Perfect car for "The Race of Gentlemen" Authentic, Historic, Documented, Preserved It's history is fully documented. Too many cars have stories for which there is no documentation or independent corroboration. It was influential, and innovative and recognized as such by virtue of it's Oakland Roadster Show award. The engineering and fabrication was far above the average. Not only was it very well built, it was unique. Then as now, too many hot rods were all built to the same formula with the same parts bought from the same sources. No imagination, or innovation seen. This car however is the exception to the rule, built with all sorts of parts and design unlike any other rod of the time. For example the airplane motor timing cover and gear drive for the magneto and dry sump oil system. What other rods, then or now had a dry sump oil pump! The hand made intake manifold, not to mention the tremendous work (as outlined in the "HONK!" article) to adapt the Ford crankshaft to the Chevrolet block. The Harry Miller head is also an important piece of American Racing History. The quality of the construction is far more competent and professional that one might have expected from a car built at home in a driveway. Even the pickup bed construction is very impressive - the design incorporates complex curves and visual elements that truly set it apart. The joints and joinery techniques are what one usually only sees in very find furniture. This is clearly no typical amateur build and it has endured all these decades. All body panels appear original and gaps are excellent. A factory AC car but the AC components are missing. Trunk and battery tray are prisitine and rust free as you can see in the pictures. The underside is also in excellent original condition with no rust rust repair. Super solid. Interior appears original and is showing it's age but is still presentable. Car runs and drives well. A true 300B, This car wears 3N56 VIN and retains its original dateplate in front of the radiator (signifying Model # 44 300B) Same owner since the early 70's. With the exception of the motor, and one respray in the original color, this car is all original. The interior has never been touched. It has all of it's original body panels, spare, jack, trunk carpet and paneling as well as many of it's original engine compartment details. There is NO rust and the floors and frame are in excellent condition. A true 300B 3N56 VIN and original dateplate in front of the radiator (signifying Model # 44 300B) The motor is a freshly rebuilt 1957 392 Hemi.(CE57-3082) = 392 4v from a 1957 Imperial. We have receipts for this. Transmission is the two speed Automatic Powerflite. In addition to the recent motor rebuild, (approx 200 miles since) the car has also recently has new tires, bolied gas tank, new exhaust, radiator flushed and brakes done. New heater core, rebuilt starter, generator and voltage regulator. I would feel confident driving this on a long trip. All gauges and lights fully functional as are the radio, wipers and horn. This car truly is a wonderful time capsule. Please note the owner prior to the most recent one, sometime in the 60's, attempted to make this car into a Daytona replica and as such he removed the power brakes and power steering. There were 5773 Bullitts produced in 2008, 4377 were done in Dark Highland Green 7500 VERY CAREFUL miles - most of which were added by a 59-yr old driver (me) who got his hot-rodding done with the last Corvette he owned and bought this as a work of art - not a daily driver. My Dad took me to see Bullitt when I was a youngster, and I never forgot it. When I saw the introduction of this tribute car, I had to have it. No scoops, no spoilers, no stripes - oh my! Very subtly understated, just like the king of cool himself. The car was so perfect when I got it, I just had to keep it that way. Early build number: 0545 Rare options: The car was custom-ordered with Navigation system, Ambient Lighting, and Hands-Free Phone - the Ford Mobil-Ease Bluetooth system - installed at the factory These options alone added another $2980 on top of the $3310 Bullitt Package in the sticker-price. I have not seen another Bullitt with all three of these options. Always garaged and covered Never seen any bad weather Every single engine startup/trip is logged along with trip miles and significant events (oil changes, etc.) in a spreadsheet I will provide with the car. Only mark on the car is on the rear bumper when I was pushing the car back and bumped into the garage door and one of the hinge bolts pressed into the paint a little bit. Never taken to a car-wash - always hand-cleaned/polished/waxed - no swirls, etc. If you are looking for a pristine example of the breed, look no further - this is IT No disappointments Car has had 3 owners - the original buyer was a huge Bullitt enthusiast who paid a large premium for one of the earliest cars, and was insistent on keeping the car perfect. Fortunately, he was also very meticulous about keeping EVERYTHING to do with the car, even sale paperwork, registration documents, recall maintenance, service history, etc. The second owner was just as fastidious, and drove the car primarily to car shows and never used it as a driver. I bought the car from him with 2950 miles on it, and it was everything he said it was. Since then, it has not grown any older if I could help it. I have been more of a caretaker for it than a driver and now it is time to pass that responsibility on to someone else. That privilege and responsibility will cost you $25,000 and well worth it

A very presentable eye-catching British roadster in great condition both cosmetically and aesthetically. This particular example features great upgrades for practicality, comfort, reliability and looks. A California original black plate car, this example was created for performance and comfort by Performance Fabrication of San Carlos, CA. Power comes from a 383CI crate stroker motor which is mated to a Gear Vendors six speed automatic transmission. Both perform perfectly, putting traction down via a 12 bolt Posi rear end. During the build, all running gear and suspension was upgraded with Hotchkis bracing and springs and Bilstein shocks. Power disc brakes by Wildwood front and back. Rally wheels with Corvette center caps are wrapped in fresh BF Goodrich rubber. Other power options include power steering and windows. The exterior of the car is immaculate, with excellent paint matched to a new vinyl top. Interior was also fully redone - new upholstery, carpeting, door panels and headliner. Modern upgrades include remote central locking and alarm by Clifford and a multi-amp stereo and subwoofer.
