This 1952 Chevy coupe, for example, was completed just a few years ago and includes upgrades like a 327 cubic inch V8 and an overdrive transmission without losing its original look. So why waste months or years building yours when this one is available for such a reasonable price? Put your own spin on it and get out there and start having fun! You're in luck with this Chevy, because the work was quite well done, which means very clean sheetmetal that has a classic early '50s look that still hadn't joined the jet age. A few body tweaks make it look unique, from the nosed and decked hood to all the shaved trim, it definitely shows the work of a talented craftsman. The finish is quite good, with a depth and shine that comes from careful prep and plenty of time invested on the back side with color sanding, buffing, and plenty of TLC since it was finished. Basic black works well on any car from the early '50s, and this one has an honest look that will certainly fool a lot of folks into thinking it's purely stock, which was probably the builder's intention all along. After all, why mess with a good thing? And the good news is that all the chrome remains in excellent shape and the stainless has been buffed up to look great, making this one smartly dressed little coupe. The gray cloth interior offers a nice contrast to the black bodywork, and nobody can argue that it doesn't look period-correct and it should wear like iron. Factory bench seats front and rear offer great comfort and support for long hauls, and pleated door panels continue the factory vibe. The dashboard got smothered in a custom stainless fascia with the instruments being modern dials that have a distinctly vintage look. There's an under-dash A/C unit that seems to fit like it was born there, and a modern tilt steering column uses a leather-wrapped wheel from a late-model. In the center of the dash there's a modern AM/FM/CD stereo head unit and a custom-built wood center console is there to hold your drinks. Pop the trunk and you'll find a very original-looking cargo bay, right down to the rubber mat and original spare wheel with bias-ply tire. Plenty of power is on tap, courtesy of a mid-60s 327 cubic inch V8, and that's horsepower that'll never go out of style. Lots of chrome and billet aluminum, an Edelbrock intake and carb, and an HEI ignition system give it modern looks and performance, and things like the alternator and A/C compressor make it reliable. Smooth inner fenders and firewall provide a great backdrop for the engine itself, and someone obviously spent some time making the plumbing and wiring look neat. The undercarriage is clean, anchored by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and the stock rear end, while the front suspension is pretty stock with a Saginaw power steering setup. Steel wheels with wire wheelcovers from a later Caprice Classic complete the look and are wrapped in 235/75/15 whitewall radials all around. A fun, reliable cruiser that has a ton of eyeball appeal. It's also affordable and ready to go. Why wait? But, while those extensively customized rigs are always cool to look at, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 manages to carry the same level of appeal without any major gimmicks. That's because, as we've stated numerous times, old school pickups are timeless slices of Americana that'll likely never go out of style. The recipient of a professional, frame-off restoration, this Chevy exhibits a level of quality that was simply unobtainable on 1940s assembly lines. Pairing a correct 216 cubic inch 6-cylinder with a correct Saginaw 3-speed and sublime Horizon Blue paint, it's sure to turn heads. And, if you're in the market for some sweet collector metal that can be driven, shown and fully enjoyed, it's exactly the ride you've been looking for! BODYWORK/TRIM Fresh out of the restoration shop, this mint Chevy has been meticulously rebuilt to preserve all the innate appeal of GM's popular Advance Design aesthetic. The truck's expressive body panels have been bathed in a rich coat of Horizon Blue 2-stage and accented with tasteful yellow pin stripes. Under that retro pigment, an incredibly straight fuselage hangs solid panels that, with the exception of a thorough massage during the aforementioned reboot, appear to have led a quiet, drama-free existence. Those massaged panels feature better-than-factory alignment and, when opened and closed, sound solid and function exceptionally well. And that functional body's combination of excellent reflections and Kansas-flat surfaces suggest many