Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage verses Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss”, the Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that mean the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have any damage on it. We have bought 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. In brief Total Loss does not always mean that the car was in a bad wreck or had extensive damage. We do not buy or sell anything with major damage. This Sienna is like new inside and out and it is a fresh non-smoker's van and it was owned by people that had NO kids so there are no spills, stains, rips or odors of any kind except that new car smell which is still there! It is as close to new as any 2011 van could be. It is a rust free Florida van so it has not been in the harsh winters of the north and it shows, even the underside is spotless. It has great Carfax service records and it was just detailed inside and out. Carfax did show a very minor accident to the rear fender, it was a scuff and was fixed and is not an issue. The tires are matching and with plenty of tread remaining to help provide a very smooth and quiet ride. The factory aluminum wheels are in great shape as well. There are parking sensors, rear back-up camera, roof rack and power hatch. The interior is again spotless, period! As you know most mini vans have had kids climbing all over everything and spilling drinks, this one has NOT! It looks like no one has ever been in it. Even the headsets for the DVD system are still in the original wrapings. The leather seats are heated and there is the center seat between the two middle captains chairs for an additional person for a total of eight passnegers if need be. All the power options work great including the dual power side doors, dual air conditioning, power sunroof, rear back up camera, power hatch and CD stereo to name a few. Look close at the pictures, it's a beautiful van. What a pleasure to drive. The peppy V-6 runs perfect and delivers good gas mileage, the brakes are smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles. Don't buy a new one for near $40k! Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage verses Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss”, the Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that mean the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner.
