Up for auction is my excellent 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT. V6 2.8 liter, Automatic 3 speed, all miles original. I have owned the car for more than a year, restoring it almost completely. Title is clear. Having extra vehicles and storage fees are just too much to make keeping it cost effective (as I only drive it once in awhile on nice days). The previous owner had lots of work done to it. I will list those repairs below. I have had a lot of restoration projects done on the car the past year. Those are listed below, too. I understand that I am not going to get all of my investment back from selling it. I am looking for a good owner (preferably an enthusiast). The first owner owned the car from June 1985 - 2014. The second owner was one of my Army Reserve friends who took great care of it. I am the third owner. There aren't many of these GT models left in good condition. Full leather interior. 2002 Corvette seats , Chrome yellow paint by Blad Boyz muscle cars in Dayton Oh in 2012. Some paint blemishes but otherwise perfect, needs little to be show ready. Up for auction is a very nice and rare 1985 Trans Am. This was a special order car. The owner had the 5 speed transmission added along with the T-tops.The car was sitting in the garage for 20 years. It had boxes piled on it and they scratched the paint. The car looks good but some of the clear coat is coming off on the driver, rear side as seen in the photos. The oil and other fluids have been changed. I drove the car down town to get it detailed, motor, shampoo and color buff, etc. The car turns heads. I did not put new tires on the car, I'll leave that up to the new owner. The Trans Am shifts very smooth, the brakes work fine. The A/C works but I'm sure will need Freon. All electrical works fine. Lights work great, power windows work without any problems. I put new strut's in for the hood and back hatch. There are a few squeaks here and there that need to be worked out, from sitting. I think that all it needs is new tires, shock's/ struts, etc. And if I was to keep it, I get a new paint job. There is one small tear on the top corner of the driver's seat as seen in the photo. The drivers door hing drops a bit and the back of the door rubs on closure. See photo. Door's close fine and no rattles with the doors, etc. I drove it 50 miles and it drove very well. Radio and speakers work as well. It's hard to find a 5 speed in this condition. The car was owned by a very good man who ended up sick. I bought the car from the family to keep, but I'd rather have a 1977 to 1981 style car. I'm in the Pontiac POCI/ GMC club. The only real damage is the right front lower valance. I found one on e-Bay, but lost the bid. It sold for $80. If you have any questions, please ask... Also, in the photo, the driver door looks like it doesn't close. The door is ajar, not closed all the way. The door does close tight. There is also a piece of trim missing on the door, as seen in the photo's. The T-Tops lock but there is no key :o(. The drivers side is unlocked. The passenger side is locked. It needs to be unlocked. This is the only Trans Am that I've had with locking T-Tops. I've had 6 Trans Am's all the other's didn't have locking T-Tops... I am selling my 1985 Pontiac Fiero that has been my daily driver for the past three years. Ive put on about 9k miles since 2013 and have recently purchased another car so its time to sell. The car runs and drives well and is in good condition. For a weekend mechanic this can be a daily driver or a project car to upgrade or restore. I will do my best to give an accurate description of the car and the work that's been done. The paint is faded and has some imperfections. The plastic quarter windows have cracks and one headlight does not go down. I replaced the gear in the passenger side headlight motor with an aluminum upgrade but when the headlight goes down automatically now it drains the battery, so I unplugged the "headlight down" relay. Engine related, the catalytic converter has been removed and the A/C belt is not hooked up. There is a small oil leak from the timing chain cover that drips onto the alternator belt and causes a squeal that occurs on start up but stops soon after. There is also a small electrical short somewhere that causes the battery to drain down over the period of a week. Last, the coolant temperature sensor is broken. Interior is good with scuffs and marks on some of the fabric. The headliner is loose and the cigarette lighter does not work. The parking brake functions but needs adjusted. Here is a detailed list on the condition of the vehicle: Exterior: Paint is faded mainly on roof, hood, and trunk lid. Plastic Quarter windows are cracked One headlight motor needs adjusted to work properly Engine: Catalytic Converter has been removed Oil drip from timing chain cover Belt squeal on startup Coolant temperature sensor broken Fuel float level sensor does not work Electrical short causes battery to drain over time Has A/C equipped engine although belt is not hooked up to compressor Interior: Various fabric and interior surface marks Parking brake functions but needs adjusted Headliner is loose Cigarette lighter does not work Light behind temperature gauge is out Now for the items that have been replaced: When the car was purchased: ALL new brake pads, rotors, and calipers Fuel Pump Throttle Cable Spark Plugs Passenger headlight gear and other internal components EGR Valve IAC Valve Battery Windshield Wipers License Plate light New tires all around Replaced last year in 2015: Head gasket and all other top end gaskets Valve Cover and valve cover gasket Spark Plugs and wires Coolant thermostat Push rod cover gasket Air Filter (There was a small external coolant leak from the head which is why I replaced the head gasket) All in all, she is a great little car and has been fun to own for a few years. I just don't have the time to invest in it or keep it till i have the time. I have a clear title for the car and there are historic tags on the car currently.
