This 1937 Ford roadster is just such a beast. Built by the guys at Coast to Coast down in Miami, it's a dazzling creation with just 4875 miles on the build. If you're ready to collect trophies, this fascinating car might be the shortest path to that goal. The fiberglass body combines styling elements of the '36, '37, and '38 Fords, but it has become something unto itself in the process. Still retaining the slick Art-Deco look of the original, but now sporting a serious attitude, there's no question this is a high-end piece. Finish work is quite impressive, with no way of telling that this is a 'glass body without rapping your knuckles against it. The paint is what you'd expect from a shop famous for its outrageous finishes, with a shine that's about a mile deep and no wild graphics to distract you from the cool shape of the slick cabrio. The Sherwood Pearl paint is two-stage House of Kolor urethane, so it'll look great practically forever, and the color is a nice change from all the red and black rods you see everywhere you go. Suicide-style doors have been shaved of any external handles, and the front grille is beautifully rendered in polished stainless. From any angle, this car looks amazing. The investment continued inside, where a gorgeous tan leather interior delivers show-stopping looks. Heavily bolstered power buckets feature flame-pattern inserts for contrast, and the door panels were sculpted to match the swopping fenders and dramatic bodywork. A custom center console was fabricated and houses the controls for the Vintage Air A/C system, the shifter, and the Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. Green-faced Auto Meter gauges give the drive a complete view of what's going on under the hood, and that's a custom Budnik banjo-style steering wheel on a tilt column. The trunk is just as beautifully finished, with full carpets and "Dragonfly" embroidery, while the top is a lift-off Carson-type piece that looks awesome when it's installed. The whole point of this car is to look good, but that doesn't mean it isn't entertaining to drive. Thanks to an all-aluminum LS1 Chevy V8, it has the right sound and with all the chrome and polished aluminum in the engine bay, it'll knock 'em dead at shows. The basics include a painted intake and coil covers, a polished aluminum throttle body, and a big aluminum radiator up front. The transmission is a 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive spinning a 9-inch Ford rear, which has been the powertrain of choice for decades. This one also features a fully boxed frame, tubular A-arm front suspension, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, and power rack-and-pinion steering, so it drives like a modern piece, not a vintage relic. It's got the right hot rod bark, too, complements of a chromed and polished Flowmaster exhaust system that fits beautifully. That raked stance comes easy, thanks to a set of staggered Budnik billet wheels wearing 205/45/16 front and 285/40/18 performance radials. If you've drooled over the pro-built rods in magazines, here's your chance to put just such a machine in your garage for a fraction of the build cost. The second most remarkable thing is just how well it works. This is one nasty little Ford! The cabriolet body style offers the sleek roadster look but with better weather protection thanks to roll-up windows. The body is all steel, which means this is a rather rare car, and at a glance it looks quite stock. It hasn't been chopped or shaved or festooned with wild graphics, and aside from the bumpers, the rolling stock, and the stance, most folks won't suspect anything has changed under the hood. The black paint is in good shape, but isn't show-worthy, but that only means you'll enjoy driving it without worries. It shines up nicely, the doors fit well, and the hood snugs down with an even fit, so all the basics are quite good. Black paint doesn't hide flaws very well, either, so you can quickly see that the metal underneath is in good condition and hasn't been notably altered from Henry's original design. The bumpers are from a different make, perhaps a Hudson, a few bits of chrome have been deleted, but there's no mistaking the 1936 Ford grille. Out back there are 1939 Ford taillights with blue dots and experts will note this is a rather rare club cabriolet, so instead of a rumble seat, there's a good-sized trunk, too. The interior is neatly finished in black with plush front seats and the aforementioned back seat for kids or friends. All the upholstery is in very good condition and it includes neatly finished door panels that have vertical pleats for a period-correct look. Upgrades are extensive, ranging from the neatly installed A/C system under the dash to the handsome cream-faced gauges from Classic instruments to the tilt steering column and 4-spoke steering wheel. Real hot rod enthusiasts will be happy to see three pedals on the floor and a real 4-speed transmission handle sticking out of the floor, making this car a blast to drive. Other niceties include power windows and a beautiful black canvas convertible top that fits well and folds easily, where it stows under a matching black vinyl boot. And as I mentioned, this car also includes a nicely sized, fully-carpeted trunk. That thundering 396 cubic inch V8 makes this little Ford a legitimate threat on the street, no matter how you look at it. It's definitely crammed in there, but the effect on bystanders when you open the hood is always impressive. A few chrome dress-up pieces make it sparkle from within the black engine bay and with an Edelbrock carb and intake, it's a very strong runner. The 4-speed manual gearbox never flinches with all that torque churning through it and the soundtrack of the dual exhaust is simply spectacular. A 10-bolt rear end with highway-friendly gears makes this a comfortable highway cruiser and with all that torque on tap, a big gear really isn't needed anyway. The front clip is from a late-model Camaro with power steering and disc brakes, and the rolling stock is new, including the wheels, hubcaps, and staggered 15-inch whitewall radial tires. '36 Fords are always popular, and the combination of a quality build, rare cabriolet body style, and big power makes this a very desirable rod indeed. Look no further than this sharp 1935 Chevy cabriolet, which has similar styling to the more common '34 Ford but offers a bowtie twist and extensive