With a slippery shape and razor-edge lines that are every bit as wind cheating as they are alluring, the car LIVES to run; and anything less than triple-digit speeds is just a waste of its time! Built by Nostalgia Motorcars Ltd. of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and recently serviced by Automotive International of Charlotte, North Carolina, this CAV GT40 is about as close to riding a bullet as you can get. And, with less than 200 miles on its bright digital odometer, it's a fresh, fully sorted track machine that's ready to rock and roll! Looking for a legitimate continuation of Ford's original super car? Looking for a clean classic that's capable of almost inconceivable levels of performance? This incredible coupe is your ultimate thrill ride! BODYWORK/TRIM It's likely that the extreme, purpose-built nature of the GT40 doesn't really occur to most people until they see one up close. At just 40 inches tall, the driver is more or less lying in the cockpit rather than sitting. And that low-slung profile, combined with the car's buckled down nose and sawed off tail, creates one wicked looking custom! As a highly authentic replica of Ford's original GT40, this killer CAV utilizes a durable Vinylester body, which is much stronger than traditional resin, to create a fully sealed, noise-free sports car. That body, the product of 200 man-hours of skilled hand shaping, is mocked to its chassis long before the car hits final assembly. And that Vinylester surface adds both form and function by stiffening the car's frame during hard cornering and presenting a smooth canvas for top notch 2-stage. Speaking of top-notch paint, sprayed in-house and buffed to a brilliant shine, this Ford's contemporary and timeless coat of True Blue pigment creates classic aesthetics that will keep fans marveling. And, while it isn't easy to create a world-class show stopper out of complex resin shapes, the car's excellent build is a true testament to the 600 man-hours of labor invested by its first rate manufacturer. While this stunning Ford is best experienced in the flesh, look closely at our high resolution photos and you'll be able to see the amount of accurate and impressive detailing that was carefully baked in to the car's classic design. Up front, a slightly canted nosepiece, which provides cooling and triple-digit downforce, stacks correct Cibie headlights, clear driving lamps and chrome-trimmed parking lights behind aerodynamic Lexan covers. Behind those lamps, a deep diffuser funnels wind across polished, Monza-style fuel fillers and a tinted windshield that's cleared by a street legal wiper. Behind that windshield, vented Lexan side windows occupy traditional, guillotine-style doors that are equipped with flush-fitting, satin-finished handles. At the back of those doors, sculpted fenders hang massive air intakes between satin-finished cowl hinges. Between those fenders, a Lexan engine cover displays the car's "COBRA" branded mill in front of satin-finished heat dissipaters and a seamless ducktail spoiler. And below those dissipaters, dual-mode tail lamps frame a metal valance that's centered on traditional exhaust pipes. ENGINE By law, specialty vehicle companies like CAV America are not allowed to sell their cars with complete drivetrains. But they'll gladly provide suggestions that range from stoplight spooky to racetrack scary! Looking for the perfect blend of power and streetability, the owner of this coupe decided to opt for a reliable, 302 cubic inch Ford small block that was assembled by the techs at Nostalgia Motorcars Ltd. of Rock Hill, South Carolina. The long-rod mill's energy mixture is supplied by four 2-barrel Weber carbs, which are dressed in small air filters and braided fluid lines. That mixture travels in to free-breathing heads, which hang aluminum, "COBRA" branded valve covers over 7mm Standard Plus plug wires that are snapped onto an aftermarket points distributor. Heat is kept in check by an aluminum cross-flow radiator that's fitted with two SPAL puller fans. Spent gases are cycled through eight stainless steel pipes that correctly mimic Ford's original 'bundle of snakes' exhaust. And, from its chrome breathers all the way to its deep-sump oil pan, this clean small block is lean, mean and 100% ready to roll. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The bottom of this modern GT40 is as simple as it is technical, with the car's entire undercarriage, save for the engine and transmission, being covered in black, aerodynamic belly pans. The chassis is a TIG-welded, stainless monocoque, which rides on a fully independent suspension. Turns come courtesy of manual rack-and-pinion steering, which leads aggressive suspension geometry, adjustable anti-roll bar linkages, 16 adjustable rose joints and fully adjustable Competition coil-overs. Stops are provided by a power-assisted PBR brake system, which makes good use of four billet calipers, braided fluid lines and four 300mm vented rotors. Behind the engine, you'll find a tough hydraulic clutch, which bumps a rugged Getrag 5-speed that was sourced directly from Audi. All that track prowess grips through 15-inch Halibrands, which twist 235/60 Dunlop G/T Qualifier Radials in front of 295/50 Dunlop G/T Qualifier Radials. And the chassis' stiffness is greatly aided by a whole roster of precision parts that includes CNC-punched panels, laser-cut suspension components and stiff, billet aluminum uprights. INTERIOR Naturally, this Ford's interior is every bit as nice as its lightweight shell. Step over the car's 9.5-gallon, FIA-approved fuel cells and you'll find original-style bucket seats that wear upgraded leather surfaces under authentic brass grommets and modern Simpson race harnesses. In front of those seats, a stitched dash hangs clean VDO telemetry above correct Lucas switches and an original-style, adjustable pedal box. At the bottom of the car, clean carpet frames a dressed tunnel, which centers a small, leather-wrapped shifter in front of a Wilwood proportioning valve. Above that carpet, original-style Hartswell hardware secures light doors, which feature basic panels and small Lexan vent windows. In front of the driver, an aluminum steering wheel spins a thick, black rim. And behind the passengers, a broad Lexan window provides constant monitoring of the car's potent firepower. Everything in this purpose-built racer is virtually new, from its carpet all the way to its headliner. And, with the addition of a few street friendly refinements, the simplistic cockpit has become a surprisingly comfortable place to spend a fun day at the track. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONThe car's CAV GT specs sheet and build historyA CAV booklet coverA CAV key chain and leather key holder This storied Ford super car is an impressive, track-capable cruiser that's fully sorted and scary fast! With a slippery shape and razor-edge lines that are every bit as wind-cheating as they are alluring, the car LIVES to run; and anything less than triple-digit speeds is just a waste of its time! Recently serviced by Olthoff Racing, and upgraded by the pros at Holman Moody, this Superformance Mk I is about as close to riding a bullet as you can get. And, with less than 10K miles on its bright digital odometer, it's a fresh, fully-sorted track machine that's ready to rock and roll! Looking for a legitimate continuation of Ford's original Mk I? Looking for a classic that's capable of almost inconceivable levels of performance? This incredible Ford is your ultimate thrill ride! I don't think the extreme, purpose-built nature of the GT40 really occurs to most people until they see one up close. At just 40 inches tall, the driver is more or less lying in the cockpit rather than sitting. And that low-slung profile, when combined with the car's buckled down nose and sawed off tail, creates one wicked looking custom! As a highly authentic continuation of Ford's original GT40, this killer Superformance Mk I utilizes a pressed steel roof and high quality fiberglass to create a fully sealed, noise-free sports car. Hand layered for extra strength and rigidity, and attached to the chassis via composite adhesive, those fiberglass panels both stiffen the car's frame during hard cornering and align a smooth canvas for top notch, three-layer paint. And, speaking of top notch paint, timeless PPG pigment provides a classic look that'll have people marveling at its reflections for years to come. It isn't easy to create a world class show stopper out of complex resin shapes, and this GT40's excellent fit and finish is a testament to both the OEM quality of its manufacturer and the true talents of its builders. While this stunning Ford is best experienced in the flesh, look closely at our high resolution photos and you'll be able to see the amount of accurate and impressive detailing that was engineered into its design from day one. On the leading edge of the car's body, a 3M-protected front clip stacks correct Cibie headlights, clear driving lamps and chrome-trimmed parking lights behind aerodynamic Lexan covers. Between those lights, Satin Black bumperettes hang inside a slightly canted grille that provides both cooling and much needed triple-digit downforce. Opposite that grille, deep diffusers funnel wind across polished, Monza-style fillers for the car's FIA approved fuel tanks. Between those fillers, a tinted windshield, which is cleared by a street legal wiper, complements vented Lexan side windows and a traditional Gurney bubble. At the sides of the car, expressive fenders position massive air intakes behind satin-finished door handles, satin-finished cowl hinges and chrome racing mirrors. Between those fenders, a "Superformance" branded bulkhead displays the car's spectacular engine in front of a sleek heat dissipater and subtle metal spoiler. And below that spoiler, dual-mode tail lamps frame a mesh valance that's centered on a giant stainless exhaust system. By law, specialty vehicle companies like Superformance are not allowed to sell their cars with complete drivetrains. But they'll gladly provide suggestions that range from stoplight spooky to race track scary! Looking for the perfect blend of power and streetability, the previous owner of this Mk I decided to opt for a reliable, 347 cubic inch Dart Sportsman that was assembled by the techs at Vaseleniuck Engine Development in Denver, North Carolina. The mean mill's energy mixture is supplied by 8-stack Weber-style fuel injection that's dressed in braided fluid lines and chrome air cleaners. That