labor-intensive hours were spent exacting top-notch finish work. While its basic shape is certainly appealing, first rate detailing is what makes this pickup really pop. At the front of the truck, a Horizon Blue grille centers gray-trimmed bars between clean halogen headlights and a glossy gray bumper. Behind that grille, a Chevrolet-branded hood leads the eye to a spilt windshield, which fronts a 3-window greenhouse. At the sides of that hood, black running boards combine with chrome door handles, black mirrors and a color-keyed fuel filler to create a simple, attractive profile. At the back of those boards, a fully painted bed adds tangible credibility to a classic work truck theme. And at the back of that bed, a stamped tailgate reflects black taillights, sleeved chains and a second gray bumper. ENGINE Hoist the truck's domed hood and you'll find a 216 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder that's branded with a correct "KAA" assembly stamp. Introduced for use in large platforms, and regarded as one of the all-time great Chevrolet powerplants, the Thriftmaster is a favorite among vintage GM truck buyers because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. A petite Rochester carburetor and old school air cleaner combine with a tagged Delco-Remy starter, a tagged Delco-Remy generator, a beefy radiator and 6-volt Delco-Remy electricals to keep the engine clean and functional. And items like satin fenders, a glossy horn, bold "Thriftmaster" lettering, a bright oil canister and traditional gray skin ensure the mill is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this classy bowtie reveals a clean frame and straight floorpans that have been coated in a nice layer of Satin Black paint. Power is put to the ground through a traditional Saginaw 3-speed, which hangs a correct 591907 casting number in front of a driver-friendly rear end. Correct leaf springs and drum brakes occupy all four corners of this chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A single-pipe exhaust system, which is wired to a large muffler, runs the whole length of the truck. And everything rolls on familiar steel wheels, which turn 6.50-16 BF Goodrich Silvertown 4-plys around blue paint, yellow pinstripes and hand- lettered Chevrolet hubcaps. INTERIOR When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a crisp Burgundy cockpit that's full of utilitarian charm. A vinyl bench seat complements small door panels, a tight headliner and a black floor mat. A "CHEVROLET" branded steering wheel spins around fully restored gauges. And warm heat and a retro AM radio make country drives a little more civilized. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA vintage marketing brochureA vintage Operator's Manual If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a professional restoration with unmatched style and unparalleled fun, this truck deserves your full attention. A truck like this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 even looks like it's grinning, but beneath its vintage appeal still beats the heart of a workhorse. It will be hard to find a pickup that looks this nice and so authentically vintage. The cream and red color might not have been the original combination when this truck first showed up for farm duty, but today it seems like the perfect way to instantly connect with 1950s nostalgia. This is the kind of truck that will become the new family heirloom, so we won't even bat an eye when you stencil the name on the side of your fictitious father and son feed-n-seed company, or your current business for promotion. Then again, you might want to think about going into the oil business with the Mobil Pegasus already attached to the wooden bed-rails. The side lumber matches the real wood in the truck bed. In fact, all of this material is another sign of a careful restoration, because wood can't go untouched 63 years on this earth and continue to look this good. This one even has desirable upgrades that range from the functional fog lights, to the great-looking chrome grille, and whitewall tires. Part of the appeal of a pickup like this is its no-nonsense, working-class interior. The original bench seat was upholstered in brown vinyl atop the original tubular frame, which was painted cream to match the rest of the interior. A rubber mat was standard equipment too, with simple door panels that are cardboard inserts with lightly padded armrests, all framed by the steel of the door. The feeling of this interior creates an atmosphere that instantly reminds you of the pride