Call or text "87060" to 631-318-2031 for more information MG C Roadster - Only 1,000 Miles on Rebuilt Motor Vehicle Overview: Stock: GCN1U/6620G VIN: GCN1U6620G Year: 1969 Exterior Color: Red Make: MG Interior Color: Black Model: C Mileage: 47487 Engine: 2,912cc 6 cyl Transmission: Manual Vehicle Description: 1969 MG C ROADSTER --Red with Black leatherette interior and Black Convertible Top. 47,000 miles. 2,912cc incline 6 cylinder, 4-speed manual transmission with Overdrive. 1,000 miles on rebuilt engine. The MG C was a 2912 cc, straight 6-cylinder version of the MGB sold from 1967 and produced until August 1969. In the twin SU carbureted form used in the MGC the engine produced 145 bhp at 5250 rpm. The body shell needed considerable revision around the engine bay and to the floor pan, but externally the only differences were a distinctive bonnet bulge to accommodate the relocated radiator and a teardrop for carb clearance. It had different brakes from the MGB, 15 inch wheels, a lower geared rack and pinion and special torsion bar suspension and telescopic dampers. Like the MGB, it was available as a coupé (GT) and roadster. An overdrive gearbox or three-speed automatic gearbox were available as options. The car was capable of 120 mph and a 0–60 mph time of 10.0 seconds. The MGC was cancelled in 1969 after less than two years of production, today the car is considered very collectible. This MGC Roadster having been in the same owner ship for over 25 years was partially restored around 2001. The work included any necessary bodywork, fresh paint, fresh suspension, new interior and some minor engine refreshing. The work was performed by qualified restoration and mechanical facilities fluent in vintage automobile restoration. The cars condition is excellent and having been completed in 2001, the C’s condition is a testament to the workmanship. Sold in 2012 to is most recent owner, it was decided that the MGC restore the C’s mechanicals. The engine was pulled and shipped to Alderman Automotive in New Castle, Delaware where the engine and carburetors were rebuilt in total. While the engine was out, the braking system was overhauled with new dual remote master cylinder, vacuum booster and stainless lines. The clutch and throw out bearing was replaced and transmission and overdrive refreshed at this time. Having been driven locally during the summer season, this MGC has been traded toward another automobile from our inventory. It represents great value and fun for the money and is an excellent useable example of a true British Sports car. > 1969 MGC Roadster!!! Here is a beautiful 1969 MGC GT that has had tens of thousands of dollars poured into it and it truly shows. This car is a great restored example of the relatively rare MGC Roadster. This car is 100% rust free car that was originally sold new in California!!! T The cars pans are incredibly rust free and the car looks to be accident free as well. This car has had a very nice restoration and has been driven and enjoyed, this is a GREAT driving car. This car according to the previous owners has only traveled 53k miles since new! The car was throughly gone throught featuring a bare metal paint job, new interior, rebuilt carbs, brakes, steering wheel, hydrolics etc... This car is in excellent running condition and is 100% turn key ready. The engine fires right up and the car has PLENTY of power coming from the large Austin 2912cc straight 6. This is a very smooth running engine with very crisp throttle response. The cars transmission shifts beautifully and the car is a blast to drive. The steering is nice and tight and the cars power brakes work very well. The body on this car is absolutely laser straight and the doors line up great. The cars underside is rust free, original and in excellent condition. One look under the hood, and you can see that this car has been lovingly cared for and given lots attention to detail. These cars are great cars to drive and enjoy either daily or just for fun on the weekends. They are beautiful to look at, rare to see (about 4400 built world wide over 3 years), easy and even fun to maintain due to there simplicity. This is a turn key MGC that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a beautiful car that will surely make its new owner very happy! Why these cars are not as valuable or more valuable than a Austin Healey 3000 is beyond me. These cars have the same great engine, but C is built on a unibody which just rides and handles worlds better that a Healey 3000. The two don't even compare. There is so much more room, a significantly better ride and far fewer produced. One day the market will