mixture travels in to Air Flow Research heads, which hang Holman Moody valve covers and high quality roller rockers over forged SRP pistons, H-beam connecting rods and custom-hardened pushrods. That valvetrain combusts thanks to a tough steel crank and requisite Comp roller cam. Fire for that combustion comes courtesy of an MSD billet distributor and premium Ford Racing plug wires. That fire is kept in check by an aluminum cross-flow radiator and two electric puller fans. And spent gases are cycled through eight stainless steel pipes, two collectors and two mufflers that are packaged together to mimic Ford's original 'bundle of snakes' exhaust. From its chrome breathers all the way to its Aviaid oil pan, this clean small block is 100% ready to show. And first rate details, like ARP studs, a true roller timing set, March billet pulleys and a Melling high performance oil pump, ensure the car is more than just a curbside attraction! One of the coolest aspects of buying a Superformance GT40 is authenticity. You're getting a custom that's so true to Ford's design that two-thirds of its parts interchange with a factory-original car. That means, not only can it legally use the "GT40" moniker, it's also automatically recognized by the Shelby Registry. That's why Superformance marketing refers to this Mk I as a "continuation", and nowhere is that "continuation" more evident than under the skin. For starters, the car's entire undercarriage, save for the engine and rear axle, is covered in black, aerodynamic belly pans. Its zinc-coated chassis is an original-style monocoque set-up, which rides on an unequal length front A-arm and independent rear suspension. Turns come courtesy of manual rack and pinion steering, which utilizes a RAMLIFTpro hydraulic system and aggressive suspension geometry to provide the tight cornering GT cars are known for. Stops are provided by modern Wilwood Superlite brakes, which include 4-piston calipers, braided hoses and vented rotors. And behind the engine, a rugged ZF 5DS25 5-speed twists stout 3.77 gears. All that power flows through high quality Halibrand-style wheels, which turn 215/60R15 front and 295/50R15 rear Avon radials around traditional spinners. And the chassis' stiffness is greatly aided by a level of precision that includes over 240 laser-cut, bent or pressed components. Open this Ford's guillotine-style doors and you'll find an attractive Black interior that's every bit as authentic as its lightweight shell. Original-style bucket seats wear upgraded suede surfaces under authentic silver rivets and G-FORCE racing harnesses. At the front of the car, a Flat Black dash hangs correct Smiths telemetry, including an electronic speedometer, above correct Lucas switches and an original-style adjustable pedal box. At the bottom of the car, an offset, driver-biased tunnel centers an upgraded shifter on like-new carpet that wraps around a polished fire extinguisher and 10-gallon sill tanks. Above those tanks, original-style Hartswell door hardware secures small vent windows and driver's side controls for a standard air conditioning system. In front of the driver, an aluminum steering wheel features a colorful "FORD GT40" logo at the center of Satin Black spokes and a thick leather rim. And behind the passengers, a broad window provides constant monitoring of the car's massive firepower. Everything in this purpose-built racer is virtually new, from its carpet all the way to its headliner. And, with the addition of a few street friendly refinements, this simplistic cockpit has become a surprisingly comfortable place to spend a fun day at the track. The sale of this awesome Mk I includes a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin, a Superformance owner's manual and a simple steering wheel lock. This storied Ford super car is an impressive, track-capable cruiser that's fully-sorted and scary fast! The fact that it's professionally finished and packs show-stopping good looks is merely icing on the cake. But every once in a while, we like to get a little crazy and make sure you're still paying attention. Hey, a gearhead is a gearhead, right? We love ALL kinds of people movers. A few months back we decided to throw you the incredible, investment grade curve ball that is our Hallett Barron Drag Boat And today, well, we're featuring an offering that can easily tow that boat... Or a camper... Or something from the farm ... Or even a couple more classics, should you feel the need to extend your RK Motors shopping spree. So, without further ado, here's a Cummins-powered, Terminator-themed Ford F650 pickup truck! BODYWORK/TRIM Let's start with looks. A few years back, the ever-escalating truck wars inspired a rash of Medium Duty pickup conversions. Offerings like Kodiak and TopKick duallies, the International CXT and the F650 and F750 became staples of showing, towing and comfortable travel. That's pretty much where this F650 currently rides. At the front of the truck, a mirrored steel bumper frames a chrome grille, traditional headlights and a tilting fiberglass hood that kicks off the aforementioned Terminator motif. Behind that hood, a familiar Super Duty cab seats factory-tint glass between a factory visor, factory tow mirrors, chrome C-pillar grabs and hardware for the truck's satellite TV. Beneath that cab, painted and diamond-plated steps hide large fuel tanks. Behind those steps, a lined dually bed centers a color-keyed toolbox between tubular rails and a sliding glass window. And at the back of that bed, a Terminator-branded tailgate caps a chrome dually bumper, which centers a small rearview camera over large mud flaps and a coated Reese Hitch. Most of the truck's vivid visuals come courtesy of completely removable vinyl that was freshly applied by Greensboro, North Carolina's DeDona Tint & Sound. The only exception to that rule is the painted billboards on the aforementioned steps. ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN As the name suggests, the F650 is Ford's offering in the Class 6 Medium Duty truck market. That means the truck's beefy, tow-anything frame has straight, C-channel rails made of 50,000 psi steel. That frame rolls on 8,500 lb. Dana Spicer axles, which span the distance between six 22.5-inch Accuride alloys and fresh meats that were installed just 2,000 miles back. A Ford-supplied air suspension helps counter the exceptional ballast resistance of that stiff frame/tall tire combo. Stops come courtesy of 4-wheel disc brakes, which are augmented with standard ABS and Bosch air-assisted parking. Power-assisted steering is present and accounted for. An electronically shifted Allison 5-speed sets everything in motion. And power is provided by a stalwart, 5.9 liter Cummins ISB turbo diesel. Presently, the truck shows 88,632 miles, which is essentially break-in time on an engine that's known to travel up to 500,000 clicks. And everything benefitted from a complete service that was conducted roughly 1,000 miles ago. INTERIOR When you step up to this level, trucks are all about comfort and utility. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed Ford. The stars of the show are leather, power-adjustable buckets and a broad vinyl bench. In front of those thrones, a Flint Gray dash hangs factory telemetry, factory cruise and factory climate control beside navigation-equipped Kenwood audio, a Sirius satellite receiver and hardware for requisite trailer brakes. Below that dash, Flint Gray carpet floats heavy-duty floor mats around a small, factory-spec console. At the sides of that carpet, wood-trimmed door panels found factory speakers beneath power windows, power door locks and power mirrors. And the driver rules the road through a beefy, leather-wrapped steering wheel, which laps a standard tilting column. And, by the looks of it, this incredible Ford F100 is the result of one man's vision, one shop's determination and one very big check. To the layman, this classic might look like a simple, brightly colored pickup. But, in reality, virtually every single component on the truck has been modified or altered in some way. Its body is a smooth combination of solid steel and vivid GM paint. Its drivetrain mixes 460 cubic inches of big block power with a tough automatic transmission. And its interior wraps custom paneling in supple leather trim. Whether you're a diehard Ford guy, or just an enlightened gearhead who appreciates killer design, top-notch custom work, and a polished and powerful drivetrain, this spectacular Effie is just your style! BODYWORK/TRIM As far as popularity goes, no truck has a larger following than Ford's storied F-Series. And '50s F-Series, models that enjoy one of the largest aftermarket support bases in the classic car hobby, are some of the most attractive trucks ever built. Making the best of that era's curvy proportions and a '56-exclusive cab design, this F100 seals hours of impressive labor under slick GM Raspberry Pearl pigment and sophisticated, multi-color stripes. That wet looking 2-stage highlights a laser-straight body, the result of an intense restoration that involved ample fine-tuning. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside of its panels, completely undetectable. And today, this custom rolls as a vivid, fully sorted head turner! Introduced as a 1-year only design, Ford's venerable 'big window' F100 has become one of the most desirable and collectible trucks on the planet. Additionally, its clean profile and sinuous form make it the perfect candidate for the kind of skillful customization you see here. At the front of the truck, a chromed and shaved grille hangs bright halogen headlights above painted, mail slot parking lamps, and a painted and tucked bumper. Behind that grille, a smoothed and shaved hood leads the eye to dark-tint glass that's founded at a filled cowl, cleared by correct windshield wipers, and reflected in tinted and body-matched mirrors. At the sides of that glass, shaved doors cap a familiar profile that's finished with massaged running boards and wide rear fenders. At the center of that profile, a custom tonneau stretches sculpted leather over a smoothed, wood-floored bed that anchors two nitrous tanks in front of a polished fuel cell, a polished battery box and a polished storage box. And at the back of that bed, a custom, swing-away tailgate shades a custom roll pan that features clean mail slot taillights. ENGINE While Ford's trusty Y-block is a good engine that provides a solid ownership experience, this F100's high quality restoration includes high quality upgrades. And those high quality upgrades begin with 460 cubic inches of big block V8: a set-up that served duty as the F-Series' top option mill for many years. The motor's energy mixture is supplied by a big Holley carburetor, which is threaded onto polished fluid lines, a liquid-filled Summit pressure gauge, braided Russell feeds and a reliable Mallory regulator. That decked and coated 4-barrel rides between a polished air cleaner, a coated intake and polished and painted valve covers that sport cool MQQN Equipment breathers. At the front of those valve covers, a proven MSD distributor sequences fire through loomed Accel Ferro-Spiral Race Wires. That fire is kept in check by a beefy, color-keyed radiator, which is mated to a polished shroud that frames a large, color-keyed pulley fan. A polished serpentine system spins a chrome alternator, modern power steering and modern air conditioning while spent gases float through wide, hand-fabricated headers. And, in case Ford monster block motivation simply won't do, there's a complete NOS Powershot system that's bolted, wired and ready blow. Aesthetically, vivid GM Raspberry Pearl paint ensures the truck is more than just a random curbside attraction. And details like polished fluid reservoirs, an array of chrome hardware and a trick, forward-tilt hood are sure to attract plenty of adoring fans. