Upon registering the vehicle, it was inspected by the DMV (in addition to an inspection I had paid for myself) and found to be in fully working order, needing no repairs and having had no parts replaced. As previously stated, the car is in near new condition. The "salvage" title is merely an insurance formality practiced by GM. This 1968 caprice wagon has served me well for the last 15 years, but I have too many projects and now it’s time for it to find a new home. With 9 seats, it can cart around your family with ease and style. This is an original AC car. I have all the stock AC parts, including the heater box and cage. The previous owner removed it. I also have all the dash trim as well. The rear handles were shaved by the previous owner to give it the Nomad look. The engine is a .30 over 350, with a balanced and blue printed bottom end. Cam is a comp extreme energy with .477/.480 lift and 224/230 duration. Heads are GM Vortec, with mild porting, and valve job. Intake is an Edelbrock RPM, topped off with a Holley Double Pumper. Distributor is GM HEI. This motor dyno’d at 396HP and 418ft/lbs. It exhales through hooker long tube headers, and a dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. It fires right up and has a very nice lopey idle to it, with great off idle and part throttle drivability. Even without a fan shroud, this motor will idle at 190 all day long in 90 degree weather. Trans is a TH400 built by HP Transmissions, rated up to 550HP. This trans is extremely durable. While cruising under light loads, it shifts smoothly. If you really get on it, or shift it manually, the trans and motor combo will still chirp the tires going into second gear. This combo has never let me down. The rear end was built 8K miles ago with new gears, seals, and gaskets. It is a 3.73:1 rear axle ratio. This gear set up is a big improvement over the stock 3.08’s with just the right amount of grunt off the line and high way cruising RPM. There is no driveline vibration, clunks, or howling with this set up. I chose to leave it a non-posi rear end for better control in the rain. This is more of a family cruiser rather than a race car. It is a disc brake car, and uses 69 Impala disc brake parts, not an aftermarket kit. It has a dual reservoir master, as well as power brakes and steering. The front suspension needs new tie rod ends and ball joints, as you can feel a slight vibration at highway speed, but it is totally drivable. It also has 2 new front tires with less than 500 miles on them. The front passenger fender is in primer due to a hit and run. It was backed into, so the dent was pulled out and primed. It has the normal rust spots for a GM B-body, which you can see in the pictures. The interior is in OK condition. The driver seat is the only one ripped. It has seat belts throughout, so you can feel safe taking your family out in it the day you get it. Carpet is faded but intact. Wheels are Daisy 5 spokes, with a cast center and a brushed rim. It has a clean title in my name. This is a great foundation for a family cruiser, and it has been a fantastic car for many years for me. I hate to see it go, but it’s time to thin the heard. $500 deposit due at the close of the auction. Payment is due in full 3 days after the bidding closes. I prefer Electronic Transfer. 1977 Buick LeSabre 4 door sedan in beautiful condition. Runs and drives perfectly. Seafoam green inside and out. I believe it is all original except for a new radiator with hoses, and a new muffler (replaced in December 2014). The original owner was meticulous. I have all the papers from the original sale: receipts, list of options and accessories purchased at time of sale, owners manual, Buick catalog 1977, even the 1977 Buick exterior colors card, and the newspaper clipping of the original car ad. Among the upgrades purchased: Engine- V8 350 CU IN with 2 barrel carb Air conditioner with manual controls (works well) Soft Ray tinted glass Cruise Master Tilt steering column Rear speaker, single Exterior molding package Electric clock (not working) Items that were standard with the car: Automatic transmission Power brakes Power steering Notch-back Seat The interior is in excellent condition. The seats and dash are perfect. There are tiny nicks in the windshield, probably from rocks hitting it, but none of them is big enough to require repair. Also, there are little nicks in the paint, mostly on the front end but some little ones near the driver's door handle too. There is a small piece missing from the grill, which can be seen in the photos. There is some corrosion on the tailpipe, but it was deemed too small to need repair by the mechanic.
