning has been completely rebuilt and will freeze you out of the car on the hottest day, all of the climate servos operate flawlessly, the steering is without play and effortless. All of the electronics work. The seats zip back and forth up and down like new. The windows go up and down like new. The rear windows are not sluggish as they usually are in these shadows. The leather is supple and undamaged, the wood is crack free, the headliner is impeccable. Flawless wrap around chrome bumpers and monolithic grille really set off the shape off the car as a true classic. In fact all of the bright work around the car is without flaw. 1976 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow It's not a perfect but it's a fun car to drive. Every car enthusiast should have a Rolls Royce at some point in their lifetime just to experience the opulence of rolling luxury. It's been a Beverly Hills car most of it's life and has 45,000+ original miles on it. My original plans were to have some fun with the car for a couple of years but that turned out to be over five years. It's time for some one else to enjoy this Silver Shadow. The basic mechanicals are in good shape as well as the body and interior. The following are items that need attention but don't take away from making the vehicle a good driver. The radio does not work but comes with a new replacement. The power antenna does not go all the way down without a little help. The clock ticks but no hand movement. The 4 way flashers do not work. Needs new switch. The power door locks do not work. The rear power windows do not work. They need to be lubricated. One of the accumulator sensors needs to be replaced. The tires are old but still have a lot of tread. The steering rag joint boot could use a new one. The car has had a recent oil and filter change, fresh rear oil in the rear end, and the radiator has been serviced and filled with new antifreeze. The car was repainted about six years ago. It has a couple of small bubbles on the right front fender but have not changed in the five years I have had it. The car has had a major tune up and well as $4000 in brake work including replacing the accumulators. The sale of the car includes a car cover and a CD repair manual. The car is a real time piece, but since it is over 39 years old, it is being sold as is with NO written or expressed warranty.

I am the second owner of this vehicle having purchased it from a family trust in Fairfax, Virginia. After purchase it was gone through from front to rear and everything that needed repair was done. Tires were replaced and the exhaust system repaired. As with all Rolls the electrical system was a challenge and everything works including the clock, radio, temperature gauge, lights and the climate control system. Fluids were changed including the engine oil and filter, transmission, and most importantly the dual hydraulic systems were flushed and refilled with fresh R336 as indicated on the sight glass on the hydraulic tanks. Engine coolant was flushed and replaced and there are no leaks. I did plan to recover the front seats, but they are fine and will last for a good amount of time. Vehicle has been to numerous shows and has its share of trophies, but as stated earlier it is kept as a driver so it can be enjoyed. Right now I have two garages full of cars and the herd needs thinning so I have decided to sell this to make some room for other projects (motorcycles). 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, last ones with metal bumper. Ivory on British Racing Green. LHD American export originally delivered to a salesman in Texas, who drove it daily for the first ten years. No rust whatsoever. Second owner for the next 20+ years was a physician on the east coast. He was often observed doing research at the RR Foundation library, as he wanted to do his own work.The engine is original Rolls Royce 5.75 liter V-8. The car has not been in any accident. No filler was ever used on the aluminum or steel body parts. The body, chassis and top end were professionally renovated in 2002, no expense spared, at 96k miles. All factory upgrades such as differential carrier, carburetor shut off valves, in tank thermostat, brake pump and others, were performed at that time. Since then, the car has been driven few miles, for weddings and on special occasions. The interior including wood, is in excellent original condition.
