Up for sale is my 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. This is the GL2 trim model with a 3.4L V6 and 4-speed automatic. This car came to me from my dad who won it in a raffle in May 2014 in Wyoming. He gave it to my wife and I and we drove it in Michigan from July 2014 till now. It's been in Washington just over a year and is currently registered and insured here. In spite of being in Michigan for a couple of years, it is free of rust. From what I can determine, it has spent most of its life in Wyoming and Montana, though one of the service records I have seems to suggest that it spent some time in Tennessee, too. When I got the car, it had about 181,000 miles on it. I've done my best to take good care of it, but it has a few quirks that come with a high mileage car built by GM in this particular era. I have had problems with overheating on summer days climbing steep passes, but no internal damage was suffered. Oil shows no signs of coolant mixture. In November 2015 I had Tom's Chevron flush out the radiator (service record available) and that has seemed to help the cooling issues a bit. Since then I've driven the car to TriCities numerous times, and also to Seattle and Boise. No problems getting over Snoqualmie, Tollgate, or Cabbage Hill. It may run warm, like up to about 215 degrees (190 is when the thermostat opens) but it will usually sit right between 195 and 205. My guess is that another good radiator flush would help even more. In May 2016, I had the front wheel bearings replaced by Les Schwab in College Place (service record available). They informed me that the front pads and rotors needed replaced, so I performed that repair myself. I have put a couple thousand miles on the car since then and the brakes have performed very well with only the occasional squeak. Maybe because of the ceramic pads I put on it? Parts installed were from AC Delco.I have also replaced the fuel pressure regulator in this car. When I first got it, it was a little leaky and you could smell gas in the cabin. The new part fixed that problem. I also replaced the coolant overflow cap in my pursuit to cure my cooling problems, but the Murray cap that I bought didn't seem to fit very well and also didn't seem to change anything, so I put the stock one back on. I'm happy to include the aftermarket cap in the sale, however. The right front rim has a little chunk out of it, but I've never had any issues with leakage on any of the tires, so it seems to be just a cosmetic issue. The car does have its share of little nicks, dings, and scrapes all around, including some low on the front of the hood that have cut through the paint. Oil was changed and transmission fluid was topped off a couple months ago, so it won't need that for a while. It will need four new tires soon. As much as I have done to the rest of the car, I admit I have neglected the tires. This car has a weird size, 225/50R16. So your choices are pretty limited when it comes to replacing them. Tread depth is about 3/32" or so right now. The accessory belt may need replaced soon, too, but that's not official. Okay, enough crappy things! Good things! I have seen 34 mpg on the highway with this car, which is not bad for a pushrod V6 from the stone age. Most often though, I see about 21 around town, or high 20s when I'm taking a trip to TriCities and back. In the wintertime, it will do high teens around town. It's a good car for running around, doing errands, getting to work and back, etc. The engine pulls well and sounds kind of good. Trunk space is decent and the rear seats fold down. One of my favorite features of this car is that the computer monitors oil life for you. When it senses that the oil is getting old and not as effective, it will turn a dash light on telling you to change the oil. I like this because it's the car telling you what it needs based on how you drive, not the shop prescribing a certain way of doing things.I have gotten compliments on this car's looks and condition for what it is. I even cleaned up real nice one time and entered it in an all-Oldsmobile show back in Lansing summer before last, which was kind of fun. 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon. This car came out of Tennessee 3 years ago and had been sitting inside stored for three years prior to myself purchasing it. I have done the routine maintenance and tune up stuff on the vehicle . A new fuel system, plugs wires, cap rotor etc. when I first purchased the car. I updated a few things on the interior like new black loop pile carpet and much think new jute padding under it as the original carpet was a little tired, I also changed the door card lower carpet sections on each of the doors and the rear cargo area with new interior wood grain. New black vinyl on the top of the door panels to match the carpet. 