Up for sale in our Louisville showroom is this stunning 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. With only 6052 Super Sport Monte Carlo Aero Coupes built during 1987, this is a one off amazing piece of history. Bought by the current owner 20 years ago, he decided to build this car the way Chevy should have done it! The anemic 5.0L V8 that put out only an anemic 180 Horses to the ground has been discarded. We all tried to convince ourselves, back in the day, that the 305 was awesome, but it%26acirc;??s what you do when you overcompensating for your deficiencies. The replacement is a very healthy 350 CID engine that has bored .030 over the block lined bored, plate honed to insure everything stayed straight during the machining process. The rotating assembly has been balanced, to insure longevity of this power plant, with a set of TRW forged flat top pistons installed and a Crane roller cam (computer friendly cam) to make this a rock solid piece. To allow this engine to breathe properly, a set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, held in place by ARP head bolts and Crane Gold roller rockers fro reliability with less resistance. To get plenty of air into the heads, a T.P.I.S. Big Mouth intake with matched big tube runners and BBK throttle body set at op the engine. All GM sensors are new with a new GM Computer. The exhaust is a set of Edelbrock headers, with a.i.r. injection, that have been Jet Hot coated so they will last for the life of the car. From the headers, a Torque Tech 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust system with Walker Super Dyno-Max mufflers. The whole engine compartment including the wiring system has been done to appear factory. The engine is estimated to put out a minimum 360 hp, or twice the original power plant. To handle extra power, the original 200r4 with Art Carr internals and an Art Carr torque Converter. The rear end has been swapped out for a Buick Grand National rear end that has new bearings, posi unit, 3.73 ring %26 pinion with a set of Moser Street/Strip axles to make the rear end nearly bullet proof. The interior is all original burgundy cloth seats and original dashboard. When you set in the interior, it still looks and smells as good as the day it rolled off the showroom. Outside the car, the vehicle is done in White gloss paint, with pin striping that very closely matches the factory scheme, with difference being on the hood indicating what lies beneath. Before the new white paint was laid down, the car was taken completely apart, including being separated from the frame. The frame was sand blasted, painted in a semi gloss, then all new parts were installed including; new stainless fuel %26 brake lines, Bell Tech 2 inch front drop spindles, 2 inch Bell-Tech springs in rear w/shocks, NOS GM body bushings. To finish off the look is a set of COYs 5 wheel with gray centers and a polished outer lip. One look under the shows the unmatched detail to attention that has been brought to the whole build of this car. This Monte Carlo has won at Car Shows regularly over the last 10 years and will continue to win shows! 1979 Malibu Classic Landau The story that I got when I bought it is that it sat under the elderly original owner's carport for many years until their son inherited it. It seems clean enough to fit that story, unmolested until I got it, even has the original AM/FM radio that works. I have no idea if the mileage is original or if it's rolled once, but it is clean enough to be original. it has a service sticker on the spacesaver spare from 1991, and that shows 52,000 miles. Originally a 305 car, I bought it, installed the rebuilt GN rear that I had left from another G body (hardly any miles on it), and then shortly after the .040 over 400 SBC. Not sure of the HP, but it's a lot. One of the faster cars that I have owned. Not perfect by any means, but very, very clean. Basically an extremely nice Malibu with a $6500 engine, $2000 rear end, and $1000 transmission. I just installed $650 worth of new Quick Fuel Slayer 750 vacuum secondary, Holley 110 GPH mechanical fuel pump, and braided line from pump to carb. The A/C worked fine before I did the swap, but it needs an aftermarket bracket on the side to clear the header, a belt, and to be recharged. It was repainted before I bought it, a very good paint job, but not show quality. It does have bubbling under the vinyl half top on the sides and the top. I've had it about 2 years, and it hasn't progressed any further. I suspect that the top may have been glued on over primer after it was primed, and that area not painted. Visually, the Energy-mounted block rides in a smoothed and massaged engine bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly. And details like Billet Specialties breathers, Billet Specialties hose clamps, a Billet Specialties water neck, ARP bolts, Fel-Pro gaskets and a Moroso dipstick create a clean and purposeful aesthetic. DRIVETRAIN Take a look under this tire-shredding courier and you'll find a custom, Luxo-Blue chassis that's ready for the strip or the turntable. Behind the big engine, a GM 700R4 4-speed spins between a high performance ProTorque torque converter and Coleman aluminum driveshaft. That driveshaft