recent service so it's ready to cruise this summer. The body is by Downs Fiberglass and accurately captures the unique Chevy shape, which is streamlined like many mid-30s cars but still has upright classic design cues. Flowing fenders, a V-shaped grille, and a curvaceous deck lid give it a sleek look a look emphasized by the chopped windshield and relative lack of ornamentation. The fiberglass is nicely finished and still looks great even though it was finished in 2005. Bright red paint stands out and doesn't need graphics or pinstripes to look fantastic. The chunky body looks more muscular than your run-of-the-mill Ford cabriolet. The wide grille has a shiny insert flanked by a pair of King-Bee-style headlamps, but any evidence of bumpers or other extraneous trim has been neatly exorcised from the body. Out back, LED taillights are neatly integrated into the tail pan, along with a recessed license plate frame, and please take a moment to note how neatly the body molding wraps around the lower valence and into the rear fenders, a very trick detail. Despite the vintage look, the driver's compartment is state-of-the-art in street rods, with a fully custom ultra-leather interior, bucket seats, and all the creature comforts. Low-back buckets are comfortable and stylish, and thanks to the wide doors that open almost 90-degrees to the body, climbing in is easy, even with the top in place. Custom sisal carpets and floor mats, beautifully sculpted door panels, and a sleek digital dash are all evidence that price was no object during the build. A polished tilt steering column is topped by a custom billet steering wheel and there are discreet vents for the Vintage Air HVAC system. Auxiliary controls like the ignition switch, power windows, and light controls are all stashed under the dash where they're out of sight, as is the AM/FM/CD stereo system that's powerful enough to be heard at speed. The removable top is fully finished inside and out and the surprisingly spacious trunk will carry all your gear without complaint. I guess a small block Chevy in a Chevy rod shouldn't be ground-breaking, and the torquey L98 certainly looks at home under the pointed hood. Lots of chrome sets it apart and makes it look as good under the skin as it does outside and you'll note that the block itself has been color-matched to the bodywork. There's a big aluminum radiator up front and a billet accessory drive that tucks tight to the block for decent service access. Custom headers feed a fabricated dual exhaust system that wraps around the TCI frame. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch Ford round out the driveline, and there are freshly rebuilt coil-over shocks at all four corners. Big-n-little Foose billet wheels give it a wicked rake and wear 225/40/18 front and 275/45/20 Nitto radials. With receipts for over $7000 worth of A/C and suspension work in November, this rod is road-ready and can certainly collect a few more trophies along the way. Welcome to carsanddogs1970, 2 guys on a mission to locate and procure valuable automobiles and provide good service to enthusiastic carbuffs. We have had great fun with both happy and tough customers alike. Our intention is to supply good cars for restoration and all we ask for is your ernest questions and 100% follow thru. Now about this Mga: Several years ago I responded to an advert about a sunbeam alpine for a good price. I traveled to the location and found an amazing older gent with a yard full of precious machinery. Not only this Mga, but an assortment of motorbikes, 5 sailboats, an ultralight airplane, ford trucks, an airstream trailer and so on. The man had many problems with the local bureaucracy for hoarding. The machinery and cars were all neatly stored, covered and out of sight. One grumpy neighbor had "ratted him out" and so with great disdain he sold me the sunbeam. I offered to buy any of the other great cars but he was not interested in the slightest, and sold me his worst car. Fast forward 5 years and my partner,Chatman, had found a rough tr6 for a great price and urged me to come along. Having had many tr6's in the past I wasn't that fired up about it, but went along begrudgingly. As we closed in on the location I began to suspect we were headed back to the old gents residence. My suspicions were confirmed! We indeed ended up at Edwards house and bought not only the tr6, but 5 other vehicles that will be available as they are cleaned up and made presentable. We have had a dozen Mg's and such at this point. They are great fun when sorted and running well, which isn't the easiest feat. This Mga runs ok enough to load on a truck. It will need carb work and ignition work I suspect. The engine runs well at times and doesn't smoke, rattle, knock, or make any unsettling noises. The other times it intermittently sputters and needs feathering of the throttle to keep it lively & well. The clutch feels very strong, although the release point is near the top. It grabs enough to make the car leap forward from a stop. Brakes will hold on an incline and bring the car to a halt. I would go over the brakes to be confident at highway speed. The body is not rusty. There is no thru rust anywhere on the rockers, rear quarters, doors, lower front fenders or trunk. This car was sheltered and covered for many years. I have a ton of registration cards showing ownership to have spanned decades under Mr. Swan. His cars were his friends and he always kept them wrapped up tight. It has the best body of any of the british cars I have owned and could go straight to paint without tedious rust repair. There is one dent on the lower front valance that will need attention. The body has no other dents and appears to be free of filler. The interior will need quite a bit of attention. It is complete, but tired. The operating systems will need careful attention and re-assembly. The panel that covers the rear deck is missing and will need to be replaced. The light system is working but will need further sorting to be fully operable. If you've made it this far, I won't bore you with anymore words of my own. Please feel free to make an offer and all well intentioned offers will be considered. This is an "AS IS" sale with no refunds full or partial. Please ask any questions prior to bidding and this car is titled, in my name and currently registered. world wide shipping to your doorstep, this is a solid car! harris.

