I have always had convertibles, both old and new, but never have had a car that is this much fun. Let me introduce you to "Lucy Lou." I bought this magnificent classic car in July of 2016, and I am the third owner. The first owner was in New Orleans, and the second owner was in Tampa, Florida. The second owner did not drive it, and only showed her at car shows. It has never been up North and has no rust. She has never failed to start. When I first bought her and took her to a mechanic, he indicated that she was in excellent shape. I took her to a local classic car show 2 weeks ago in Webster, Florida and she won the Tom Cushman's People's Choice Award. Everyone loves her! Also, comes with a car cover and 2 mud guards, a box of various bits and pieces, 2 repair operation manuals and a Triumph Spitfire Haynes restoration manual. I love this car. I drive it daily in town and around to The Villages in Florida. The only reason I am selling is because my husband recently had a triple bypass and it is now hard for him to get in and out of. I want to buy a car that we can have fun in together! The place where we live has a homeowner's association and each resident is only allowed 2 cars, so when I buy my next convertible then I would have to pay to store this one, as my husband also has a truck. Lucy Lou does not want to be stored, she wants to be DRIVEN! She runs like a dream. A blast to drive. Everywhere I go, I have folks stopping me to ask questions, as well as tell me all about a Spitfire that they have owned in the past. Either that, or they have a friend that owns one. Where did I get it? Is it for sale? Isn't it fun to drive! Or, how is it on gas? You name it, they have asked it. I have often come out from grocery shopping and found 2 or 3 men or women clustered about the car, marveling about it. Some even wanting me to raise the bonnet, so they can explain all about the engine and the inner workings of the car. When I stop at a stoplight, drivers roll their windows down to chat about my car. One even asked me to pull over to look inside at the engine, and then launched into a funny story about one that he owned when he was in college. It really is quite amazing! Ready to show or drive. She is a wonderful car and a total delight. You would be very lucky to own her. I will be very sad to part with her. NADA GUIDE shows this model with a high retail of $13,700. Hagerty.com shows the following values for this car: #1 Concours- $16,600 #2 Excellent- $11,700 #3 Good- $5800 We believe this vehicle falls in the "excellent" category, and is priced under value. What have I done (or know that has been done) to the car? New paint job with original paint color “Tahiti Blue” New interior New top New front windshieldNew dash coverNew starter New pump for windshield wiper water Replaced rocket cover gasket Gas tank indicator Rebuilt door handle mechanisms New accelerator cable Radiator heat shields New classic side mirrors Dual carbs have been replaced with Weber carb New tonneau cover was made and screws were changed from plastic to stainless on the soft top hood cover. The new tonneau cover now snaps right on the hood cover, so the hood cover can still be in place. This is perfect if you are shopping and want to protect the inside from either prying eyes or rain Bid NOW to buy this piece of history. I want someone to own her that will love her and baby her as much as I do!

1978 Triumph Spitfire, owned, babied and always kept garaged by two classic car collectors for the past 15 years. Not a show car but an excellent driver. I've taken it to several car shows over the years and it fits right in with the best of them. Always stored inside under a cover. Never driven in rain. 71,300 original miles4-speed, no overdriverare Brooklands green original Triumph colorfolder of parts and service receipts going back to the original ownerTriumph Spitfire shop manual and original owners manualzero oil leaks (yes, you read that right)Brakes, oil change, tune-up and transmission rear seal replaced this fallDual Monza Exhaustset of 5 Australian Superlite wheels with Potenza tiresnice tan houndstooth cloth interiororiginal carpet in good shape with Triumph rubber floor matsWood dash in excellent conditiontop is good with zip out rear windowall gauges work including speedo and odometeroriginal single SU carb converted to twin SU'ssmall chip and crack in windshield but replacement windshield is includedminor rust spots in dog legs repaired and painted. It has an am-fm cassette deck but trust me, you'll never listen to it with the way this car sounds. I have 12 collector cars and will be selling my two Triumph's this winter. The other is a beautiful 1980 TR7 convertible in the same Brooklands green color- feel free to contact me if interested. Only selling to clear garage space for some spring shopping. Also for sale locally. Sold "as-is" and no warrantees or guarantees are given or implied. I have done my best to describe the overall condition of this car as I know it. I'm not a mechanic and I don't work on my cars, so while I will be happy to try and answer any questions, I am limited in my mechanical knowledge- I always have my collector cars serviced by a local European car specialist. Personal inspections are encouraged. I am located in Earlysville, Va., only a few miles from the Charlottesville, Va. airport.