twists a proven Dutchman 9-inch that rocks an Auburn posi-traction differential around 3.55 gears and 31-spline axles. Those gears push the car on a trick Ridetech 4-link that's fitted with adjustable Ridetech air shocks. And power meets the pavement through attractive Budnik Cannons, which spin 245/40ZR18 Falken FK452s in front of 255/40ZR19 Falken FK452s. INTERIOR Pop the shaved doors and you'll find a substantially tweaked interior that was installed by Great 8 guru Dale Van Curen's Unlimited Designs. Front and center, '67 GTO buckets wrap bright stainless trim around creamy Doe hides. In front of those seats, a chrome-lined dash hangs a rebuilt clock, Vintage Air climate control and a Custom Autosound head unit beside traditional Classic Instruments gauges. BODYWORK/TRIM The great thing about '55-'57 Chevys is that you can customize them any way you want. On the other hand, the terrible thing about '55-'57 Chevys is that you can customize them any way you want. Truly spectacular tri-fives are much less common than their vast production numbers would suggest, but when they're as well done as this double nickel, they tend to stand out from the pack. Sure, the car's flashy Gypsy Red paint certainly helps in achieving that effect, but it is a very traditional color. And when combined with flowing sheetmetal, 50s-era trim and Shoreline Beige uppers, it goes from flashy to classically elegant. ENGINE Pop the hood and you'll find a reliable, 350 cubic inch small block that's been bored .030 over, fitted with a hot Crane cam and equipped with traditional flattop pistons. Revs are created when a chrome, bowtie-topped air cleaner floats wind in to a coated Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum Edelbrock intake. At the perimeter of that intake, 76cc heads hang hardened valve seats under chrome Edelbrock rocker covers and a bowtie-branded breather. Behind that breather, a modern HEI distributor shoots spark through loomed Moroso Super Stock plug wires. Below those wires, trick manifolds take care of spent gases while traditional V-belts spin an upgraded alternator between modern air conditioning and modern power steering. And in front of those ancillaries, a beefy Be Cool radiator fronts a giant SPAL puller fan. Despite being a thoroughly modernized piece, the Chevy Orange mill looks right at home in the car's Satin Black engine compartment. And details like a polished brake booster, a coated fuel pump and a quality CVR starter mix first-rate looks with first-rate functionality. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Like its clean engine bay and classy exterior panels, the bottom of this road ready sedan continues the theme of pairing proven hardware with enhanced technology. Predictably, the smooth small block transfers power to a reliable 700R4 4-speed. That tweaked transmission torques a tough JWC driveshaft, which spins a familiar Ford 9-inch around 3.50 gears and 31-spline Moser axles. Naturally the car's suspension has been thoroughly upgraded, with 2-inch drop blocks and relocated leaf springs following tubular control arms, 2-inch drop spindles and a sturdy front sway bar. Turns come courtesy of modern power steering. Power-assisted discs provide quick stops. Exhaust exits through welded turbo mufflers and polished stainless tips. And all that reliable hardware rides on a sweet set of chrome Rally Wheels, which spin 215/65R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 255/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. The build began when Steve's Auto Restorations of Portland, Oregon replaced the car's factory lead and sealed everything in a thick coat of protective primer. With a solid foundation laid, Steve Cooley Motors of Homosassa, Florida followed subtle modification with a custom combination of Corvette LeMans Blue and Cadillac Sand Effect DuPont Chroma Premier 2-stage. And today, countless hours and over six-figures later, this Chevy rolls as a lights-out show car that's been deservedly fawned over by some of the biggest names in the business. As a classic car owner, you really can't go wrong with any '50s Chevy. But for many people, the division's '57 model essentially perfected the art. Take a look at this gorgeous wagon and you'll see no less than 22 one-of-a-kind details that walk a fine aesthetic line between the timeless look of factory fodder and the radical, sometimes cheeky appearance of fiberglass recreations. At the front of the car, a recessed grille bar floats between modern headlamps, a filled bumper and a shaved and flattened hood. At the back of that hood, stainless-framed glass rides between modified drip rails, shaved vent windows, polished mirrors and Chevy 150 door trim. Beneath that trim, shaved doors perfectly align Chevy 150 side spears with shaved fenders and smooth-leaded quarters that are capped with Chevy 210 2-door wagon stainless. And at the back of the car, a shaved tailgate hangs between filled pan seams, flush-fit taillights and a bright chrome bumper. ENGINE As young car guys, most of us are taught that talking the talk means we'd better walk the walk. And when it comes to talking the talk, this sedan's inability to shut up can be directly attributed to the walking