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Behind that ferocious big block, a stout C6 3-speed spins a hearty aluminum driveshaft, which twists a narrowed Currie 9-inch that's complete with an aluminum center section and tall, 4.11 gears. That first-class drivetrain is held off the ground by a thoroughly massaged chassis, which, along with solid floors, has been bathed in the same stripes and raspberry color scheme as the truck's smooth exterior panels. At the front of that chassis, a Heidts Superide suspension utilizes power rack-and-pinion steering, polished tubular control arms and familiar RideTech shocks to combine a pleasant ride with a good stance. At the back of that chassis, a polished 4-link utilizes modern coil-over-shocks to provide drag strip worthy launches. Serious stops to counter the truck's serious power come courtesy of four vented discs and four polished, power-assisted calipers. The aforementioned headers feed an H-shaped crossover, polished, glasspack-style mufflers and fully polished side-exit pipes. And all that muscle rides on slick Coys wheels, which roll 26x8.00R18 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs in front of 31x18.00R20 Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/Rs. With a beefy drivetrain that's supplemented with ancillaries like Wilwood brake components, a deep-sump oil pan, stainless fluid lines and high quality Mallory fuel components, this Ford is the real deal. And with the kind of detailing that includes, among other things, body-matched, undercoated wheel wells, it'll fare well at any show you chose to attend! INTERIOR Climb inside this F100's supple cockpit and you'll find a custom leather interior that's an exercise in style and solitude. Front and center, an extended, body-matched dash founds simple Auto Meter telemetry beneath a prominent Auto Meter Sport-Comp memory tach. Opposite that dash, supple buckets stretch pliable leather under color-keyed seatbelts. Between those seats, a custom console centers a nitrous-enhanced shifter behind a modern Alpine head unit, controls for a Vintage Air climate system and buttons for the truck's RideTech air bags. At the bottom of that console, premium carpet frames custom kick panels, billet foot pedals and a chrome fire extinguisher. At the edges of that carpet, bold door panels tuck hidden handles and small puddle lamps inside fully striped jambs. And the driver stays connected to the road through a tilting column that spins a sweet Lecarra steering wheel. DOCUMENTATION Our sale includes two small filing cabinets of that are comprised of:Restoration photosRestoration receiptsComponent paperwork Customs like this super cool Ford continue to prove that trucks are rapidly transcending from working-class hot rods to choice trophy winners. It takes vision, time, skill, talent, dedication and a wheel barrel full of dollars to finish a vehicle of this caliber. That said; this Ford's construction cost was probably double our asking price. And at this level, there's simply no comparison to garden-variety hot rods. About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. From the stalwart C-Series to the hardcore Raptor, every iteration of 'Built Ford Tough' has transformed a solid clientele of buyers into a devout following of gearheads. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding blue ovals, and this sleek '49 resto-mod is just the latest in a series of sweet F-Series head turners. Mixing a tweaked Windsor and tough C6 3-speed with bodywork that'll sit well at any car show, this road-ready warrior is worthy of EVERY Ford fan's full attention. If you're shopping for a clean classic that mixes modern detailing with purposeful simplicity, take a close look at this slick F1! A mostly solid work truck that hails from Oregon, this super cool pickup recently received a roof-to-rocker makeover that was completed in the fall of 2012. That body-off reboot started with a through sandblasting, which lead to repaired floorpans and reworked running boards. With those minor rust issues addressed, Tom Phillips Woodworks of Ashland, Oregon bolted up some hand-rubbed Hickory sideboards. Then the truck traveled to Carrs Auto Body in Gold Hill, Oregon where a clean coat of BMW Bronzit 2-stage was completely color-sanded and carefully buffed. And today, that pigment's combination of excellent reflections and Kansas-flat surfaces showcases a subdued and sophisticated classic that's essentially timeless. Not surprisingly, this awesome Ford's first rate detailing highlights both its solid form and smoothed lines. At the front of the truck, a vented hood rides above bold "F O R D" lettering, a chrome, Ford-branded grille and clean halogen headlights. At the sides of that grille, a pinstriped profile hangs simple "F1" emblems below twisting door handles and arced mirrors. At the top of that profile, tinted glass rides between electronic windshield wipers, a custom Center High Mount Stop Lamp and a stainless-trimmed, Hickory bed. And at the back of that bed, a striped and "Ford" branded tailgate hangs above polished taillights and a small chrome bumper. Toss the truck's lightweight hood and you'll find a 351 cubic inch Windsor crate motor that creates a stout 325 horsepower. Wholly appropriate, since the cast iron Windsor is well known for its rugged durability, this hot rod was built to tow AND haul! At the top of the proven mill, a polished Edelbrock carburetor rides under a clean K&N X-Stream air filter. Below that carburetor, a coated Edelbrock Performer RPM intake anchors a high quality MSD Pro-Billet distributor between polished Ford Racing valve covers and loomed MSD Super Conductor plug wires. And, below those wires, heat-wrapped shorties funnel spent gases in to a 3-inch exhaust system while a color-keyed Walker radiator cycles water around March pulleys and an electric puller fan. As you can see, the thoroughly massaged engine bay wears matching Bronzit skin. All the motor's ancillary components, from its MSD coil and Lokar throttle linkage to its braided fluid lines and American Autowire wiring, are high quality aftermarket pieces. And, if you're a sucker for the details, the truck's airbrushed battery box is an enduringly cool touch. During its youth, this classic spent most days living outside and working hard. So, when the time came for rebirth, the truck was a prime candidate for thorough modernization. Nowhere is that theme more evident than under the skin. The 351's power flows from a kitted C6 3-speed to a sturdy Strange 9-inch that's fitted with a limited-slip differential and beefy 3.73 gears. That familiar drivetrain pushes a professionally boxed and braced chassis on gas shocks and traditional leaf springs. Tracking is provided by a Total Cost Involved front clip, which benefits from gas shocks, power rack-and-pinion steering and 2-inch drop spindles. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to power-assisted discs at all four corners. At the center of the floor, custom, 3-inch exhaust, which along with the truck's fuel tank was built by Medford's own Allin Specialties Cars & Automotive, breathes through a throaty Magnaflow muffler. And, at the corners of the chassis, Wheel Vintiques steelies twist 255/50R17 Yokohama S/Ts in front of 275/60R17 Yokohama S/Ts. When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a stylish and comfortable cockpit that was detailed by Greg's Upholstery in Grants Pass, Oregon. Top dead center, a clean dash hangs Auto Meter telemetry above well-integrated ducting for modern air conditioning. In front of that dash, a cushy Glide seat, which features a folding armrest, wears a supple ultraleather hide. At the sides of that seat, ultraleather door panels anchor traditional chrome handles above tidy pulls. Under those panels, clean carpet founds color-keyed floor mats beneath Lokar foot pedals and a familiar Lokar shifter. Opposite that carpet, a tweed headliner stretches tight behind a polished mirror and matching sun visors. And in front of the driver, a tilting column spins a Carrera banjo-style steering wheel. The sale of this gentrified workhorse includes an album of restoration photos, a 2012 appraisal from Auto Appraisal Network, a showboard, a vinyl bed floor cover and a complete car cover. Perpetually cool and visually stunning, this awesome Ford is a classic example of the skill and creativity that defines our hobby. With its clean craftsmanship and excellent asking price, it presents the rare opportunity to land a well-done trophy winner that doubles as a well-done road warrior. Don't miss your chance to own this sweet resto-mod! About This Auction Please note that all sales are binding and final. Our cars are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied. That's why we simply couldn't wait to tell you about this awesome Raven Black fastback! Fully documented, wearing a fresh restoration and featuring a killer 428/3-speed drivetrain, this Ford is an excellent example of one of the finest muscle cars ever produced. And if you're a discerning enthusiast who demands the very best in high caliber, investment grade classics, it's the story you've been patiently waiting to