He is downsizing and simplifying his life and wanna get rid of lotta cars and other items. This car runs great and has no issues whatsoever. It was last registered in 2009. It has been sitting in Seattle Washington since 2010. Was started from time to time by the care taker. Two weeks ago this car was driven to Los Angeles from Seattle WA without any problems of issues. That is approx. 1200 miles trip one way. It is being sold on "AS IS' basis in order to avoid any issues after the sale. The trip from Germany to Italy was just the beginning of the car's international history. After two Milanese owners, 120564 arrived in California, where it resided until the famous Matsuda Collection (The Porsche Museum of Japan) purchased it in the 1980s. When the collection broke up in 1999 the Carrera 2 returned to the West Coast of the United States to be put into the private collection of esteemed car collector John McCaw. He would end up selling the car a year later to Douglas Atkins of Seattle, Washington with 73,137 kilometers (45,445 miles). In January of 2001 Atkins had the car stripped down for a cosmetic restoration by Rudi & Company. During the restoration the car was found to be rust free, and still had its original floors and body panels. 120564 was painted in its correct silver, and a new, green leather interior from Autos International was installed. Being a Rudi & Company restoration the work was impeccable, and the car was completed in June of 2002. After its restoration Atkins drove the car to Monterey from Seattle for Speedsterfest in the 2004, where it performed flawlessly. The Carrera 2 was maintained regularly, and has only covered 6700 miles since 2000. Since arriving at Canepa the Carrera has been fully mechanically serviced and cosmetically detailed. The original four-cam engine, one of the most complex and exquisite engines ever designed, was fully rebuilt. The unique annular disc brake system was also completely rebuilt including new wheel bearings and pads. The Carrera is completely road ready, and the current mileage of 84,037 km (52,186 miles) is believed to be true and original. The car comes with a rare and correct tool roll, books, and all records since it 2001 restoration. Here is an excellent opportunity to own a sorted and correct example of the pinnacle of 356 production. About the Carrera 2 Introduced in the autumn of 1961 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the 2-liter Carrera 2 became the first Porsche production car to have disc brakes. Numerous additional cooling vents were among the recently introduced improvements, but most attention was focused on the new 1,966cc four-cam engine. This produced 130bhp (DIN) at 6,200rpm, and while the Carrera's top speed increased only slightly to around 125mph, there was a marked improvement in acceleration despite the newcomer's greater weight, the 0-100mph time being cut from 33.5 seconds to 27.2. The Carrera 2 had been introduced part way through 356B production, and continued virtually unchanged after the 356C's arrival in 1963. The Fuhrmann-designed Carrera 4-cam engine, Type 587/1, with 130 hp, was very complex, and it took an experienced factory mechanic using brand new parts nearly 100 hours to assemble. This was an expensive venture for any car company, let alone one as small as Porsche. The 356B Carrera 2 Cabriolet cost around $8,000, almost twice the cost of a similar pushrod-engined Cabriolet, by far the most expensive road car Porsche had ever produced, and probably the most costly to build. As a comparison, a new Cadillac Eldorado convertible cost just over $6,000. Obviously, this was a hard car to sell at those numbers, which accounts for its scarcity and exclusivity today. "The clutch takes quite a bit of throttle without protest, and when one finds that it is time for 2nd gear, down comes the stick in a flick, more acceleration, and other cars pass as in reverse. Porsche : 944 Turbo S 1988 944 turbo s 67 k miles from new full history and mo 30 restoration in 2015

For all of you 1980s Porsche and 944 enthusiasts, this is the one. I'm the third owner of this beautiful 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S with 67K original miles. Black (L041) over grey beige (LQ) interior, it was sold by Rusnak Porsche in August, 1988 to its first owner in California. In 1990, that owner retired to Idaho and then in 2002 he sold the car to its second owner, also from Idaho. In March, 2015 that second owner retired to Washington State and sold it to me. No expenses were spared during its subsequent mechanical restoration and this special car is now garaged in Seattle.Modeled after the Porsche Turbo Cup race cars, only 62 black 944 Turbo S examples were delivered to North America in 1988. Featuring the M44/52 engine paired with a K-26/8 turbocharger generating 247 bhp, an AOR transmission with hardened 1st and 2nd gears and limited-slip differential, as well as larger brakes from the 928 S4, this car comes with all documentation from new including original window sticker, bill of sale, parts and service records and receipts. It was previously driven and meticulously maintained by two older gentlemen in their 70s, which shows through in its well preserved original condition today. A full description with every notable flaw is below, and pre-purchase inspections are welcome. No stories and no disappointments with this very special Porsche. The car comes with all accessories including its original tool kit, tire inflation pump, unopened gloves, plastic sheeting, sunroof cover and nylon tie-down straps, cargo cover, and even the original leather key pouch that all old Porsches came with upon delivery. Body. The car's exterior is straight and true with even panel gaps and original paint that still shines after 27 years. All panels wear their original VIN stickers. It has the usual 944 rock chips on the front bumper cover, header and headlight covers from highway driving. The previous owner used factory touch up paint to fill the chips resulting in a good match, but the paint surface is