wake up to these great cars. As a side note, I have been looking for an MGC roadster for 10 years but struggled to find one that passed the muster. I will regret selling this truly great car! This is a buy it now or best offer listing. This car is availble for purchase at anytime. There is no advantage to waiting for the end of the listing to purchase the car. In fact, I would prefer a quick sale at a lower price than waiting for more money at the end of the listing. Please feel free to call and ask questions and make an offer! Call Justin at 602-339-2416 Click to enlarge Exterior: This beautiful MGC Roadster was recently the subject of a bare metal restoration and as you can see from the photos, it looks great. The body on the car is laser straight. All of the doors line up beautifully. The chrome bumpers on the car are like new and in excellent condition. Everything on the car lines up nicely and even the grill fits excellent. All of the lights and lenses on the car are in excellent condition as well. This car is 100% rust free and is free of floor patches etc... The car also appears to be accident free as well. The car is sitting on a beautiful new set of 15 inch chrome wheels and really complete the look of this beautiful british sports car. The car is absolutely stunning in its rare shade of blue and the car only suffers from minor blemishes. Much of the chrome is original and showing very well for its age. The bumpers are in beautiful condition and if you look at the rear bumper you will see an emblem from when it was in california! What a great little touch! The doors open and shut beautifully on the car as do the hood and trunk. The whole car just screams quality with the high level of detailing. The previous owner truly did a great job with this car. The beautiful grey top is in like new condition showing only very minor wear and absolutely no rips or tears. The top frame was even restored and is finished beautifully and opperates perfectly! Overall the exterior of the car is in excellent conditon! Click to enlarge Interior: The interior of this MGC is in excellent condition and virtually like new! The interior was recently reupholstered featuring gray seats and looks great. The dash is very simple and straight forward with beautiful chrome lined Smiths gauges. All of the gauges are in excellent condition and are free from wondering and excessive bouncing. The area behind the seats was also carpeted making for a very nicely upholstered trunk compartment and also contains a removable speaker box. The modern stereo is nice because unlike most classic, you actually want to drive this car. The seats are so comfortable, the ride is very nice, the engine is powerful and sounds great, this is just a car that you look forward to driving! The steering wheel is a gorgeous motolita steering wheel which feels excellent in your hands and the factory steering wheel is included as well. All of the gauges and lights work. The dash is free of cracks etc... The trunk of the car has been carpeted and the car even comes with a 5th chrome wire wheel with matching michelin tire and factory jack!!! Overall, I would say that the interior is in excellent shape!!! Click to enlarge Engine: The 2912cc straight 6 engine starts up and runs like a top!!! One twist of the key is all it takes to start this car. The carbs have been rebuilt and tuned to perfection!!! The engine fires right up and blowns no smoke on start up or while driving. The car has great compression across all cylinders. This is by far the best sounding model that ever came off the Abingdon production line. The straight six really gives the MG the power and the sound on par with the other great sports cars of the time. The engine also has very strong oil pressure. The engine is fed by two SU carbs and really moves the car along quite well. This MGC runs nice and cool even in Arizonas sweltering heat. The engine bay is virtually clean enough to eat off of. The car was the subject of a bare metal engine out paint job and it was done by true professionals. The results are a show worthy engine bay. The level of detail in the engine bay speaks volumes to the quality of the car. The transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease and the clutch operates smoothingly as well!!! The shift linkage really has a postive feel to the gear change. The car rides, steers and stops GREAT! The car tracks beautifully down the road and the disc brakes are strong and stop this car with ease. Both the clutch and master cylinders were rebuilt at the time of restoration giving both great braking feel and clutch feel. The water pump and radiator