Beautifully built, this stylish pickup has all the right ingredients for a serious street machine, and it doesn't matter if you prefer driving or showing, it does it all equally well. Few trucks are as good-looking as Chevy's C10 models from the mid-60s to the mid-70s. This one, with its lowered stance and stepside bed almost looks like the muscle car of trucks, with a predatory crouch and a ton of eyeball appeal. Of course, the sizzling red paint doesn't hurt, along with a cowl-induction hood, and exemplary paint work to make it look its best. A lot of prep work went into this truck before the paint went on, with great gaps and smooth surfaces that show undistorted reflections, a hallmark of quality workmanship. The emblems, door handles, and other add-ons were artfully shaved, and even the mirrors are neat little peep mirrors that look cool but don't get in the way. The tailgate was smoothed and fitted with a very cool light-up emblem that's reminiscent of 1950s truck badges, along with a subtle '454' badge down low. Custom lights in the rear roll pan and LEDs on the rear fenders certainly help with visibility. The bed was given a makeover as well, including a wooden floor with stainless rub strips that looks better than the hardwood in most folks' living rooms. A chrome front bumper adds a lot of class, and the billet grille inserts up front give it a unique look that helps it stand out even more. While the exterior says muscle, the interior says luxury. Custom leather seats with lots of support and a drop down center armrest anchor a luxurious-looking cab that's a long way from 1968. A custom center console was installed and houses a pair of cup holders, and a clock for an elegant look. The original instrument panel was replaced by a billet panel stuffed full of Dolphin gauges, and a polished tilt steering column is topped by a leather-wrapped wheel. Custom door panels were crated to match the upholstery, so the truck has a very polished, high-quality feel, even the floor mats were custom made and are bound in matching tan vinyl. Entertainment is via an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the original location. In the horsepower department, this C10 is rocking a 454 cubic inch Chevy V8, complete with an Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4-barrel carb up top. There's plenty of chrome, from the valve covers to the alternator and the rest was painted red to match the truck. A set of stock exhaust manifolds control heat and noise and have been coated to look good virtually forever. The big block doesn't seem to mind, with endless reserves of torque on tap at any speed, and the custom dual exhaust system sounds awesome exhaling through a pair of tips centered under the license plate in back. It's backed by a Th400 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a custom 12-bolt rear that's been painted to match the body. In fact, almost everything under the truck has been painted bright red, so if you plan on going to shows, bring some mirrors to really show it off, because this sucker is clean! That lowered stance is exactly right, hunkered down on those gorgeous 17-inch Torque Thrust wheels with 215/50/17 front and 255/50/17 rear performance radials. Fast, fun, and stylish, this truck offers an incredible look and heavy-duty hardware for a very reasonable price. But joining this what some call rat rod crowd doesn't mean giving up creature comforts beyond the tough appearance. Although this truck may look like it sat in a field for 30 years, and someone turned the key and drove it out one day, and slapped wheels on it, it isn't. This tri-five pickup body hides some exciting modern conveniences that will make any classic truck enthusiast happy. For starters, this body is all about being secretly rewarding. The solid 1955 Chevrolet 3100 cab and bed have been sprayed to look like it has spent a lifetime being a workhorse. The green paint is a fresh spray that was given the unique appearance of being worn down into patina. The white paint on the bumpers and grille in place of chrome adds to this truck's feeling of industrial roots, and it helps add to the patina attitude. The oak wood of the truck bed is a nice finishing touch that combines premium lumber with a worn-in character. But there is much more to this pickup than portraying six decades of preservation over restoration. The first place this is evident is on the modern Boss five-spoke 18-inch black sport wheels with chrome dishes. Get closer and you'll start to notice the new glass with new rubber seals that makes this a much more weather tight truck than first appearance might suggest. Open the door, and the pickup takes on a new attitude. It swings open with the kind of precision and strength that reminds you how deceptive the worn-look paint really is. The interior is one place where this truck shows off. The interior paint is about like what this truck could have had the day it left the factory in 1955, but the green accent has an obviously nicely upgraded metallic glow. This surrounds a new Auto Meter gauge cluster with critical info for oil