hear! BODYWORK/TRIM Delivered to Healy Motors of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, this awesome Shelby likely spent very little time in the showroom before its big power and big style were unleashed on big city streets. After roughly four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free driving, the car received a ground-up restoration that included stripping and reworking each of its solid panels. Once those laser-straight lines and super-smooth surfaces were adequately prepped, correct Raven Black base was buried in thick clear and decorated with precise GT500 KR side stripes. And today, this razor-sharp Shelby rolls as a first-class showpiece that can anchor any serious muscle car collection or hedge any major investment portfolio. The GT500 threw fuel on the muscle car fire by not only adding power, but also introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang styling cues ever created. At the front of this KR, a stainless-trimmed grille hangs big Lucas driving lamps between clear Ford headlights, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to a correct fiberglass hood, which is founded in mirror-like stainless and like-new glass. At the sides of that glass, a straight profile hangs small scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and subtle fender extensions around traditional door handles, correct chrome mirrors and dent-free rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and a correct, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE Now that you've waded through all the flowery prose about paint and trim, it's time to get down to business. Lift the car's lightweight hood and you'll find 428 cubic inches of Ford V8 that's been completely rebuilt from its big 4-barrel carburetor all the way down to its (D) April 17th (17), 1967 (7) casting date. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crankshaft, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a "COBRA JET" branded air cleaner over a high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a stock radiator, which circulates water through pliable FoMoCo hoses. And charging is provided by squeak-free belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator and correct power steering via simple black pulleys. Aesthetically, the clean engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's tagged Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank, appears fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find exceedingly clean floors that are every bit as solid as the body's straight exterior panels. The tough C6 3-speed, one of 523 bolted under 1968 KRs, spins a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, sturdy leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. Power meets the ground through 215/65R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As, which are wrapped around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. And everything, from the car's stainless fluid lines to its "COBRA" branded oil pan, appears safe, lucid and ready to roll. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed, chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio and requisite Carroll Shelby autograph. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby branded sill plates. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar perfectly complements a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, pliable door panels feature bright stainless trim, spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk hides a new mat, fresh decklid decals and Goodyear Speedway 350 spare. That's really all we need to say to build excitement for our latest investment grade Ford. Of course, the car HAS benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed in May of 2015. So I guess that bumps the word count to eight with: rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. Then again, it's also a fully documented piece, which lands us at: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR. But wait, I almost forgot about its gleaming coat of killer Lime Gold pigment. So how about: fully documented, rotisserie restored Shelby Nationals Concours Heritage Gold GT500KR that's decked in correct Lime Gold 2-stage? Yeah, that sounds good. But trust us, if you like the sound of that sentence, you're going to LOVE the car it describes! BODYWORK/TRIM According to Ford expert Kevin Marti, this registry-listed Shelby was produced on May 14th, 1968 and delivered down south to Rivers Ford of Monroe, Louisiana. After four decades of excellent maintenance and accident-free living, the car was purchased by its present owner and enjoyed as a solid driver. As we all know, drivers are fun, and the car racked up quite a few MCA Concours awards in that state, but sometimes it's just better to take things to the next level. So, in 2014, this clean Mustang benefitted from a professional, rotisserie restoration that was completed by Shelby specialist Tim Lea of North Andover, Massachusetts. When the car emerged from the shop in May of 2015, everything was 100% correct all the way down to original, assembly-spec oil and air filters. And today, sporting correct Lime Gold Metallic 2-stage under familiar Shelby side stripes, it rolls as a first-class showpiece that secured a Gold at the 2015 Ford/Shelby Nationals in the Concours Heritage Class, and a Silver at SAAC 40 in Division II Concours judging. Naturally, a build this extensive involved quite a bit of original bolt-ons that, according to this KR's owner, were professionally re-plated as needed. At the front of the car, original fiberglass centers a stainless-trimmed grille behind clear Ford headlights, big Lucas driving lamps, a bright chrome bumper and bullet-style parking lamps. At the top of that grille, a familiar "S H E L B Y" script leads the eye to an original fiberglass hood, which is founded beneath mirror-like stainless and a SuperGlass-massaged greenhouse. At the sides of that greenhouse, a straight profile hangs original scoops, ornate Cobra Jet emblems and original fender extension around traditional door handles, a correct chrome mirror and NOS rocker guards. And at the back of that profile, a smooth silver valence centers correct taillights and a detailed fuel filler between a second chrome bumper, bright reverse lamps, KR-exclusive exhaust tips and an original, "S H E L B Y" branded decklid. ENGINE While the car's professionally rebuilt engine isn't original equipment, it is a highly accurate, date-correct 428. Long regarded as one of the most iconic mills ever created, factory-supplied Cobra Jets utilized a strengthened medium block, heavy-duty rods, a nodular crank, and larger valves and ports to produce an advertised 335 horsepower. At the top of the engine, ram air cowl induction centers a correct, SM8S-equipped air cleaner over a date-correct carburetor and high performance intake. At the sides of that intake, cast iron heads hang crinkle-finish Cobra LeMans valve covers over fully restored exhaust manifolds. The fires are lit by a familiar points distributor, which sequences sparks through fresh Autolite Radio Resistance plug wires. Cooling comes courtesy of a re-cored radiator, which circulates water through pliable Autolite hoses and vintage screw clamps. And charging is provided by squeak-free V-belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator between correct power steering and correct smog equipment. Aesthetically, the marked and decaled engine bay appears very close to original, featuring an even combination of Satin Black and Ford Blue paint. And everything, from the car's factory brake booster and fresh Autolite battery to its tidy Ford washer tank and fresh Autolite voltage regulator, is fully sorted and ready to show. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Take a look under this Mustang and you'll find correct, Oxide Red floors that are such a close interpretation of the car's original foundation that they back correct Lime Gold overspray with factory-accurate paint drips. A tough C6 3-speed utilizes a correctly marked Dead Nuts On driveshaft to spin a correct Traction-Lok differential around correct 3.50 gears. At the front of that drivetrain, a rebuilt suspension centers a beefy sway bar and the aforementioned power steering between correct power disc brakes. At the back of that drivetrain, correct C7ZA leaf springs hang correct drum brakes at the edges of a clean stainless fuel tank. At the center of that suspension, fresh exhaust pipes funnel spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, small resonators and a transversely mounted muffler. And power meets the ground through E70-15 Kelsey repros, which wrap correct, KR-exclusive black sidewalls around appropriate Shelby 10-spokes. INTERIOR Naturally, Ol' Shel focused most of his energy on the performance and appearance of America's most revered pony car. And when those attributes were combined with Ford's already excellent interior, it paid big dividends. The first thing you'll notice is a snazzy wood-rimmed and chrome-trimmed steering wheel. Behind that wheel, a great looking dash frames a correct 140 MPH speedometer and 8,000 RPM tachometer beside a correct Philco radio. Opposite that dash, knitted vinyl seats are in spectacular shape, presenting hardly any evidence of use. Between those seats, a full-length console anchors small Stewart Warner accessory gauges in front of a slick Shelby shifter and correct, cobra-branded armrest. Beneath that console, like-new carpet rides tight between Shelby-branded sills. Opposite that carpet, a Shelby-spec roll bar and decaled sun visors perfectly complement a fresh headliner. At the base of that roll bar, which serves as a requisite foundation for Python-restored seatbelts, pliable door panels mix bright stainless trim and spotless chrome handles and clean wood accents. And at the back of the cockpit, a fully restored trunk sandwiches a matching Kelsey spare between a new mat and fresh decklid decal. How about one with some of the best vintage styling ever draped over two doors and four tires? If the answer is a resounding "YES", this 1956 Ford Victoria is exactly the car you've been searching for! With its massaged Thunderbird V8, modern 4-speed transmission and stunning orange and white color combination, this Fairlane is the perfect classic for anyone who enjoys exploring the open road. If you're looking to add a little spice to your weekend routine, here's the perfect way to take Sunday drives to a whole new level! BODYWORK/TRIM Solid and