were replaced as well. The car rides on a great looking set of original chrome wire wheels. This really is a great driving MGC that can be driven daily or just for fun on the weekends. The car is great fun to drive. Everything works, from the windshield wipers and all of the lights. These are great cars because they are very reliable and any part you might need is readily available and very inexpensive. This car however, shouldn't need anything for sometime! This car is absoultely turn key ready to enjoy! I can not express enough how nicely this car drives down the road and how much fun it is to drive! You will not be dissappointed! Click to enlarge This is a great looking 1969 MGC and it is absolutely beautiful and turn key. This beautiful British Sports car can be purchased for thousands of dollars less than what it took to build. These are truly rare british sports cars and are great fun to drive and will compliment anyones garage. All Reasonable Offers Considered I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world and international buyers are welcome to enjoy this beautiful MGC . If you are the high bidder, and for whatever reason do not get the car, you forfeit your $200 deposit. I don't know the previous history on this car, just what I know personally. I go through the car and do a check list of what is working or not, and any defects. I also drive the car for a few days to see how she "feels". Car was bought from a local gentleman and Title is in his name. IF OUT OF STATE: Check with your local DMV (before bidding) if this is OK. If your state requires a title in the seller's name (me), then please don't bid. (unless of course you have someone here in CA to title it for you). Please consider this before bidding, it is YOUR responsibility to check. Please bid responsibly, this is a binding contract. By placing a bid or clicking on the Buy-it-now option, you are agreeing to all terms. I reserve the right to cancel bids and end the auction early. If you need more pics, please let me know which area. Buyer is responsible for the shipping and transporting of car. CHECK YOUR LOCAL YELLOW PAGES OR ONLINE FOR CAR SHIPPERS OR AUTO TRANSPORTERS FOR THEIR PRICING FROM ZIP 91606. This car is totally drivable, but you assume full responsibility if you want to drive her a long distance. I am selling it as is. These cars are bought at a local benefit sale where the proceeds go to good causes. Most cars come from affluent communities where the owner's buy a new vehicle and donate there "old" one for a tax write off. I've been buying cars at charity events for years and everyone makes out. I try to be as honest as possible about these cars and list what I know, but I'm not a mechanic or body repair person. I have done this for years and everyone has been happy with the cars. I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK, mostly from cars on ebay. If you really need to call me, go ahead, but I've described it as best as I can: 818-272-1112 God bless and hope you love your car purchase. **NOTE** If you have "0" Feedback, please don't bid, I've had too many flakes in the past.

Bavarian Motors 713-320-3059 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! White / Red999,999 Miles / VIN: GHNL2104066 Contact Mark Counts at Bavarian Motors at 713-320-3059 8561 Rayson Road, Ste. C Houston, TX 77380 View This Seller's Other Auctions 1962 MG MGA Mark II - Excellent Mark II! White Exterior / Red Interior VIN: GHNL2104066 2 Doors, Rear Wheel Drive, Convertible, 4 Cylinders, Manual Inventory ID: 104066 Vehicle Description In 1955, MG made the momentous decision to make a complete departure from its pre-WW II roots and introduced the "first of a new line" of cars - the MGA. First introduced at the Frankfort Motor Show, the MGA represented a radical departure from the "squared curvaceousness" of the MG T-Series. The MGA began when an MG designer, Syd Enever, penned a sleek designed for George Phillips LeMans race car. This car placed Enevers body panels on a TD frame and created an MG like no one had ever seen before. Owing to the pure beauty of Enevers work, a prototpye was built and presented to British Motor Company ("BMC") chairman, Leonard Lord. Initially, Lord rejected the idea of building the MGA because he had just signed a deal for Austin with Donald Healey (and unknowingly created what was to become the Austin Healey 3000). However, owing to falling MG sales, Lord subsequently changed his mind and ordered the MGA into production. As with all prior MG models, MG adopted a body on frame design which (essentially) took an MG Magnette chassis and bolted the (wooden) floorboards