To start with, let me first say that I am listing this modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. If you want an honest and complete description via telephone, please feel free to call Roland at 603-361-3693. As an FYI, the modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird is located in Manchester, New Hampshire, just 15 miles from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am not a dealer, just a (66) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% with (1,139) transactions. Many of those have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Who was Bill Frick? Bill Frick was a gifted early model mechanic and fabricator many years before the term "Hot Rodders" was used. Well known in the late 40s by his custom engine conversion packages out of a little shop in Long Island NY. In 1950, when the new 331 V8 OHV overhead valve Cadillac engine was introduced, he offered a conversion package to swap with the 1950 Ford flat head engine which would increase the horsepower tremendously. It earned the name Fordillac, which became famous among the early gear head "hot rodders". In 1953, the same 331-V8 Cadillac engine was offered for the engine consumption in the Studebaker for $1,500, also known as the Studellac. The Studellac was capable of speeds of 125mph and accelerated form 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. Bill Frick Motors Inc. was an exclusive distributor of Kieft Sport Cars, exclusive Long Island dealer for Allard Motor cars, an MG and Morris Minor dealer. He was involved in building race cars and partnered with Ted Tappett, who then became a well-known racer in the Lemans 24 hour race circuit. Also, Bill Frick Motors was heavily involved in Nascar. The Frick-Tappett conversion Cadillac engine in a Ford made them famous among the performance gear heads, claiming up to 25mpg at cruising speed and 0-80mph in 15 seconds. Very sophisticated for their time, Bill Frick built a tubular air craft design chassis in the 1949 using a Cadillac 331-V8 which they called the "Le Monstre". It ran in Lemans and was driven by Phil Walters, known as Ted Tappett and placed in 7th, according to our research. Well known Briggs Cunningham was involved on the financial side of Bill Frick Motors Inc. and also drove the "Le Monstre". Interestingly enough, the car is still shown today. A private collector owns the car and shows it at car shows such as Lime Rock CT. Here is the information on this wicked, super rare modified Bill Frick 1957 Ford Thunderbird: This unique single family owned thunderbird is straight from an estate, stored since 1999 in dry storage. According to our research, this is a very unique and rare example of one of Bill Frick's conversions. There were only three (3) Thunderbirds built by Bill Frick Motors, however, only one which had the Pontiac 389ci engine. When the car was purchased new in Lowell MA, the owner of the car was a big time drag racer. He wanted to build a car that would blow the doors off anyone who would come against him. He sent the car to Bill Frick, in Rockville Centre NY, for a performance upgrade and engine swap. Originally, a special dual McCulloch blower set up was installed with a special panel for the blower solenoids. However, the Paxton McCulloch system was aborted and sent back to Paxton and the car ended up with an Offenhauser aluminum dual quad intake topped off with two Carter 4-barrel carburetors. Bill Frick Motors gave a $500 credit to the 312 V8. Also, some modifications had to be done to the hood of the car to make provisions for the dual supercharger system. Three bulge style tear drops were dollied by hand and refinished in black lacquer. In the final version, Bill Frick Motors used a modified 1959 Pontiac engine. When owned by Al Ornella of Jack and Al’s Esso in Lowell Massachusetts, Al would gladly race any takers but not before the challenger put down $500. This was Al’s minimum bet before he would even start up his T-Bird. For the record, it was said that Al was never beaten in any of these races. It is our understanding that only three of these conversions were completed by Bill Frick and this particular 1957 T-Bird is the only one left of the original three. We clay barred the exterior and it came back beautifully but we think it's best to preserve the originality of this car as a true time capsule without changing too much. Super clean exterior body and paint. Looking over this rare example, the car has a solid original body with no signs of any rust or repair what so ever. The exterior body of this car is perfectly straight with no ripples, dings or dents. There is a light patina in the lacquer in some areas of the car. In the front header area, near the driver's side light, you will notice the paint has flaked off in that area. Also, some lacquer cracking appears around that area as well. Other exterior notes of interest are: · The chrome bumpers are original and are considered excellent condition; · The glass is also original to the car and is excellent throughout; · Bright work, emblems, front grille, headlamps, tail light bezels are all excellent; · The original paint in areas of the trunk, hood and door jambs have a nice clean appearance; · The weather strip is original with no signs of being dried, cracked or weathered; · The doors, hood and rear deck lid open and close perfectly with proper alignment to all of those areas as well; · The windows roll up and down effortlessly; · The factory