ability afforded by its 502 cubic inch GM Performance Parts big block. Twisting stout 9.75 to 1 compression into roughly 550 horsepower, the car's show-detailed mill is a logical testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower. A perfect air/fuel mixture is supplied by a K&N-toothed Billet Specialties air cleaner and 780cfm Quick Fuel carburetion. That dynamic duo rides on a ported and coated Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, which is bolted between ported and coated Chevrolet heads. Those heads hang polished and color-keyed valve covers over Crower roller rockers, custom Comp pushrods and high quality Crane lifters. Those lifters are tapped by a Crane cam, which is sequenced to loomed Taylor plug wires and an MSD Pro-Billet distributor. Spent gases roar through large exhaust pipes via custom William's headers. At the front of those headers, a familiar Vintage Air FrontRunner system spins a polished Stewart water pump between a Tuff Stuff alternator, a Sanden AC compressor and a Detroit Speed power steering pump. And that water pump feeds a beefy Griffin radiator that's wedged between Flex-a-lite puller fans and a Be Cool condenser. Visually, the Energy-mounted block rides in a smoothed and massaged engine bay that displays OEM-level attentiveness to both engineering and assembly. And details like Billet Specialties breathers, Billet Specialties hose clamps, a Billet Specialties water neck, ARP bolts, Fel-Pro gaskets and a Moroso dipstick create a clean and purposeful aesthetic. DRIVETRAIN Take a look under this tire-shredding courier and you'll find a custom, Luxo-Blue chassis that's ready for the strip or the turntable. Behind the big engine, a GM 700R4 4-speed spins between a high performance ProTorque torque converter and Coleman aluminum driveshaft. That driveshaft twists a proven Dutchman 9-inch that rocks an Auburn posi-traction differential around 3.55 gears and 31-spline axles. Those gears push the car on a trick Ridetech 4-link that's fitted with adjustable Ridetech air shocks. Opposite that 4-link, a Kimbridge Enterprises sub-frame makes good use of Belltech drop spindles, Global West control arms, a Flaming River quick-ratio steering box and two more adjustable Ridetech air shocks. At the corners of that modern suspension, hydroboosted Baer calipers bridge the gap between an SSBC master cylinder, and drilled and slotted rotors. Charred dinosaurs float from the aforementioned headers to 2.5-inch, mandrel-bent pipes that employ an X-shaped crossover and polished Magnaflow mufflers. And power meets the pavement through attractive Budnik Cannons, which spin 245/40ZR18 Falken FK452s in front of 255/40ZR19 Falken FK452s. INTERIOR Pop the shaved doors and you'll find a substantially tweaked interior that was installed by Great 8 guru Dale Van Curen's Unlimited Designs. Front and center, '67 GTO buckets wrap bright stainless trim around creamy Doe hides. In front of those seats, a chrome-lined dash hangs a rebuilt clock, Vintage Air climate control and a Custom Autosound head unit beside traditional Classic Instruments gauges. At the edges of that dash, custom side panels anchor billet door handles between modern power windows, LeMans Blue frames and tasteful stainless trim. BODYWORK/TRIM Assembled in July of 1967, and delivered to Bob Brown Chevrolet in Des Moines, Iowa, this awesome Camaro is the beneficiary of a ground-up reboot that was conducted by Rics Restoration of Chesterfield, Michigan. The work began with stripping the car's body to bare metal and fitting a solid center-section with new fenders and fresh quarters. When those pieces were smooth and tightly aligned, a rich coat of Tuxedo Black 2-stage was accented with a vivid bumblebee stripe. And today, a 3-time Detroit Autorama champion, this drop-top rolls as top-notch classic that preserves some of the best attributes of Chevrolet history! With its timeless proportions and modernist panels, the first generation Camaro is an inherently attractive design. And with today's world-class restoration techniques, it has become an excellent canvas for any skilled builder to create a seriously nice car. At the front of this clean F1, a black Rally Sport grille centers bright "SS" lettering between a fresh header emblem, '67-exclusive parking lamps and a fully guarded bumper. Above that grille, a louvered hood leads the eye to like-new glass that's bordered by straight trim and a pliable, power-operated roof. At the sides of that hood, sculpted fenders and dent-free rocker guards combine with a polished mirror, traditional door handles and an array of correct emblems to detail the car's glossy, wet-look profile. And at the back of those fenders, Rally Sport-exclusive taillights illuminate a Camaro-branded trunk, an "SS" branded fuel cap and a second guarded bumper. ENGINE Under this coupe's Kansas-flat hood you'll find 396 cubic inches of era-correct, big block V8. Professionally rebuilt by the pros at Wot Now Performance of Merrillville, Indiana, that fully blueprinted engine utilizes a Clevite cam, Speed Pro rings, Manley valves, Crane springs and Comp Magnum rockers to twist stout compression into massive horsepower! At the top of the mean mill, a chrome, open-element air cleaner swirls wind in to a color-keyed intake via Quadrajet carburetion. At the sides of that intake, factory heads hang polished valve covers over restored exhaust manifolds. And at the back of those heads, a mandatory points distributor shoots spark through fresh Packard TV R Suppression cables. When fired, the infamous 396 rumbles as expected. Its ancillary components are top-notch in every way, with pliable, GM-branded hoses, a refinished brake booster and a fresh, Delco-topped battery accompanying a correctly shrouded radiator. And an evenly sprayed combination of Chevy Orange skin and Satin Black framing is carefully interrupted by variety of correct decals. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Given the power that 396 produces, it seems only natural that the car's restorers chose to stick with GM's tough Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed. That stalwart gear slinger is backed by a correctly marked driveshaft, which is connected to a 12-bolt, posi-traction axle. That first-rate drivetrain is held off the ground by a completely rebuilt suspension, which includes power front disc and rear drum brakes, factory-spec power steering, mono-leaf springs and correct spiral shocks. It is all dissected by a beefy, true-dual exhaust system, which is fitted with a correct, transversely mounted muffler and framed by mostly-original floors and clean paint perfectly highlighting a stainless fuel tank. Those floors roll on predictable Chevy Rallys, which spin D70-14 Firestone Wide Oval Super Sports around dent-free trim rings and correct stainless center caps. And that chassis has, like the car's engine, been restored to fully sorted, road-ready condition. INTERIOR The Custom Parchment and Black interior hiding behind this Camaro's small doors illustrates the true, no frills intentions of Chevrolet's original pony car. Its striped Strato Bucket seats look and feel fantastic. In front of those seats, a stainless-trimmed dash, which exhibits no signs of warping or peeling, hangs stainless-trimmed foot pedals below optional factory telemetry and a Delco pushbutton radio. A correct console founds a simple chrome shifter behind small accessory gauges. That seat, dash and console trifecta is completely framed by fade-free carpet, Fisher-branded lap belts and Deluxe door panels that found optional power windows. A familiar, wood-rimmed steering wheel spins satin spokes and a patriotic Chevrolet centerpiece around a tilting column. And behind the passengers, a folding seat leads to a solid trunk that's been correctly restored with a new mat, a new jack, a full-size tire and fresh decklid decals. VERY few dealers take the time we do to give complete descriptions simply so that our bidders can make educated decisions and not be surprised when they pick up their new cars.  Work with us here and at least read what we’ve written.  245 740 745 960 760GLE 760GL 240GL s70 960     We’re one of eBay’s top sellers of older cars and trucks.  Normally we specialize in older Mercedes Diesels and Diesel trucks, Geo Metros, and classic Volvo 240s.  Basically we like listing the interesting cars people like as opposed to the cars people are forced to drive. h1>   Whenever I’m selling a 240DL wagon I am always reminded of the idiots on the American Top Gear that dropped a 1990 model on its rear from a crane 20 feet in the air.  But the fact that they did that and the car just drove away is why the Volvo 240’s are so special.  These are hands down the safest and most reliable cars out there.  Even now, 22 years later, they still return excellent fuel economy and are easily the most inexpensive car in the industry to maintain and own. The 240DL Wagons are considerably more desirable over the sedans as they are so useful as a family wagon as well as being so comfortable to drive on a daily basis.  They are also harder to find because they’ve generally always seen harder use for the same reason.  The 240’s made after 1990 are the best because they have the added benefit of the driver’s side SRS airbag for extra safety and ABS brakes.     When we found this Volvo at a dealer auction we made sure we came home with it because they have become so hard to find.  We brought it down to our shop, did our assessment, and here is basically the list of what we’ve had done to the car: We replaced the transmission with a lower mileage used one. Disassembled the fuse box, cleaned it, and replaced all fuses. Replaced the muffler, tail and engine pipes, and exhaust hangers. Replaced the relay for the condenser fan. Repaired damaged wiring within the AC system. Installed a new O2 sensor. Replaced the rear shocks and the brake pads.   The end result $2500 and countless hours later was this long list and a very nice running Volvo wagon!  And please keep in mind that we invested $2500 into this car at OUR shop which works for us at a greatly reduced rate.  If you walked into a Volvo shop and wanted all this work done to a Volvo 240 they'd most likely had you a bill closer to $3500 if not more!  We also had the car buffed and waxed and it made a huge difference and brought back a lot of the original luster to the paint.  