to its bottom. MG then fitted a BMC B-Series engine into the Magnettes chassis and connected it to a traditional 4 speed, non-synchromesh 1st gear transmission. The initial engine placed in the MGA was a 1489 cc engine producing between 68 and 72 horsepower. This engine (termed the "1500"), was remarkably long-lived and extremely durable. The engine gave the car a top speed of approximately 98 miles per hour and allowed the car to go from 0 to 60 in roughly 16 seconds. The original MGA came equipped with drum brakes at all corners. The car was sold with standard steel wheels but wire wheels were an available option. The convertible version of the MGA could be purchased with an optional hard top. Convertibles did not have roll-up windows and were instead equipped with highly permeable side curtains. Convertible MGAs did not come equipped with door handles. Rather, "pull strings" were attached inside the cars doors. The car - in prototypical British roadster fashion - were sparsely equipped with lights, wipers, a horn, a radio and a heater. In 1961, after "experimenting" with a Twin Cam variant and then replacing it with a 1588 cc engine, MG produced a "Mark II" version of the MGA. The "Mark II was equipped with a 1622 cc engine which produced roughly 90 horsepower. It was capable of propelling the car to 105 miles per hour and could go 0- to 60 in roughly 13 seconds. This engine greatly improved the MGAs performance. In addition, the Mark II added disc brakes. Placing aside the increased displacement and the brake modification, the most salient distinctions between the Mark I and the Mark II concerned the front grill and the brake lights. The front grill was redesigned to be "offset inwards" from the body panels while the rear taillights were rotated horizontally. In addition, the "MGA badge" on the front fenders was modified to read "Mark II." In sum total, these distinctions are somewhat minor. MGAs were (and are) widely popular. In fact, of the 101,000 MGAs produced, over 95% were exported out of England. The cars popularity can be traced to the following factors: (1) Great looks; (2) Good performance; (3) Mechanical reliability; and (4) Easy maintenance. At one point the MGA was so popular that it was actually raced in the NASCAR Grand National Series. MGAs have made numerous appearances in movies like Blue Hawaii, Animal House, Cool Runnings, and Guess Whos Coming to Dinner. Recently, the MGA made a conspicuous appearance in the Showtime series Masters of Sex. 1962 was the final year of MGA production. It was replaced by the much lower valued MGB, a car which continues to be undervalued by the marketplace. After I obtained this car, I thoroughly inspected it and found it to be in very good overall shape mechanically. The paint was new and the tires were good. The chrome was in acceptable condition and the mechanicals were solid. Further, I did not find any rust on the car or the chassis. However, in an effort to stop the incessant oil leaks that plague all MGAs, I replaced the rear pinon seal, cleaned the case ventilation system and tightened all applicable bolts. After that, I replaced the seat covers with a luxurious red vinyl and contrasting black piping. I also had the dash and cockpit pads recovered. I then sourced a new vinyl top but, given the existing soft top and the hard top, I did not install it. In all actuality, it is not absolutely necessary but it is included with the sale nevertheless. Finally, I thoroughly cleaned the car and its undercarriage. As it sits, the car does everything you would want an MGA to do - stops, starts, runs, drives, shifts - and only leaks a minimal amount of oil. Further, it is rust free, is stunningly beautiful and is in virtually perfect running order. If you are interested in seeing this car in operation then please see my YouTube channel - theBavarianMotors - for a short video. In regard to value, as of August 2015, the Hagertys website values a 1962 MGA Mark II Roadster in Condition 1 at $30,000, and a Condition 2 car at $20,600. Owing to the mechanical integrity of this car, its rust free chassis, the cosmetic enhancements I have made and its hardtop I believe that this car is closer to a number 1 car than a number 2 car and have priced it accordingly. Obviously, I am not in the car business to give cars away (and I will not give this one away) but I am open to negotiate on price. If you are interested in adding a rock solid MGA to your collection then please feel free to contact Mark Counts at 713-320-3059. Excellent paint! Rust free! Great mechanicals! New tires! Fast, sexy, reliable! Wonderful car! Additional Photos