straight, the car's picturesque fuselage reflects a rich combination of Mandarin Orange and Colonial White 2-stage that creates a clean and classy demeanor. From its glossy roof to its chip-free rockers, that paint's smooth finish is nice enough to be the star at any hometown show, and certainly nicer than Ford's original, factory-applied lacquer. Naturally, a star of that caliber requires top-notch panel fit. And it definitely appears the folks involved in this Victoria's 2011 rotisserie restoration spent a lot of time making sure the car's streamlined body maintained excellent cohesion. Not surprisingly, this exceptional Fairlane mixes re-plated trim with a roster of cool and carefully duplicated details. At the front of the car, an exaggerated egg-crate grille hangs a small AACA Touring plaque between clean headlights, chrome-trimmed parking lamps, intricate header emblems and a mirrored bumper that bends around peaked fenders. Between those fenders, a chrome-detailed hood leads the eye to tinted glass that's framed by thick trim, cleared by bright wipers and reflected in a correct mirror. Below that mirror, classy door handles, subtle fender skirts and polished rocker guards perfectly complement elaborate side sweeps, expressive "Victoria" scripts and small "THUNDERBIRD V8" emblems. And opposite those emblems, a pivotal "Fairlane" badge rides between chrome-trimmed, jet-inspired taillights and a second wraparound bumper. ENGINE Hoist this Ford's lightweight hood and you'll find a correct, 292 cubic inch Thunderbird V8 that, during the car's extensive restoration, was bored .030 over, fully rebuilt and fitted with 12-volt electronic ignition. Introduced in 1955, this stout little Y-block remained an option in blue oval staples well into the mid-1970s. At the top of the bright orange mill, a familiar silver air cleaner draws wind into an updated, 390cfm Holley, which is stacked between a Lokar throttle linkage and fresh stainless fuel lines. Atomized octane passes through a stock intake manifold to correct, cast iron heads, which cap a balanced rotating assembly. At the front of those heads, a rebuilt generator and correct fan spin in unison as a restored radiator keeps things cool via pliable hoses. And spark comes courtesy of a traditional points distributor, which sequences fire through 7mm High Temperature Static Suppression cables. From its black, Thunderbird-branded valve covers to its fresh Autolite battery topper, this cruiser's glossy engine bay presents a clean, authentic appearance. And best of all, the 202 horsepower mill fires instantly and sounds surprisingly beefy through cast iron exhaust manifolds and factory-style tail pipes. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION At the bottom of this Victoria, a fully sorted undercarriage houses professionally restored floors that are bolted to lots of factory-correct components. Nice enough to show but still fully drivable, this is the perfect compromise for enthusiasts who like to display their classic AND enjoy occasional weekend getaways. Behind the aforementioned Y-block, the car's modern AOD 4-speed, a rebuilt unit originally sourced from a 1991 Mustang GT, sends power to a factory Ford axle. A sturdy suspension remains in its original configuration with coils up front, leafs out back and traditional manual steering. Braking is quick and adequate thanks to fresh drums at all four corners. On the outside of those drums, painted steel wheels spin 215/75R15 Eldorado whitewalls around classy chrome hubcaps. And all the chassis' parts feature an immaculate, weather-free appearance, reinforcing the idea that it's been a very long time since this hardtop's seen daily-driver duty. INTERIOR 2-tone paint is legendary for its characteristically '50s feel. And when paired with this Fairlane's airy interior, it creates the perfect culmination of style and sophistication. Thanks to the car's high quality restoration, its gridded bench seats will be livable for years to come. Front and center, factory gauges, a correct AM radio and a quartz-movement clock look great inside a stylish, Ford-branded dash. At the sides of that dash, scuff-free door panels center chrome handles and small armrests between body-matched frames and unique, Lion-branded sills. Those sills pin tight carpet that still features bright orange loops. In front of the driver, a body-matched steering wheel spins a Mandarin rim around a chrome, Ford-branded horn ring. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk anchors a fresh plaid mat next to a full-size spare tire. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATION AND ACCESSORIESA service manualBuild receipts It doesn't matter whether you're a Ford guy, MoPar guy or Chevy guy, this impressive Victoria is one of those cars that transcends barriers and claims universal appeal. Its great looks, great performance and great color combo all add up to an exceptional classic that can be driven and enjoyed every day of the summer. Indulge as is, or tinker with it to make it sharper, either way you'll have a high value cruiser that has unmatched curb appeal and the muscle to back it up! But rare is the masterpiece that can so seamlessly blend two completely different vehicles as this stately Ford Thunderbird. You see, this classic bird's profile is merely an attractive illusion as, underneath its surface, smooth 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII mechanicals are right and ready to cruise! Complete with a rebuilt InTech V8, a modern automatic transmission and independent air ride suspension, this stunning Lincoln, err, Ford mixes the best aesthetics of one of Detroit's most storied creations with the mechanical prowess of one of America's greatest luxury coupes. Looking for a truly exceptional, truly unique collector car? This imposing 'Bigbird' is unmistakably you! BODYWORK/TRIM Professionally assembled by Charlotte's own Finished Dreams Restoration, and professionally painted by Winston-Salem's The Paint Shop, this Ford's lust-inducing body reflects a picturesque coat of Raven Black 2-stage. From its glossy shine to its chip-free rocker panels, that paint's deep finish is nice enough to be the star at any local cruise night, and certainly nicer than the car's original, factory-applied pigment. Naturally, a star of that caliber requires top notch panel fit, as the folks who bolted this coupe together spent ample time making sure its jet-inspired fuselage maintained excellent cohesion. Modern headlights, Mark VIII door handles and a power moonroof perfectly complement turquoise birds and brilliant trim that was carefully refinished by the pros at Advanced Plating in Nashville, Tennessee. And today, this classic rolls as a stunning tribute to one of the coolest designs to ever fly out of Dearborn, Michigan. ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN Toss the car's chrome-trimmed hood and you'll find a 32-valve dual overhead cam Lincoln InTech V8 that's one of the hottest and most versatile engines Ford ever produced. Stout, solid and highly adaptable, these Teksid aluminum blocks have spent the last two decades powering everything from Mustangs and street rods to Aviators and Panoz roadsters. And not only does the modern gem crank out roughly 300 horsepower, it also features a tidy appearance that, when combined with the car's monochromatic engine bay, literally looks tailor-made. That high tech mill, fully rebuilt back in 2009, sends power to a Mark VIII-spec 4R70W 4-speed automatic transmission. And that gearbox twists a Mark VIII-spec rear axle that's fitted with mild, 3.08 gears. CHASSIS/SUSPENSION The interesting thing about Finished Dreams is the quality of their conversions. Instead of a simple engine swap, or a pro-touring style adaptation, this '61 T-Bird's body is actually mated to its Lincoln donor chassis as one complete structure. The car's floor and frame are straight Lincoln. That duo is supported by Lincoln's fully independent suspension, which retains the computer-controlled air ride that made the Mark VIII so famous. Power rack-and-pinion steering provides modern turning ability. Pound on the left pedal and power-assisted, 4-wheel disc brakes utilize factory ABS to fulfill a quick stop. Romp on the right pedal and a Ford-spec exhaust system creates a subdued roar. And at the corners, handsome Dayton wires twist 275/40ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force Sports. INTERIOR One of the central themes of pro-touring is creating cars that, despite their appearance, are much easier to live with than their factory-correct peers. Nowhere is that mindset more prevalent than inside this 'bird's full Mark VIII interior. The passengers are treated to plush leather seats, which feature full power adjustment for the driver and front passenger. In front of those seats, a driver-oriented dash anchors Lincoln telemetry beside Lincoln air conditioning and Lincoln audio. Below that dash, fresh carpet centers a simple console between color-keyed floor mats. At the sides of that carpet, sculpted door panels cap power windows and remote controlled power door locks. In front of the driver, a Thunderbird-branded steering wheel laps a modern, tilting column. And behind the passengers, a fully finished trunk features enough luggage room for a quick weekend getaway. It'll run the tires off a stock T-Bird. It rides like a true luxury coupe. And best of all: the car's modern mechanicals can be serviced at any Ford dealer on the planet. Pro-touring is rarely this accessible, and if you're the kind of guy who wants something nobody else has, here's your first class ticket to exclusivity! [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 GT500 Convertible 428 FE Dual Quad V8 5 Speed 4 Link Year: 1967 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Copper Mileage: 238 Transmission type: 5 Speed Manual Engine: 428 Police Intercepter V8 Interior color: Black Vehicle Info Who can forget the 2000 remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds"? Chock-full of Hollywood A-listers, it's a fast paced, high octane classic that twists and turns through two hours of adrenaline-fueled action. Here at RK, we are always seeing recreations of the main attraction of the movie - the 1967 Mustang GT500 known as Eleanor. But every now and again we come across cars like this 1967 Mustang GT500 convertible recreation, that use the famous Eleanor as inspiration while putting modern touches on it. This 428-powered resto-mod is a brilliant mix of performance and flash. At RK