pressure, water temperature, battery power, fuel, and speed. The bench seat out of a later full-size Chevy truck, and the vinyl has been recovered in a matching custom green and white tuck and roll. Other modern conveniences include the GT steering wheel that's connected to a tilt column and power steering. A nicely hidden piece on this truck is the AM/FM/MP3/iPod stereo integrated into the dash. And wait...what is that controller for on the seat? Well...once you get beneath this truck, you'll see how stealthy this body really is. The chassis was donated from a Chevrolet C10 that was sanded and painted before the body and cab was installed. The aforementioned controller is connected to a fully adjustable air ride suspension that rises for road trips, but then lets you slam this custom ride to the ground at car shows. The chassis was not the only engineering point that got this kind of modern upgrade attention. A 350 cubic-inch small block was installed under the hood. Because this is a 1993 unit, it features a more modern throttle body fuel injection. Less than 250 miles ago this motor was given a fresh tune-up, including new valve covers and gaskets. Included in the new build was a two chamber aluminum radiator and a dual chamber exhaust. This also features power brakes with discs in front. In fact, just about every mechanical piece of this truck has been upgraded. It's too long to list here, but we'll be happy to show you all of the finer points in person. This Chevy patina is an attitude that tells the world you have a different definition of cool, and by going for this worn-in appearance, this truck shares that notion. It almost looks like it shouldn't be able to drive as you pass everyone on the highway, with all the right comforts contained within...call now to let us give you all the details. Everyone at the car cruise-ins will be gathered wanting to know! It features a great-sounding V8, with all of the niceties you would want for a long enjoyable weekend cruise. With the price we have listed on this one, we don't expect it to last long either. This 1953 Chevy is ready for the road and with its custom touches throughout you'll be sure to turn heads no matter where you go. Vibrant red, although obviously not the original color, is sure to grab everyone's attention. With beautiful chrome accents this car is dazzling. True Chevrolet fans will notice that liberties have been taken when it comes to the bodywork, however in this case the overall presence is stunning. This is a true example of how less can definitely be more. The build was done some years ago, so there's evidence of age in the finish, but from a few feet away it appears near perfect, and for a car that runs this well, it's easy to overlook minor paint issues. At the back of the car many will notice the custom rear tailights, and a nice touch of custom black and gray pin striping around the antenna. The exterior might scream 1950's, however pop open the driver's door and you'll instantly see modern amenities that you would expect in any late model vehicle. The luxurious red leather interior uses buckets that appear from a late-model car, custom door panels, and a fabricated center console to really bring things up to date. Vibrant red carpets match the exterior and give it a bit of contrast to the black dash, and all the modern conveniences are here: a powerful AM/FM/CD system, power steering, and a tilt steering column. Equss gauges were neatly installed in a nice aluminum instrument panel, with auxiliary gauges to the right. Below the dash you'll find the shifter, and before you ask, yes it's equipped with a dice shift knob. There's a full back seat for taking some friends with you, as well as a nicely appointed trunk that's upholstered to match the interior. The old six is gone, replaced by a reliable 305 cubic inch V8 that was pulled from a 1978 Monza LG3. The 145hp engine is a refreshing change from the 350 conversions we've all seen at our local car show. Looking reasonably fresh, the small block makes power using a 4-barrel intake and 4-barrel carburetor. Simple touches, like painting the valve covers and air filter, have been taken to ensure that the engine bay ties into the exterior very nicely. Bolted to the unique small block is a 4-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a 10-bolt rear end. Stopping power comes courtesy of upgraded front disc brakes and rear drums. In front of those brakes, 15" wheels are the perfect '50s rolling stock and carry 205/65R15 blackwall tires for a low-key look. Not stock, but not radical, this is a sensibly updated vintage Chevy that looks good and can be driven anywhere with confidence. Let someone else build the car, then you can own it for a fraction of the investment. Admit it, this 1968 Camaro SS, with this color combination, 383 stroker motor, 5-speed, and awesome stance is the car you would have built anyway, right? You can't do black without getting the bodywork right, so this one looks pretty good with clean flanks and good gaps all around, and the paint, while a few years old, still shines up well. A white bumble bee