The huge inline 8 cylinder engine under the hood runs very smooth and goes down the road with no problems that we have found. This car comes from the dry state of New Mexico where the previous owner had the car since 2007. The paint is in good condition and the car shows nicely. There are some scratches and chips but none are major. The chrome on the car shows well but does show some scratching while appearing to be original to the car but still presents itself well. The two tone red vinyl and taupe cloth interior is in great condition. The front and rear bench seats look great with no rips, wear or stains showing. The carpet and door panels also look great with only minor imperfections. The headliner looks very good with no major wear or sagging to be found. Recently Used in the Hollywood Picture"Gangster Squad" This is a beautiful, 1949 Packard Deluxe 8 Club Sedan in excellent condition inside and out. It has lovely fastback styling. This car was recently used in the 2013 Hollywood picture "Gangster Squad" starring Sean Penn and Nick Nolte. The car was recently acquired from the movie studio after they were done shooting the movie. This is an original black plate California car that is totally rust free and solid as a rock. This beauty was past owned by a shop teacher specializing in auto restoration and maintenance. It was very nicely restored a few years ago and looks great. These 40's Packard's are very desirable and very rare to find in this type of condition. It is very nicely presented and a piece of Hollywood history! The car is completely rust free and solid as a rock. It is very straight down the sides. It is sitting on its original wheels and caps with white wall tires. It has a nice original style interior that was all redone and looks very nice. All the original wood-grain is in great condition. Everything works in the car except the horn and radio. All the chrome and trim on the dash is very clean. Inside the trunk is very clean. Mechanically, the engine and transmission run great! This Packard drives with no issues at all! The original 288ci straight eight engine provides great power to move this little diamond around. The engine compartment is all stock and clean. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive. Fire her up and she's ready to cruise. All and all, this is a great 40's classic in excellent condition and a joy to own and drive. To add it has great Hollywood ties and is a true movie star. Normal 0 You are bidding on a very solid, mostly original, Oklahoma 1956 Ford Club Post Sedan. It’s in mostly original condition and is a nice summer time cruiser! She runs like a top and most things work! She is pretty straight and has a great curb presence with a tasteful two-tone paint scheme and dual spotlights. This corn-belt car is very solid and clean and still has all the FACTORY driveline along with all the FACTORY body panels it was born with! Only a few pieces of interior and exterior items have been changed. The original 312ci motor purrs and the automatic transmission doesn’t wait to move you along. This is a rare classic car with a low reserve to protect some of its value. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale. The Body This Club Sedan has been driven and has 91,000 miles and some of the age is showing. The body is very solid but the lower front fenders have had some minor body work done decades ago and it is starting to show. Doors and quarters look great as do the trunk drop-offs, trunk floor, trunk filler panel, and spare tire well. Body is nice and shiny in its present state, no major dents but the paint is decades old and it does have several areas where the paint is peeling and flaking. A bit of pinstriping was added recently to give it more of a fifties vibe. It’s basically a stored survivor and could be used as a cruiser or restored to original factory condition without the major expenses of rust repair. The chrome, stainless and brite work on the car is in good-to-excellent condition. Just the bumpers, mirrors and door handles need to be rechromed. The bumpers could be polished to make them more presentable. The bumpers are very straight and have the factory bumper guards, front and rear. Window channels look good and so does the glass (no cracks or sanding marks). All the exterior trim is there with minimal pitting. Doors, trunk and hood operate as they should with matching keys. Weatherstripping and rubber are good for their age but are original pieces. Factory fender skirts have all their mounting hardware Interior The interior is good-to-fair condition. The dark green loop carpeting is in good condition. Seats and door panels are nice but will need a cleaning. Although most of the interior is nice, there may be evidence of wear due to the age of the car. Headliner for example is starting to fray at the rear corners as is the package tray. Most everything works on the dash and the original radio is in the trunk and does not work. The steering wheel is in good condition with minor aging but does have a leather steering wheel wrap on it. The Drivetrain is a 312ci with 2-barrel carb which runs great, idles and drives, doesn’t overheat, or really leak but has not had a tune up in a few years. The transmission operates and shifts as it should. No problems in the rearend. Steering is a bit loose and brakes, I was told by the owner, will need replaced soon but it does stop fine. The Undercarriage is in nice condition too. Floor pans and frame are original and in good condition. Trunk drop-offs and trunk floor are nice as listed above. Spare tire along with the jack are in the trunk. Interior of the trunk has a trunk mat and the floor under it looks great. The dual exhaust system looks very good and has “FORD” accessory tips installed. The white wall tires are nice and come with factory hubcaps. Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition with the following items replaced… battery, tires and radio. Temperature gauge need is stuck all of the way to the right. The car only starts in neutral. Please review the pictures regarding paint and body issues. I’m listing some of the more obvious issues but the pictures display additional flaws. Front passenger headlight bucket has major paint peeling. Hood lip has some minor rust bubbles as you can see from the pictures. Back deck in a few places on the top of the quarter panels have some paint peeling issues. Again, this is a 55-year old car that is basically original. It really has never been restored so we have tried to list everything we could but it does have a few little bumps and bruises that happen with normal driving. Pleasanton, CA 925-846-1451 DETAILS-THIS PARTICULAR 1997 DODGE VIPER GTS RACE CAR CAR HISTORY This Viper is virtually the last remaining car in the collection of the late Dick Carter, a renowned race driver. Mr. Carter drove in NASCAR races for 66 years, even racing at age 81. He was the first promoter of Altamont Raceway in Tracy, California. Mr. Carter bought the Viper late in his career and improved it but most likely never raced it. This is supported by a clean CARFAX record on the car showing only about 300 miles of use since 2002. Further, the CARFAX shows no record of any accidents, although there may have been track incidents. The car is currently titled in California to a Carter family and was part of the estate. The car was converted to race use in the late 1990's and had remarkable success, running vs. Venom Vipers and winning 14 National SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) events from 1998-2001. A photo of the winning dash plaques from 13 of these events is available. As currently professionally set up for racing, the car is not street legal. The car is very light and reportedly extremely fast exhibiting staggering performance. It is an excellent candidate for the appropriate road racing venue (National Auto Sport Association / "NASA", Solo / Autocross or other suitable groups racing). The car starts even after sitting for prolonged periods of time and runs and drives very strong with no apparent issues. Outside of updating safety equipment and tires the car appears to be in race ready condition. One thing is clear; the car is an absolute blast to drive and is very fast! We were told that the professional modifications to make this Viper race ready total about $300,000 and included hundreds of hours of labor. The V10 motor is balanced and blueprinted, the six speed manual transmission is upgraded and the rear end is beefed up to withstand the tremendous horsepower the car develops. Hoosier racing slicks are mounted on new 18" Forgeline wheels ($5000). The car has new fully adjustable Moton shocks ($4500), a lift-off fiberglass hood/front ($2700), new Stoptech 14" brakes and pads ($6000), new custom-made Belanger headers and custom-made side exit mufflers ($4000), and light weight Autoform doors (no inside panels). The list of modifications including significant chassis strengthening and other improvements is too lengthy too list. Qualified buyers are encouraged to inspect the Viper. Both seats are Sparko EVO racing seats. The driver's seat is equipped with a 5-point Teamtech belt dated June 2002. The passenger seat has a lap belt only. The belts look like they have never been used supporting the information that we received that the car has only a few hundred race / track miles since being constructed. The car is equipped with a full race cage including a driver's side bar. Side windows have catch nets installed. The steering wheel is a Momo brand. The exterior is bright painted red with a double white stripe down the center. All body panels and the paint are in good, very presentable condition. There are no signs of significant body damage and only minimal minor imperfections. It seems apparent that the car had very minimal track time as there is almost no "road" (or race rash or patina. In addition to the stock tachometer, speedometer, water temp, oil pressure, fuel and ammeter gauges, both oil temp and trans temp gauges have been added to the right side of the dash (in the former glove box lid). OTHER The current odometer reading is 8,030 miles and, based upon the Carfax report, is believed to be accurate (7,751 miles in 2002). Note that since 2002 the car