Motors Charlotte, we believe the only thing cooler than a car that runs well is a car that turns heads. And this red-hot Mustang is capable of smoking vintage metal at the cruise in AND the race track! Even though this Stang had humble beginnings being a pampered Colorado car for most of its life, today it sits in a vibrant orange and packing some serious FoMoCo power under the hood. Without a doubt the first thing your eye is drawn to with this vehicle is the spectacular orange paint scheme. If you guessed that it was a custom paint color you would be right. The story goes that the previous owner was an ex-House of Kolor representative and created the custom color specifically for this Mustang. Running down the center of the custom orange is painted carbon fiber stripes that add to the incredible overall look of this vehicle. Since most classic car enthusiasts credit Carroll Shelby with introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustangs ever created, it's only natural that the builder opted for a slick Eleanor inspired design. At the car's leading edge, a billet, Shelby-style grille hangs chrome-trimmed headlights, a Shelby R valence and six PIAA driving lamps. At the top of that grille, an aggressive fiberglass hood aligns twist-style pins with clear glass, straight trim and Shelby-style quarter scoops. At the sides of that hood, a Shelby profile highlights traditional door handles, chrome, bullet-style mirrors, and subtle cove scoops. And at the back of that profile, the exhaust exits out in front of the rear tires, while a sculpted decklid hangs prominent like-new tail lights and a straight chrome bumper. Pop the car's lightweight orange hood and you'll find a 428 cubic inch big block V8 that gives new meaning to the words "Go Baby, Go"! Long regarded as one of the meanest mills ever created, Ford's fabled 428 FE remains as one of the kings of stoplight muscle. At the top of the Ford Blue block, a "COBRA" branded air cleaner funnels fresh wind into a big aluminum intake via dual 4-barrel carburetors. At the sides of that carburetor, finned "COBRA 428" valve covers hang over the headers. Aesthetically, the restored engine bay appears very close to an original, featuring an even coat of Satin Black paint. On the bottom of the hood you'll find more painted carbon fiber and the letters "GT500". In front of the engine an aluminum radiator is responsible for cooling the massive Ford block. Underneath this wildly custom Mustang is just as impressive as the rest of the vehicle. Put the GT500 on a lift and you'll see that bolted to the Ford block is a Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to a 3.55 posi-differential. In front of the drivetrain you'll see the fully upgraded front suspension from Total Control. Equipped with a rack and pinion style setup, you'll also find adjustable coil over springs at all four corners of the vehicle. At the rear of the car a Chris Alston 4-link suspension setup, with sway bar, ensures that no corner will get the best of this Stang. Stopping power comes courtesy of Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and, in front of those brakes, 17" Boze rims have been wrapped in Hankook rubber. The luxurious black leather interior is a lot like the rest of the car with a blend of modern and classic Shelby touches. The dashboard has been subtly remodeled to house bright white gauges with silver trim for a traditional, but updated appearance and much better functionality. On the floor like new black carpet flanks both sides of the upgraded center console where you'll find the controls for the 5-speed transmission. The shifter on top of the Tremec looks vintage and displays the correct 5-speed shift pattern. In front of the passenger seat you'll see where Carroll Shelby himself signed the dash. The builders declared that the project was finished only when they towed this Stang to the Shelby Museum and had Shelby himself sign the dash. Behind the driver you'll find a roll bar, and a two more seats that feature the same stitching pattern as the rest of the vehicle. The odometer shows only 238 shakedown miles since the build was completed, ensuring that this car is as good as it can possibly be. The beauty of a tribute car is that it can be anything you want it to be. Love the Shelby lines, but also want modern braking and tires? Just looking for a killer car that will wow crowds everywhere you go, and goes down the road like a much modern piece? Here it is. No compromises, no disclaimers, no excuses. This is every bit as nice as it looks in pictures, and the car's spec sheet bears out its 'no budget' build mentality. Heck, you couldn't duplicate this car for the money, and there are far less potent Mustang convertibles out there that cost more. What are you waiting for? Call now! But when it comes down to sinking big money into a reliable purchase, is that really the car you want? Unless you're just as savvy, and know how to fix one-off pieces if someone miscalculated a bit, probably not. It's not that there's anything wrong with guys building awesome cars themselves. In fact, we'll be the first folks to drool over a really nice custom that shows the creativity of a dedicated enthusiast. But, we also have the ability to offer you professionally built classics that were designed and assembled by some of the best names in the hobby. Fully detailed and ready to rumble, this '68 Mustang is the beneficiary of an extensive, ground-up restoration that turned an everyday Ford into a feature worthy pro-tourer. From its Coyote V8 to its Chassisworks suspension, this fastback is the stuff dreams are made of. And if you're looking for an awesome muscle car that you can spend time riding in, instead of time working on, it's an excellent place to park your money! BODYWORK/TRIM Steal a glance at this Mustang's super slick body and you'll see what high quality craftsmanship that's performed by a dedicated group of individuals truly looks like. Those individuals knuckle down at a place called Samson Design in Marshall, Missouri. And, in what amounts to an epic, 6-figure build, they transformed what was a tired old mule into a show-stopping thoroughbred. Appropriately themed 'Flashback', this Ford's total reboot began with all new sheetmetal that included a pair of OEM front fenders. Once hours of labor had blended that metal into excellent fit and finish, a rich layer of DuPont Magic Red base was sealed under Hot Hues Sandstorm stripes and a glossy clearcoat shell. And, in July of 2014, this clean pony debuted as a red-hot custom that easily trumps most of its pro-touring contemporaries. It's obvious that someone really sweated the details on this Mustang. And with its enhanced, Shelby-style profile, the car presents a professionally finished appearance that goes far beyond traditional descriptors. Up front, a Mustangs to Fear clip hangs custom, Samson-branded grille work between custom, 7-inch headlights, a louvered Mustangs to Fear hood and Eleanor-style driving lamps. Behind that hood, new glass, which includes 1-piece side windows, rides between new stainless wipers, bright stainless frames, shaved drip rails and custom-fabricated quarter louvers. At the sides of that glass, Mustangs to Fear rocker panels lay the groundwork for shaved fenders, racy "Flashback" call-outs, classic door handles and chrome, bullet-style mirrors. And out back, a Mustangs to Fear decklid hangs over sequential, Shelby-style taillights, Mustangs to Fear fender caps, a body-matched bumper and a custom valance that's complete with integrated exhaust ports. ENGINE Hoist this coupe's snug fitting hood and you'll find a 5.0 liter, DOHC 'mod motor' that twists 379 dyno-proven horsepower into 375 lb./ft. of pavement scorching torque! Officially named 'Coyote', and officially known as the backbone of the current Mustang GT, this state-of-the-art rocket utilizes forged internals, oil-cooled hypereutectic pistons, a long runner single scroll intake, variable valve timing and a direct-mount throttle body to create stout 11 to 1 compression all the way up to 7,000 RPM. At the top of the engine, a conical filter element feeds a Sandstorm-painted air tube. At the sides of the engine, clean shorty headers optimize breathing. At the front of the engine, a Vintage Air FrontRunner system spins an assortment of smooth ancillaries. And a beefy Ron Davis radiator, which is fitted with large electric puller fans, provides cooling. The svelte powerplant is extremely tidy, with "POWERED BY FORD" cam covers and a "5.0" branded cowl concealing most of its factory silver block. And the car's show-detailed engine bay is finished with thoughtful accessories like a body-matched nose filler, Lokar drive-by-wire throttle control, a Wilwood master cylinder and snazzy Ringbrothers hood supports. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The bottom of this awesome Mustang is just as impressive as its slick exterior and smooth powerplant. Behind that smooth powerplant, a tough Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed spins a proven Chassisworks FAB9 rear end that's fitted with Strange 31-spline axles. The car's already competent suspension was completely swapped for a Rod & Custom Mustang II front clip and first class Chassisworks g-Link rear half. That 2-inch-dropped hardware was augmented with power rack-and-pinion steering, custom subframe connectors and high quality mini tubs. Braking is equally class, with Wilwood 4-piston calipers squeezing four drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to a custom, 2.5-inch exhaust system that backs an X-shaped crossover with polished Magnaflow mufflers. Detail items, like an Aeromotive fuel pump, a billet fuel regulator and a custom, Sandstorm-painted fuel tank, flesh new floorpans that are protected with body-matched undercoating. And everything rolls on polished American Racing 427 Cobra wheels, which twist 245/45ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs in front of 315/35ZR17 Nitto NT555 Extreme ZRs. INTERIOR Pop the car's doors and you'll find an attractive, well-rounded interior that was installed by the pros at Samson Design. Front and center, power-operated, fourth generation GTO buckets sport high quality vinyl covers. Opposite those seats, an aluminum-trimmed dash founds Auto Meter Phantom gauges between quality Ron Francis wiring, a Pioneer touchscreen head unit and controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system. At the foot of that dash, a custom console centers a booted Tremec shifter between