The body was rust free to start with so now it looks really nice and doesn’t have too many the little nicks and scratches you’d expect to see on a 200K mile family wagon.  95% of the original trim is also present. The new owner here is going to drive a really nice family wagon home!     We always like to show some closer in pictures of our cars so you can get in idea of just how nice they are.  There is nothing but good to see on this classic wagon!     Here you can see how nice the proper period Volvo hubcaps are and what the tread is like on the tires. The tires are not new but all have very good tread on them.     We’re not into hiding anything so here you can see the condition of the underbody!     Both our service manager and myself put about several hundred trouble free miles on this Volvo.  We have zero doubts about it being able to drive cross-country if needed. We’ll show this beauty off and let it speak to you itself!     Everything about this ’92 240DL Estate screams quality, pure class and luxury, and longevity!  No one makes a car to this degree of quality and simplicity anymore or ever will again.  It’s rare to see them in this kind of condition!  Here’s your chance to own one!       For a 22 year old non-smoking interior we were very pleased!  Pictures do not lie!  The tan vinyl seats are all in excellent condition with the only wear being under the cover on the driver’s seat itself.  There is very little abnormal wear showing anywhere else. This is really a beautifully kept interior for its age!      The dash area is in the same excellent condition as the rest of the car.  The dash itself looks great.  So does the headliner though the plastic center console is broken where it faces the rear seats.  All the gauges work including the clock.  All the power windows work along with the wiper on the rear window.  The left rear window operates on the switch on the rear door and not on the master.  The right rear window goes down with the master switch but needs to be raised using the rear switch.   The stock stereo has been replaced with a digital CD player that sounds very nice.  The climate control system works fine and the blower motor does not have any bearing squealing. The AC compressor works and blows cold for the summer!  Everything looks very nice and there is not a whole lot to go wrong here. The odometer is not working on this car so we are listing it as TMU (True Mileage Unknown).  By extrapolating on the reported mileage on the Autocheck report we honestly believe that the miles are somewhere between 200-205K.  In our experience this is the perfect miles for one of these 240’s when they are finally getting broken in.   We tend to judge these Volvos more on overall condition than miles since they will run forever mechanically.     The original manuals are included!     Look at this SWEET, clean hatch area.  What is VERY rare with this car is that it has the Volvo accessory shield in excellent working condition.  These privacy shields are impossible to source these days.  It is rare just to see one and even rarer to find one that still looks and works good.  This car does not have the third seat option.     This is an outstanding interior considering it’s age and the mileage on the car! Family Volvos, since they last forever and are so darn useful, normally get hard use from their owners and it is very RARE to find an interior in this kind of condition!       Under the hood is the famous Volvo 2.3-liter MFI four cylinder!  This is the same engine that my wife has in her Volvo!  This is pretty much one of the greatest gasoline engines ever built.  It will easily go for 500K miles with only simple common sense maintenance.  You do NOT need some big, blonde Swedish guy named Sven to work on it.  Any mechanic can and all the parts are easily available.  This one starts and runs great with no leaking or smoking! This engine is reliable and very inexpensive to maintain!  It gives great torque and is still rated to return excellent fuel economy even by today’s standards!  You can see how clean everything is!     The automatic transmission with overdrive that we installed in the car shifts great in all conditions.  While we didn’t get all the service records for this car (and there are several older receipts in the service booklet), it has been our experience that these cars do not survive 24 years in this kind of condition if they haven’t been properly maintained.  We did have our service shop look the car over and put a lot of miles on it and they weren’t able to detect anything that was in need of immediate attention after we got done working on it.  We worked on the window regulators, the exhaust, the rear shocks, and replaced the entire transmission.  Volvo 240s are very safe bets as indestructible as they are.     And here is the VIN plate just so everyone can do their due diligence!         If you have EVER been in the market for a very nice Volvo wagon and miss out on this one, you MIGHT be tempted to do this!     Because we’ve only got this one Volvo available! A vehicle that is described as "very nice", "Excellent", "beautiful", etc, is described that way based on similar vehicles of that age and mileage. Some buyers are “experts” on some vehicles while we are not. Our descriptions, including vehicle features, are listed as accurately as possible, although we are not responsible for typographical errors in the listing.  