continental kit and trunk area is solid and original with the spare tire, jack assembly and trunk mat considered to be in fair condition; · White Side Wall tires with factory hub caps; · Hard top with port-hole windows that has excellent glass and a nice original white headliner. Interior: The interior of the car is all original including the carpet. Note the black with white insert bench seat that does have some dried cracks on the driver’s side. The door panels and instrument cluster are in great shape. The dash board is original with no cracks. There is a custom Hurst shifter mated to the fine working Borg Warner 3-speed gear box with Over Drive. Other interior notes of interest are: · Vintage Stewart Warner gauges; · McCulloch vacuum gauges and switches; · Town & Country am radio; · Power brakes; · Crank windows; · Telescopic original steering wheel with no cracks noticed; · No power steering. Engine: They used a modified 1959 Pontiac 389ci engine, completely balanced. The Paxton McCulloch system was aborted and sent back to Paxton and the car ended up with a dual 4BBL Offenhauser aluminum intake and two Carter 4-barrel carburetors. Other engine notes of interest are: · Completely balanced; · Forged true pistons; · PC rings; · Clevite bearings; · Full floating wrist pins; · High pressure oil pump; · Relieve combustion chamber; · Ground out ports: · Adjustable rocker arm studs; · Howard cam and lifters; · Special log-type intake manifold; · 6 Rochester carburetors; · Lightened and polished valves; · Spaulding special flywheel and clutch; · Fuel pump and over drive was installed under the dash inside the car; · Stewart Warner tachometer installed; · Manual spark control installed; · Special clutch linkage; · Special throttle linkage; · Custom engine to transmission adapter plate; · Fabrication of special headers with Lake pipes and plugs installed; · Non-slip differential gears; · Removed and replaced gas tank modified for special fuel system; · Special under ride dual traction bars; · Lowered the back end to raise the front end. Mechanical: The car is in running condition, however it hasn't been driven for the past 15 years. Mechanically though, very sound. Undercarriage: · Very clean and solid frame; · ID Photos: The T-Bird comes with documentation, thousands of dollars in receipts, Owner History and many great stories. Surely, a one of a kind car that was modified by a famous legend (Bill Frick) who was well ahead of his time. This particular Thunderbird is the only one known to exist with a Pontiac engine. I am very excited to offer to the international eBay community a very, very rare opportunity to acquire an iconic, big bodied pre war 1927 Buick Racer/Speedster that has been part of a reclusive millionaire's car collection for many decades and was sold by executors of his estate within the last two years and is fresh to the market. The fine American Buick Racer is NOT a clone or "tribute" car having undergone some recent conversion from a big body sedan to Racer/Speedster. Early American Race Cars have become so rare, desirable and valuable that even recent sedan to speedster conversions commonly bring upwards $35,000 in today's hot pre war collector car market. The steel speedster panels on this Racer are original and at least 80 years old and the paint looks to be original to the build, which in high probability suggests that this vehicle may have at least some regional racing history, and quite possibly some national racing events under its belt. The Buick Racer that I am offering is aesthetically in very presentably preserved condition for an original unrestored 88 year old competition Racer/Speedster with 55,500 ORIGINAL MILES and to find one that is still sporting its original paint and panels is uncannily rare for an early American Racer that has not had the benefit of pampered institutional curating or warehousing. It is quite obvious that the Speedster has been stored in a temperature controlled garage for much of its life, but confirmed was also used as a recreational driver until very recently. The New England gentleman that owned the vehicle for many years obviously experienced some difficulty with the original motor and whimsically had the engine and transmission replaced with a modern six cylinder motor and automatic transmission as he was rumored to enjoy rides in the speedster up until the time of his death. The interim motor and transmission is reliable enough that the car has very recently successfully finished a New England Antique Car Rally and is still driven quite regularly by the last owner to buy ice cream with his very young grand daughters as they very much enjoy motoring in the hulking Buick Racer that she has affectionately named "Betsy". Luckily, the original owner had the foresight to retain the original numbers matching six cylinder inline Buick engine and four speed transmission (original to this car as all serial numbers match the chassis) and are currently secured to a pallet and will be included in the sale, but the motor is in unknown condition and most or all of the original parts and components look to be present facilitating a fairly straight forward restoration if and when one is undertaken. The previous longtime eccentric wealthy owner also had a late model car seat secured in a makeshift fashion to the frame with a modern (1970's) fully functioning safety belt so that the Racer could be driven safely on occasion. The wood spokes retain the cocoa