stripe around the nose highlights the custom '383' badges, and a cowl induction hood looks especially good on the '68s. Out back, there's the usual ducktail spoiler, along with two-element taillights and an SS gas cap, just in case anyone needed a reminder of what just passed them. The '68s lost their vent windows and gained side marker lights, so they're easy to spot and a bit more functional than the '67s, and the purity of the design remains immensely appealing. Nice chrome bumpers with rear bumper guards, bright stainless trim around the windows, and those skinny rocker panel moldings all look especially good on the black car, giving it a dressy look that doesn't blunt the aggression one bit. Black with a code 724 red interior is an awesome combination that's both elegant and dramatic, with a timeless flair that will always look good. Restored buckets, recent carpets, and correct door panels all help give the interior a very finished look. The original gauges have been replaced by a full set of Auto Meter white-faced gauges that nestle neatly into the original instrument pods, with the auxiliary gauges down on the console the way the factory did it. Looking a little more closely at the console and you'll note that there are five forward gears on the Hurst cue ball now, a little detail that pays big dividends in terms of drivability. The factory AM radio is still in the dash, although it's probably due for an upgrade any time now, and that lovely wood-rimmed steering wheel is a great finishing touch. The trunk is neatly outfitted with a correct reproduction mat that fits superbly, as well as a full-sized spare and jack assembly. Camaros with small blocks are typically no big deal, but when the small block is a snarling, torque-heavy 383 cubic inch stroker motor, things change. Beautifully detailed like a race piece, the potent V8 looks muscle bound sitting in the all black engine bay. Satin finished valve covers work well with all the aluminum bits surrounding the engine, and there's a lot of it: aluminum Dart heads, aluminum Edelbrock intake, aluminum valve covers. A few chrome pieces help add some contrast and the MSD ignition system and long-tube headers make it cackle. It's not particularly high-strung, so it's easy to drive in traffic, but when you open it up you'd better make sure it's pointed in the right direction because things start to happy pretty quickly. 4.10s out back aren't a big deal with the overdrive transmission and the X-pipe exhaust system sounds truly Wagnerian at full throttle. It crouches down on trick custom A-arms and rolls on polished Torque Thrust wheels with fat Michelin radials wrapped around them. Can you tell how much we like this car? Awesome colors, awesome stance, awesome horsepower all make for one impressive Camaro. From concourse quality restorations, to wild show builds, trucks have always been a great platform to stand out from the crowd. This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 is a great example of that. It makes its statement with flashy, custom painted graphics that look great and not overdone. Starting at the nose of the truck is a brilliant red hue that stretches to the top of the roof. Before transitioning to the glossy black finish at the rear of the truck, the two contrasting colors are split with a diagonal 'Z' formation silver stripe, creating three separate colors that accent each other well. The paint lies smoothly on the truck's panels and makes for a clean look with shaved door handles. There is some chrome highlights with a chrome grill, chrome bumper up front, chrome tail lights, chrome mirrors, and chrome steps on the stepside bed. Inside that bed is beautifully finished wood panels that provide a nice, classic aesthetic. Above the windshield you'll find stylish windshield visor that has a cool, custom vibe, and out back you'll see custom airbrushed graphics proudly showing off the Chevrolet and Bowtie logos. Sitting on 15'' bullet hole style wheels, it wraps up to a custom package that looks great! Pop open the doors with the electronic door actuators with the remote and you're greeted by a fairly simplistic, but functional interior. Modern power bucket seats are wrapped in black leather and have convenient electric adjustments. They flank an aftermarket center console that serves as a comfortable arm rest, with a storage compartment, and dual cup holders. The dash, door trim, and interior shell have been body matched in the same red color as the front of the truck with tight carpet-like material finishing off the doors, while the same material is inserted up top for a clean headliner. A Sony AM/FM/CD player is mounted in the dash, while a digital gauge cluster provides the driver with necessary information. The driver is connected to the road via a Grant GT steering wheel. Lift the hood to find a 327 cubic inch V8 that is cradled in a flat black engine bay. It's been dresssed up and modified with finned Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, chrome pulleys and fan shroud, and all of the hoses and wires have been dressed in steel braiding for a high