in an honest day's work. But even when you do come in from the fields, this truck can be nice and warm, thanks to its original heater. The driver gets the kind of three-spoke embossed steering wheel that was purely functional decades ago, but today it is beautifully artistic. Behind that is an original gauge cluster with readouts for the fuel, water temperature, oil pressure, and battery, because this pickup is from a time when people wanted to know just that vital info. Lift the hood, and the 216 cubic-inch straight-six motor was restored to be impressive in a very unique way. A truck this honest on the outside could never have a chrome-filled engine bay. Instead, the bright blue Chevy block draws all the attention to the Thriftmaster, perfectly stenciled in yellow. The whole motor screams originality, but you can tell everything from the distributor to the oil bath air cleaner are much more "spick-n-span" then the days when this pickup was a daily workhorse. But just because this is now a valued classic, does not mean it can't get the job done. The engine still produces the kind of torque that made these an industrial legend, and the nicely upgraded four-speed manual transmission further enhances its usability. Overall, going for a drive in this pickup is a fun experience thanks the great rumble from a rhythmic motor that doesn't now how to quit. An authentic vintage truck is not for everyone. There will be no speed records in this pickup, but this will cruise nicely. And for the right person, every day can feel like a Sunday drive. As mentioned before, we cant keep these 3100's in our showroom, especially as nice as this one is. Willing to put in long hours and look good doing it, this workhorse can still be used as a truck. Capture the best of both worlds with a hobby vehicle that you can use as Chevrolet intended, and still drive it to the local cruise night where it'll draw a crowd. OK, let's admit it, nearly anything looks good in burgundy paint, particularly vintage vehicles with lots of curves. The luscious metallic paint lets all those great '50s shapes stand out without making it look excessively modern. That desirable 5 window cab is topped with a restored spot light. With straight bodywork that's uncommon on old trucks, it gets a ton of attention on the street and a lot of folks fall in love at first sight. Today it's a great-looking example of a show-and-go pickup that's fully sorted and nicely turned out. Gaps are probably better than commercial vehicles of the period, and the blacked out grill adds a custom touch. Inside it's still basic and simple, but carries enough details to give it a purposeful and upscale look. The bench seat wears black vinyl upholstery, pleated for a period look and added comfort. The original gauges remain in the dash giving a full view of the engine, while an aftermarket Autometer tachometer is the only obvious addition to this cab. This is also one of the rare vintage pickups that seem to have been equipped with a radio when it was new, and the vintage AM radio still resides in the center of the dash. Overall, everything appears clean and well maintained. With a column mounted shifter behind the 3-spoke steering wheel, you'll enjoy your time in this truck whenever you take it out. Power comes from Chevy's 216 cubic inch inline six, also known as the Stove Bolt Six. It's smooth, reliable, rugged, and is finished with bright blue paint and a 1-barrel carburetor. It ticks over with an industrial grumble from the single exhaust, and moves down the road easily. The undercarriage remains stock and the simple ladder frame shows no signs of twisting or previous accidents. It's been professionally maintained and serviced for 16 years, so you can count on dependable hardware and components where it matters. There is even a stock of log books for each year dating back to 1998 documenting the mileage of this truck. There is also a stack of manuals and Chevrolet marketing material included with this sale, as well as a host of replacement parts should you need them anytime soon. But the bottom line is this truck is already a turn-key package that is ready to please. Show it and drive it, this one is ready for duty. This 1952 Chevy panel delivery is one of the slickest street rods we\'ve ever featured. Dramatic and expertly built, it is the kind of machine that attracts crowds everywhere it goes, and you can tell that no detail was overlooked during its construction. It\'s really impressive. Every square inch of the exterior of this truck was painted high-gloss black, which