Finance Please ensure that you have obtained financing prior to bidding on one of our cars. Warranty Unless expressly stated otherwise, our cars are sold "As Is" and without warranty. However, some of our cars come with the full manufacturers warranty and some are eligible for extended warranties. Please discuss the potential purchase of an extended warranty with your sales representative. Shipping Unless stated otherwise in the vehicles listing, shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. There are many reputable transporters across the country and the Buyer is required to contract directly with one of them. If required, we can locate a shipper for the Buyer but will not assume responsibility for the vehicle once it is consigned to a shipper. Terms and Conditions Terms and Conditions All vehicles I sell have clean and clear titles. I do NOT sell salvage vehicles or vehicles with reconditioned titles. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and there are no representations or warranties except those contained in the written sales contract or bill of sale. The winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours by phone to start the transaction. The winning bidder must respond within 2 days after the auction with a $500 deposit required via wire transfer, Visa/MC, or certified funds(cashiers check) to start the transaction. It is understood that the vehicle is sold on an "As Is" basis. Buyer are free to purchase with or without an inspection. I strongly encourage pre-purchase inspections. These inspections are relatively cheap and help ensure that the Buyer is completely satisfied with their purchase. All sales are subject to a state inspection fee and a Vehicle Inventory Tax imposed on the dealership by State law. All sales are subject to a $199 dealer service fee and a $99 document fee. Texas residents must pay applicable sales tax and a registration fee. Out-of-state customers may pay tax and register the vehicle in their own applicable state. Upon request, we may be able to complete the buyers home state registration. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I will arrange for shipping, if requested. Also, transportation to and from the airport and our location is buyers responsibility. I make every attempt to deliver vehicles to clients with two keys, key fobs, manuals, booklets, NAV CDs, wheel locks, tool kits, etc..., however, from time-to-time, a vehicle may be missing one or more of these items and I cannot guarantee that they will be included in the vehicle at the time of sale. Please call for the exact accessories included for the vehicle. For Canadian car buyers: If the title is to be released at the time of delivery (which is much mandatory to move the vehicle through customs), a wire transfer is the fastest way to complete the sale. If the payment is not by bank wire transfer, i.e., certified bank check or approved loan check, the title will only be released when all funds have cleared. Please keep in mind that the funds verification process can take up to 15 days. We will assist you with the documentation needed to clear Canadian customs, but knowing exactly which documents are required by your home province are the buyers responsibility. Requirements for Canada can be found at www.riv.ca under "Registration of import vehicles, Canada". Notice to All Bidders Please remember your eBay obligations. When you bid, you are entering into a legal and binding contract. Do not bid if you do not intend to buy this vehicle! All bidders must have pre-approved loans or other financing. The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours by phone to complete the sale and to receive a purchase order via fax. Major Credit Cards are accepted. Please call for limits and details (credit card charges may incur a service fee). Payments are accepted through paypal.com (Deposit only-$1,000 max.). Please call for limits. I do not accept Escrow or E-Loan. Please call for exceptions prior to bidding. Please remember that you have the option to call for the reserve price direct at 713-320-3059. I appreciate your interest in this auction and look forward to seeing your bid. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