colored patina that confirms the Racer has been stored out of the elements and in a temperature controlled environment and the chassis is remarkably solid and no damaging rust or rot is present in the steel frame or members. The dash looks to be all original with no aesthetic upgrades ever with all instruments still present and some functioning in the original blue racing paint. This iconic and rare Buick Racer/Speedster is wonderfully naked (simple) and unmolested retaining much of her nearly 90 year old original patina, and cars such as this one bring upwards $45,000 in this condition in the PRE WAR CARS publication, and of course if any significant/interesting race history can be uncovered/discovered, the value of this early Buick could easily reach six figures. I am moderately invested in this automotive jewel and if I receive an intelligent offer, I certainly am willing to prematurely end the listing and pass this magnificent automotive investment to its next custodian with only a nominal profit for myself. This is probably one of the most significant collector car finds in my life and one need not be an expert to assess the incredible rarity and value of this pre war iconic American Racer/Speedster. When was the last time you have seen an unmolested 1927 big bodied (non conversion) Buick Racer/Speedster for sale for under $50,000. (American buyers) do not wait or hesitate on this rarity as the European collector car purveyors are astute and aggressively scouring our country for the finest, unrestored early American Racers and Speedsters and shipping them abroad where they are meticulously restored and repurposed in the vintage car rally's and races, then traded at top dollar on the global market. This fabulously rare car will set the eBay collector car community abuzz and this listing will not last for its duration! Don't miss this acquisition opportunity of a lifetime because if and when this car resurfaces in a few years fully restored, she will be commanding a six figure price tag. This vehicle was long, long ago constructed for racing and competition and is an authentic early American 1927 Buick Racer/Speedster. This is not a clone or recent reconfiguration!!! This car is located in Rochester, New Hampshire zip code 03867 and I can fully arrange expeditious and fully insured shipping to any destination in the world. Do not hesitate to email with trade inquiries or reasonable offers. Thank you for reading.

WILL SELL WORLDWIDE ART DECO ROCKET AGE INSPIRED ! 10 DAYOPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE ONE OF THE MOSTDYNAMIC & MAGNETIC PRE-WAR & ALL STEEL BODY ART DECO FORD SPEEDSTERSEVER BUILT THE 1929 "SKIPIT III" This hottie is no trailer queen, she'll let you hop right in and is always ready to get "down and dirty". Drive 'er hard!! My car is presently, and has been stored indoors in Rochester, New Hampshire where she has spent the winter in storage. I will hesitantly offer my 1929 Ford Model A "Skipit III" Speedster for sale on eBay for a one time 10 day auction, and if it doesn't sell the first time around, I will ship her home to Key West, Florida that I may enjoy her throaty idle and wonderful curves in the balmy, sticky Key West sun this summer and try to fight off the shutter bugs from pilfering pictures and selfies of my sexy iron maiden!! And after a sweaty, delightful afternoon of manhandling her, she'll never complain when you just leave her somewhere, anywhere, and like every "dream girl" she's never hard to find, right there waiting where you left her being admired by a small crowd of about 10-15 people posing excitedly and snapping "selfies" with phone cameras, 'cause she's the center of attention wherever she goes and no ego too. Almost as good as a lobotomized and passive Kim Kardasian (who wouldn't be titillated by the potential excitement of that kind of uncontentious companionship?) I am admittedly indecisive about separating from her so you eBayers out there probably won't have another opportunity to "court" this salacious, sexy crowd pleaser in the fall because south Florida is home to some of the finest car collections/collectors in the world and it's here she'll remain once she's shipped home. ALL STEEL BODY (EVEN THE TAIL FIN) This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very, VERY unusual and beautiful Art Deco inspired and rendered, all-steel body 1929 Model A Ford Speedster that will steal the attention and crowds away from half million dollar Ferarri's and Lamborghini's at ANY car show. Nothing at a car show pisses off a high-end exotic car owner more than to be slotted next to a uniquely designed and economically priced Speedster that costs about as much as a Ferrari tool kit (yes, some vintage Ferrari tool kits costs over $25,000) steal throngs of gawkers away from the half million dollar exotic cars! I know because I see it happen ALL THE TIME! This truly amazing speedster body was designed and built by the inimitable Paul Normand, a world renowned Speedster stylist and veteran master automobile fabricator from New England who has built more than 40 museum quality automotive masterpieces in his nearly 40 year career of building imaginative vintage collector automobiles. Mr. Normand is well known in the hand-fabricating world of custom Speedster/Roadster coachwork and he builds only ONE car in the winter of each year. I have offered him a very lucrative commission to construct a massive speedster body on my hulkish 1921 La France