chrome power window switches, billet cupholders and a wide armrest. Below that console, rich carpet balances color-keyed floor mats beneath a Lokar emergency brake assembly and black, billet foot pedals. At the edge of that carpet, custom side panels hang billet handles beneath long armrests. In front of the driver, a sweet Billet Specialties steering wheel spins a flat-bottom rim around a tilting Ididit column. And behind the passengers, big Pioneer speakers front a power-operated trunk that's complete with clean vinyl panels, a color-keyed decklid and a capless fuel filler. Absolutely no expense was spared on this killer Mustang! It combines professional grade performance hardware with one of the coolest bodies in the hobby to create a take-no-prisoners pro-tourer. We'll begin with the number 1. As in: this 1955 F100 is quite possibly the nicest, or '1 of' the nicest, pickups on the planet. Of course, a number that substantial has to have quite a few more numbers to back it up. So, how about 4.5? As in: 4.5 years worth of restoration and customization. Then there's 112,000. As in: $112,000 worth of parts and materials for that restoration and customization. Next comes 295,000. As in: $295,000 worth of labor during that restoration and customization. And last but certainly not least: 425,000 and, once again, 1. As in: the amount the truck appraised for just 1 short year ago. Looking for a world-class showstopper that's above and beyond pretty much anything outside of six-figure corporate builds? Fix your gaze on this incredible custom Effie! BODYWORK/TRIM Professionally rehabilitated and customized during a 6-figure, 4.5-year restoration, this striking F100 spent most of its life as a no-frills American workhorse. In what amounted to a systematic, no-expense-spared rebuild, its solid body was completely stripped, hand-altered and layered in a modified coat of Toyota Hot Lava PPG Deltron 2-stage. And today, the truck rolls as a game changing half-ton that's one part lust and two parts envy! If this Ford is any indication, roughly half a million dollars nets some very impressive attributes. At the front of the truck, a smoothed and painted grille hangs modern halo headlights above clear parking lamps and a modified valance that swaps factory chrome for monochromatic trim. Behind that grille, a shaved hood leads the eye to smoked glass, which plants singled side windows between shaved drip rails and Specialty intermittent wipers. Look closely at the top of that glass and you'll notice that the truck's rather large forehead has been significantly streamlined thanks to careful pancaking and a few inches of forward tilt. Opposite that roof, a flowing profile centers shaved doors and slender hot rod mirrors above custom running boards that frame low-profile exhaust pipes. Those boards melt into heavily modified fenders that, thanks to fresh wheel openings, are completely centered on the trucks axles. Between those fenders, a completely custom bed frames a billet fuel filler in satin-finish wood. And at the back of that bed, a custom tailgate flows in to a custom roll pan that's embedded with Cadillac LED taillights. ENGINE Hoist the shaved and insulated bonnet and you'll find 5.4 liters of Ford mod motor that, thanks to a color-keyed supercharger, twists big horsepower into gobs of stump-pulling torque! At the top of the Jet Black mill, a monochromatic pipe shuttles wind from a remote air cleaner to a Ford throttle body. That wind joins fossils thanks to Ron Francis wiring and Ford electronic injection, which make excellent use of Ford fuel rails and custom fuel lines. As that reaction turns into compression, resultant gases are jettisoned through custom stainless headers. That compression's cooling is provided by a custom aluminum radiator, which stores water in front of a requisite puller fan. There's a modern serpentine system that spins a fresh alternator beside a modern AC compressor. And, aesthetically, the truck's custom engine compartment is exceptionally well done, featuring first-rate ancillaries like SVT coil covers, Canton fluid tanks, a fresh brake booster, a billet hood latch and a billet-secured Optima battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION One peek under this sweet F100 reveals some of the best work money can buy. First and foremost, a heavily modified frame is sandwiched between stainless hardware and color-keyed, undercoated floors. Behind the five-four, an AODE Super StreetFighter 4-speed, rated for up to 500 horsepower, utilizes a 2,400 RPM stall to twist a custom driveshaft. At the end of that driveshaft, a proven Ford 9-inch spins a posi-traction differential around smooth gears and tough, 31-spline axles. That first rate drivetrain pushes a modern 4-link suspension, which features adjustable coil-over-shocks. Tracking is provided by a Heidts Superide front-half, which centers Flaming River power rack-and-pinion steering between two more adjustable coil-overs. Braking is equally class, with Wilwood 6 and 4-piston calipers squeezing a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to stainless, billet-strung pipes, which breathe through throaty Flowmaster mufflers. There's a Rick's stainless fuel tank that's built around an internal fuel pump. And power meets the pavement through Colorado Custom Leadville Aces, which twist 255/45R18 Toyo Proxes in front of 295/45R20 Toyo Proxes. INTERIOR Pop this Ford's electronic doors and you'll find a completely custom interior that blends Hot Lava paint with supple leather trim. Front and center, a tastefully modified dash seats classy VDO telemetry amid components for proven Vintage Air climate control. Opposite that dash, modern bucket seats stretch tight hides under polished buttons. Between those seats, a custom console centers a slender Lokar shifter in front of a polished hand brake and hidden Custom Autosound audio. At the bottom of that console, custom sills frame premium, orange-lit carpet, which rides under color-keyed floor mats and metal foot pedals. At the edges of that carpet, tailored door panels prop billet handles in front of Specialty power windows. At the top of those windows, a sculpted headliner bridges the gap between a billet mirror and leather cab panels. And the driver stays connected to the road through a tilting Flaming River column and color-keyed Budnik wheel. Because of an innate aversion to that sort of 'fine print', many enthusiasts are beginning to rethink the old purist's adage: "original is always better". And hobbyists who actually enjoy driving their vintage hardware are beginning to buy slick, fully sorted classics like this lovingly upgraded Shelby GT350. Featuring a killer 347/5-speed drivetrain that's centered in an original, fully documented shell, this Mustang will make you the star of your own 1-car parade! Looking for some awesome muscle that can be shown AND cruised? When you experience this sweet Shelby, you won't even give the word "original" a second thought! BODYWORK/TRIM Shelby's famed GT line fueled the muscle car fire by introducing some of the coolest and most aggressive Mustang design cues ever created. And, mixing correct cosmetics with a killer stance, this registry-listed coupe definitely keeps the flames stoked. The product of a nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, the car's all-original sheetmetal was completely stripped and carefully reworked into a top-notch thoroughbred profile. Once that intense labor resulted in better than factory fit, original fiberglass was carefully smoothed and supplemented with a KR-style hood. Eventually, that metal and glass was coated in crisp Spies Hecker 2-stage, which hosts laser-straight callouts on a fantastic, mirror-like shine. And the result is one razor-sharp pony car that looks good, runs great and is ready to turn heads for years to come! ENGINE Hoist this Ford's lightweight bonnet and you'll find a 347 cubic inch small block that utilizes a SCAT crank, SCAT rods and proven Lunati cam to twist big compression into impressive, tire-shredding horsepower. At the top of the bright blue mill, a finned Cobra air cleaner funnels oxygen through a Holley 650 carburetor, which is sequenced to a coated fuel pump, 304 stainless fluid lines and a shock proof Marshall pressure gauge. A resulting air/fuel mixture makes its way from an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake to Airflow Research 185 heads, which hide 1.550 springs and Crane Gold Race rockers under a FoMoCo breather and Cobra-branded valve covers. When those heads flood the cylinders, an MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences spark between fresh electricals, an Autolite coil and MSD Super Conductor plug wires. Spent gases roar through TIG welded, Jet-Hot coated Tri-Y headers. Cooling is provided by a Ron Davis Double Pass radiator, which rides in front of an Edelbrock water pump and two SPAL puller fans. A rebuilt alternator spins opposite a KRC power steering pump thanks to stylish billet pulleys. And overall, the car's smooth engine bay is exceptionally well done; featuring cool details like polished fluid reservoirs, a rebuilt brake booster, pliable Ford hoses and a tagged Autolite battery. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Since this Ford's first owner pampered his prized pony for close to 20 years, the car has remained exceptionally solid throughout its entire life. And under its clean, Oxide Red floors, the best virtues of classic Shelby Americana have been augmented with some of today's best technology. Behind the snarling small block, a tough Tremec TKO600 5-speed pairs an aluminum flywheel with a lightened, hydraulically actuated King Cobra clutch. That clutch jerks an aluminum driveshaft, which spins a proven Currie 9-inch that's fitted with 3.89 gears, a Truetrac differential and 31-spline, big bearing axles. That drivetrain pushes an upgraded leaf suspension, which complements Global West reverse eye springs with adjustable QA-1 shocks and Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction bars. Opposite that rear end, a Global West front-half hangs adjustable QA-1 coil-overs between tubular control arms and a large sway bar. Turns come courtesy of Total Control power rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is equally class, with a combination of Baer and Ford calipers utilizing 304 stainless piping to squeeze two 13-inch drilled and slotted rotors and two 12-inch drilled and slotted rotors. The aforementioned headers dump spent gases in to TIG welded, Jet-Hot coated 304 stainless pipes, which employ an X-shaped crossover, polished Magnaflow mufflers and polished stainless tips. Everything rolls on 17-inch Vintage Wheel Works V50s, which twist 235/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As up front and 255/45ZR17 BF Goodrich g-Force T/As out back. And items like a fresh fuel tank, a 7-quart Cobra oil pan and sturdy Global West subframe connectors round out a virtually picture perfect undercarriage. INTERIOR Open the door to this awesome Mustang and you'll find a fully restored cockpit that mixes the best elements of Ford's black vinyl interior with stylish Shelby add-ons. Front-and-center, highly bolstered buckets stretch tight vinyl covers under a tough roll bar and familiar shoulder belts. In front of those seats, an ornate, dual-cowl dash hangs an original pad over a factory Philco radio and clean factory telemetry. Below that dash, a correct console anchors a trick Pro-5.0 shifter between a cobra-branded armrest and Stewart Warner accessory gauges. In front of the driver, a wood-rimmed steering wheel laps a functional Tilt-Away Steering Column. And behind the passengers, a fully restored trunk hides a small fire extinguisher and compact spare tire. BODY Complementing smooth Torch Red 2-stage with bright Shelby call-outs, this spotless Mustang has spent the majority of its life parked in dry storage. Thanks to that shelter, and a noted aversion to rain and wintry weather, the car's most recent owner maintained factory-fresh aesthetics that would be right at home in a dealer's showroom. According to CARFAX, those aesthetics are 100% straight with no history of accidents or damage of any kind. And, according to that same owner, the car benefitted from $8,000 of Ford Racing options before it even logged break-in miles. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION The reborn GT500 celebrated one of the most successful partnerships in performance car history. Take a look under this Mustang's lightweight hood and you'll find a blown 'mod motor' that was heavily influenced by Ford's first generation GT super car. Twist the key and the big V8 rumbles to life, pushing baritone notes through an X-shaped crossover and optional Ford Racing exhaust. Goose the throttle and a roots-style supercharger utilizes an upgraded 2.59 pulley to zing the engine toward redline. That added boost is optimized by cold air induction and VMP tuning. Items like a proven Optima battery and aluminum idler pulley ensure everything stays smooth and reliable. A spotless appearance mixes assembly line technicality with the added pizazz of Shelby reservoir caps, a cobra-branded fuse box and a slick Shelby battery clamp. And it all adds up to one nicely dressed mill that meets the car's flywheel with roughly 600 horsepower! This coupe's excellent, SVT-tuned chassis has been augmented with optional Ford Racing springs, which lower ride height by close to two inches. Between those springs, a slick-shifting Tremec TR6060 6-speed spins power to a tough Ford 8.8-inch axle. At the corners of the car, power-assisted Brembo calipers join power-assisted Ford calipers in squeezing big, vented rotors. Turns come courtesy of Ford's super-efficient power rack-and-pinion setup. Naturally, standard ABS and traction control systems are present and accounted for. And all this first class agility rides on "SVT" branded kicks, which twist 255/45ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s in front of 285/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1s. INTERIOR Inside the car, bolstered seats, which feature embossed Cobra insignias, ride opposite a monochromatic, leather-wrapped steering wheel that's adorned with convenient thumb buttons. The dash is a familiar Mustang layout that frames satin-trimmed telemetry and a programmable "SVT" shift light. Below that dash, a powerful Shaker 1000 stereo utilizes a 6-disc CD changer to become a 1-stop shop for all your audio entertainment needs. Below that stereo, a clean console frames a short-throw shifter that, like the aforementioned steering wheel, is detailed in red French stitching. Beneath that console, rich carpet flows past metal-trimmed foot pedals and cobra-branded floor mats to "SVT" branded sills. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a modern muscle car are ready and waiting including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power driver's seat and Remote Keyless Entry. In fact, an overwhelming level of excitement flooded the Ford camp a couple years back when the man himself typed those exact words into Twitter. And, if you've yet to become a true believer, just take one ride in this showroom-fresh drop-top and you'll line right up to preach the virtues of superchargers and sing the praises of sport suspensions. This stunning S281 Extreme, car number 102 for the 2007 model year, wraps a blown V8 and slick Tremec 6-speed in Saleen's typical array of track-tested technology. Are you looking for an exclusive muscle car that's impressive, easy to live with and up for anything? Then take the lead on this red hot Ford before some other power-hungry gearhead parks it in their trophy case! Logging roughly 9K miles since it rolled out of Irvine, California, virtually every piece of this awesome Mustang retains its factory-fresh glow. The car's super straight body displays a glossy layer of vivid Torch Red basecoat that, judging by its smooth appearance, has been maintained with the utmost care. That bright red pigment lays the groundwork for a blanket of traditional Saleen modifications which are tastefully designed and carefully applied. Of course, this blue oval bombshell has never seen major body work because it's a 100% accident-free showpiece that's been in the hands of dedicated enthusiasts. There's essentially nothing on the car that could be considered more than prerequisite shelf wear. And, as your number one source for Fords of all ages, we're proud to present it as the latest in our long line of exceptional modern Mustangs! Combining clean factory sheetmetal with a functional aero kit, this awesome Ford rarity is ready to parade the midway and willing to tackle the track. At the front of its body, an injection-molded valence hangs a silver "102" between a Saleen carbon splitter, a "SALEEN" branded grille and Saleen HID headlights. Behind those lights, a vented Saleen hood, which mixes added clearance with functional heat extraction, leads the eye to black mirrors and "SALEEN" branded glass that's topped by a black canvas roof. At the sides of that roof, aggressive Saleen rockers frame small stripes and subtle "S281 EXTREME" emblems. And at the back of the car, a large Saleen spoiler and custom body extensions complement a textured valence, a "SALEEN" branded bumper and a Saleen carbon diffuser that frames centered Saleen exhaust. Saleen's oft-repeated motto has always been "Power in the Hands of a Few". And with this Mustang, there's LOTS of power in the hands of VERY few. Locked, loaded and ready to roll, the 24-valve, single overhead cam monster that rumbles under the aforementioned hood is, by far, the car's biggest selling point. A smooth, rev-happy V8 that's based on Ford's award-winning 'mod motor', this mill can trace its proven reliability to everything from Mustangs and Explorers to F-150s and Mountaineers. And, thanks to the addition of Saleen's Series VI supercharger, it twists a killer 550 horsepower into 525 lb./ft. of tire melting torque! Visually, the storied engine's frame comes together just as well as the outside of the car. Saleen's install is exceptionally clean, forgoing the 'plastic dome of doom' engine cover trend in favor of a Saleen-branded centerpiece, clean fuel rails and a small Saleen plaque. The hot mill is a melting pot of machined and natural finishes that contrast well against the car's bright red paint. And best of all, this muscle-bound brute will fire up in any weather, drive thousands of miles before anyone needs to turn its bolts, and certainly lay waste to almost any old school muscle car that's brave enough to pick a fight. The greatest advancement granted by the current Mustang platform is its ability to corner like a true thoroughbred. Ford's standard Macpherson Strut and Panhard Rod set up offers some of the purest handling found in any OEM street car. And, in keeping with their own race ancestry, Saleen's Racecraft engineers carefully chose springs, shocks, and struts that augment that already impressive chassis without sacrificing ride quality. Behind the car's supercharged engine, a rugged Tremec T56 6-speed drives big 4.10 gears that mix spectacular wheel spin with great acceleration. Charred dinosaurs are expelled through a modified exhaust system, which incorporates Saleen's vacuum-actuated mufflers into big, 2.5-inch pipes. Braking is handled by a combination of OEM Ford calipers, 6-piston Saleen calipers and vented and slotted rotors. Ample grip is supplied by familiar Saleen blades, which spin meaty 275/35ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Rossos in front of meatier 275/40ZR20 Pirelli P Zero Rossos. And overall, this drop-top feels like it was made to literally chase the sun! Slide inside this low-slung Ford and you'll immediately notice that its stitched and louvered seats are every bit as comfortable as they are attractive. In front of those "SALEEN" branded buckets, a familiar Mustang dash hangs Saleen black-face telemetry behind satin silver trim, Saleen ancillary gauges and a small Saleen plaque. Below that dash, Shaker 500 audio combines with factory climate control and a Rockford Fosgate Punch System to become a one-stop shop for all your convenience needs. Beneath those systems, a wide console anchors a close-ratio Saleen shifter in front of ample storage space. Beneath that console, like-new carpet floats between color-keyed Saleen foot pedals and attractive Saleen sills. Above those sills, sculpted door panels hang full-length armrests between big kick speakers and small metal handles. And naturally, all the luxuries you'd expect in a high dollar muscle car are present and accounted for including: cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a power driver's seat, and remote keyless entry that's complete with built in theft deterrent software. Naturally, the sale of this super clean Extreme includes a stack of provenance. It's essentially a brand new car with a roster of well-engineered components that add both performance and prestige. Don't miss your chance to own one of the coolest Fords ever built!