has accumulated fewer than 300 miles. An indoor car cover is included. IMPORTANT NOTE: The speedometer/odometer and all of the gauges are fully functional. Based on the chronological documentation of the car (Carfax) it appears as if it saw very few actual race miles. We also have information indicating that the car received a mechanical and cosmetic freshening by one of the premier Viper builder in the country several years ago for "freshening". The vehicle has a clear California title and is currently registered as non-operational based on its race car status. Should a future owner choose to convert the Viper to a street car, the title is clear and carries no liens. HISTORY OF THE SECOND GENERATION VIPER (1996-2002) A coupe model called the GTS was introduced in 1996. Dubbed "double bubble", the roof featured slightly raised sections above each seat to accommodate usage of helmets, a throwback to its intended purpose. Vipers can be seen participating often in drag racing and road racing. The GTS, like its predecessor, was chosen as the pace car for the 1996 Indianapolis 500. Despite its similar outward appearance, the car was distinct enough to be considered a new generation model. Extensive modifications included a reworked V10 engine with higher power and less weight, an almost completely redesigned chassis that was made 60 lb lighter and 25% stiffer in torsional rigidity through meticulous computer analysis, a thoroughly redesigned suspension, and reduced braking distances. The 1996 to 2002 Viper GTS had a lighter (approximately 650 lb.) 450 bhp engine, which could complete the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds, 0.3 seconds and 6 mph faster than its predecessor, and increased top speed by 11 mph. The revised suspension, stiffer chassis, and aerodynamic body raised lateral grip to 0.98 g. Slalom runs could often reach or exceed 70 mph. The body is very solid but the lower front fenders have had some minor body work done decades ago and it is starting to show. Doors and quarters look great as do the trunk drop-offs, trunk floor, trunk filler panel, and spare tire well. Body is nice and shiny in its present state, no major dents but the paint is decades old and it does have several areas where the paint is peeling and flaking. A bit of pinstriping was added recently to give it more of a fifties vibe. It’s basically a stored survivor and could be used as a cruiser or restored to original factory condition without the major expenses of rust repair. The chrome, stainless and brite work on the car is in good-to-excellent condition. Just the bumpers, mirrors and door handles need to be rechromed. The bumpers could be polished to make them more presentable. The bumpers are very straight and have the factory bumper guards, front and rear. Window channels look good and so does the glass (no cracks or sanding marks). All the exterior trim is there with minimal pitting. Doors, trunk and hood operate as they should with matching keys. Weatherstripping and rubber are good for their age but are original pieces. Factory fender skirts have all their mounting hardware Interior The interior is good condition for being an older restoration - probably in the '80s. Seats are in very nice condition. No rips or tears. But being an older restoration there is some minor wear. The dark green loop carpeting is in good condition. Seats and door panels are nice but will need a cleaning. Although most of the interior is nice, there may be evidence of wear due to the age of the car. Headliner for example is starting to fray at the rear corners as is the package tray. Most everything works on the dash and the original radio is in the trunk and does not work. The steering wheel is in good condition with minor aging but does have a leather steering wheel wrap on it. The Drivetrain is a 312ci with 4-barrel carb which runs great, idles and drives, doesn’t overheat, or really leak but has not had a tune up in a few years. The transmission operates and shifts as it should. No problems in the rearend. Steering is a bit loose and brakes, I was told by the owner, will need replaced soon but it does stop fine. The Undercarriage is in nice condition too. Floor pans, rockers and frame are original and in good condition. Trunk drop-offs and trunk floor are nice as listed above. Spare tire, along with the jack, are in the trunk. Interior of the trunk has a trunk mat and the floor under it looks great. The dual exhaust system looks very good and has “FORD” accessory tips installed. The white wall tires are nice and come with factory hubcaps. Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition with the following items replaced… battery, tires and radio. Temperature gauge need is stuck all of the way to the right. The car only starts in neutral. Please review the pictures regarding paint and body issues. I’m listing some of the more obvious issues but the pictures display additional flaws. Front passenger headlight bucket has major paint peeling. Hood lip has some minor rust bubbles as you can see from the pictures. Back deck in a few places on the top of the quarter panels have some paint peeling issues. Again, this is a 55-year old car that is basically original. It really has never been restored so we have tried to list everything we could but it does have a few little bumps and bruises that happen with normal driving. SFM6S588 was delivered to a Hertz rental agency in Phoenix, AZ in December of 1966.  