You're looking at the best of Europe. Italian styling wrapped in a nimble British package and named after a famous WWII fighter plane. If this one seems particularly appealing to you, that's because it's fresh from a two-year, frame-off restoration project. This included stripping and priming the whole car (just look at the undercarriage photos) to ensure that there would be no future issues with the super straight body. The bright yellow paint is the perfect shade for this classic roadster. A sprightly and aggressive bumblebee of a car like this one deserves a bold color that announces this car is here for fun. These final 1500 series Spitfires had arguably some of the best styling cues of the bunch with the flat rear end that was a cue taken from larger Triumphs like the Stag, and the steel wheels can be fitted with trim rings like they were Chevy's rally units. The Spitfire was always about representing the plucky nature of a British sports car. That meant an interior built for function, but in true English fashion, craftsmanship was still a priority. This nature is at its best in this roadster because nearly everything was rebuilt or replaced during its full restoration. That's why the tan vinyl on the seats looks the same as when this car got off the boat in 1977. The real wood dashboard is smooth and beautiful with plenty of room to hold the heater/defrost controls and the full gauge package. From the moment you slip behind the wheel you know why Spitfires were legendary. The three-spoke sports steering wheel is the perfect diameter, and your right hand just naturally rests on the gearstick. This will fit you like a glove, and make you want to play hooky on every sunny day. If the weather does turn gray and wet, then just remove the convertible boot cover and raise the tan vinyl top with one hand. The final series of Spitfires received the largest motor of the bunch. A 1.5-liter four-cylinder might not seem like much, but there's much more to this story. The powerplant was completely rebuilt less than 200 miles ago with upgrades that include twin HS4 SU carburetors, bored .030 over kit, Kent camshaft, solid state ignition, and stainless header and exhaust. So this is little Spitfire knows how to get aggressive without losing its sprightly charm. And that's exactly how these became so popular. The car barely tipped the scales but had a level of rigidity not seen on other roadsters of its day. These were built on a solid backbone chassis with lightweight metal partial unibody. This gave them a solid but nimble feeling on the backroads, and it only got better when paired with the four-speed manual transmission w/electronic overdrive and front disc brakes. This Spitfire almost seems too good to be true, but we have restoration photos and receipts that prove the amount of sweat equity (and money) someone invested. As such, this car is being sold at a significant loss to the restorer and the lucky buyer of this car is going to benefit without having to foot the bill of an expensive restoration. The current owner of the car has requested to keep the original restoration photos but we can make copies upon request to stay with the car. Indeed, this may be one of the nicest Triumph Spitfire's in the entire world. It's an amazing roadster that will bring you more open top joy than anything at even double the asking price. Have a 1973 Triumph Spitfire for sale. Many new parts, car runs and drives. The car could use a frame up restoration. Will include a replacement frame and other parts to aid you with the project. The car has been sprayed with primer. I have owned this car for about 18 years and have done a lot of work on it to make it drivable. As you can see it still needs work. The car is located in Milwaukee, WI. Local pick up only will not ship. Would prefer cash payment upon pick up. Car will need to be trailered. Please email any questions or I can provide a phone number and we can talk. Some of the work I have done is as follows: Replaced the brakes to include new master cylinder. Had radiator core replaced. New muffler and exhaust pipe. New tires, still in great shape for being 10 years old. Installed an electronic ignition system. The front suspension has been rebuilt. The dashboard has been replaced with a solid walnut one, all gages function correctly. The floor pans and rockers have been replaced, one rocker is bent and will need some attention or replaced. Extra parts that I will include in the sell as follows: Quick Ratio Steering rack, new old stock. New rear leaf spring. Copper brake line kit. MK4 frame, have used replacement bonnet brackets. For