performance look. A powerful Optima Red Top battery takes care of power, and exhaust gasses are sent through a dual, side exit exhaust system. Another feature you'll notice when you pop the hood is the custom Betty Bop mural that pays homage to the legendary Route 66. That small block sends power to a 3-speed automatic transmission and power steering in the upgraded A-arm suspension front end makes driving this pick up even more enjoyable. Putting the power to the road is 255/60/15 Grand Am Radial GTs at all four corners. When you're looking for a custom reliable classic truck to make a statement, you look for trucks like this '56 3100. It's got a clean shell, eye-popping good looks, and a storied small block that provides a great platform for even more customization should you choose. Custom trucks are a popular segment in this hobby, don't miss this opportunity. Add in a great-running small block V8 and a bunch of creature comforts, and you get a truck that's still daily-driver friendly but show-truck outrageous. There's probably close to the asking price tied up in the cosmetics on this pickup, which makes it one heck of a bargain for those of you who like the look. The tri-tone paint, including bright green, blue, and burgundy details, all separated by hand-painted pinstripes, offers a jaw-dropping look. We don't know exactly when the work was done, but it looks quite fresh so it's either a recent build or a very, very well-preserved restoration that has had the best of care. The modifications are subtle but effective, including a cowl-induction hood, shaved emblems, a smooth tailgate, a billet grille up front, and some artistic pinstripe work offers a traditional look. Chrome bumpers really are the best choice on these vintage pickups, and the bed is fitted with a snug-fitting tonneau that makes for a large, weatherproof storage area complete with all-weather carpet. The interior is a little more mainstream, with a wide bench seat wrapped in blue fabric that maintains the truck's practical side. The instrument panel on these trucks is so good looking that you really don't need custom gauges to make it look fantastic, and even with some normal light fade on the orange needles, they're in fine condition. To make this truck even more user-friendly, it includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Vintage Air heat and A/C, and an upgraded stereo system that really sounds good. More custom pinstriping on the glove box door ties it together with heavy-duty floor mats protect the plush carpets that help control noise and heat. Mechanically, this truck sticks to the traditional formula: 350 cubic inches of Chevrolet V8 power. The engine bay is very nicely done with a combination of OEM and aftermarket parts to create a show look without compromising reliability. Edelbrock supplied a few dress-up pieces and the block is painted Chevy Orange, so it really stands out nicely against the blue body paint. It starts and runs like a small block chevy should, and in the lightweight short bed/regular cab truck, performance is quite entertaining. You'll note that the undercarriage was detailed at the same time, so the bright blue paint extends to the frame and suspension, which uses dropped A-arms and lowering springs to give it the ideal stance. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spins the original rear end, so the truck cruises easily and doesn't mind working now and then, if that's your inclination. Long-tube headers and a custom exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers offer a hot rod sound that seems completely appropriate on this customized C10. Custom Boss Motorsports wheels recall vintage Torque Thrusts and emphasizes the lowered look with staggered 18-inch front and 20-inch rear performance radials. Customs like this aren't for everyone, but if you like to stand out and understand that building a truck like this takes big dollars, then you'll also understand that it represents something of a bargain. Great to look at and lots of fun to drive, this C10 definitely delivers on the promises made by its outrageous good looks. This 1963 Chevrolet C10 truck has an all-black appearance that's backed up by a monster big-block roller motor and the meanest growls we have heard in our showroom...period. There's no way anyone will mistake this fleetside Chevy pickup for a workman's ride. Where there should be chrome up front, this one stands out with its street-eating all-black appearance. The midnight paintwork still has that great car show shine that highlights all the beautiful 1960s bodylines, but this one can't hide its mean streak. The power bulge in the custom hood is a bold announcement of a 'don't mess with me' motor (more on that shortly.) This pickup does come with some great style touches such as the Custom Cab chrome b-pillars were left in place to match the door handles, side peep mirror, and alloy wheels. Plus, the rear bumper has been shaved and given new red LED taillights that stand out nicely. This truck's dark side continues on the inside with a black and gray custom interior. Late-model bucket seats