Car show plaque in pictures and nice tonneau cover that snaps on for show and or storage are included with sale. No expense spared with stroked to 462 CID and when I had this car tuned on chassis dyno put almost 500 ft pounds to the rear tires at Cincy Speed in Cincinnati OH with Carb tuning down by Tracey. Grabber blue paint and powder coating underneath car is just as clean as top side. No paint issues, there was a small chip windshield so I ordered one from factory and had it professionally installed. Recent tune up plugs and fluids, needs nothing. Brakes checked and flushed at Cincy Speed. Oddysey battery replaced last month. Side pipes coated last fall. Originally called the "Daytona Car," it was designed and built to take on the Ferrari GTO which had a sleeker design and was beating Shelby's Cobra at high speeds. After the Daytona placed 4th at Sebring overall and came in 1st in the GT class, Ford got behind Shelby in an effort to beat Enzo Ferrari and his Ferrari GTOs. In 1964, the car was very competitive with Gurney and Bondurant behind the wheel. With the season wrapping up and Ferrari ahead by just a few points, the final race at Monza would be the deciding factor, however, the race was canceled, leaving a great racing "what-if?" As a wonderful edition to the Superformance line, the Daytona Coupe is a redesigned street version of the original race car. Leading the charge was the original designer, Peter Brock. The street car features a slightly larger body than the original car, has a re-engineered suspension that was overseen by Roush Engineering, as well as many modern upgrades and creature comforts. The result is an incredible car that combines modern technology with stunning race car looks. Finished in Red with White stripes, this Shelby Cobra Daytona has just 6,500 miles since completion. Standard options include a tubular space frame, independent coil over suspension, period correct gauges, 4 wheel disc brakes,  aluminum radiator, stainless fuel tank, bucket seats, dual exhaust, power steering, power brakes, theft deterrent system, power door locks and AC. Additional options on this car include LeMans twin stripes, painted rear cove, sound deadening, Hi Fi stereo, heat dissipation, and ceramic coated side pipes. The engine is the Roush Performance 427R. This fantastic motor uses a Dart 4-bolt main block with big cubic inches and loads of dependability. The motor also uses forged pistons, rods and crank. The motors use Roush cylinder heads with premium stainless steel valves with 2.08" intake and 1.60" exhaust. The cam is a Roush hydraulic roller with a double roller timing chain and gear set. The carburetor is a Roush-tuned Holley 770 CFM with vacuum secondaries and an electric choke. The accessory drive system runs on Roush aluminum under-drive pulleys. As with all Roush motors, they are hot-tested and dyno tested to verify power.  The transmission is the optional T-56 Magnum, the premier aftermarket 6-speed transmission. The T-56 weighs just 135lbs dry and can withstand 700 lbs ft of tq. It has wonderful short and crisp action and offers a nice balance of strength and ease-of-use. Despite being built new, Shelby Daytonas are relatively hard to come by. This one took over a year from the time is was ordered, and some can take longer as the factory will only build the cars when it has sufficient orders. The 1970 torino 429 SCJ was the fastest muscle car built besides the Chevy LS 6 Chevelle . This car is Calypso Coral and the paint is stunning in every way. It has had only one repaint and the car is all original. No Rust ever . The body is straight as a arrow and all the lines match up perfectly Also the undercarriage is beautiful and shows like new. Frame is solid and no rust anywhere.Start her up and she shakes the pavement. Its loud and has a nice Growl and the car drives 100 % like when new. Power Steering and Brakes and Am factory Radio . The Black Interior is pristine in every way and again original .Car comes with Factory louvers on rear window, Shaker hood with Ram air scoop and Tachometer. . A true muscle car built for the Drag strip in 1970 . The Factory quoted the H.P to be a 375 . at 5400 RPMs but that was for ins purposes and advantages on the track. In reality the car has been on a Dyno pushing nearly 500 HP. It was faster then all hemi cars, including the daytona charger , Yenko camaro, only .01 seconds slower then the Ls6 chevelle. In 1970, the heavy-breathing 429 was offered up in three configurations: the 360-hp Thunder Jet, the hydraulic-lifter 370-hp Cobra Jet (CJ) and finally, the 375-hp Super Cobra Jet (SCJ).The only way buyers could up the ante for the 429 SCJ was to check the box for the Drag Pack option. This gave performance-minded buyers a 429- ci engine with 4-bolt mains, solid lifter cam, forged pistons, big-mouth 780 CFM Holley carburetor and an engine oil cooler to help keep the beast from melting down on a hot pass. Buyers also received a 4.30:1 Detroit Locker or 3.91:1 Traction-Lok rear differential to keep all that power in check. The Shaker Hood was another option, as the SCJ was available with or without Ram Air induction.The performance lineup for the Torino came in two packages: the Torino Cobra or the Torino GT. The Torino Cobra was a bare-bones variant, as it was designed more for no-frills street performance while sacrificing some creature comforts. The GT was marketed toward more affluent buyers, as the option list was longer, with more trim and décor levels while still offering up some pretty stout performance numbers. The GT with the 429 SCJ and drag pack running through the 3.91:1 gears hit the clock at just under 14 seconds in the quarter mile, which isn’t too shabby for a bloated, 3,700-pound 4-seater.The original buyer obviously ordered our subject car for some formidable street action. The only missing items are bucket seats and a 4-speed tranny. The factory air conditioning was a trade-out for the C-6 transmission, as buyers could not get the 429 SCJ combined with A/C and a 4-speed on the floor. The overall combination certainly made a hot street package, and it offered up room for four and a trunk worthy of carrying more than a few bags of groceries.