sale is a beautiful 1966 Triumph Spitfire Mark 2 1147cc with it's original, matching numbers, engine and transmission. Included is the rare original steel hardtop although that needs to be refinished. I have been the second owner of this gem since 1991. The Spitfire has been fully restored. Restoration included repairing all body work and a professional paint job. New interior and convertible top. Refresh of the engine, transmission, clutch, suspension, brakes, and carburetor systems. . The chrome trim and front bumper are original and have been polished. The rear chrome bumpers are new. Car has black and white hounds-tooth high back seats from a later model Spitfire 1500. Included are the original low back seats in black with white piping that are in great condition. All gauges are in good working order. Also added an electric fan to the radiator and have had no overheating issues. The frame was cleaned of rust and treated. The body work and paint job is absolutely stunning and really shine. You won't find a nice painted Spitfire. Since the restoration was completed this car has been a reliable driver that I would take down to the beach for the weekend or cruise around in style. The car has sporty handling and feels like a big go-kart. A great car to cruise in and enjoy the scenery. The car gets a great deal of attention wherever it is driven. It's a great "see and be seen" car and holds its own against the all the muscle cars at cruise nights. This car has won several awards at shows and was featured in an all Triumph calendar published by Eastgate Classics in 2002. I have purchased my British dream car and have decided to let this one go so a third owner can enjoy. The car starts right up and goes. It has a great exhaust note and darts around like a go-kart. This is a perfect car for someone who wants something reliable and a little different. It's a great attention getter!!! The parts are easy to come by and very reasonably priced. The car is located and can be seen in Port St. Lucie Florida. The buyer will be responsible for shipping. I'm asking $9500 but feel free to give me a counter offer. I think that is a fair price for the car and it's condition.

For sale is a beautiful 1973 Triumph Spitfire Mark IV 1500 with it's original, matching numbers, engine and transmission. The car was made while the factory was upgrading the Spitfire model from the MK IV to the 1500 and this car has both sets of badges. The engine is the 1500cc engine from the later 1500. Car was restored to a good driving condition about 6 years ago by my father and I. Restoration included repairing all body work and a professional paint job. New interior and convertible top. Refresh of the engine, transmission, clutch, suspension, brakes, and carburetor systems. New wiring harness installed (no more prince of darkness Lucas electrics!) New gas tank and new electric fuel pump. All chrome trim and bumpers are original and have been polished. Car has black leather seats and custom made denim seat covers with Union Jack Flag insets (Black leather gets hot on a summer drive!) All gauges are in good working order and we added an auxiliary temperature gauge wired into the thermostat. Also added an electric fan to the radiator and have had no overheating issues. Original wood dash has been re-veneered and looks great. The frame was cleaned of rust and POR-15 coated. There aren't too many Spitfires around and everywhere I drove it I always got people giving me thumbs up and coming over to ask about it when stopped. It's a great "see and be seen" car and holds its own against the all the muscle cars at cruise nights. The last time I entered the car in a ranked show (all british) the car scored an 85 out of 100. I was very happy with that as I built it to be a driver and not a show car. However the car has sat for two years and life has gotten in the way a bit so it's time to sell my baby. I want someone else to enjoy it as much as I have. The car still starts and runs great however the clutch fluid disappears (no puddle beneath the car) and the clutch starts acting up when driving. It could be as simple as bleeding the lines but I haven't been able to look at it in depth. The engine bay could use some fresh paint and line organization and the car would really be in perfect shape. A great car for someone looking to have a unique car to drive and tinker with! The perfect hobby car! The car is located and can be seen in Kutztown, PA. The buyer will be responsible for shipping. I'm asking $8500 but feel free to give me a counter offer. I think that is a fair price for the car and it's condition. Thanks.