provide a much better level of comfort than the original bench ever could. The driver-oriented setup means your left hand rest perfectly on the Grant three-spoke steering wheel (with power steering), and the right one is taking advantage of the B&M sport shifter. To keep informed of all conditions, there's a full set of AutoMeter gauges complimented by large Sport-Comp tach with shift light. There is a modern AM/FM/CD stereo in the dash, but you'll likely be too busy enjoying the sound from the dual exhaust that exits just behind the doors. For most trucks a 454 cubic-inch big block V8 is more than enough power, but on a pickup this wild, the motor was bored to a monstrous 468... and the power upgrade doesn't end there. This V8 has been rebuilt less than 1,800 miles ago with performance components such as an MSD ignition, high-flow air filter, Brodix valve covers, and Lunati roller camshaft. All of this and more adds up to around and estimated 500 hp pumping out of the engine bay, and it feels like it for sure. This is mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission with 2,200 rpm shift stall. Such a beefy unit was needed because it's not only perfect for cruising as a regular automatic, but also this manual valve body gearbox allows you to bang through the gears on your own when it's time to go fast. From there, the power is sent to a Ford nine-inch rear end that's held in place by a three-link coilover rear suspension. The final step to making sure this Chevy is the king of the street or the dragstrip are the massive 33X19.5X15 Mickey Thompson rear tires that are built for superior grip. The rear wheel wells needed to be tubbed to fit the wide wheels, but this custom build comes with a bed cover to hide it as well as the rear-mounted fuel cell. So this all-black pickup can almost travel through the night in stealth mode...well, as long as no one pays attention to the thunderous rumble from the tailpipes. This Chevy was built for one purpose: intimidation. It has the right look to scare muscle cars off the streets and a pile of power to back it up. The acceleration is phenomenal, and we don't expect this one to stay around long in our showroom. This one doesn't disappoint in any way. Just one look and you can see a lot of work that has gone into this pickup. The deep blue, with a hint of purple paint has the kind of rich and deep shine that is better than anything that could have come from 1956. The chrome of the egg crate grille, bumpers, gas cap, door handles, and light surrounds all shine like mirrors. There is even a bit of attitude added to this truck with a lowered stance on aftermarket double tri-star wheels. But even with these refreshed and upgraded items, the truck doesn't lose its original personality. This model series was the beginning of the wraparound windshields, and is known for the extra flair in the fenders (especially the rear). The final touch is the real wood truck bed with the correct alternating planks between body matched metal strips. The tailored feel of this truck really is raised another notch just by stepping inside. Custom leather bucket seats have an included armrest and a nice diamond stitching pattern. This provides a blueprint for the door panels and headliner. All of the metal pieces on the inside utilize the shade of blue used on the exterior. Even with all this coordination, there are some areas for extra chrome such as on the Lokar floor shifter, custom steering wheel (with power steering), and tilting wheel column. Just like on the outside, some of the best styling elements went untouched. For example, fan-style gauge cluster is a great piece to keep because it has the same cool character that was being added to Chevy's now-iconic 1956 passenger cars. The motor is very performance oriented, but it still offers an interesting twist on originality. The last few years of this Task Force series were the first time Chevy offered the V8 under the hood. This 1956 model had its V8 substituted by the larger 283 cubic-inch motor that was available in 1957 the final year for this setup. The V8 then had performance goodies added such as a Mallory ignition, exhaust headers, and tri-power carburators, also known as three deuces, mounted on an Offenhauser intake. But trucks like this are meant to show off, even standing still, so there are plenty of chrome upgrades such as the shroud, alternator, piping, and the finned valve covers. All of this provides a nice contrast to the engine bay's paint, which also matches the exterior and interior color a final touch to this uniform appearance, and more evidence of a comprehensive build. This motor is mated to a three-speed automatic, which then sends the power to a Ford nine-inch rear end. With tubular control arms, power rack and pinion steering, and power front disc brakes, this old workhorse drives like a dream. It might seem odd to add that final blue oval part to such a loyal bow-tie truck, but trust us, you want this kind of reliability with all the added performance parts. When you want a custom vintage truck, you look for one that has great upgrades, great