We cannot/will not guarantee systems like Air Conditioning.  A vehicle’s air conditioning system may operate fine when we check the vehicle and then not when you come and pick it up.  This happens if a system has a small leak that we have no way of knowing about, especially when a vehicle sits.  The same thing applies to stereos.  Many aftermarket digital stereos are difficult to operate without manuals and we’re not in the habit of checking the operation of CD players or changers.  We will not reimburse for or perform any air conditioning system repair on any vehicle, even if the system is listed as working and it does not when you pick up the vehicle. This also applies to power options (windows, locks, seats, mirrors, radios, climate control, entertainment systems, etc)  Being that these are used vehicles, not all original equipment is always included with the vehicle.  Items including, but not limited to, extra keys or fobs, owners manuals, new car smell, spare tires (jacks, wheel tools), remotes, CD changer magazines, and floor mats, may not be included with the vehicle. The seller will not pay for these items if they are not there, or remove them from another vehicle.  Most of these items can be purchased from a dealer, auto parts store, or on eBay cheaply. About Our Photographs People often ask me about, or compliment me on, my photography and how I do the pictures.  I work on a system and take basically the same set of pictures for every single vehicle.  Check our current and previous auctions to verify this.  I try to use the same location every time if possible.  I do NOT (and don’t have the time to) get sneaky with angles or lighting in an attempt to hide flaws.  While I do not specifically highlight flaws we don’t hide them because they’ll be seen eventually.  Some folks are scared that the vehicle pictured might be very different from the one they see.  Our photographs are taken with a pocket sized Canon SX-120is digital camera or an iPhone 4S.  I process them using Apple’s iPhoto version 8.1.2.  The only modifications I make to photographs are to crop them so they are framed properly.  Beyond that, I will only use the program’s automatic Enhance feature and then sharpen the photos so details will be more visible to the bidders in case they wish to download them to their desktops and further enlarge them. Several buyers have flattered me by asking to have copies of their vehicle’s photographs because they liked them so much. IPhoto is NOT like Photoshop and doesn’t give me the ability to alter or cover up huge rust holes in my photos.  I take a HUGE amount of pride in what I do and enjoy taking photos and like presenting cars nicely but, when processing 100’s of pictures, I don’t have the time or desire to modify pictures beyond what they are.  I’m not in the business of misleading buyers through pictures.  I take the photos and I’m the guy that meets you when you pick up the car.  Obviously, since I walk with a cane and my ass is easy to kick, it is better there are no surprises.  It’s that simple.  When you try it, digital photography is pretty simple. A detailed inspection of the vehicle revealed a totally fresh zero miles driven body off modified 100 point restoration. Black Cherry Pearl color was done in B/C - C/C---applied to an extremely straight and well prepared surface. Finished paint work was then wet color sanded with #2000 paper. Surface was then buffed with a wool pad, then polished with foam pad and finally hand rubbed to the final depth of gloss. All chrome and stainless bright work was either replated or professionally straightened, buffed and polished. Rolling chassis consisted of a complete tear down with all components being sandblasted and either finished out with powder coating or epoxy paint. All suspension bushings and body bushings were replaced with polygraphite energy suspension parts. Front brakes were also converted to power disc using a kit supplied by Stainless Steel Brake Corp. All new brake lines and flex lines were done in stainless steel. A two inch drop front spindles by Global West were installed. A #605 power steering conversion box was added. Both coil springs and leaf springs are new Hotokis. Shocks are gas adjust KYB. Car rides on a set of Crager SS mags and Hawk wide oval tires. Power is supplied by a stock block 1973 Chevy 300 HP 350 cu. In. engine which was bored .30 over and fitted with TRW pistons - Lunati cam and crane rocker assemblies. Carburetion is Quadrojet.. Ignition was upgraded to Accell HEI unit. Aluminum radiator was a BE-COOL Co. unit specific to '55 Chevys. A high torque electric fan system cools the engine. A billet aluminum overflow catch tank is mounted on the core support. A Muncie 4 speed and Hurst shifter with a Center Force clutch transfer power to the rebuilt stock differential. All electrical wiring harnesses were replaced with M & H brand products. All switches and relays and sockets were replaced with new. Battery cell was relocated to the trunk area and housed in a Billet Specialist battery box. Chromed 130 amp hi-output alternator keeps the system charged.
