1982 Volvo 242 GLT Turbo. It is a 2 door coupe. This car has the very rare B21FT 4-cylinder turbocharged engine and M46 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive (essentially a 5-speed). Options include: Working sunroof, power locks, power windows, AC. Factory intercooler and Volvo "turbo plus" kit (provides extra boost at higher RPM's). Runs and drives. This 242 has 4 fairly new tires, recent tune up including spark plugs, cap & rotor, and plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, oil change (has always had synthetic oil), and front end alignment, some suspension bushings, new muffler and tailpipe installed. Some of the upgrades include: IPD sway bars front and rear, upper and lower "GT" strut braces from IPD, and Bilstein shocks and struts. Remote oil filter kit. VDO turbo boost gauge. Newer exhaust manifold from a later Volvo B230FT. It does have some rust as can be seen in the photos. The drivers rear floor has some rust, the rockers, wheel wells, and behind the wheels have some rust as does the leading edge of the hood. All common areas. Patch panels are widely available for these. This car deserves to be restored and appreciated. The car is registered in Delaware and driven daily at the moment. It will need injector seals in the future. It runs a little rough at idle. This is a common issue on the K Jet cars, and a simple and inexpensive repair. Up for sale is my 1983 Volvo 242DL. Freshly repainted in the original Scotia Blue as of April 2015. The bumpers and trim were removed prior to being painted. It had the passenger side rocker replaced with a German part due to minor very rust. Engine is the bulletproof B23F and behind it is a smooth shifting M46 manual transmission with J type Laycock overdrive which works well. The shifter bushings are worn, but new ones are included with the sale. Runs and drives well. Unsure as to the actual mileage as I have replaced the speedometer several times in the past 12 years or so. Rare Webasto sunroof. It is said to be one of 8 built with this sunroof as a "concept" car. This was information I was given by a local Volvo dealer in 2002. It was a "special delivery" car, and lived the first part of its life in Germany. No factory AC. Has power steering. Just tuned; new plugs, cap/rotor, air filter. Turbo sways, IPD overload rear springs, Virgos, and a bunch of extra parts. Good tires. Car is in dry storage, not sitting outdoors in the weather. Very sad to sell it. Ford : Taurus SE Comfort Wagon 4-Door 2000 ford taurus wagon 1 owner garage kept extra clean

This is my mother's 2000 Taurus SE wagon. She is the original owner having purchased it new in 2000 from Union Park Ford in Wilmington Delaware. The only reason for the sale is that my father is no longer fit to drive so she has decided to keep his car and sell hers. As you can see from the photos below, this car has been METICULOUSLY cared for. It has always been garaged and kept protected. It has quite a bit of mileage (the condition of the car has all who see it in disbelief!), but it has always received timely maintenance and repairs. All service records since new will be included with the car. All maintenance and repairs were either handled by the dealer, a local trusted repair shop, or by myself. If it was a repair that I performed, the receipts with the supplies/parts are also included with the date and mileage noted on the receipt. Overall, the car is in good mechanical condition and ready to be used as daily transportation. All features and accessories work as intended. The A/C blows cold and, amazingly, has never required service. The brakes are in good condition as are the tires. In the spirit of full disclosure, some additional background: Early during her ownership, my mother hit a deer with the front of the car. The front bumper cover and one headlight were replaced with OEM replacement parts and the hood and adjacent fender were repainted/blended. The color match is perfect as I can't even determine which side it actually was. There are a handful of scrapes, scratches, and dings from a couple of run-ins my father had with curbs, posts, and random objects in the garage. At around 140,000 miles, one of the needle bearings within the transmission failed and damaged the gearset. I was able to obtain a replacement gear set and a full set of new bearings, clutches, and bands in order to rebuild the entire transmission. The case was flushed to remove any trapped debris and the entire valve body was disassembled, cleaned, and resealed. After assembly and installation in the car, it was discovered that there is some minor slippage in overdrive which I believe to be a sticky overdrive solenoid. Since I didn't feel like taking the whole thing apart again I simply suggested that my mother just use it in "Drive" as opposed to "Overdrive". It also occasionally has a bit of a firm shift from 3rd to 4th gear. This too may be a sticky solenoid, but again, I didn't really feel like digging into it again. It has survived for almost 50,000 miles this way so I imagine it should be fine going forward. I pulled the pan to replace the filter and flush the fluid this past weekend (to confirm that everything looked OK). The fluid looked exactly as it should, nice and red, and there were no metal shavings or any other indicators that there might be problems lurking inside. Now that that's out of the way, on to the good stuff! As you can see from the photos, the exterior and interior of the car are extremely clean. The leather is almost perfect with the exception of some very minor cracking on the driver's seat only. It is soft and supple, not hard or stiff. The carpets are in very good condition. In fact, the floor mats are the original floor mats. She put a set of rubber floor liners in the car almost immediately after purchasing it. The carpet in the cargo area is also very clean, though it does have a couple of spots. We did not attempt to clean these, so there is a good chance they might come right out. There are no tears or wear through anywhere. All of the plastic trim panels and the headliner are in very good condition with minimal wear. One item to note is that the leather on the two rear doors had separated from the door panels at one point (the glue failed). It was reglued, but could likely be done better. Curiously, the front door panels don't have this issue. The car has a current PA state and emissions inspection that is valid until March 2016. The title is clean and clear. Finally, the equipment. This car is loaded! I'm not sure there were any options offered this model year that the car doesn't have. I've included photos of the original window sticker for reference, but it's a little tough to read because it was folded and the ink bled. Here's the option list: 3.0 liter DOHC 24 valve flex fuel engine - widely acclaimed to be all but bulletproof 7 Passenger Seating with Rear Facing Seat Front Bucket Seats with Flip/Fold Center Console, Cupholder, and Storage Compartment Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel Leather Seating Power Adjustable Front Seat MACH Stereo with 6 Disk CD Changer Power Antenna Heated Power Mirrors Traction Control Adjustable Brake Pedal (Power Adjustable!) 4 Wheel Disc Brakes 4 Wheel ABS Alloy Wheels Dual Lighted Visor Mirrors Keyless Entry Dual Front Airbags Side Air Bags Height Adjustable Seat Belts Tilt Wheel Power Windows Power Locks Rear Window Wiper HID Xenon Headlights (aftermarket system that I installed about 2 years ago) The car is located in Southern Chester County approximately mid-way between Kennett Square and Oxford.
