The Dodge Viper ACR remains the ultimate purpose-built, street-legal track car since its introduction in 2008. For the 2010 year model, changes include a shorter fifth gear ratio for improved acceleration and speeds. This came as a direct result of the lap record the ACR took at the NÜrburgring Nordschleife, where it was found that this shorter ratio would have allowed an even faster lap time.