paint and body, without it losing its soul. Here is all of that personality in and extremely well done package. There's a lot of work that went into restoring this truck. Check out all of the finer points that really make this pickup special. The 1951 Chevy 3100 series, did not come with much chrome, and this truck takes it a step further by eliminating the front bumper and smoothing out the front lip for a custom single-color hot rod appearance. While we're not sure of the exact name of the paint, it has so much depth that we'll just refer to it as the Purple People Eater. In fact this shade is coordinated so well that it is even used on the inner ring of the 15-inch slotted wheels. Of course where the real detailed work is apparent is the truck bed. Often custom trucks like this use a lot of brightwork, but this one uses stained wood. The polished and sealed oak wood full custom truck bed is the kind of unique piece that will have you making a lot of new friends at cars shows. This is not just some square box. It is fully functioning bed with a tailgate and rear bumper made from this distinctive lumber. Inside is an interesting mix of old and new worlds. The bucket seats are out of a younger model Chevy truck, and the arrangement even features a useable lockable center console with cup holders. The gray carpeting and door panels appear new and match the upholstery very well. The extra tall floor shifter for the automatic transmission feels like a custom piece out a chopper motorcycle (possibly why this one also comes with Harley-Davidson branded rubber floor mats). The steering wheel has a very honest and original feel to it, but once you look beyond it, there is a new gauge package with upgraded dials to relay all this truck's vital info. A custom pickup this cool could never live with the original six-cylinder motor known as the Thriftmaster. Instead, this one was upgraded further up the General Motors family tree with a more modern and powerful 350 cubic-inch small-block V8, mated to an automatic transmission. The chrome air cleaner and valve covers provide a bit of flash in the engine bay, and that little peek at the iconic orange of the Chevy engine block adds to this performance-oriented style. In fact, this whole truck is built to be a solid performer. The forward-leaning stance and dual exhaust help announce its beastliness, but the Sport King 215/75R15 Steel Radial tires help add comfort to the ride with the independent front I-beam suspension. This is the kind of custom truck that only comes around one in a lifetime. Usually this kind of uniqueness is not this affordable. So grab it now before it's gone forever. Daily we see these trucks increasing in demand. From concourse quality restorations, to custom rat rods, to wild show builds, trucks have always been a great platform to stand out from the crowd. This slick black 1956 Chevrolet 3100 is a great example of that. This Tri-five Chevy pickup has modern looks with classic style. The glossy black paint is obviously not what you would have seen driving down the road back in the day, but it really has brought it to the 21st century. Not wanting to distract from the gorgeous curves, the door handles and emblems were shaved, making all the lines crisp and clean. The front is accented by the desired wraparound windshield and cool visor. The chrome front bumper and egg-crate grille add a little sparkle to the dark colors of the truck without glitzing it up too much. There are also small chrome details with the side step, mirrors, and surrounding the front and rear lights. The Chevy emblem in the back has been custom painted to match the interior, and the wood bed is almost too beautiful to haul anything in. With its lowered stance, and late model suspension, this is one truck that will catch everyone's attention no matter where you go. Pop open the doors with the remote electronic door actuators and you're greeted by a fairly simplistic, but functional interior. Modern power bucket seats are wrapped in grey leather and have convenient electric adjustments. They flank an aftermarket center console that serves as a comfortable armrest, with a storage compartment, and dual cup holders. The dash, door trim, and interior shell have been painted in a vibrant red color and taut carpet-like material finishing off the doors, while the same material is inserted up top for a clean headliner. A Sony AM/FM/CD player is mounted in the dash, while a digital gauge cluster provides the driver with necessary information. The driver is connected to the road via a Grant GT steering wheel. Lift the hood to find a 327 cubic inch V8 that is cradled in a clean flat black engine bay. It's been dressed up and modified with finned Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, chrome pulleys and fan shroud, and all of the hoses and wires have been dressed in steel braiding for a high performance look. A powerful Optima Red Top battery takes care of power, and exhaust gasses are sent through a dual, side exit exhaust system. Another feature you'll notice when you pop the hood is a custom Betty Bop mural that