chain driven fire truck chassis and he kindly responded "I don't take commissions". Mr. Normand embodies the creative spirit and commitment of every great artist and is not motivated by money to envision, design and create cars, he only builds cars that he wants to see created. Trust me, books will be written about this legendary custom Roadster/Speedster builder one day!! His cars are voraciously gobbled up by deep pocketed collectors worldwide and world class auction venues like Mecum and Barrett Jackson has sold his cars in the past with astonishing results. Opportunities to acquire Mr. Normand's automotive artwork are dwindling as it is my understanding that Mr Normand is over 70 years of age. In the very strange consumer age where mundane, mass produced kit cars can now cost upwards $100,000, (AC Cobra Replicas) it is becoming increasingly difficult to find old world artisans who can manually hammer; bend; manipulate and weld steel skin over buck molds to create unique and beautiful car bodies as was executed in the golden age of the custom automobile of the Streamlined Art Deco period of the 1920's and 30's. This has been professionally accomplished here with the wonderful and whimsical "SKIPIT III". The drive train is an all original 1929 Ford Model A (which it is titled) and powered by an inline smooth running 4 cylinder Ford engine. The "SKIPIT III" is outfitted with 16" super rare 1950's Cragar spinner Hubcaps and chrome beauty rings and has been outfitted just this winter with a brand new custom interior that will last for decades. It is a relatively simple car to own, enjoy and maintain as there are many early Ford Speedster collector car forums and clubs. Friendly professional advice is just a few clicks away with your computer mouse. As far as investment potential, Speedsters as beautiful and unique as the "SKIP IT III" will always find impassioned and aggressive buyers as unique cars are really just an extension of a well expressed personality and fabulous collector automobiles such as the "SKIP IT III" accomplish that goal quite effortlessly and have no price comparisons and this car BELIEVE ME, will delight and excite certain personalities. This year the SKIPIT III may sell for around $24,000 and in the next 3 years it could easily bring $35,000. There is no depreciation for this Art Deco Speedster automotive masterpiece (or any unique automotive masterpiece). And when is the last time you have seen an Art Deco inspired Ford Speedster?? Perhaps you can find a dozen fabulous examples in the membership cars of the Northwest Vintage Speedsters in Portland, Oregon but these cars are almost NEVER offered for sale outside of the membership base and if one were to be offered, plan to spend upwards $45-50K for such an example. My car perfectly embodies the Art Deco "Rocket Age" of Speedsters and will make an interesting extension to an extra ordinary personality. If she tickles your fancy don't hesitate, because you WON'T be finding another Ford Speedster with this much distinction and value at this price!!! I am currently listing two very desirable and unusual pre war Speedsters on eBay, and depending on which one sells first, I may end up keeping the other. Please take a look at all of the pictures and email if you have any questions or trade propositions. This car has a clear New Hampshire title. Thank you for your interest and thanks for reading. Please check out my other Speedster that I am listing on eBay Just click on seller's other items to view my cars

During the disarray of the 80s malaise scene, there was hardcore gearheads. And even now, with increasing cost of ownership becoming the norm, there are still diehard gearheads. No matter where the future leads, there will ALWAYS be lifestyle enthusiasts who build a culture around the rush of turning transportation into art; and unless you're one of us, it's something you'll never understand. So, what happens when a bona fide automotive power couple executes a 45 week build with virtually no limits? You get a mind numbing head turner like this 1955 Chevrolet 3100! The product of an uncompromising vision and many talented builders, this stunning Chevy wraps a 375 horsepower small block and 5-speed Tremec transmission in a custom suspension and one-of-a-kind appearance. And, if you're a fellow enthusiast who's looking to satisfy an unrelenting need to win trophies and make a big statement, it's the magazine featured pickup of your dreams! Flo and Gary Garman had built cars before. Their first project, a '55 Chevy sedan entitled 'Fun', took 35 weeks from start to finish. Then, as if that wasn't impressive enough, 'Juicy', a second '55 Chevy sedan went from concept to show queen in a mere 25 weeks. Now, when I say "built", I don't mean called shops and scheduled work. This dynamic duo hauled the cars to their 2.5-bay garage, rolled up their sleeves and made the magic happen. The third time around, Gary wanted to build a '55 Chevy truck. With an easy approval from Flo, he hit Craigslist and promptly found a 10 year long project that had stalled with a disinterested owner and boxes of parts. The only stipulations on this newfound cruiser were: 1) Gary wanted a red interior and 2) Flo wanted a green exterior. Adopting a color combo that was obviously ripe for a theme, the couple ruled out Christmas, nixed stoplights and settled on what seemed like the next logical choice: watermelons. And, with the stage set, they shopped salvage yards, perused the Carlisle flea market and started the stopwatch on their latest "Home Grown" creation. Work began with Flo part-sourcing while Gary, with the help of expert body technician Butch Grossman, patched and welded the truck's exterior panels. The cab was shipped to family friend Chess Sprenkle of Chess Sprenkle Body & Paint in York Haven, Pennsylvania. And, upon its return, carefully ground welds were sealed in custom PPG green that's based on a cool combination of Home Depot and Martha Stewart paint swatches. Remarkably smooth and ready for assembly, random parts migrated out of Gary's homemade paint booth after Flo's usual ritual of wet-sanding. 