This 2 dr. Wagon is a very rare and desirable car that you won't see anywhere else on the road or even at car shows! Pontiac Pathfinders were manufactured in Canada on a Chevrolet chassis and were not made anymore after 1958. So while this car shares the Pontiac name with the US Safari model it is not the same vehicle. A 1957 Safari in good condition is considered rare but their production numbered 2934 that year and the Pathfinder 2 dr. wagon was less than 500. I have never seen another windowed one with the one piece liftgate either which adds to the rarity of this car. Go ahead and Google around and you will find out how rare this vehicle is!The car was mildly rodded a number of years ago. A 327 ci was installed, 3 spd auto w/cooler, headers/dual exhaust, air conditioning, tilt wheel and rebuilt interior to name a few of the mods which were all tastefully done without compromising the original flavor of the car. It drives fine and has good power. Not sure what the rear end ratio is but it favors the upper end and is not a tire burner off the line but cruises effortlessly. The original shoe brakes front and rear were redone but also includes a disc brake kit for the front that is not installed. The paint and chrome are all original but there is only some surface rust on the vehicle and no rot and never any actual body damage. Not a drop of bond on the car! There is a fully louvered hood that comes with the car that is in great shape also. While you will see Nomads and Safari's for sale you will never see another one of these so don't miss out on the opportunity to own this. It is a thumbs up car wherever you take it in the condition it is in and will baffle all but the most knowledgable car nut as to just what the heck it is! Clear Oregon title is in my possession. With a solid foundation laid, Steve Cooley Motors of Homosassa, Florida followed subtle modification with a custom combination of Corvette LeMans Blue and Cadillac Sand Effect DuPont Chroma Premier 2-stage. And today, countless hours and over six-figures later, this Chevy rolls as a lights-out show car that's been deservedly fawned over by some of the biggest names in the business. As a classic car owner, you really can't go wrong with any '50s Chevy. But for many people, the division's '57 model essentially perfected the art. Take a look at this gorgeous wagon and you'll see no less than 22 one-of-a-kind details that walk a fine aesthetic line between the timeless look of factory fodder and the radical, sometimes cheeky appearance of fiberglass recreations. At the front of the car, a recessed grille bar floats between modern headlamps, a filled bumper and a shaved and flattened hood. ENGINE As young car guys, most of us are taught that talking the talk means we'd better walk the walk. And when it comes to talking the talk, this sedan's inability to shut up can be directly attributed to the walking ability afforded by its 502 cubic inch GM Performance Parts big block. Twisting stout 9.75 to 1 compression into roughly 550 horsepower, the car's show-detailed mill is a logical testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower. A perfect air/fuel mixture is supplied by a K&N-toothed Billet Specialties air cleaner and 780cfm Quick Fuel carburetion. That dynamic duo rides on a ported and coated Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, which is bolted between ported and coated Chevrolet heads. Those heads hang polished and color-keyed valve covers over Crower roller rockers, custom Comp pushrods and high quality Crane lifters. Those lifters are tapped by a Crane cam, which is sequenced to loomed Taylor plug wires and an MSD Pro-Billet distributor. Spent gases roar through large exhaust pipes via custom William's headers. At the front of those headers, a familiar Vintage Air FrontRunner system spins a polished Stewart water pump between a Tuff Stuff alternator, a Sanden AC compressor and a Detroit Speed power steering pump. And that water pump feeds a beefy Griffin radiator that's wedged between Flex-a-lite puller fans and a Be Cool condenser. Visually, the Energy-mounted block rides in a smoothed and massaged engine bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly. And details like Billet Specialties breathers, Billet Specialties hose clamps, a Billet Specialties water neck, ARP bolts, Fel-Pro gaskets and a Moroso dipstick create a clean and purposeful aesthetic. DRIVETRAIN Take a look under this tire-shredding courier and you'll find a custom, Luxo-Blue chassis that's ready for the strip or the turntable. Behind the big engine, a GM 700R4 4-speed spins between a high performance ProTorque torque converter and Coleman aluminum driveshaft. That driveshaft twists a proven Dutchman 9-inch that rocks an Auburn posi-traction differential around 3.55 gears and 31-spline axles. Those gears push the car on a trick Ridetech 4-link that's fitted with adjustable Ridetech air shocks. Opposite that 4-link, a Kimbridge Enterprises sub-frame makes good use of Belltech drop spindles, Global West control arms, a Flaming River quick-ratio steering box and two more adjustable Ridetech air shocks. At the corners of that modern suspension, hydroboosted Baer calipers bridge the gap between an SSBC master cylinder, and drilled and slotted rotors. INTERIOR Pop the shaved doors and you'll find a substantially tweaked interior that was installed by Great 8 guru Dale Van Curen's Unlimited Designs. Now onto the truck for sale here: This RHD Land Rover 110 had one registered owner in the UK before I purchased it. It was made in late 1987, and has all the features of a 1988 Model Year truck. It spent a good deal of its life in Africa, so does not suffer from a lot of the rust problems that your usual UK trucks may have. Has had some repairs however in the past and is now a solid, ready-to-use truck. As you can see it has an external roll cage already installed. Also has big oversize tires and fender flares to accommodate them. Best of all perhaps, this truck has AIR CONDITIONING! Fitted front and rear in the custom (and very nice) headliner, there are many vents for both front and rear passengers. Truck is being transported with its original equipment, however, upon arrival here and customs clearance, I will be bringing it into my shop to install a nice 200tdi turbo-diesel engine into it, which not only greatly improves the performance and economy, but increases value of the vehicle by about 50%. Truck will be able to go freeway speeds here in the USA, tow reasonable trailer loads, and get an average of 25MPG doing it. LT77 5-speed transmission shifts nice with no trouble or funny noises. This Defender 110 also has a steel lockable cubby box, CD player/ stereo, and even a CUP HOLDER! Dash looks otherwise standard with a few extra switches for the air conditioning controls. Frame chassis is very solid, as mentioned before truck spent a good deal of its life in Africa.