still uneven where some of the chips are present. No touch up paint was applied to the side mirrors, and they are lightly mottled. There's a 7-inch scratch starting from underneath the passenger side rear quarter panel extending to underneath the door panel (close up photo available upon request), on the rock guard. There are two light indentations in the hood where it meets the header panel, likely due to someone closing the hood with a little too much pressure. These are very difficult to see, impossible to photograph and should be easily removed with paintless dent repair, but I've chosen to leave all of the original patina in place. The body is otherwise excellent, including a perfect hatch with no delamination. There was a crack in the windshield when I acquired the car, but it's now been replaced with a new Sekurit unit from the factory (featuring the Porsche "P" parts logo). The foglight lenses are brand new and have Lamin-X protective covers. (These new lenses are only a couple of weeks old and not yet pictured. New parts are NLA from Porsche.) The Club Sport wheels still feature their original anodized finish and wear new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires in their correct, hard-to-find sizes of 225/50/R16 (front) and 245/45/R16 (rear). Interior. Truly a time machine, the interior isn't perfect, but close. The only notable flaws are a 1/2 centimeter crack emanating from a dash vent in the usual place, and a light stain on the rear trunk mat. Wear on the driver's side bolster is minimal, and the seats are otherwise immaculate (see photos for details). The interior lights, knobs and switches are all present and work, and the AC blows ice cold following an R12 recharge. The Porsche CD-1 is Porsche's first factory CD player and was a very expensive option in 1988. Rare to begin with, working units are impossible to find in 2015. This one was refurbished and now works flawlessly, aside from the occasional CD skip due to road bumps, common among first generation CD players in the 80s. It's quite an experience to hear and see this unit working in conjunction with the Blaupunkt amplifier and lighted equalizer. Steering wheel and shift boot leather are original and excellent. Beautiful carpet, and new 4-piece Lloyd "turbo" script floor mats were added in April. Every bolt, screw and screw cover are present. Just a beautiful, complete interior. Engine and drivetrain. During my ownership, it's had nearly $20K in parts and service work performed for mechanical restoration and now drives as new. We are selling this 1960 Mercedes 190sl for a Family member who just turned 89 years of age & would like to pass this wonderful car onto another, I have included (further down) a write up from the owner & the service history on the car (Documents will be supplied to buyer) This Mercedes has been in the Family since the original purchase in Germany, the purchasers pick up the car & toured Europe in it. My wife and I dove the car for 160 miles this weekend & it ran Flawlessly. The Mercedes comes with the original hard & soft top, Plus original spare tire & tool kit, The front carpets were replaced 2 years ago. The convertible boot is missing 4 snaps, The only rust we could find on the car is a little surface rust in the trunk, & a spot under the passenger floorboard (Under the heater core) all of the gauges work with the exception of the gas gauge.. sometimes it works.. sometimes not. the interior is in exceptional condition, the exterior has small paint chips as a car of this age would have & one minor ding in the truck about the size of a dime (see picts) the rest of the body is straight. Jeff Letter from the owner: THE HISTORY OF MY MERCEDES 109 SL July 21,2014 My 190 SL Roadster has had only two owners since it was first bought at the factory in Germany in 1960, and both of us are from the same family. From the beginning, it has been treated as special and given tender loving care. THE EARLY DAYS – 1960-1978 The original owner was my brother-in-law’s father, Mr. Fisher of Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Fisher retired in 1960 after a long career as an executive of the Burlington Northern Railway, and in order to celebrate his retirement Mr. and Mrs. Fisher arranged to buy the 190SL at the factory in Germany, tour Europe and then ship the car back to their home in Tacoma. For the next several years while their health permitted, the 190 was their only car and was used for basic transportation in and around Tacoma. We do have the original MB Service Book which I received from Mrs. Fisher which tends to confirm that the car was regularly serviced and maintained. Mr. Fisher always kept the car in their garage. In 1953, I spent some time working in Germany as a CPA and learned to appreciate Mercedes automobiles. After returning I began a lifetime career as a corporate and tax attorney. In 1968, when I was able to afford it, I bought a new 280SE sedan. My 280 was a great car- It was my main transportation for almost 20 years and I logged more than 350,000 miles before finally giving it to my son ..In the late 1960s and early 1970s, we had 3 or 4 family gatherings at the Fishers home, and Mr. Fisher Sr. would always take his son Jim and me out to his garage to show off his “pride and Joy”. On those occasions I told him that if he ever wanted to sell the car, I would really like to buy it and keep it in the family. In 1976 or 1977, Mr. Fisher passed away. Mrs. Fisher was not comfortable driving the car and neither of their children had an interest in it, So in 1978, my brother in law called me and, recalling our conversations, asked if I would like to buy it. I jumped at the chance. On March 13, 1978, my wife and I flew to Carmel, California (where Mrs. Fisher and her daughter and son in law then living) bought the car and drove it back to Tacoma. That drive from Carmel to Tacoma was the only road trip which I have ever taken in the car .At the time I took over the car, it had been driven 97,851 miles. THE LAST THIRTY SIX YEARS – 1978 – 2014 As soon