For sale is a 1996 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MK2. This was purchased by the current owner in 1976, driven into a garage (concrete floor), removed most of the exterior parts for a restoration and sat for the last 39 years. Car shows 57,752 on the odometer, I have no way to verify this as correct, although I suspect it is accurate and not turned over, due to only in service for 10 years in Wisconsin. There are 24 pictures to view and should explain what you need to know about the condition. I will say it appears to be very restorable, the floors are solid, front and rear, the cowl looks good, firewall good, the header bow is perfect and does not appear to have been in any accidents. There is some sort of fiberglass work in the trunk so this looks like the worst part in terms of restore. Both doors have issues, includes glass and did roll the drivers side up and down. Engine looks complete short the air cleaners, and does turn, not locked. Includes all the extra parts in the last picture, will be included as will the Autopress service manual show in the pictures. I have a clean 1973 Wisconsin title in hand ready for you to transfer. Having said this I am not an expert on these cars, have restored many domestic cars in the past, I am giving my opinion only. Have to regrettably let go of my 1980 Triumph Spitfire. Due to some changes with my work/life schedule, I will not have the time as previously thought to own and maintain my car. Breaks my heart, but it is what it is. I acquired this car last summer from the Midwest, and as such it is a rust free vehicle - which is tough to find on these old British Sports cars. Although owned for a short period of time, I babied it, was stored in a heated garage and was prepping for it to be driven quite a bit this summer. Its had oil changed and a fresh coat of wax put on her. I dropped in a brand-new battery 2 months ago as well. This is the original red color too, but was repainted 10 or so years ago, according to the PO. The previous owner has done a good job storing this Triumph. You will be the fourth owner (theoretically, the third because I haven't put her on the road) of this LBC after counting my stint with it. Although insured (will cancel at auctions end), I never did get the chance to put plates on the car yet, and have the open title and original paperwork in hand from the PO to give the new owner once payment goes through my bank to acquire the lien release I have on the car. This formality should only take an additional day or two to clear up once sold. That being said, it is in fantastic mechanical shape without any issues to speak of aside from a few very minor fixes. The interior is in great shape and clean. Has tan leather seats with the triumph wreath logo embossed on them. The wooden dash is in good shape, but show some slight warping/cracking due to age. These are a cinch to swap out. Although working, the parking brake "idiot light" has gone out. Has thatched floor mats on top of standard carpet which is also in great shape. This is the one real issue - The "tenths" on the odometer seem to be moving super-quick, and the lowdown I got from the PO was that it had something to do with the speedometer cable, although once acquired a good friend who is well educated on the topic said It could be due to an upgraded camshaft from the PO. That I cannot confirm at this time - but it is mighty peppy. Also has a fully electronic ignition, with a crane cams piece installed. No troublesome points and condenser. Has Pioneer cd player, which sounds great. Comes with some extra fuses as well. Convertible top is in great shape with no tears or fading of the rear plastic. The trunk has the original unused spare tire with cover. The PO said the true mileage is actually 66,000, and As mentioned before, shows 88,000 however. PO put in a new rack/pinion for steering and swapped out for a new alternator. Tires are high-quality and have a lot of tread left. You may see my asking price and balk, but please know two things - 1) the car is in fantastic shape, very close to being show ready, and 2) the car comes with many, many extras. The extras include - an overdrive transmission (already a $1,500 and hard to find item, with stick shift engagement and drive shaft), an extra exhaust header, a tonneau cover (for those hot days with case), high quality tan triumph seat covers (A close to $200 value- these are available through Moss and Vicky Brit to see the cost), original carburetter (zenith-Stromberg) and intake manifold, new clutch and more. IF the auction goes above $6,800 I will throw in over $400 worth of hard-to-find books on the Spitfire (Kaz Kastners books, books on the weber and lucas electronics), including about a dozen English-printed Triumph Magazines, but I may elect to sell separately or not include if the auction does not go that high. Do message me if interested. A picture of the literature is in the auction here.As said earlier, the car is in fine mechanical condition. All British cars leak oil from time to time, but this does very little. Exhaust burns clean and clear (no blue smoke whatsoever). Transmission shifts just fine, and comes with upgraded walnut knob I had put on last summer. Original knob will obviously be included. Car also has an Italian-made (not the replica) Weber sidedraft carburetter, which has been a joy in my experience with it. This really pains me to sell, as I had some serious plans for it, but the timing of the work/life balance just isn't right currently. As with anything I sell, I stand by my items and will do my best to answer any questions you have pertaining, and can send more pictures. This is a close to 40 year old car, and have done my very best to represent it for what it is - a great classic car in even better shape for its age. As such, I make no warrantees. You are responsible for shipping and or pickup, but I will try my best to help the buyer. Please do not be shy in contacting me for help or any questioning. I will provide my phone # if need be, and will make myself available any way I can. Please note the car is also for sale locally, and will end the auction if need be.