gives it a definite hot rod look. The finish quality suggests that the blackout paint job wasn\'t done just to save money on chrome, but rather to make a unique statement that really works. All the exterior surfaces were sanded, smoothed, painted, and buffed to get that amazing shine that only black cars seem to exhibit. It was carefully assembled and aside from some shaved trim and emblems, uses all the factory components and sheetmetal without major mods. The fact that something from 1952 could look this sleek and sinister is a tribute to both the original design and the talent of the guys who created it as it sits today. The bulging rear fenders give it a very muscular look, and the entire body has a seamless look that looks so right you\'d need a stock one for comparison to see all the tricks. LED taillights, a few well-placed Chevrolet script emblems, and just enough bright trim to add contrast make this a truck that\'s a shoo-in for the big trophy at the next show. If you expected a plain-Jane working class interior, you\'re going to be very pleasantly surprised by the beautifully finished tan upholstery and cargo area. Leather front buckets (the driver\'s side is power-actuated) from a late-model were used as the starting point and everything else was hand-crafted to match. There\'s a custom center console with an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, beautifully sculpted door panels that are as interesting as the rest of the truck, and expertly fitted carpets that wouldn\'t look out of place in a high-end German sedan. The dash was stripped and painted just like the body, with custom Dolphin gauges stuffed into the original instrument panel and A/C vents artfully integrated into the design. A tilt steering column with a billet wheel makes it easy to get comfortable, and that odd device stuck to the windshield ahead of the driver is called a \"Trafficator,\" which allows you to view overhead stop lights even with the visor in place. In back, the cargo bay is fully upholstered, a job that must have taken serious amounts of both time and money, but as you can see, the results were worth it. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch crate engine topped by a Holley double-pumper and an HEI ignition system. It doesn\'t break any new ground, but the hardware is high-quality, including the serpentine belt setup and aluminum radiator, and you know it\'s reliable. With a TH350 3-speed automatic and 3.08 gears in the 10-bolt rear, it\'s a superlative cruiser and popping the hood will generate appropriate levels of appreciation from anyone who sees it. The front suspension uses Fat Man Fabrication A-arms and coil-overs and a rack-and-pinion power steering setup, while leaf springs hold up the rear. A custom-fabricated dual exhaust system has just the right sound with trick center-mounted outlets under the rear bumpers, and there are power front disc brakes for safety. Adding just the right amount of contrast, Eagle Alloy wheels carry 245/45/17 performance radials. It would be absolutely impossible to duplicate this truck for the asking price, and if you want a sure-fire showstopper, you won\'t find one better than this for less money. Call today! Rare 1952 Chevy Styleline Deluxe Sport Sedan. This was a low-production (30,000) edition of the Styleline Deluxe sedan. This model has a more rounded trunk, smaller rear side windows, and higher roof line. The story on this car is that back in the 80's the owner started sanding it down, then the original 6cyl engine froze and it was put in a garage and left there for 20+ years. Now out of said garage, it has a SBC 350 engine, Edelbrock Performer intake, beautiful Carter 4bbl carb, Dodge 8 3/4" rear end, dual exhaust with glasspacks, and a Turbo 350 automatic tranny. It has been converted over to a 12v system.I have the front and rear bumpers, plus bumper guards (for those of you that know these cars, you know these are VERY hard to find). They aren't pristine, but they aren't bad. I also have located replacement grille pieces, again at considerable expense. I have the material for the headliner and wind lace, and for $200 above the sale price I will have it installed for you. The car has 76,xxx original miles on it. Battery relocated to the trunk. New gas tank. Nice Torque Thrust wheels. So there are some things you'd want to do:Brake cylinders--you'll need to do the fronts. Available through Kanter. I have just replaced the front brake hoses.Front end--I'd get this rebuilt as there is some play in it and it's old. I had thought about doing a Mustang II or IFS front end. Rebuild kits available through Kanter.Rear Shocks--they are old, I'd replace them. Underside--passenger side rocker isn't great (see pic), looks fine from the outside but not from the underside. There is some scaling on the underside as to be expected. With this car, you have an excellent platform to finish it up how you want: patina, original style look, whatever. The hard work has been done. This car gets tons of attention and sounds great, I just have too many other projects I'm working on to really get to this one anytime soon.