as we arrived in Tacoma, I took the car in to Doxon Motors, then the Tacoma Mercedes dealer, and had the Doxon service department service and inspect it. Doxons reported that the car was in good overall condition. I then turned the car over to my friend, Ray Johnson for all maintenance. Ray had been the Manager of Doxon Motors Service Department before leaving to start his own shop, Ray Johnson Import Service. From 1979 until 1993, when Ray retired, he did all of the maintenance work on the car. I was careful to get it in for service on schedule. Since I have owned it, the car has never been used as basic transportation. I drove my 280SE and my wife had her own car. The only use we have made of the roadster over the years has been for pleasure trips around town on sunny days, usually with the top down. Except for a few trips to our summer home in the San Juan Islands, the car has never left the Tacoma-Seattle area. I never drove it on rainy days or even if there was a threat of rain. We have a three-car garage at our home, and the roadster has always been kept in our garage. In the off-seasons, I normally kept it covered. Since Ray Johnson’s retirement, I have used 3 or 4 other shops to service the car. These include Mercedes Auto Service in Tacoma, Doktor Tim (a mechanic specializing in German cars) and more recently, a very good mechanic who I located at Precision Tune Auto Care. Right now, the car seems to me to be in good mechanical condition. The odometer now reads just a little over 130,000 miles, which means that over the last 36 years, I have driven just less than 1000 miles per year. Even at my age, the car is still fun to drive. Like Sr,, my 190 has, over the years, been my “pride and joy” and , in a way, I hate to think of selling it. However, I recently celebrated my 87th birthday and, realistically, it is time. Hopefully we can find a new owner who will enjoy the car as much as Mr. Fisher and I have. I couldn’t agree more. In fact, that seems to be the consensus with everyone who sees this car. People are just drawn to it. As the rumor has it, even Enzo Ferrari claimed it to be one of the most beautiful designed cars he had ever seen. The first owner of this E-type was an officer in the Army who was stationed at Fort Monmouth in New Jersey. He purchased this Jaguar in England and had it shipped to the U.S. We don’t know how long he owned the car, but eventually, he sold it to a stockbroker on the NYSE. This owner sold it to a colleague of his who only had it a few years. He befriended the current owner while traveling on a passenger ferry between NJ and Wall Street. The current owner enjoyed working on these cars and agreed to help the prior owner maintain the car. In 1990, after about a year of meeting/working together on the car, the stockbroker decided to sell it to the current owner. This owner used the car as an occasional weekend driver. In 1993, he moved with his wife to Seattle, Washington and brought the car along. Besides his own tinkering, he employed the help of Woodinville Sports Cars, Inc., a reputable Jaguar specialist who was known for their quality repairs and restoration work on vintage examples. When the current owner purchased the car, the paint had already been changed from yellow to red. However, the work wasn’t great. So, in 2002, he decided to begin the restoration process. He delivered the car to a reputable painter, Steven Ward, in BC, Canada. While the car was being repainted, a well-respected engine builder, Allen Purdy, began the mechanical restoration. The original engine was tired, so it was rebuilt using an HK block instead. The original carburetors, heads, etc. were rebuilt and reused. The compression is 9.0:1. From 2005-2006, the car went back to Woodinville Sports Cars to have them do the final bits and pieces of the restoration. This work included: Advanced Distributors restored a correct XK distributor and converted it to electronic ignition New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, and hoses Repair brake and clutch pedals Replace all cooling and heating hoses Installed new correct wire wheels Major service including manifold/carb gaskets and jetting Brake system service and flush New convertible soft top Rebuild shift linkage and bushings Cooling system service Replace headlamp scoops and glass covers New alternator Besides the restoration of the body and engine, the current owner spent another $15,000+ sorting out the car and taking care of the small details to make this a wonderful driver. The compression test numbers were excellent: #1) 180 #2) 180 #3) 190 #4) 190 #5) 180 #6) 180 Recently, this owner took the car to his friend/vintage auto mechanic expert Bernie Buschen in Fall City, Washington to have the car checked over and make sure it is was ready to be used by the next owner. He performed a minor service, fixed a few small things, and checked the fluids/brakes. While preparing the car, the speedometer stopped working. So, they replaced the speedo angle drive and transmission mount. They also repaired the tachometer at the same time so it would operate smoothly. Finally, they repaired the clutch master cylinder. This Jag is an excellent driver. It is clear by the condition that it was never abused. The paint shines up very nicely and has few signs of use. There are a few areas on the driver side hood vents where the paint is lifting due to prep (see pics). The chrome and brightwork look to be original and in great condition. The glass also appears to be original. The top is brand new and looks perfect. The interior is equally nice with just mild patina from age. The leather seats are in good shape and the dash has no cracks. Most the gauges (except speedo…see above) and lights work properly. There is no horn. This XKE drives fantastic. It starts easily and with no hesitation. The choke system works perfectly. It has strong power and idles extremely smooth. There is no overheating either. The steering feels tight and the brakes are very responsive. It could easily be driven in comfort on a long tour.