pays homage to the legendary Route 66. That small block sends power to a 3-speed automatic transmission and power steering in the upgraded A-arm suspension front end makes driving this pick up even more enjoyable. This 3100 wont ride like a 2x4 like it did in 1956. Putting the power to the road is 20" Riddler's that have been wrapped in staggered 275/40ZR20 rubber out back and 245/35ZR20 up front. With the demanded look of the 50's era coupled with the amenities of today's trucks, you'll want to grab this one while it lasts! They have loads of aftermarket support so the possibilities are truly endless. But you can't deny the handsome good looks of this 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air. It shares the same curb appeal as the popular tri-fives, but adds a twist with a unique, slightly custom look that will set it apart from the rest. Covered in bright red paint that looks very nice, the first statement this car makes is a vivid presence. The sheet metal is flat and wears the paint well. Like a good outfit, the red and chrome contrast on this car is absolutely stunning and will remain a timeless look. One of the cool things about the '58 Chevy is the artistic use of the side fins spanning the sides of the car, to the distinctive shape at the rear that ends by framing bullet style tail lights. Covering most of the length of the car is stainless side trim that points forward like an arrow to the front where you'll notice a bright chrome bumper topped by quad head lights. It's a look that is certainly classic, but also very cool with the custom chrome wheels. Inside is a soft, white vinyl interior, that features two pleated bench seats at the front and rear. There are custom touches throughout, with custom Bel Air stitching flanking the rear bench seat, and a center console that towers underneath the vivid red dash. That console houses an AM/FM/CD player, as well as vents for the Vintage Air air conditioning system. The rest of the dash remains as it came in 1958 with the factory supplied instrumentation, topped by the great looking steering wheel. It's body matched with stainless inserts, so you can count on it being a classic dash that is a pleasure to look at. Out back is a custom leather lined trunk that looks great, but is still usable with plenty of storage room. But...the show stopper of this Bel Air is when you lift the hood! Cradled in that bright red engine bay is a healthy 502 cubic inch V8. To keep things cool it sends water through an aluminum radiator, so this big block is ready for warm weather idling that shouldn't cause any drama. Breathing through a chrome air cleaner, and aluminum intake manifold, this motor will produce plenty of ponies to make things fun if you desire! The underpinnings remain fairly stock with hardware that has been freshened up, rest assured this car is ready to tick on many more miles. With that 502 sending exhaust gasses through a dual exhaust system, driving this car will be a blast as it produces an incredible sound. If you want a '50s era Chevy, and are ready to outshow the tri-fives at your local shows and cruise-ins, this 1958 Bel Air may be the perfect companion for you. It's got a classic, custom look with a beast of a motor. You'll certainly stand out with its style and the growls it makes when starting the engine. If you've been looking for a custom pickup to add to your stable, this might be the perfect chance for you. If you're going to paint it black, you need to invest the extra time to make it straight. Well this truck was built right, and the finish shows hours in the body shop with careful attention to detail on sanding and prepping the sheetmetal. Next, several coats of glossy black paint was sprayed and polished for a brilliant shine. Red and silver pin striping subtly accents the black paint. Chrome and stainless trim mostly remain in place, but the chrome bumper has been removed out back for a custom roll pan that sits below a sharp custom tailgate. That tailgate frames a bed that has been finished in custom, black diamond plate that is a different touch from all of the wood paneling we're used to seeing. And it's hard to ignore that lowered stance of this classic that sits on staggered chrome 5-spoke wheels, measuring 17'' up front and 20'' in the rear. This truck is also comfortable, thanks to a nicely finished leather interior. The original bench has been scrapped and a split bench wrapped in soft, red leather and folding armrest is the feature of the cabin, it's easy to forget this is a classic pickup truck. The door panels house power window switches and are highlighted with more red leather, while a tilt column is topped by a custom red-trimmed steering wheel, which also helps with the upscale vibe. Dolphin gauges reside in a body-matched dash that is accented with more pin striping. Beneath that dash is an air conditioning unit to keep things cool, and the classic AM/FM radio has been fitted with an iPod/auxiliary input. It's a comfortable space to spend time in, whether you're trucking to the next cruise-in, or to the local hardware store. As you'd expect, this Chevy still carries Chevy power, a 305 cubic inch V8 in this case. All the standard gear is here, from a Holley carburetor, to the finned valve covers and air cleaner. The engine bay is nicely finished with a glossy intake manifold, polished alternator, and red plug wires. The fire wall and inner fenders are covered in more of that deep black paint, providing a great backdrop for the bright bits on the engine. Front power disc brakes on the late model sub frame provide vastly improved stopping power, and aftermarket headers leading to a custom dual exhaust system give it an authoritative voice. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission makes highway cruising a breeze, and a 10-bolt rear end rounds out the powertrain, leaving you with no worries about reliability. Transferring the small block's power to the pavement is 215/45/17 front and 245/45/20 rear radials. With an ever-growing amount of popularity and endless possibilities, the Chevrolet 3100 has solidified it's place in the classic car market. When we get customs in like this '51, they're quick to receive attention. If you fancy a cool and custom classic pickup, now is a great opportunity. That is what made this car a sleeper legend that has spawned some seriously cool custom builds like this one, that spare no expense. How else can you explain this freshly restored 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS with beautiful metallic paint, and a fresh performance-built 450 hp V8 under the hood? Chevrolet made these Nova SS cars sleepers from the factory, and that attitude has served it well right into modern times. Rendered in extremely slick and fashionable metallic burnt orange paint, most take one look at the sleek lines and figure that it has to be customized. But the truth is, this is just the product of a quality frame-off restoration that was finished only a few months ago. Aside from the cowl induction hood and billet grille, the rest of the car is original GM styling. Even most of the trim remains intact, including the rocker moldings, SS badges, and bright chrome bumpers front and rear. Even the Rally wheels are a factory piece, but of course, having them painted in the car's custom orange is a nice cue that this one is a cut above. The ProCar black vinyl buckets do the perfect job of being exceptionally comfortable, but the seatbacks don't rise above the doorline. This is particularly important because people can see all the way through the sideview on this pillarless hardtop, which is always the coolest kind of profile. There's a high center console in-between the buckets to rest your arm on a long trip, and that's just the first of many thoughtful comfort features. This includes an AM/FM digital stereo that's also adaptable to modern tunes, and an ice-cold air conditioning system to keep everyone happy. But even if this is the Nova that can carry the family in comfort, it's still a driver's car at its heart. That's why you have a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, and beyond that, the full set of Classic Instruments gauges tell you there is something wicked under the hood. While this Nova looks custom-built from every angle, you can tell the budget was really blown in the engine bay. This is a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8, a nice upgrade from the 6 cylinder that would have came stock in all Chevy II's this year. One of GM's best motors, the 383 has been further enhanced and fortified with performance goodies such as Dart aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer Air Gap intake, cast steel crank, forged I-beam connecting rods, high performance pistons, Scorpion Racing roller rockers, Comp Cams roller camshaft, and long tube headers. There's even more to list, but we don't have the room here. Instead, we'll be happy to share the build receipts with you for all the details, and it will also show that this one is barely broken-in with a few years, and less than 1,000 miles on it, since built. But all you really need to know is that the full package is rated at 450 horsepower, and everyone will acknowledge this muscle the moment they hear the performance H-pipe dual exhaust. You also won't have trouble getting this power to the road, thanks to a stout TCI Streetfighter TH350 three-speed automatic with 2200 RPM stall converter to keep you in the powerband. This is backed up by a 10-bolt rear end, borrowed from the '71 Nova, which was equipped to handle a high-performance V8s like this. But there's also a more comfortable side to this Nova. You saw it in the interior, and you'll also feel it on the road with everyday convenient features like power steering and the front disc brakes. Add that to the adjustable front independent suspension, and lowered rear, and you've got the perfect recipe for everything from go out cruising for a little fun on a Saturday night, to enjoying the long haul on the Power Tour. Here's show-stopping looks on a freshly restored, and beastly first-gen Nova SS. It doesn't get much better than this, and it will be hard to find anything this quality for the price again.