What I have to offer is a 1963 Spitfire 4 made December 1962. This is the 695th Triumph Spitfire to be built. The mileage on the car is 10,190 miles & I believe these to be actual. I purchased the car in 2010 from the second owner , who acquired it form an estate in Chicago. He owned the car for approximately 20 years and the car had 4K on the odometer when he acquired it. The years of his ownership spent was on refurbishing , cleaning and showing the car. I have all the receipts from his ownership and what I have spent on the car. He was told the car had a racing history but no log book was with the car. I have a reason to believe this since the car had a 5.56 rear end and a transmission scatter-shield in place. I replaced the 5.56 with a stock rear end. This rear end and scatter-shield will be sold with the car.Since I have owned the car I have finished what the second owner had started. Putting it in in tip top condition. I have receipts for over 7,000.00 in parts and labor on my part. This is a real nice car that everything works. It has won First in Class when it has been shown. I have put period correct radials on the car, new black Wilton Wool carpet.pertronix ignition, Moto lita steering wheel( Have the factory wheel also). AM-FM radio conversion on proper Triumph Am radio. It has a new stainless steel exhaust that is in the trunk along with a toneau cover from Prestige Auto Trim Products LTD. There may a a nicer Spitfire 4 out there but I haven't seen it. This is not a car for everyone. The early build date and low mileage sits it apart. If you would like to get more information on the car I can be reached at 615-799-5356 after 6 pm usually. One really need to come and check out the vehicle if interested. I do not sell cars for a living, I practice Dentistry 4 days a week. This is listed for sale in other venues along with my 1600 MGA and 1948 MGTC. This car is subject to sell before the end of the listing.

For sale my freshly rebuilt Cylinder Head for a Mk3 Triumph Spitfire Sports car! This is a fresh completely rebuilt Head that is ready to bolt on to your Mk3 Spitfire. Though they are tough little cars the MK3 Spitfire's are approaching 40 years old. Though they are still running , many are performing at a fraction of the power they had "Back in the day!". By bolting on this brand new fresh cylinder head you should instantly recapture the "Thrill of youth" as well as see your tired old Spit run like a new car again.I purchased this Finished Head a few years ago in order to complete a Spitfire restoration I was doing. By the time it arrived, I had finished the car and could not bring myself to take it apart again. The head has been in dry storage wrapped up in oil cloth ever since. The head is stamped with the serial/part # (515973) and on the face it is stamped (008). Your satisfaction with this part is 100% guaranteed. If you are for any reason (or no reason at all) dis-satisfied with this item, I (upon the return of the head) will instantly and cheerfully send you a full refund, NO QUESTIONS ASKED!I am happy to entertain any and all offers on this part. Make an offer and I will box it for you at no cost but the shipping expense is on you. Give me a call, we will work it out.