1949 Chevy 3100 TruckWe have a beautiful 1949 Chevy truck for sale. It has had a lot of work done to it but needs a few things done to finish her off. Equipped with a manual 3 speed transmission and a straight 6 cylinder engine. They are both believed to be out of an 80's model Chevy. The mileage on either is unknown. They could have both been rebuilt as far as I know. They both run fantastic. The engine starts up every time in the first push of the button and the transmission shifts great. With new wheels, tires, shocks and master cylinder, battery, fuel line and more this truck runs and stops very good and comfortable. This truck was being restored in stages. The interior and the bed needs finished off. All the body work was done other than the inside of the bed. The inside of the bed was sprayed just for looks but not clear coated. There is some rust on the front rail of the bed that needs fixed before painting it properly. The rest of the truck was done nice and the owner just want to get it on the road before finishing the wood and paint on the bed of the truck. The cab and fenders look good. The running boards are not perfect but also look very good from five feet. If you are trying to find imperfections in the body work, you can find a few little dings. There is a little bit of rust on the interior when you open the doors. This is not a show truck but a fun driver. There are still some dings and little dents on the bed also. Some of the original wood is still in the bed but it has a sheet of plywood over it. It is not a high end $10,000 paint job but it looks good from 5 feet away. If you look close you can see a little orange peel and there is one little run right under the drivers door handle. The truck does not have the original tail gate either. It truck does come with the white and blue paint to finish the bed or do any touch ups in the future. Gauges work other than the speedo and all the lights work as they should. The wipers are not hooked up and either is the heater. Again, with out the original engine and in this color this truck is not for the purist and this is not being sold as a show truck, but a very good looking and very nice driving 1949 truck. The glass and seals were all replaced when the paint was done a few years back. The passengers side glass is cracked but the truck comes with a brand new piece of glass for it. Also, it comes with an extra corner window in case one ever breaks. Both doors shut nice and solid and the hood is easy to open and shut. The frame and undercarriage are solid. The interior floor is very solid but the seat needs re upholstered and the head liner is missing one piece (probably just replace the hole head liner). It needs carpet as well. I don't think I'm missing anything but please feel free to email any questions and leave your # if you would like a call back. Thank you, Kevin Terms of Sale: Upon completion of Auction, a $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit shall be sent to Seller within 48 hours. ALL ACROSS THE NATION, OLD SCHOOL GASSER, STREET MACHINE, AND STREET ROD TRIBUTE CARS ARE BEING BUILT, USING THE POST WORLD WAR II BODY STYLES. THE 1946-1957 PRODUCTION VEHICLES ARE THE BASIS FOR THESE REPRODUCTIONS, JUST AS IT WAS BACK IN THE 80'S AND 90'S, WHEN THEY WERE ORIGINALLY MODIFIED FOR THE STREETS, DRAG STRIPS, AND SHOW CIRCUIT. A CLONE IS NICE, BUT WHAT IF YOU COULD OWN THE REAL DEAL? PLEASE READ THIS AD CAREFULLY AND VIEW THE TONS OF PHOTOS ON THIS BEAUTY, BECAUSE IT IS THE REAL DEAL! 1952 CHEVROLET STYLELINE DELUXE SEDAN. THIS IS AN EX SHOW CAR, STREET MACHINE THAT WAS BUILT AND WON PLENTY OF AWARDS BACK IN ITS' HEYDAY. FEEL FREE TO SEARCH THE INTERNET FOR COMPARISON VEHICLES. YOU WON'T FIND ANY! THIS RARE AND UNIQUE HOT ROD IS A TRUE, SURVIVING NOSTALGIA STREET MACHINE/SHOW CAR. CURRENTLY RATED AS NICE DRIVER QUALITY. AT THE TIME OF THE BUILD, THE COMPONENTS ON THIS CAR WERE THE BEST AVAILABLE. ALTHOUGH THE SEDAN HAS BEEN TOGETHER FOR A FEW DECADES, IT STILL SHOWS VERY WELL. ACTUAL MILEAGE UNKNOWN. VERY SUBTLE TWO TONE BLUE EXTERIOR FINISH. SO SUBTLE THAT FROM CERTAIN ANGLES YOU HAVE TO LOOK TWICE TO REALIZE IT IS TWO TONES OF BLUE. ALL STEEL TILT FRONT END. THIS FRONT END WAS ENGINEERED SO CAREFULLY THAT WHEN IT IS LOCKED IN PLACE IT APPEARS TO BE FACTORY STOCK BOLTED ON COMPONENTS. SMALL BLOCK CHEVY POWER, TURBO TRANS, AND TEN BOLT REAR WITH A 4.11 GEAR. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE GRAPHIC DESIGN MURAL UNDER THE TILT FRONT END. ORIGINAL OLD SCHOOL PIN STRIPING ON COWL. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS FOR THE BABY BOOMERS, NOSTALGIA ENTHUSIASTS, OR OLD SCHOOL GEAR HEADS. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY, DON'T MISS OUT. From 1939-1945, World War II war production was the primary focus of American manufacturing. The rationing, sacrifice, and hardships of these war years resulted in an explosion of demand for consumer products after the war. One of the first wants of most American families was a new automobile. In 1949, Chevrolet trumped the competition with the first new post war styling. Chevrolet overhauled the entire lineup in 1949, moving from prewar designs to brand new cars with modern full width bodies and pontoon fenders. The division offered Special and Deluxe models in both Fleetline and Styleline series. Buyers could buy a bare bones coupe for as little as $1,300, or could move all the way up to $2,200 for an eight passenger station wagon. Virtually every body type and price level was offered in between. Each year, from 1949 to 1952, Chevrolet improved on their design. The 1952 model was the pinnacle of the first post war generation Chevrolets. Advertising touted the 1952 Chevrolet Styleline and Fleetline models as "More beautiful than ever." Reacting to the Korean conflict, civilian automobile production was cut this year, causing all automakers to post considerably smaller totals. Even with only 818,142 cars built, Chevrolet again scored well ahead of Ford, with Plymouth and Buick trailing far behind. Fast forward to the 80's and 90's. By this time, the first nostalgia craze swept the nation. Car enthusiasts everywhere had a burning desire to modify and upgrade the unique post war automobiles that they remembered riding in when they were children. The 1949-1952 Chevrolet was the model of choice for various reasons. First, because they outsold all other manufacturers, there were more available. Second, the aerodynamic design was perfect for street machines, and especially at the drag strip. Most importantly, most gear heads were familiar with the venerable small block Chevy engine. They were easy to maintain, parts were readily available, and when modified they went fast! Please read the entire ad. In addition to the 24 photos in the main ad body, there is a file of nearly 100 additional photos below. This is a chance to own a real nostalgia hot rod for a fraction of the price of a new built reproduction. Although this car was painted at least 20 years ago, the finish still shows well. There are driving chips and some minor age imperfections, but the paint still maintains a glossy shine. Nice, driver quality paint. All steel tilt front end. As with the rest of the car, the front end was professionally fabricated using original factory components. When the front end is closed, there is a complete factory stock appearance. This is not a cheap fiberglass flip front with ill fitting gaps all around. Check the fitment and gapping in the photos. Very subtle two tone blue paint. In certain lighting and at certain angles, it is almost appears as one color. All glass is in very good condition. Factory split windshield. Factory saw tooth grille in very good condition. Front and rear bumpers are also in very good condition, with bumper guards. Stainless and emblems are in very good shape. All factory original emblems are in place, with the addition of the Hot Rod emblems. Vintage custom whiskey runner headlamp covers. Deep dish chrome wheels with baby moon hubcaps. Speedometer mounted in custom dash insert. Sun water temperature, oil pressure, volts, and fuel gauges also mounted in dash. You can be the only person at your car cruise with a real vintage hot rod. I appeared on the TV show "Final Offer" on June 7, 2012 on Discovery Channel with Elvis's hair. The episode is called "Heavy Metal" and re-runs air periodically. http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/final-offer/videos/final-offer-launch.htm If you have any questions about this item, please ask.