How about this butch-looking 1934 cabriolet, which has the same awesome open-air vibe as the roadster, but with the protection of a folding top, roll-up windows, and windshield wipers that actually work. There's nothing subtle about this slick satin black rod, but that's entirely the point. Sure, the body is fiberglass, but the look is timeless, and everywhere you go, folks recognize the appeal of the 1934 Ford. From the pointed radiator shell and sweeping fenders to the raked-back windshield and smoothly tapered rear deck, there's something here that will appeal to everyone, and the fact that it's totally functional as a real car is something that most rods attempt, but not all achieve. Workmanship is quite good, and with fiberglass, it's easy to get great gaps and a solid feel, and with that satin black paint job, the shape simply speaks for itself. It features stock-style suicide doors with chrome handles, a custom grille insert in the pointed grille shell, and 1939 Ford taillights that have been smoothly integrated into the rear fenders. Red pinstripes add a classic old-school vibe with details on the hood louvers and in back, and they're matched by the red stripe in the stock-style chrome bumpers. Red cloth upholstery ties in with the bodywork, and offers more comfort in an open car than sticky vinyl or sweaty leather might. The stitching has a traditional look with pleats on the seats and simple door panels with billet hardware, and twin buckets make it easy for everyone to get comfortable. Old-school gauges from Ford Motorsport highlight the smooth dash, which roughly approximates the shape of the original 1934 design. With a tilt column and wood-rimmed wheel, it has a great look that's a bit upscale, which is right where the cabriolet was positioned when it was new. Lokar supplied the shifter, and if you want entertainment, it's all controlled by you right foot. Weather protection is provided by a snug-fitting white top with a decent-sized rear window (no blind spots!) and the trunk is neatly finished and perfect for, say, the Hot Rod Power Tour. But this rod is no poser. The engine is a freshly built 302-inch V8 bored .030 oversize fitted with all kinds of upgrades. A Cobra dress-up kit should look familiar to anyone who has ever driven a hi-po Ford before and it's entirely appropriate here. Ford Blue on the block looks great against the satin black bodywork and the overall look is serious and functional rather than over-done. Block-hugging headers dump into a custom-built dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers, so this sucker really cackles. The suspension is a Mustang II setup in front with power rack-and-pinion steering and disc brakes, while an 8.8-inch out back hangs on a Mustang trailing arm setup. There's also a 3-speed automatic transmission in the middle. It nails the perfect stance with painted steel wheels wearing skinny 205/70/14 front and fat 255/70/15 rear whitewall radials. Go ahead and enjoy the open road, this '34 Ford has you covered; it's ready to rock or to be taken to the next level. Classic Car Marketing, Inc. Southern Californias premier marketing company is pleased to introduce this new listing offered for sale by one of our clients. This 1934 Ford full fender Roadster Cabriolet is just as much the cool hot rod today as it was the cats pajamas yesterday. Popular with cops and crooks alike, the 1934 Ford Deluxe Roadster holds a special place in automotive history. Particularly popular because of its power, police liked the car for its ability to chase down criminals, and criminals liked stealing the car so they could run from the cops. For those enjoying the car for much more legal pursuits, the rumble seat in the back made the car quite desirable for those Sunday afternoon drives in the country; at least for those who could afford one. Easily-recognizable for its medieval shield-shaped front grille, round headlights mounted to the side of the grille, and sweeping wide fenders and running boards, the 1934 Ford Deluxe was popular even in the midst of the depression and would continue to be popular with custom car crafters for years to come. Many iconic cars from history are duplicated, such as this Wiscot Bodied Roadster with its black mirror finish and its deep red leather interior. Powered by a Ford 302, backed by an automatic transmission, a Jag rear-end, rumble seat and folding top, this car is still the cats pajamas even today. Offered at $45,000 OBO.For more information please visit our website at www.classiccarmarketing.net or call us at 619-972-7073. Please mention the vehicle you are inquiring about so we can respond promptly. Inspections are encouraged before any purchase, of any vehicle, anywhere. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