'Ripe watermelon wear marks' and custom door logos came courtesy of family friend Dane Geesey of DGeez Signs & Graphics in Yoe, Pennsylvania. And, in late 2011, the truck rolled into the Maryland East Coast Indoor Nationals to claim the first of its many awards. Today, this stunning Half Ton is a unique combination of time, talent and exceptional attention to detail. And with its killer paint, stalwart small block and stylish leather interior, it's the kind of top notch custom that's guaranteed to make you weak in the knees! As expected, this awesome Chevy's first rate detailing highlights both its solid form and stunning paint. At the front of the truck, a polished egg crate grille rides between chrome-trimmed headlights, bullet-style parking lamps and a bright chrome bumper. Above that grille, a Bel Air-inspired hood hangs a prominent Chevrolet crest in front of stainless-trimmed glass, appearance-specific wipers and a modified Truck Shop visor. At the sides of that hood, body-matched emblems and a short antenna combine with aftermarket mirrors, chrome door handles and a locking, bowtie-branded gas cap to detail a clean 'flow though' profile. Opposite those emblems, a spectacular Oak bed is held down by spotless stainless skid strips. And at the back of that bed, an embossed tailgate loops sleeved chains over a polished tag bracket, LED tail lights and a second chrome bumper. Hoist this custom's rolled hood and you'll find a 355 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 that, thanks to the pros at American Speed, creates a stout 375 horsepower. At the top of the blueprinted mill, a watermelon themed air cleaner, custom-fabricated from two Freon bottles, forces wind into a coated Street Avenger carburetor that's juiced by a coated Edelbrock fuel pump and polished stainless fluid lines. At the base of that Holley, a green Edelbrock intake hangs a green distributor between Chevrolet-branded valve covers and polished wire looms. Below those looms, green plug wires snake around coated Doug's headers. And in front of those headers, attractive Tru Trac pulleys spin a modern power steering pump between a polished alternator, a polished AC compressor, a Cooling Components puller fan and a watermelon-detailed Griffin radiator. Aesthetically, both the bright green small block and its assortment of hand-picked accessories look right at home seated low in their smoothed and body-matched frame. And details like bowtie-branded caps, a high-torque mini starter and Goodyear Gatorback belts ensure this truck runs every bit as good as it looks. Shimmy under this Chevy and you'll find a super clean undercarriage that's been prepped, primped and polished to match the truck's slick engine bay and stunning exterior. The dressed 355's power flows from a familiar Tremec TKO600 5-speed to a narrowed Bronco rear end that's fitted with 3.50 gears and a posi-traction differential. That proven axle pushes the truck on green Chassis Engineering leafs, which are attached to equally green shocks. Tracking is provided by a Fatman independent front suspension, which is complete with polished control arms, 2-inch drop spindles and Fatman power rack and pinion steering. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to power 4-wheel disc brakes. And that chassis hangs from a body-matched frame that's been sandblasted, boxed and filled. At the center of that frame, large-diameter, true-dual exhaust routes ceramic coated pipes through an X-shaped crossover, throaty Flowmaster mufflers and polished stainless tips. At the corners of the floor, 15-inch Wheel Smith Smoothies throw torque through 205/70 front and 255/60 rear Diamond Back Classic whitewalls. And everything, from the truck's modern brake booster to its braided brake lines, is well-planned, exceptionally executed and ready to roll! But the show doesn't stop there. Not by a long shot! When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a fully insulated cockpit that features glowing leather surfaces. Top dead center, a chrome-detailed dash hangs Classic Instruments gauges between a Custom Autosound head unit, Vintage Air climate control and a small Guide traffic light viewer. In front of that dash, a sculpted seat, which was cribbed from a 1995 GMC Safari, centers chrome crests between small panels, stainless handles and textured, Chevrolet-branded steps. Below that seat, fresh California Carpet balances color-keyed and chrome detailed floor mats between custom kick panels, big Pioneer speakers and a watermelon-topped shifter. Opposite that carpet, a basket weave headliner perfectly complements modern shoulder belts and cool, basket weave sun visors. And in front of the driver, a painted Ididit steering column spins a small-diameter wheel around an airbrushed center piece and high quality Haywire wiring.