A full Concours restoration was completed in Fall of 2015, bringing the car back to its “as factory delivered” form.? The car still retains the original T-10 4-speed it was born with along with a date code correct service replacement HiPo 289 installed by its first owner.  After its "Rent-A-Racer" duties were complete, it was sold in May of 1967 to Gary Ray, who fitted it with a Shelby/Paxton Supercharger and Detroit Locker rear-end and then went racing!   Personalization of these cars was the order of the day, as commanded by Carroll Shelby himself “We built these cars to drive the "HELL" out of them, not to be museum pieces!"In April of 1974 Mr. Ray put the car up for sale in AutoWeek advertising that the car featured a new, date-code correct K Code HiPo 289 installed and 47,000 miles on the odometer.  The reason?  He bought himself a ’66 289 Cobra!  The Hertz car passed through the hands of Dean Watts of Pleasanton, CA.  From there, it traveled to the Pacific Northwest to Roger Winslow of Tacoma, WA and out of the public consciousness.  It was discovered “barn fresh” around 2012 in Yakima, Washington hibernating under a tarp with just under 47,800 miles on the odometer, not registered since 1983.  So, since 1974 it has been sitting with a mere 800 miles traveled from the time Mr. Ray sold it. Of the 1,001 Hertz cars produced in 1966, only 85 were fitted with a manual transmission.  It is rare to find a GT350H factory equipped a 4 speed, let alone the original aluminum case T-10.  In addition to Shelby American Automobile Club documentation and registry history, we also have titles dating back to 1978.Offered at $211,613. Nothing gets hot. Coolant hoses all new. Original 1930s glass oil can for a coolant overflow tank. Coolant temp gauge is always 175*. Vega steering box with custom built 3/4 twisted metal steering rods. Chrome SoCal steering dampner, headlights, taillights and brake lights work. Custom built boxed in heavy duty frame. The front and rear has a custom Cantilever airbag set up that raises the car 5" off the ground for plenty of clearance and it lays the entire frame on the ground. The rear is 4 linked. This is currently the lowest Rat Rod in Las Vegas! You can raise the front and rear of the car separate so there are two switches, it has the ability to go front, back side to side but I never hooked up the side to side solenoids. The air tank is built into the frame and the air lines run through the frame too. Lots of original wood still in the interior and the side windows still work after 80 years. New diamond stitched leather seat cushions and seat backings. Brand new white wall Bridgestone tires with new tubes. The fuel tank is a old original WWII bomb that we made into a fuel tank, its pretty trick. The body has been chopped, channeled and sectioned. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options Although officially noted as being available in two body styles, a coupe and a convertible, the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette in essence offers three: targa-roof coupe, fixed-roof coupe and convertible. The standard Corvette coupe has a removable roof panel (a.k.a. "targa") that allows nearly the same open-air experience as a true convertible, whereas the Corvette Z06 coupe's roof looks the same but is fixed in place. The convertible is for roadster purists, and its top, as tradition dictates, hides under a flip-open panel that lies flush with the body. The coupe and convertible come well-equipped with features such as xenon headlamps, keyless entry and startup, a tire-pressure monitor, leather seating, a six-way power driver seat and dual-zone automatic climate control. Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is a vintage classic 1952 MG TD. The MG T series is a range of body on frame convertible sports car that were produced by MG from 1936 to 1955. The series included the MG TA, MG TB, MG TC, MG TD, and MG TF Midget models. This 52 MG TD roadster was originally restored by the MG club of New England and was driven in the Circuit of Great Britain in 2000. This classy little roadster was once owned by Ballantines Scotch Company and was auctioned off by the company in honoring the 30th anniversary of their 1952 (our cars year) bottle of Scotch. The power plant for this 1952 MG TD is the original 1250 cc (1.3L) I4 four cylinder engine that is linked to four speed manual transmission both sporting a little over 24,000 miles since being rebuilt in 1982. This sporty little roadster was a California car for a little over 32 years and has been very well preserved and maintained over the years. This 1952 MG TD comes with a few extras like the side curtains, a tonneau cover, rear tire cover and the visor deflectors. Options Include: Manual convertible top, seat belts and leather interior.