Wheelbase: 94 Following World War II, the first British sports car to capture American hearts was the MG TC. Its success inspired the MG TD, which appeared in 1949 and was built specifically for the U.S. market, with improved handling characteristics and left-hand-drive. The TF, unveiled in late 1953, was criticized by MG purists for its repositioned headlamps, new bonnet design, sloping hood line and raked radiator. However, many more welcomed the new TF, which sold nearly 10,000 units during its two-year production run. When introduced, the MG TF was powered by the same XPAG 1,250 cc engine that had driven the TD. While the engines output increased by a mere three horsepower, the new TF was nearly five seconds quicker in the zero to 60 mile per hour dash than the previous model. Despite its slightly dated design, the American press welcomed the MG TF. In its December 1954 edition, Road & Track stated, After last year’s test we asked if the TF was really that good. It is, and more. Even though the MG is the lowest priced sports car on the market, it is the accepted standard of comparison. Today, the MG TF has proven to be the most desirable of the T-Series carson the market, and it is considered by many enthusiasts to be one of the most attractive MGs ever made. The 1954 MG TF Roadster presented here is a beautifully fully restored example, which displays a smooth and glossy yellow finish. Toneau cover, leather covered steering wheel, really complement the flowing lines of this handsome automobile. As well, the TF rides on a set of chromed wire wheels with chrome hubcaps, and new tires. The inviting cockpit is trimmed in black leather upholstery with black carpeting, and features a beautifully refinished dash and steering wheel. Under the bonnet, the four-cylinder XPAG engine is well-detailed and period-correct in presentation, with the exception of a modern maintenance-free battery. This handsome 1954 MG TF Roadster truly embodies the essence of MG. It will certainly provide its next enthusiastic owner with an enjoyable break from the mundane with a solid dose of pure, elemental motoring enjoyment If you have any question please feel free to email or call us at 1-619-515-2220, David can be reached at 1-619-451-2130 anytime day or night. It will certainly provide its next enthusiastic owner with an enjoyable break from the mundane with a solid dose of pure, elemental motoring enjoyment If you have any question please feel free to email or call us at 1-619-515-2220, David can be reached at 1-619-451-2130 anytime day or night. farm fresh 1957 mg mga roadster the engine , body and transmission are numbers matching but the car is in rough rough shape it is basically a parts car PLEASE READ WHOLE POST I am relisting this due to buyer not contacting me back I will try to paint a perfect picture of what you are looking at but feel free to email or call me with questions , the mga was just taken out of a barn on the east end of long island when I purchased the mga I was in pieces and for all intensive purposes it is still in pieces , the front end of the car was still together but the rear clip was completely off the frame what you are looking at in the pictures is the entire car put together temporarily , the rear clip is just laying on the frame and the fenders are being held on with one hanger bolt , when the car is purchased all the parts you are looking at basically will lift off the rear of the car ,I temporarily put the parts on so everyone can see that I have basically the whole car here , now the good most parts are intact and seam to be in pretty good condition for a old car the engine turns over the rear end spins freely the transmission seams to go through the gears , the shocks seem to work the dash is pretty solid tires and wheels look good , the front clip of car looks great and I think I have about 90% of the car , now the bad the car has been sitting for 30 plus years and needs a complete restoration the floors are gone and the frame rails under the rocker panels have a lot of rust and rot . I am not a mechanic nor a body man I just like to tinker with old cars and I happen to be lucky enough to stumble on to this gem , the vin# is bp15gb 19711 I think from research it is a 1957 that is supposed to be white and built for export to the states , the car will need to be towed and I will not ship it , I also will not give the car away I think there are to many valuable rare parts to let it go for the wrong number so please do not low ball me , my c-e-ll # is 63one --96five-six015 text me a question , I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability and I will be selling it locally so I reserve the right to end listing at any point car is being sold as is with a bill of sale thanks fro looking and good luck