2016 model radio head unit with USB/Aux ports and 4 speakers were updated. The interior is 8 out of 10 with everything in working order. I added a OEM Buick Roadmaster Vista shade on the sunroof. The headliner is in great shape. I installed 3M High end window tint that is heat reflective on all of the windows, It looks dark in the pictures but its not. The exterior is a 8 out of 10, it does have a few nicks here and there but over all the paint work is in excellent shape. I have added two of the OEM Buick Roadmaster Chrome luggage rails on top as the OEM Oldsmobile's are black. The tires are 235 75 15 with about 50% tread life left. Rear air shocks with working pump. I do have the original hubcaps that will go with the car. I updated the exhaust with a high flow Cat and Flowmaster exhaust which gives it a nice low rumble. V8 with 130900 original miles on it. Cold ac, works fine. I do drive the car on a regular basis so the miles will go up. This is a trust worthy vehicle and would drive it anywhere. Clean title. 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado Brougham True Survivor stored by the original owner in a very small town off Route 66. 66,000 documented original miles. It has never been wrecked or damaged. It has has some paint touch-up years ago by the original owner. He should have kept practicing his Dentistry and not touch up ! LOL ! Steering is tight, excellent exhaust, engine & transmission smooth as silk. Power brakes are very good, no oil leaks. She cruises excellent. Starts right up as she was tuned. Tons of Power & Torque ! A/C should be converted to 134A so I did not touch it. There is a slight crack (about 2") on the upper passenger side of the windshield within the tinted glass. Hardly noticeable. She is equipped with power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, cruise control, power seats, am/fm with factory 8 track. Included are numerous 8 tracks for your enjoyment. Padded vinyl roof is excellent, no tears, stains or rust underneath. Original Owners Manual, Dealer Brochure, and other factory paperwork from 1977. BODY PAINT IS A REPAINT OF THE CORRECT OCEAN TURQUOISE DONE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. IN PREVIOUS AD I WAS ASKED ABOUT RUST......THESE CARS WERE PRONE TO RUSTING IN A HARSH CLIMATE. THIS CAR CAME ORIGINALLY FROM TENNESSEE. SO TO ANSWER THE RUST QUESTION. WHAT WAS DONE TO THE CAR WAS THE TOP OF THE COWL WAS REPLACED WITH NEW PANEL, AND A NEW FLOOR PAN REPLACED IN THE DRIVERS FLOOR. THERE WAS SOME RUST ON THE SIDES 5 OR 6 SPOTS ON BOTH SIDES ABOUT 3 INCHES ABOVE THE CHROME TRIM LINE UNDER THE VINYL TOP. WAS TAKEN TO BARE METAL AND TREATED AND PAINTED BEFORE INSTALLATION OF NEW TOP. NO FENDERS, QUARTERS WERE NOT REPLACED OR REPAIRED . THEY DID NOT NEED IT. ALSO ASKED ABOUT THE A/C AND WHAT I THINK IS WRONG. I REPLACED THE A/C HOSES ON THE CAR BECAUSE THEY HAD LEAKED OUT FREON AND OIL. THERE IS CURRENTLY NO LEAKS IN THE AC SYSTEM. THE A/C WAS MORE THAN LIKELY CHARGED AT ONE TIME , AND NO OIL ADDED WHICH CAUSED INTERNAL FRICTION. IT COOLS BUT IS NOISEY. I DID REPLACE THE A/C CLUTCH IDLER BEARING. IF THE CAR IS SOLD I WILL FURNISH ENOUGH R12 FREON TO RECHARGE THE SYSTEM. ALSO TRANSMISSION QUESTION. EXCEPT FOR CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND REAR TAIL SHAFT SEAL , THE TRANSMISSION AS FAR AS I KNOW HAS NOT BEEN INTO. BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF THE CAR (46 YEARS) I WOULD ADVISE REBUILDING THE TRANSMISSION. I DON'T CARE HOW FEW MILES ARE ON A CAR THE RUBBER PRODUCTS IN TRANSMISSION WILL HARDEN AND GIVE PROBLEMS AFTER A SERIOUS AMOUNT OF YEARS. THE CULPRIT IS MOST LIKELY A FRONT PUMP SEAL. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FINE BUT , THESE CARS WERE KNOWN FOR THERE TORQUE, AND I WOULD NOT RISK DAMAGING THE MATCHING NUMBERS TRANSMISSION BY NOT DOING THE REBUILD. TO REPLACE THE FRONT PUMP SEAL THE TRANSMISSION HAS TO COME OUT ANYWAY AND IT MAKES SINCE TO GO AHEAD AND REPLACE CLUTCHES AND WHATEVER ELSE IT NEEDS. ALSO IN THE PHOTO WITH THE RED ARROWS. THE TWO TRIM END PIECES ARE PLASTIC AND WERE BROKEN , ALSO THE REAR WINDOW WINDLACE NEEDS REPLACING. A LOT OF THINGS I DID OR REPLACED I DID NOT MENTION IN THE ORIGINAL AD. I HAVE MANY RECIEPTS IF SOLD FOR THE NEW OWNER. THINGS THAT WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED BY NEW OWNER . A/C COOLS BUT HAS A WHINE WHEN TURNED ON. TRANSMISSION HAS A MINOR LEAK. PHOTOS OF BUBBLE IN PAINT AND SCRATCHED CHROME TRIM AT BOTTOM OF BACK GLASS. TRIM HAS SOME DENTS NOT PERFECT. CRUISE CONTROL HOOKED BACK UP. AND LAST DEFROSTER IF WANTED BACK IN CAR REINSTALL IF DESIRED. I AM A RETIRED AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC AND WORKED ON THESE CARS WHEN THEY WERE NEW AND WILL SAY THAT THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE DURING MY INSPECTION WAS VERY CLEAN. This is an amazing car and a very rare find. A 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass 'S', two-door coupe, California Black Plate car with 23k original, documented miles. This is a two owner car and it has just undergone a two year complete frame-off restoration. The car was purchased new in California and rarely driven by the first owner. The second owner purchased the car 35 years later in 2003 and it sat under a California carport until 2012. The car has never seen snow or salt and has always been 100% rust-free. It has never been crashed or wrecked. I have the open and signed California Title and Bill of Sale in hand. The car completely stripped to bare metal, including all jambs and inside of all body panels. The car retains all of its original sheet metal and had zero rust before being restored. All molding and emblem holes were welded-up, as well as the front fender mounted antenna, for a cleaner look. The new windshield has an internal radio antenna. Both the front and rear dash areas were re-painted the original Scarlet Red, while the glass was out. The car was then painted Gloss Black, using a urethane epoxy primer, two-stage base coat / clear coat urethane paint, then wet-sanded and buffed for a high luster finish. The bucket seat, console shift interior is 100% original and nothing has been changed or restored. The car has a factory tilt steering column and original AM radio. I have added an Autometer in-dash tachometer in the clock delete pod, which was tastefully done. The body was removed from the frame and all of the body-mount rubber bushings and bolts were replaced. The frame was painted satin black and the underside of the body was also painted satin black. Inside of the trunk remains original and untouched. The radiator core support was also rust-free; it was blasted and powder-coated satin black and it even has the original rust-free battery tray. Both front and rear bumpers were re-chromed by Tri-City Plating of Tennessee. Both pot metal vent window posts were re-chromed by R&D Finishing of Tennessee. All of the rubber bumpers and weather-stripping have been replaced with Metro SoffSeal. I installed a professionally rebuilt 1970 455c.i. engine with 'E' heads and Edelbrock Performer Package, including: camshaft, lifters, double roller timing chain, aluminum intake manifold, 750cfm carburetor and a G.M. HEI distributor. Also installed was a professionally rebuilt Turbo 350, 3-speed automatic transmission with a new torque convertor. The rear end gears were changed from 2.73:1 to 3.73:1. With 28" tall rear tires, the ratio is actually 3.55:1. A rebuilt high torque G.M. starter motor and a 105 Amp one-wire alternator were added. The custom-made dual exhaust system consists of 1 ¾" tube Hooker Headers with Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers and 2 ½" aluminized pipe, for an awesome sound. The original 14 inch wheels and bias-ply tires were replaced with 15 inch U.S.A. Made wheels and radial tires. The wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust II, rear size: 15"x10" and front size: 15"x7", with custom ordered backspacing. The tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T white-lettered radials, rear size: 275/60R/15 and front size: 225/70R/15. The car has the original spare tire and jack in mint condition. The car originally had front drum brakes and was upgraded to power front disc brakes. All (4) ball joints and front end parts were replaced with Moog components. All control arm bushings were upgraded to PST Polygraphite. Upgraded Moog front and rear coil springs were added along with (4) KYB gas shock absorbers. All fuel, brake and transmission lines were replaced, along with the fuel tank sending unit. The air conditioning system was re-sealed, converted from R12 to R134a and blows ice cold.
