The car benefits from full bare metal repaint in 1998 and over the years has undergone a comprehensive restoration and upkeep including all mechanical and new interior. The car has always been well maintained and has has the benefit of timely, full servicing. The fuel injection system is rebuilt stock with new wiring harness. Every day that I take my P1800ES on the road, at least two people will stop, stare and inquire about the vehicle and ask if they can take pictures. The most common comment made is that the car makes them "happy". It is one of only 8077 produced for the model years 1972 and 1973. This is a 42 year old automobile that will serve you well for many years to come. Since my purchase in 1981 it has been my one and only driving machine. It has always been dependable for both local and long distance trips. For the past 20 years, the car has been garaged for 6 months out of every year while I am away on business. This was the car that I wanted ever since I saw one in 1972. After 35 years of faithful service, the time has come for me to pass my great little car on to someone who will be as taken by it as I am. I am looking for a good home for my faithful friend. It's in amazing shape for a 42 year old car... not a trailer queen but pretty close. I have used this car as my main transportation, both local and long distance, for the past 34 years, and it has always proved to be a faithful, dependable machine, serving me well. It is the only car I have owned since its purchase in 1981 and has always been my everyday car. Purchased from the previous owner in 1981, I have all of the previous owners records, along with those maintenance/parts receipts I've accumulated since its purchase. This P1800ES is comfortable and great fun to drive while getting lots of attention and receiving constant "thumbs up." A more rust-free example would be hard to find. Books, Repair/Service Manuals, Rolling Magazines and maintenance records from the late 1970's come with the purchase of this vehicle. I also have a small collection of books dedicated to the history and maintenance of the P1800ES, Including Bill Webb's "Swedish Iron" =================================== History of Use and Weather exposure: This has always been a West Coast automobile, located in the Bay Area, and does not have the usual rust problems so often seen in cars which have been in other severe climate areas. There is minor paint bubbling behind front wheels, low on body panel which will require rust removal and repainting. There are minor cracks in paint on the top of the front right cowling. Body is still in great condition and always gets compliments by passers by. The car was purchased by me in 1981 and I have been maintaining it ever since. The car is in great mechanical condition and comes with the original jack, tools, owner’s manual, service manual and maintenance records. This is a collector’s dream! One of the nicest examples of this highly desired and sought after model found on the market today! ES values have been steadily appreciating, this is an opportunity to own a quality example. Fully restored body in 1998 with no signs of rust (pictures available), rebuilt fuel-injected engine, manual low mileage transmission, new interior, Bilstein suspension, 4-speakers, undercarriage sealed, new tires Michelin 185/70-15, all new rubber and weatherstripping , stock exhaust system with new headers (non stock) which adds 15% to engine horsepower, etc, etc.. All replacement parts have been original replacement except as noted. All work order/parts receipts available from late 1970's to present. Interior: New original replacement seats, panels, dash, headliner, carpeting, etc. The interior is only 3 years old since its installation and in superb shape. Excellent and supple original leather/vinyl interior. The dash pad is new, excellent and original to this car. New carpet installed. Factory console and floor shifter. Original gauges in place. New headliner and sun shades. Engine: Rebuilt Original Volvo fuel-injected Transmission: original replacement rebuilt, low mileage 4-speed manual with electric over-drive transmission Bosch fuel injection system rebuilt New electrical wiring harness Electronic ignition system update (original components available) It never misses or fails to start. Very hard to come by, Bosch computer interface and analyzer for fuel injection system. Coil: New Disk Brakes: New disks, calipers, pads, etc. Completely new system. The four wheel power assisted brake system is standard. Old paint taken down to bare metal with no apparent visible signs of rust( photos available upon request). New undercoating applied after steam cleaning. ==================================== DISCLOSURE ITEMS: Future Mechanical and Chrome Repairs by next owner: You will have to do very little work to fix a few items and bring the car up to Show Room Condition: Volt meter works but amp meter needs to be connected. Odemeter needs rebuild. Turn signals need rebuild. Operational but return needs work. Starter motor is making some noises. Though it still works, it will need replacement. Side trim needs retooling and re-chroming due to bang marks from other cars opening their doors into my car (What can I say...some people have no respect). Chrome wheel beauty rings need slight repair and re-chroming. They are one of the few items not original replacement. Front bumper could use re-chroming for a showroom finish. Clock needs rebuild Shift boot cover needs replacement. Stainless trim is generally excellent, except for dings on side trim from car doors opening into my vehicle (...what can I say about other drivers with no respect for Classics on the road?). Otherwise, chrome is in good condition. You may want to re-chrome front bumper. If you have been looking for a beautiful Volvo V70 wagon and would love the have the more desireable 2.5T Turbo model then you are going to LOVE my 2006 V70 wagon that is a 1-owner Florida Volvo that is clean as can be inside and out! If you are familiar with Volvo's then you know they will run much longer then ordinary vehicles so this V70 with only 107k miles is just getting started. This V70 was bought new right here in Ft. Myers at our local Volvo dealership and traded back in at that same Volvo dealership by the orginal owner in this shape. It received a great Autocheck report score of 88 points out of an average rating of between 79-88 points so you know it has a great history. Autocheck did show a minor accident a year ago but there was no damage, all the paint is original and the Autocheck score is perfect. And being a true Florida car there is no rust and even the underside is nice and clean, you won't see that on any northern vehicle. It drives tight as new and has no issues. The exterior looks wonderful with a deep Volvo shine and no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. There is a roof rack and NO hitch so this V70 has NOT been pulling anything, which is nice. The factory aluminum wheels are sporty looking and the tires have fair tread remaining to help it handle and ride nice and smooth. The interior is spotless with no stains, rips or odors and this is a non-smoker's car so it is very fresh inside. The leather seats look great both front and rear and they are nice and soft. There is plenty of room inside and a good amount of storage area in the hatch area which too is spotless. All the power options work great including the ice cold air conditioning, power sunroof and cd stereo. Look close at the pictures, it looks every bit this nice in person. What a pleasure to drive, so smooth and quiet. The powerful 2.5T Turbo engine runs smooth as silk and should with these low miles and it will deliver 27mpg on the highway! It is MUCH more fun to drive with the turbo engine over the base model. The brakes are smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles and there are no service lights on, just as you would expect from a 1-owner Florida Volvo. Look it over good and I am sure once you see and take it for a spin around the block you are sure to fall in love and in this shape you are sure to be in love for a long, long time. A 2008 Volvo C30 T-5 Turbo "R" Edition in excellent condition inside and out. This is a local Ft. Myers car serviced at the local Volvo dealership with a nice clean Carfax report and clean Florida title. And being a true Florida car there is no rust and even the underside is still like new. This is a really cool car. It is the top of the line C30 model and the "R" model really sets this car apart from the ordinary models out there. And this one has a few sporty add on's including sport exhaust, cold air intake and performance suspension springs. It really is fun to drive and it gets 30mpg on the highway as well! The exterior looks great and is a black pearl color with no dents, fade or rust. The factory aluminum wheels look great and the tires are near new to help it handle and ride great. The interior too is spotless and this is a fresh non-smoker's car as well. The heated leather two tone seats are nice and soft and show near new both front and rear and there is plenty of head and legroom and a good sized hatch area. All the power options work great including the Cd stereo, power sunroof and ice cold air conditioning to name a few. The whole interior is as close to new as possible and really is sporty looking. What a fun car to drive! The peppy turbo engine runs smooth as silk and should with these miles and great service records. The cluch feels great and the 6-speed shifts nice and smooth, no problems at all.