1955 MG TF-1500 I think the MG TF 1500 is the most beautiful MG ever made and I sincerely believe my "TF-1500" is the best of the best and most beautiful of them all! If you don't think so, please take another look at the photographs. I see that other cars (dealers?) are much more expensive than mine (see price comps below) but I'll put my car next to theirs any day of the week. Although not in her original color, in her MG Red paintwork she looks absolutely fabulous. This paintwork must have involved taking the "Body Off" completely as both under the Car, under the Dashboard and under the Hood are the same MG red. My Car also has "NUMBERS MATCHING" as confirmed by British Motor Industries Heritage Trust Certificate number 2014/1581 (please see photo). The MG TF’s were manufactured between July 13th, 1954 and April 4th, 1955 with Body Numbers TF-6501 – TF-10100, a 14 month production run of 3,600 cars. It’s pretty obvious when looking at my Car, that a Very Extensive Restoration has been carried out as evidenced by the Car's really good condition and which the photos ably confirm. The indicated mileage is 1,927 which I believe to be the mileage covered since the restoration. While I have no real reason to disbelieve it, I can't substantiate it either. The car’s original color was Almond Green with a Green Interior. A previous owner had the sense to change it to MG Red and the paintwork is in exceptional condition save for the very few stone chips, etc., (there are no dents) that unavoidably come with use. The interior was also changed to Factory Matching, Red Leather with White Piping which also shows beautifully and is also in excellent condition. The TF came into being when sales of the TD slumped with the introduction of the faster, more modern-looking and similarly priced Triumph TR2. Morris Garages, makers of MG cars, merged with the Nuffield Organization to form the British Motor Corporation (B.M.C.). Considerable funding had just gone into the newly introduced Austin-Healey and, although designs for the MG-A existed, there was a shortage of liquid capital with which to put it into production. As a cost-efficient alternative, in 1953, the TF was introduced. Among the many changes; it had a sleeker Nose and a more graceful Tail. The Radiator was sloped back and the Hood-line inclined downwards to meet it. The Headlights were partially faired-in and the front Fender profile was modified. At the rear, the exposed Fuel Tank and Spare Wheel Carrier were made more rakish with the rear Fenders sporting a shapelier flare to match. Overall, the TF was 3.5 inches longer, an inch wider and half an inch lower. Individual, adjustable Seats replaced the previous Bench Seat and there was a new, centrally located Instrument Panel featuring the now famous and handsome, MG Octagonal Gauges. It was initially well received but times had moved on. Production ceased in mid 1955 with B.M.C. needing to devote its time and energy to the initial production of the MG-A. Only 3,400 TF-1500's were manufactured with the majority coming to America, to Canada and into Europe. Now about my Car:- Per the B.M.I.H.T. certificate, she was built between the 8th and the 12th of October, 1954. She had then, as now, Car/Chassis (V.I.N.) Number HDE43/7418, Engine Number XPEGTF1274, Body Number TF18013 and the factory optional, Chromed Wire Wheels. It was shipped from the factory to the U.S. on October 13th, 1954 Although she is a remarkable 60+ years old, she is in great, restored condition. During her history, many parts were chrome-plated that weren’t so plated by the factory. You’ll find these plated parts in all sorts of places including the Gas Tank sides and, believe it or not, all the Brake Drums and even the Prop Shaft, etc., etc., and especially under the hood. So if you're looking for a car that you can confidently drive to and successfully enter in your local car shows, she is it! Completely Rust-Free with the Undercarriage in excellent condition including all the recent, visible Wooden Components. Although she has been repainted during her 60 year life; the Paintwork has very few, very minor scars of being driven and there are no dents. The original Chrome-plated Parts and the Manufacturer's Badges, etc., are original and in excellent condition. The Clock doesn't work (they never do!) and the Horns and lights work. She has the very minor fluid leaks that just go with the era. I actually think I solved one by tightening the Oil Filter Housing. But, you know what they say about the British classic sports car, "if it doesn't leak, it's because there's no oil in it"! The Engine starts instantaneously from cold with short-lived use of the Choke and runs smoothly, idling at around 800 rpm and enthusiastically awaiting your use. She accelerates willingly with that gorgeous sound from the new Stainless Steel Exhaust with a Polished Muffler. She changes smoothly through all the Gears. First and Reverse are the typically noisy, Moss, straight-cut, non-synchromesh gears. There is virtually no play in the Steering but please remember that the driving position is the older "you can almost hit the horn button with your chest" style. The Steering is quite heavy at slower speeds compared with modern day cars as, in those days, there was no power assistance. The "Emergency" Brake works as it should and the car's Brakes are also good but do require more pressure than one is used to with modern cars (again, no power assistance). Similarly, comparatively heavy, the Clutch can give you wheel spin at the start in First Gear if you wish - proof that the Clutch is good. The Gauges, Switches and Lights have been checked and/or repaired/replaced and work as they should. She has been comprehensively serviced including:- All Fluid levels checked. The Radiator back-flushed and refilled with water. If you live where winters are a problem, please refill with Anti-Freeze. Fuel System checked. Carburetors checked. Air Cleaners cleaned. New Points, Distributor Cap, Condenser and Plugs fitted. Generator and Voltage Regulator checked. Other items of interest:- Chrome Wire Wheels and all 4 Brake Drums. Plenty of Chrome-Plated parts under the Hood, Fenders and at the rear. Four new Tires and a spare. A new, full, black, Tonneau Cover still in the supplier’s box un-opened. I also have an un-used white one if you'd prefer that? Twin, vintage, lap-type, Safety Belts. New Lucas PL700 headlights similar to those fitted to Rolls Royce and other British super luxury cars of the era have been fitted. Working Lucas SLD/SPF576 Spot/Fog Lights of the era and a wired/switched/working Reversing Light have been fitted. A brand new Badge Bar with brand new B.R.S.C.C., B.A.R.C. and MG Abingdon Badges. New Twin, fender-mounted Wing Mirrors and new, twin and of the era, vintage Windscreen Wind Wings etched with “1955 MG TF 1500” have been fitted. New battery cut-off switch fitted for security. She has the original Crank Handle (properly secured behind seats); twin Hood Stays (unusual); an MG Jack with Crank; an of-the-era, working, Hand Air Pump and the correct, Thor, Brass-headed Hammer for the Chromed, Wire Wheel, Knock-on Hubs. On the Passenger-side, Interior Valance a genuine antique, of-the-era, Polished Brass "Presto" mini Fire Extinguisher has been fitted in the original bracket. As the retardant is now illegal, the contents have been evacuated, so the Extinguisher is for decorative purposes only. There is a full MG Toolkit in a new Embroidered-Logo Toolroll. The Hood or Top is White and in good condition as is the rear, transparent window and the Hood's Frame-work. All four, White Side Screens, including the transparent vinyl, are in good condition. However, you surely don’t intend to take her out in the rain so I suggest you wrap them securely and put them in the attic where they belong. She also comes with a new Workshop Manual, an old-style but new Driver's Handbook (i.e. comprehensive) and Driver's Routine Service Manual and several publications which will interest you. A physical inspection by you and/or your agent is cordially invited but by appointment please. I am asking $38,950 but I'll certainly look at your reasonable offer. Typically of classic cars, she is offered on the basis of "AS IS, WHERE IS" and in strict and sole accordance with the terms of a mutually agreed, written SALE/PURCHASE AGREEMENT and a formal BILL OF SALE. My Florida title for the car is clean and unencumbered. So, how does my car and price compare with other cars advertised recently and believed to be in similar condition? Featured in Red with matching Red interior and Black top, this car was subject to a complete nut & bolt restoration to the highest standards by MG experts. Post WWII American servicemen discovered the joys of these simple and nimble roadsters and they were subsequently imported to the US in large numbers. For many people these T series cars were their introduction to sports cars, and a lot of racing drivers started out the MGs. For collectors today these cars still offer the virtues of fun and simplicity. They are easy to work on and virtually any part is available brand new. With the top down, they are ideal for cruising back roads and challenging your favorite twisty bits. This is the best-restored MGTD that we have had the pleasure to offer. The restoration is meticulous and authentic, making this car a concours candidate. But it would also make a wonderful tour car as it is delightful to drive. Bring your string-back gloves! Classics is proud to present this superb 1952 MG TD Roadster.
